ਸੈਦ ਹੁਸੈਨ ਕੋਪ ਕਰਿ ਗਰਜੋ ॥
said husain kop kar garajo |Syed Hussain roared with anger
ਜਾਫਰ ਸੈਦ ਰਹਾ ਨਹਿ ਬਰਜੋ ॥
jaafar said rahaa neh barajo |And even Jafar Syed could not stop.
ਲੋਹ ਪ੍ਰਜੰਤ ਬਾਨ ਤਨਿ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
loh prajant baan tan maare |Arrows hit iron (armour) in their bodies
ਭਏ ਲੀਨ ਨਹਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰੇ ॥੨੧੫॥
bhe leen neh bahur nihaare |215|Those who disappeared (in their bodies) did not appear again. 215.
ਬਹੁਰੋ ਅਮਿਤ ਕੋਪ ਕਹ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
bahuro amit kop kah kar kai |Then in great anger,
ਛਾਡੇ ਬਿਸਿਖ ਧਨੁਖ ਕੌ ਧਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
chhaadde bisikh dhanukh kau dhar kai |Mounted on the bow and shot the arrows.
ਛੂਟਤ ਭਏ ਸਲਭ ਕੀ ਜਿਮਿ ਸਰ ॥
chhoottat bhe salabh kee jim sar |Those arrows flew like moths
ਲੀਨ ਭਏ ਨਹਿ ਲਖੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਗਨ ਕਰਿ ॥੨੧੬॥
leen bhe neh lakhe drigan kar |216|And then such happiness that cannot be seen with the eyes. 216.
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਸੈਯਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ॥
eih bidh maar saiyadee sainaa |Thus the army of the Sayyid was killed
ਸੇਖ ਫੌਜ ਭਾਜੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਚੈਨਾ ॥
sekh fauaj bhaajee bin chainaa |And the Shaykhs' army fled in dismay.
ਮਹਾ ਕਾਲ ਜਬ ਭਜੇ ਨਿਹਾਰੇ ॥
mahaa kaal jab bhaje nihaare |When Maha Kal saw them fleeing,
ਬਿਸਿਖ ਕੋਪ ਨਹਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥੨੧੭॥
bisikh kop neh taeh prahaare |217|(Then) do not shoot arrows at them in anger. 217.
ਬਹੁਰੌ ਭਿਰੇ ਸੇਖ ਭਰਿ ਲਾਜਾ ॥
bahurau bhire sekh bhar laajaa |Sheikh Sainik started fighting again after being killed by the lodge
ਲੈ ਲੈ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਭ ਸਾਜਾ ॥
lai lai sasatr asatr sabh saajaa |And the astras got excited about the armors etc.
ਜਿਮਿ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਬਧ ਮ੍ਰਿਗਪਤਿ ਕੌ ਤਕਹੀ ॥
jim mrig badh mrigapat kau takahee |Like seeing a lion killing a deer
ਝਖਿ ਝਖਿ ਗਿਰਤ ਮਾਰਿ ਨਹਿ ਸਕਹੀ ॥੨੧੮॥
jhakh jhakh girat maar neh sakahee |218|He falls while looking and cannot kill. 218.
ਸੇਖ ਫਰੀਦ ਹਨਾ ਤਤਕਾਲਾ ॥
sekh fareed hanaa tatakaalaa |Sheikh Farid was killed immediately
ਸੇਖ ਉਜੈਨ ਹਨਾ ਬਿਕਰਾਲਾ ॥
sekh ujain hanaa bikaraalaa |And also eliminated the terrible Sheikh Ujjain.
ਸੇਖ ਅਮਾਨੁਲਹ ਪੁਨਿ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
sekh amaanulah pun maariyo |Then killed Sheikh Amanullah
ਸੇਖ ਵਲੀ ਕੋ ਸੈਨ ਸੰਘਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੧੯॥
sekh valee ko sain sanghaariyo |219|And destroyed the army of Sheikh Wali. 219.
ਤਿਲ ਤਿਲ ਪਾਇ ਸੁਭਟ ਕਹੂੰ ਕਰੇ ॥
til til paae subhatt kahoon kare |Somewhere, the heroes were shot and killed
ਚਰਮ ਬਰਮ ਰਨ ਮੋ ਕਹੂੰ ਝਰੇ ॥
charam baram ran mo kahoon jhare |And somewhere shields ('charm') and armor ('bram') scattered across the battlefield.
ਭਖਿ ਭਖਿ ਉਠੈ ਸੁਭਟ ਕਹੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੁਧਾ ॥
bhakh bhakh utthai subhatt kahoon krudhaa |There was such a tremendous war
ਦਾਰੁਣ ਮਚਿਯੋ ਐਸ ਤਹ ਜੁਧਾ ॥੨੨੦॥
daarun machiyo aais tah judhaa |220|That the braves used to be raised by anger. 220.
ਕਹੂੰ ਕਬੰਧ ਫਿਰਤ ਸਿਰ ਬਿਨਾ ॥
kahoon kabandh firat sir binaa |Somewhere there were torsos without heads
ਕਹੂੰ ਸੁਭਟ ਗਹਿ ਦਾਤਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਨਾ ॥
kahoon subhatt geh daatan trinaa |And somewhere the warriors were holding grass in their teeth.
ਰਛ ਰਛ ਕਹਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਪੁਕਾਰੈ ॥
rachh rachh keh taeh pukaarai |(i.e.-ein were believing). They shouted 'save, save'
ਮਹਾ ਕਾਲ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਮੈ ਸੰਘਾਰੈ ॥੨੨੧॥
mahaa kaal jin hamai sanghaarai |221|They were telling Maha Kal not to kill us. 221.
ਕਹੂੰ ਆਨਿ ਡਾਕਿਨਿ ਡਹਕਾਰੈ ॥
kahoon aan ddaakin ddahakaarai |Somewhere the postmen were coming and saying 'Dah Dah'
ਕਹੂੰ ਮਸਾਨ ਕਿਲਕਟੀ ਮਾਰੈ ॥
kahoon masaan kilakattee maarai |And somewhere 'masan' (ghosts) were screaming.
ਭੂਤ ਪਿਸਾਚ ਨਚੇ ਬੈਤਾਲਾ ॥
bhoot pisaach nache baitaalaa |Somewhere ghosts, vampires and batals were dancing
ਬਰਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਬੀਰਨ ਕਹ ਬਾਲਾ ॥੨੨੨॥
barat firat beeran kah baalaa |222|And calamities were raining on the warriors. 222.
ਏਕੈ ਅਛ ਏਕ ਹੀ ਬਾਹਾ ॥
ekai achh ek hee baahaa |(of a warrior) had one eye and one had only one arm.
ਏਕ ਚਰਨ ਅਰੁ ਅਰਧ ਸਨਾਹਾ ॥
ek charan ar aradh sanaahaa |One had one leg and half armor.
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੁਭਟ ਬਿਕਟ ਹਨਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
eih bidh subhatt bikatt han ddaare |Thus the fierce warriors smote,
ਪਵਨ ਬਲੀ ਜਨੁ ਰੂਖ ਉਖਾਰੇ ॥੨੨੩॥
pavan balee jan rookh ukhaare |223|As if a strong wind had uprooted the wings. 223.
ਜਿਹ ਅਰਿ ਕਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਬਹੀ ਸਿਰ ॥
jih ar kaal kripaan bahee sir |On the head of the enemy, the kirpan of the calamity rang,
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਰਹੀ ਨ ਜੀਵ ਕਰਾ ਫਿਰਿ ॥
tin ke rahee na jeev karaa fir |There was no more life-force ('Jivkara' life-art) in them.
ਜਾ ਕਹ ਕਾਲ ਖੜਗ ਛ੍ਵੈ ਗਯਾ ॥
jaa kah kaal kharrag chhvai gayaa |Who was touched by the sword of time,
ਅਰਧੈ ਅਰਧ ਛਿਨਿਕ ਮਹਿ ਭਯਾ ॥੨੨੪॥
aradhai aradh chhinik meh bhayaa |224|He became half in half. 224.
ਬਹੀ ਜਾਹਿ ਸਿਰ ਸਰਕਿ ਸਰੋਹੀ ॥
bahee jaeh sir sarak sarohee |On whose head a 'circling' sword struck
ਤਾ ਕਾ ਰਹਾ ਸੀਸੁ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਦੋਹੀ ॥
taa kaa rahaa sees hvai dohee |So his head was split in two.
ਜਾ ਕੌ ਬਾਨ ਕਾਲ ਕਾ ਲਾਗਾ ॥
jaa kau baan kaal kaa laagaa |Who was struck by the arrow of call,
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਬਾਨ ਲੈ ਭਾਗਾ ॥੨੨੫॥
taa ke praan baan lai bhaagaa |225|He took his life with an arrow and ran away. 225.
ਮਾਰੂ ਬਜਤ ਦੋਊ ਦਿਸਿ ਐਸੋ ॥
maaroo bajat doaoo dis aaiso |In both sides, the death knells were sounding like this
ਜਾਨੁਕ ਪ੍ਰਲੈ ਕਾਲ ਕੇ ਐਸੇ ॥
jaanuk pralai kaal ke aaise |May they be like those who play in the flood.
ਗੋਮੁਖ ਝਾਝਰ ਤੂਰ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
gomukh jhaajhar toor apaaraa |Gomukh, cymbals, trumpets,
ਢੋਲ ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਮੁਚੰਗ ਹਜਾਰਾ ॥੨੨੬॥
dtol mridang muchang hajaaraa |226|Dhol, Mridang, Muchang etc. were (sounding) in thousands. 226.
ਘੋਰ ਆਯੁਧਨ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਭਯੋ ॥
ghor aayudhan ih bidh bhayo |Such a fierce war ensued,
ਜਿਹ ਕੋ ਪਾਰ ਨ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਲਯੋ ॥
jih ko paar na kinahoon layo |Which no one could put an end to.
ਜੇਤਿਕ ਅਸੁਰ ਮਲੇਛੁਪਜਾਏ ॥
jetik asur malechhupajaae |As many Malechs (Mughals) as the Demons produced,
ਮਹਾ ਕਾਲ ਛਿਨ ਬੀਚ ਖਪਾਏ ॥੨੨੭॥
mahaa kaal chhin beech khapaae |227|The great age destroyed them. 227.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਅਸੁਰ ਕ੍ਰੁਧਤ ਅਤਿ ਭਯੋ ॥
bahur asur krudhat at bhayo |The giants again became very angry.
ਅਮਿਤ ਅਸੁਰ ਉਪਰਾਜਿ ਸੁ ਲਯੋ ॥
amit asur uparaaj su layo |They created more infinite giants.
ਧੂਲੀ ਕਰਨ ਬਿਦਿਤ ਕੇਸੀ ਭਨ ॥
dhoolee karan bidit kesee bhan |(Among them) Dhuly Karan, KC,
ਘੋਰ ਦਾੜ ਅਰੁ ਸ੍ਰੋਨਤ ਲੋਚਨ ॥੨੨੮॥
ghor daarr ar sronat lochan |228|Ghor Dhar and Sronat Lochan were said to be included. 228.
ਗਰਧਬ ਕੇਤੁ ਮਹਿਖ ਧੁਜ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
garadhab ket mahikh dhuj naamaa |Gardhab Ketu, sweet fragrance,
ਅਰੁਨ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਉਪਜਾ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮਾ ॥
arun netr upajaa sangraamaa |And a giant (named Arun Netra) was born in the war.
ਅਸਿਧੁਜ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਅਸੁਰ ਉਪਜੇ ਰਨ ॥
asidhuj nirakh asur upaje ran |Seeing them born in Rann
ਮਾਰਤ ਭਯੋ ਦਾਨਵਨ ਕੇ ਗਨ ॥੨੨੯॥
maarat bhayo daanavan ke gan |229|Maha Kaal ('Asidhuja') destroyed the giants. 229.
ਅਸਿਧੁਜ ਕੋਪ ਅਧਿਕ ਕਹ ਕਰਾ ॥
asidhuj kop adhik kah karaa |Asidhuja was very angry
ਸੈਨ ਦਾਨਵਨ ਕੋ ਰਨ ਹਰਾ ॥
sain daanavan ko ran haraa |And defeated (i.e. killed) the army of giants in battle.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਨ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥
bhaat bhaat tan sasatr prahaare |By killing each other's armor
ਤਿਲ ਤਿਲ ਪਾਇ ਸੁਭਟ ਕਟਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥੨੩੦॥
til til paae subhatt katt ddaare |230|He tore those warriors to pieces. 230.
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਹਨੀ ਸੈਨ ਅਸਿਧੁਜ ਜਬ ॥
eih bidh hanee sain asidhuj jab |When Asidhuj thus killed the (giant) army
ਕਾਪਤ ਭਯੋ ਅਸੁਰ ਜਿਯ ਮੋ ਤਬ ॥
kaapat bhayo asur jiy mo tab |Then the giants began to tremble in their minds.
ਅਮਿਤ ਅਸੁਰ ਰਨ ਔਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸੇ ॥
amit asur ran aauar prakaase |Countless giants appeared in Rann.
ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਕਹਤ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਾਸੇ ॥੨੩੧॥
tin ko kahat naam bin saase |231|(Now I) say their names breathlessly (i.e. say continuously). 231.
ਗੀਧ ਧੁਜਾ ਕਾਕ ਧੁਜ ਰਾਛਸ ॥
geedh dhujaa kaak dhuj raachhas |The vulture roars, the rooster roars
ਉਲੂ ਕੇਤੁ ਬੀਯੋ ਬਡ ਰਾਛਸ ॥
auloo ket beeyo badd raachhas |And another big giant named Ulu Ketu in Ran
ਅਸਿਧੁਜ ਕੇ ਰਨ ਸਮੁਹਿ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥
asidhuj ke ran samuhi sidhaae |Stand in front of Asidhuj
ਮਾਰਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਉਘਾਏ ॥੨੩੨॥
maar maar chahoon or ughaae |232|And the four sides started saying 'kill, kill'. 232.
