ਕਛੁ ਭੋਜਨ ਖੈਬੇ ਕਹ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
kachh bhojan khaibe kah deenaa |And gave some food to eat.
ਅਬ ਸੋ ਕਰੋ ਤੁਮ ਜੁ ਮੁਹਿ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
ab so karo tum ju muhi uchaaro |Now I will do what you tell me.
ਜਿਯਤ ਤਜੋ ਕੈ ਜਿਯ ਤੇ ਮਾਰੋ ॥੧੫॥
jiyat tajo kai jiy te maaro |15|Let (him) live or kill him. 15.
ਜੋ ਚਲਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਦੁਸਮਨ ਹੂ ਆਵੈ ॥
jo chal grih dusaman hoo aavai |If the enemy also moves in the house
ਜੋ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਕੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਘਾਵੈ ॥
jo taa ko greh kai nrip ghaavai |And the king who seizes him and kills him.
ਨਰਕ ਬਿਖੈ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਜਮ ਡਾਰੈ ॥
narak bikhai taa kau jam ddaarai |Yamraj will throw him in the hells
ਭਲਾ ਨ ਤਾ ਕਹ ਜਗਤ ਉਚਾਰੈ ॥੧੬॥
bhalaa na taa kah jagat uchaarai |16|And the world will not call him good. 16.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਜੋ ਆਵੈ ਨਿਜੁ ਧਾਮ ਚਲਿ ਧਰਮ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਨਿ ॥
jo aavai nij dhaam chal dharam bhraat tih jaan |He who goes to his house should be considered a brother of religion.
ਜੋ ਕਛੁ ਕਹੈ ਸੁ ਕੀਜਿਯੈ ਭੂਲਿ ਨ ਕਰਿਯੈ ਹਾਨਿ ॥੧੭॥
jo kachh kahai su keejiyai bhool na kariyai haan |17|Whatever he says, one should do the same and should not harm him even by forgetting. 17.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਤਬ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥
tab nrip taa kau bol patthaayo |Then the king called him
ਨਿਕਟਿ ਆਪਨੇ ਤਿਹ ਬੈਠਾਯੋ ॥
nikatt aapane tih baitthaayo |and seated him beside him.
ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਵਹੈ ਤਵਨ ਕਹ ਦੀਨੀ ॥
duhitaa vahai tavan kah deenee |He gave the same daughter
ਜਾ ਸੌ ਰਤਿ ਆਗੇ ਜਿਨ ਕੀਨੀ ॥੧੮॥
jaa sau rat aage jin keenee |18|With whom he had already played that game. 18.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਲੈ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਦਈ ਚਿਤ ਮੌ ਭਯੋ ਅਸੋਗ ॥
lai duhitaa taa kau dee chit mau bhayo asog |He caught the daughter and handed her over and was happy in his heart
ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕੋ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਲਹਾ ਗੂੜ ਅਗੂੜ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗ ॥੧੯॥
duhitaa ko kachh na lahaa goorr agoorr prayog |19|But nothing could understand the dark character of sonship. 19.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਮਨ ਭਾਵਤ ਪਾਵਤ ਪਤਿ ਭਈ ॥
man bhaavat paavat pat bhee |She got the husband she wanted
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਸੋ ਪਿਤੁ ਕਹ ਛਲਿ ਗਈ ॥
eih chhal so pit kah chhal gee |And with this trick tricked the father.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
bhed abhed kinahoon neh paayo |(The king) did not understand anything that was inconspicuous
ਲੈ ਨਾਗਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਧਾਮ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥੨੦॥
lai naagar triy dhaam sidhaayo |20|And Nagar took his wife and went to (his) house. 20.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਬਾਵਨੋ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੫੨॥੪੭੪੨॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau baavano charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |252|4742|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 252nd chapter of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 252.4742. goes on

ਛਤ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਇਕ ਰਹੈ ॥
chhatraanee isataree ik rahai |There lived a concubine woman,
ਜੀਯੋ ਨਾਮ ਤਾਹਿ ਜਗ ਕਹੈ ॥
jeeyo naam taeh jag kahai |Which people used to call Jiyo (Mati).
ਮਾਨਿਕ ਚੰਦ ਤਵਨ ਕਹ ਬਰਾ ॥
maanik chand tavan kah baraa |Manik Chand married her
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਭੋਗਨ ਭਰਾ ॥੧॥
bhaat bhaat ke bhogan bharaa |1|And he enjoyed (joy) by indulging in various things. 1.
ਵਹ ਜੜ ਏਕ ਜਾਟਨੀ ਸੌ ਰਤਿ ॥
vah jarr ek jaattanee sau rat |That fool was stuck with a trap
ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਨਤ ਮੂੜ ਮਹਾ ਮਤਿ ॥
kachhoo na jaanat moorr mahaa mat |And that great fool knew nothing.
ਲੰਬੋਦਰੁ ਪਸੁ ਕੋ ਅਵਤਾਰਾ ॥
lanbodar pas ko avataaraa |He was an incarnation of lambodar pashu (a long-bellied animal, meaning a donkey).
ਗਰਧਭ ਜੋਨਿ ਡਰਾ ਕਰਤਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
garadhabh jon ddaraa karataaraa |2|And God found him in the donkey's womb. 2.
ਲੋਗਨ ਤੇ ਅਤਿ ਤਵਨ ਲਜਾਵੈ ॥
logan te at tavan lajaavai |He was very shy of people,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਧਾਮ ਨ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਲ੍ਯਾਵੈ ॥
taa te dhaam na taa kau layaavai |So he did not bring her home.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਔਰ ਗਾਵ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਰਾਖੀ ॥
taa te aauar gaav triy raakhee |That is why (she) was a woman in another village.
ਸਸਿ ਸੂਰਜ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਸਾਖੀ ॥੩॥
sas sooraj taa ke sabh saakhee |3|The sun and the moon were all its witnesses. 3.
ਬਾਜ ਅਰੂੜਿ ਤਹਾ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
baaj aroorr tahaa hvai jaavai |He used to go there by riding a horse
ਕਾਹੂ ਕੀ ਲਾਜੈ ਨ ਲਜਾਵੈ ॥
kaahoo kee laajai na lajaavai |And from whose lodge he was not shy.
ਜੀਯੋ ਜਿਯ ਭੀਤਰ ਅਤਿ ਜਰੈ ॥
jeeyo jiy bheetar at jarai |(His wife) Jiyo used to burn a lot in the heart
ਬਾਢੀ ਏਕ ਸਾਥ ਰਤਿ ਕਰੈ ॥੪॥
baadtee ek saath rat karai |4|And used to play with a carpenter. 4.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਜਬ ਵਹੁ ਅਸ੍ਵ ਅਰੂੜ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਾਵ ਤਵਨ ਮੋ ਜਾਤ ॥
jab vahu asv aroorr hvai gaav tavan mo jaat |When he would go to his village on a horse
ਜੀਯੋ ਮਤੀ ਤਿਹ ਬਾਢੀਅਹਿ ਅਪਨੇ ਧਾਮ ਬੁਲਾਤ ॥੫॥
jeeyo matee tih baadteeeh apane dhaam bulaat |5|Then Jiyo Mati would invite that carpenter to her house. 5.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਤਿਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਹੋਡ ਨਨਦ ਸੌ ਪਾਰੀ ॥
tih triy hodd nanad sau paaree |That woman made a bet with Nanan.
ਬਿਹਸਿਤ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿਨ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥
bihasit ih bhaatin uchaaree |He started saying this while laughing.
ਸੁ ਮੈ ਕਹਤ ਹੌ ਤੀਰ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ॥
su mai kahat hau teer tihaare |I tell you,
