ਤਿਹ ਹਮ ਜਾਏ ॥
tih ham jaae |

ਹੈਂ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥
hain due bhaaee |

ਸੁਨਿ ਰਘੁਰਾਈ ॥੮੧੧॥
sun raghuraaee |811|

“O the king of Raghu clan! she has come to the forest and given birth to us and we are two brothers.”811.

ਸੁਨਿ ਸੀਅ ਰਾਨੀ ॥
sun seea raanee |

ਰਘੁਬਰ ਜਾਨੀ ॥
raghubar jaanee |

ਚਿਤ ਪਹਿਚਾਨੀ ॥
chit pahichaanee |

ਮੁਖ ਨ ਬਖਾਨੀ ॥੮੧੨॥
mukh na bakhaanee |812|

When Sita heard and came to know about Ram, she then, even recognizing him, did not utter a word from her mouth.812.

ਤਿਹ ਸਿਸ ਮਾਨਯੋ ॥
tih sis maanayo |

ਅਤਿ ਬਲ ਜਾਨਯੋ ॥
at bal jaanayo |

ਹਠਿ ਰਣ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
hatth ran keeno |

ਕਹ ਨਹੀ ਦੀਨੋ ॥੮੧੩॥
kah nahee deeno |813|

She forbade her sons and told them, “Ram is extremely mighty, you are persistently waging a war against him.” Saying this even Sita did not say the whole thing.813.

ਕਸਿ ਸਰ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
kas sar maare |

ਸਿਸ ਨਹੀ ਹਾਰੇ ॥
sis nahee haare |

ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਬਾਣੰ ॥
bahu bidh baanan |

ਅਤਿ ਧਨੁ ਤਾਣੰ ॥੮੧੪॥
at dhan taanan |814|

Those boys did not retreat and accept defeat and discharged their arrows with full force after stretching their bows.814.

ਅੰਗ ਅੰਗ ਬੇਧੇ ॥
ang ang bedhe |

ਸਭ ਤਨ ਛੇਦੇ ॥
sabh tan chhede |

ਸਭ ਦਲ ਸੂਝੇ ॥
sabh dal soojhe |

ਰਘੁਬਰ ਜੂਝੇ ॥੮੧੫॥
raghubar joojhe |815|

Al the limbs of Ram were pierced and his whole body eroded, the whole army came to know this that Ram had passed away.815.

ਜਬ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
jab prabh maare |

ਸਭ ਦਲ ਹਾਰੇ ॥
sabh dal haare |

ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਭਾਗੇ ॥
bahu bidh bhaage |

ਦੁਐ ਸਿਸ ਆਗੇ ॥੮੧੬॥
duaai sis aage |816|

When Ram passed away, then the whole army began to flee accordingly in front of those two boys.816.

ਫਿਰਿ ਨ ਨਿਹਾਰੈਂ ॥
fir na nihaarain |

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨ ਚਿਤਾਰੈਂ ॥
prabhoo na chitaarain |

ਗ੍ਰਹ ਦਿਸਿ ਲੀਨਾ ॥
grah dis leenaa |

ਅਸ ਰਣ ਕੀਨਾ ॥੮੧੭॥
as ran keenaa |817|

They were not even turning around to see Ram, and being helpless they fled away to whichever side they could.817.

ਤਬ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਬਾਲ ਅਯੋਧਨ ਦੇਖਾ ॥
tab duhoon baal ayodhan dekhaa |

ਮਨੋ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਕੀੜਾ ਬਨਿ ਪੇਖਾ ॥
mano rudr keerraa ban pekhaa |

Then both the boys without any anxiety, looked towards the battlefield like Rudra surveying the forest

ਕਾਟਿ ਧੁਜਨ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥
kaatt dhujan ke brichh savaare |

ਭੂਖਨ ਅੰਗ ਅਨੂਪ ਉਤਾਰੇ ॥੮੧੮॥
bhookhan ang anoop utaare |818|

The banners were cut and attached to the trees and the unique ornaments of the soldiers were removed from their limbs and thrown away.818.

ਮੂਰਛ ਭਏ ਸਭ ਲਏ ਉਠਈ ॥
moorachh bhe sabh le utthee |

ਬਾਜ ਸਹਿਤ ਤਹ ਗੇ ਜਹ ਮਾਈ ॥
baaj sahit tah ge jah maaee |

Those who were unconscious, the boys raised them and reached the place alongwith the horses, where Sita was sitting

ਦੇਖਿ ਸੀਆ ਪਤਿ ਮੁਖ ਰੋ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
dekh seea pat mukh ro deenaa |

ਕਹਯੋ ਪੂਤ ਬਿਧਵਾ ਮੁਹਿ ਕੀਨਾ ॥੮੧੯॥
kahayo poot bidhavaa muhi keenaa |819|

Seeing her dead husband Sita said, “O sons! you have made me a widow.”819.

ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕੇ ਰਾਮਵਤਾਰ ਲਵ ਬਾਜ ਬਾਧਵੇ ਰਾਮ ਬਧਹ ॥
eit sree bachitr naattake raamavataar lav baaj baadhave raam badhah |

ਅਥ ਸੀਤਾ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਏ ਕਥਨੰ ॥
ath seetaa ne sabh jeevaae kathanan |

ਅਬ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕਾਸਟ ਦੇ ਆਨਾ ॥
ab mo kau kaasatt de aanaa |

ਜਰਉ ਲਾਗਿ ਪਹਿ ਹੋਊਾਂ ਮਸਾਨਾ ॥
jrau laag peh hoaooaan masaanaa |

“Bring wood for me so that I may get myself reduced to ashes with my husband.”

ਸੁਨਿ ਮੁਨਿ ਰਾਜ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਿਧਿ ਰੋਏ ॥
sun mun raaj bahut bidh roe |

ਇਨ ਬਾਲਨ ਹਮਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਖੋਏ ॥੮੨੦॥
ein baalan hamare sukh khoe |820|

Hearing this the great sage (Valmiki) lamented greatly and said, “These boys have destroyed all our comforts.”820.

ਜਬ ਸੀਤਾ ਤਨ ਚਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਢੂੰ ॥
jab seetaa tan chahaa ki kaadtoon |

ਜੋਗ ਅਗਨਿ ਉਪਰਾਜ ਸੁ ਛਾਡੂੰ ॥
jog agan uparaaj su chhaaddoon |

When Sita said this that she would forsake her body by emanating the Yoga-fire from his own body,

ਤਬ ਇਮ ਭਈ ਗਗਨ ਤੇ ਬਾਨੀ ॥
tab im bhee gagan te baanee |

ਕਹਾ ਭਈ ਸੀਤਾ ਤੈ ਇਯਾਨੀ ॥੮੨੧॥
kahaa bhee seetaa tai iyaanee |821|

Then there was heard this speech from heaven, “O Sita, why are you acting childlike.”821.
