ਤਹਾ ਬੀਰ ਬੰਕੇ ਭਲੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
tahaa beer banke bhalee bhaat maare |There, Banke killed the warriors well.
ਬਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਸਿਧਾਰੇ ॥੧੦॥
bache praan lai ke sipaahee sidhaare |10|He slew several graceful warriors, with full force the soldiers who survived, fled away in order to save their lives.10.
ਤਹਾ ਸਾਹ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਕੀਨੇ ਅਖਾਰੇ ॥
tahaa saah sangraam keene akhaare |There, Sango Shah built an arena (to display the feats of war).
ਘਨੇ ਖੇਤ ਮੋ ਖਾਨ ਖੂਨੀ ਲਤਾਰੇ ॥
ghane khet mo khaan khoonee lataare |There (Sango) Shah exhibited his acts of bravery in the battlefield and trampled under feet many bloody Khans.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪੰ ਗੋਪਲਾਯੰ ਖਰੋ ਖੇਤ ਗਾਜੈ ॥
nripan gopalaayan kharo khet gaajai |(At that time Guleria) King Gopal was standing in the war-ground and roaring
ਮ੍ਰਿਗਾ ਝੁੰਡ ਮਧਿਯੰ ਮਨੋ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੇ ॥੧੧॥
mrigaa jhundd madhiyan mano singh raaje |11|Gopal, the king of Guleria, stood firmly in the field and roared like a lion amidst a herd of deers.11.
ਤਹਾ ਏਕ ਬੀਰੰ ਹਰੀ ਚੰਦ ਕੋਪ੍ਰਯੋ ॥
tahaa ek beeran haree chand koprayo |Then a warrior Hari Chand got angry
ਭਲੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੋ ਖੇਤ ਮੋ ਪਾਵ ਰੋਪ੍ਰਯੋ ॥
bhalee bhaat so khet mo paav roprayo |There in great fury, a warrior Hari Chand, very skillfully took position in the battlefield.
ਮਹਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੇ ਤੀਰ ਤੀਖੇ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥
mahaa krodh ke teer teekhe prahaare |(He) became very angry and shot sharp arrows
ਲਗੈ ਜੌਨਿ ਕੇ ਤਾਹਿ ਪਾਰੈ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥੧੨॥
lagai jauan ke taeh paarai padhaare |12|He discharged sharp arrows in great rage and whosoever was struck, left for the other world.12.
ਰਸਾਵਲ ਛੰਦ ॥
rasaaval chhand |RASAAVAL STANZA
ਹਰੀ ਚੰਦ ਕ੍ਰੁਧੰ ॥
haree chand krudhan |Hari Chand got angry
ਹਨੇ ਸੂਰ ਸੁਧੰ ॥
hane soor sudhan |Hari Chand (Handooria) in great fury, killed significant heroes.
ਭਲੇ ਬਾਣ ਬਾਹੇ ॥
bhale baan baahe |He made a good harvest of arrows
ਬਡੇ ਸੈਨ ਗਾਹੇ ॥੧੩॥
badde sain gaahe |13|He shot skillfully a volley of arrows and killed a lot of forces.13.
ਰਸੰ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਰਾਚੇ ॥
rasan rudr raache |(He) was (completely) engrossed in Rauda Rasa,
ਮਹਾ ਲੋਹ ਮਾਚੇ ॥
mahaa loh maache |He was absorbed in dreadful feat of arms.
ਹਨੇ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
hane sasatr dhaaree |(He) slew the armor-bearers
ਲਿਟੇ ਭੂਪ ਭਾਰੀ ॥੧੪॥
litte bhoop bhaaree |14|Armed warriors were being killed and great kings were falling on the ground.14.
ਤਬੈ ਜੀਤ ਮਲੰ ॥
tabai jeet malan |Then (our hero) Jeet Mall
ਹਰੀ ਚੰਦ ਭਲੰ ॥
haree chand bhalan |Hari Chand taking the ball
ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਐਂਚ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
hridai aainch maariyo |Struck in the heart
ਸੁ ਖੇਤੰ ਉਤਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੫॥
su khetan utaariyo |15|Then Jit Mal aimed and struck Hari Chand down to the ground with his spear.15.
ਲਗੇ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਣੰ ॥
lage beer baanan |Hero-warriors get arrows
ਰਿਸਿਯੋ ਤੇਜਿ ਮਾਣੰ ॥
risiyo tej maanan |The warriors struck with arrows became red with blood.
ਸਮੂਹ ਬਾਜ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
samooh baaj ddaare |They all except the horses
ਸੁਵਰਗੰ ਸਿਧਾਰੇ ॥੧੬॥
suvaragan sidhaare |16|Their horses feel and they left for heavens.16.
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujang prayaat chhand |BHUJANG PRAYAAAT STANZA
ਖੁਲੈ ਖਾਨ ਖੂਨੀ ਖੁਰਾਸਾਨ ਖਗੰ ॥
khulai khaan khoonee khuraasaan khagan |The bloodthirsty Pathans took the bare swords (were sharpened) of Khurasan.
ਪਰੀ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰੰ ਉਠੀ ਝਾਲ ਅਗੰ ॥
paree sasatr dhaaran utthee jhaal agan |In the hands of blood-thirsty Khans, there were the Khorasan swords, whose sharp edges flashed like fire.
ਭਈ ਤੀਰ ਭੀਰੰ ਕਮਾਣੰ ਕੜਕੇ ॥
bhee teer bheeran kamaanan karrake |There was a crowd of arrows (in the sky) and the bows began to quiver.
ਗਿਰੇ ਬਾਜ ਤਾਜੀ ਲਗੇ ਧੀਰ ਧਕੇ ॥੧੭॥
gire baaj taajee lage dheer dhake |17|The bows shooing out volleys of arrows twanged, the splendid horses fell because of the heavy blows.17.
ਬਜੀ ਭੇਰ ਭੁੰਕਾਰ ਧੁਕੇ ਨਗਾਰੇ ॥
bajee bher bhunkaar dhuke nagaare |The bells were humming and the bells were blowing.
ਦੁਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਤੇ ਬੀਰ ਬੰਕੇ ਬਕਾਰੇ ॥
duhoon or te beer banke bakaare |The trumpets sounded and the musical pipes were played, the brave warriors thundered from both sides.
ਕਰੇ ਬਾਹੁ ਆਘਾਤ ਸਸਤ੍ਰੰ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੰ ॥
kare baahu aaghaat sasatran prahaaran |They used to stretch out their arms and hit them with weapons
ਡਕੀ ਡਾਕਣੀ ਚਾਵਡੀ ਚੀਤਕਾਰੰ ॥੧੮॥
ddakee ddaakanee chaavaddee cheetakaaran |18|And with their strong arms struck (the enemy), the witches drank blood to their fill and produced dreadful sounds.18.

ਕਹਾ ਲਗੇ ਬਰਨਨ ਕਰੌ ਮਚਿਯੋ ਜੁਧੁ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
kahaa lage baranan karau machiyo judh apaar |How far should I describe the great battle?
ਜੇ ਲੁਝੇ ਜੁਝੇ ਸਬੈ ਭਜੇ ਸੂਰ ਹਜਾਰ ॥੧੯॥
je lujhe jujhe sabai bhaje soor hajaar |19|Those fought attained martyrdom, thousand fled away. 19.
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujang prayaat chhand |BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA
ਭਜਿਯੋ ਸਾਹ ਪਾਹਾੜ ਤਾਜੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਾਯੰ ॥
bhajiyo saah paahaarr taajee tripaayan |(Finally) the hill king (Fatih Shah) killed the horse and ran away.
ਚਲਿਯੋ ਬੀਰੀਯਾ ਤੀਰੀਯਾ ਨ ਚਲਾਯੰ ॥
chaliyo beereeyaa teereeyaa na chalaayan |The hill-chief spurred his horse and fled, the warriors went away without discharging their arrows.
ਜਸੋ ਡਢਵਾਲੰ ਮਧੁਕਰ ਸੁ ਸਾਹੰ ॥
jaso ddadtavaalan madhukar su saahan |(After him) Jaso Walia and Dadwalia Madhukar Shah (could not stand for the war and)
ਭਜੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਲੈ ਕੈ ਸੁ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਿਪਾਹੰ ॥੨੦॥
bhaje sang lai kai su saaree sipaahan |20|The chiefs of Jaswal and Dadhwal, who were fighting (in the field), left with all their soldiers.20.
ਚਕ੍ਰਤ ਚੌਪਿਯੋ ਚੰਦ ਗਾਜੀ ਚੰਦੇਲੰ ॥
chakrat chauapiyo chand gaajee chandelan |Amazed (by this situation), the warrior Chandelia (the king) became excited.
ਹਠੀ ਹਰੀ ਚੰਦੰ ਗਹੇ ਹਾਥ ਸੇਲੰ ॥
hatthee haree chandan gahe haath selan |The Raja of Chandel was perplexed, when the tenacious Hari Chand caught hold of the spear in his hand.
ਕਰਿਯੋ ਸੁਆਮ ਧਰਮ ਮਹਾ ਰੋਸ ਰੁਝਿਯੰ ॥
kariyo suaam dharam mahaa ros rujhiyan |He was filled with great fury, fulfilling his duty as a general
ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਟੂਕ ਟੂਕ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਇਸੋ ਸੂਰ ਜੁਝਿਯੰ ॥੨੧॥
giriyo ttook ttook hvai iso soor jujhiyan |21|Those who came in front of him, were cut into pieces nad fell (in the field).21.
