ਰੂਪਮਾਨ ਜਨੁ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਦਿਵਾਕਰ ॥
roopamaan jan dutiy divaakar |(He was very) formous, as if a second sun.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਜਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਨਹਿ ਕਹੀ ॥
taa kee jaat prabhaa neh kahee |Her beauty cannot be described.
ਜਾਨੁਕ ਫੂਲਿ ਚੰਬੇਲੀ ਰਹੀ ॥੨॥
jaanuk fool chanbelee rahee |2|(It looked like this) as if it were a flower of chambeli. 2.
ਰੂਪ ਤਵਨ ਕੋ ਦਿਪਤ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
roop tavan ko dipat apaaraa |In front of the immense brightness of his form
ਤਿਹ ਆਗੇ ਕ੍ਯਾ ਸੂਰ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
tih aage kayaa soor bichaaraa |What was Surya Vikara?
ਸੋਭਾ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਹਮ ਤੇ ਜਾਈ ॥
sobhaa kahee na ham te jaaee |(His) glory is not said to us.
ਸਕਲ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਲਖਿ ਰਹਤ ਬਿਕਾਈ ॥੩॥
sakal triyaa lakh rahat bikaaee |3|All the women are sold after seeing him. 3.
ਰਾਨੀ ਦਰਸ ਤਵਨ ਕੋ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
raanee daras tavan ko paayo |When the queen saw him,
ਪਠੈ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਧਾਮ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
patthai sahacharee dhaam bulaayo |So he sent the maid and called him home.
ਕਾਮ ਕੇਲ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਹਸਿ ਮਾਨੀ ॥
kaam kel taa sau has maanee |Played with him laughingly
ਰਮਤ ਰਮਤ ਸਭ ਨਿਸਾ ਬਿਹਾਨੀ ॥੪॥
ramat ramat sabh nisaa bihaanee |4|And the whole night passed while enjoying. 4.
ਜੈਸੇ ਹੁਤੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕੇ ਰੂਪਾ ॥
jaise huto nripat ke roopaa |As was the form of the king,
ਤੈਸੋ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਹੁਤੋ ਸਰੂਪਾ ॥
taiso taa ko huto saroopaa |His appearance was the same.
ਜਾ ਸੌ ਅਟਕ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਈ ॥
jaa sau attak kuar kee bhee |When the queen fell in love with him,
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਗਈ ॥੫॥
nrip kee baat bisar kar gee |5|So he forgot about the king. 5.
ਤਾ ਸੌ ਹਿਤ ਰਾਨੀ ਕੋ ਭਯੋ ॥
taa sau hit raanee ko bhayo |Rani fell in love with him
ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਥ ਹੇਤੁ ਤਜਿ ਦਯੋ ॥
raajaa saath het taj dayo |and ceased to be interested in the king.
ਮਦਰਾ ਅਧਿਕ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕਹ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਯੋ ॥
madaraa adhik nripat kah prayaayo |(He) made the king drink a lot of wine
ਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਜਾਰ ਬੈਠਾਯੋ ॥੬॥
raaj singhaasan jaar baitthaayo |6|And put the friend on the throne. 6.
ਮਤ ਭਏ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੋ ਧਨ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
mat bhe nrip so dhan paayo |Took away the money from the unconscious king
ਬਾਧਿ ਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੇ ਧਾਮ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥
baadh mrit ke dhaam patthaayo |And sent (him) bound to a friend's house.
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਾ ॥
taa ko prajaa nripat kar maanaa |He (servant) was accepted as a king by the people
ਰਾਜਾ ਕਹ ਚਾਕਰ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਾ ॥੭॥
raajaa kah chaakar pahichaanaa |7|And considered the king as a servant.7.
ਦੁਹੂੰਅਨ ਕੀ ਏਕੈ ਅਨੁਹਾਰਾ ॥
duhoonan kee ekai anuhaaraa |Both had the same look.
ਰਾਵ ਰੰਕ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਤ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
raav rank neh jaat bichaaraa |(Both) king and servant (no distinction) could be considered.
ਤਾ ਕੌ ਲੋਗ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
taa kau log nripat kar maanai |People considered him as a king
ਲਜਤ ਬਚਨ ਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਬਖਾਨੈ ॥੮॥
lajat bachan na nripat bakhaanai |8|And the slain king of Laja did not speak anything.8.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਰੰਕ ਰਾਜ ਐਸੇ ਕਰਾ ਦਿਯਾ ਰੰਕ ਕੌ ਰਾਜ ॥
rank raaj aaise karaa diyaa rank kau raaj |Thus made Rank the King and gave the Rank to the Kingdom.
ਹ੍ਵੈ ਅਤੀਤ ਪਤਿ ਬਨ ਗਯੋ ਤਜਿ ਗਯੋ ਸਕਲ ਸਮਾਜ ॥੯॥
hvai ateet pat ban gayo taj gayo sakal samaaj |9|The husband (king) left all the state-society and became a saint and went to Ban. 9.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਚੌਰਾਸੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੮੪॥੫੪੧੨॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau chauaraasee charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |284|5412|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 284th character of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 284.5412. goes on
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujang prayaat chhand |Bhujang Prayat Verse:
ਹੁਤੋ ਏਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਸੈਨ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
huto ek raajaa prajaa sain naamaa |There was a king named Praja Sen.
ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਪਾਲਨੀ ਧਾਮ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਸੁ ਬਾਮਾ ॥
prajaa paalanee dhaam taa ke su baamaa |In his house there was a woman named Praja Palni.
ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਲੋਗ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸਭੈ ਆਨਿ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
prajaa log jaa kee sabhai aan maanai |All the people of the people believed in his submission
ਤਿਸੈ ਦੂਸਰੋ ਜਾਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨੈ ॥੧॥
tisai doosaro jaan raajaa pramaanai |1|And they considered him as the second king. 1.
ਸੁਧਾ ਸੈਨ ਨਾਮਾ ਰਹੈ ਭ੍ਰਿਤ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥
sudhaa sain naamaa rahai bhrit taa ke |He had a servant named Sudha Sen.
ਰਹੈ ਰੀਝਿ ਬਾਲਾ ਲਖੈ ਨੈਨ ਵਾ ਕੇ ॥
rahai reejh baalaa lakhai nain vaa ke |Seeing his beauty, the queen was fascinated.
ਨ ਹ੍ਵੈਹੈ ਨ ਹੈ ਨ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥
n hvaihai na hai na bidhaataa banaayo |(Like him) there is none, nor is there, nor has the creator created.
ਨਰੀ ਨਾਗਨੀ ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬੀ ਕੋ ਨ ਜਾਯੋ ॥੨॥
naree naaganee gandhrabee ko na jaayo |2|No Nari, Nagni or Gandharbi has produced (a person of this type). 2.

ਬਨਿਕ ਏਕ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਰਹਤ ਤਹ ॥
banik ek dhanavaan rahat tah |Where Praja San Raja ruled,
ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਸੈਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਤ ਜਹ ॥
prajaa sain nrip raaj karat jah |A rich man lived there.
ਸੁਮਤਿ ਮਤੀ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਇਕ ਕੰਨ੍ਯਾ ॥
sumat matee taa kee ik kanayaa |He had a daughter named Sumati Mati
ਧਰਨੀ ਤਲ ਕੇ ਭੀਤਰ ਧੰਨ੍ਰਯਾ ॥੩॥
dharanee tal ke bheetar dhanrayaa |3|Who was blessed on earth. 3.
ਸੁਧਾ ਸੈਨ ਤਿਨ ਜਬੈ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
sudhaa sain tin jabai nihaaraa |When he saw Sudha Sen
ਹਰਿ ਅਰਿ ਸਰ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਤਨ ਮਾਰਾ ॥
har ar sar taa ke tan maaraa |Then Kam Dev shot an arrow in his body.
ਪਠੌ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਤਾਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
patthau sahacharee taeh bulaayo |(He) sent for the maidservant and called her.
ਸੋ ਨਰ ਧਾਮ ਨ ਵਾ ਕੇ ਆਯੋ ॥੪॥
so nar dhaam na vaa ke aayo |4|But that man did not come to her house. 4.
ਨਾਹਿ ਨਾਹਿ ਜਿਮਿ ਜਿਮਿ ਵਹ ਕਹੈ ॥
naeh naeh jim jim vah kahai |As he kept saying no,
ਤਿਮਿ ਤਿਮਿ ਹਠਿ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਕਰ ਗਹੈ ॥
tim tim hatth isatree kar gahai |Gradually, the woman's stubbornness grew more and more.
ਅਧਿਕ ਦੂਤਕਾ ਤਹਾ ਪਠਾਵੈ ॥
adhik dootakaa tahaa patthaavai |(He) sent many maidservants to him,
ਕ੍ਯੋਹੂੰ ਧਾਮ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਹਿ ਆਵੈ ॥੫॥
kayohoon dhaam mitr neh aavai |5|But somehow (that) Mitra did not come to his house.5.
ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਧਾਮਾ ॥
jayon jayon mitr na aavai dhaamaa |As that friend was not coming home,
ਤ੍ਯੋਂ ਤ੍ਯੋਂ ਅਤਿ ਬ੍ਯਾਕੁਲ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਬਾਮਾ ॥
tayon tayon at bayaakul hvai baamaa |That lady was getting very worried.
ਬਹੁ ਦੂਤਿਨ ਤੇ ਧਾਮ ਲੁਟਾਵੈ ॥
bahu dootin te dhaam luttaavai |(She) was robbing many houses (meaning money) from the maids
ਪਲ ਪਲ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਤਿਹ ਧਾਮ ਪਠਾਵੈ ॥੬॥
pal pal prat tih dhaam patthaavai |6|And from time to time Pratipal used to send (maids) to her house. 6.
ਸਾਹ ਸੁਤਾ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਰਿ ਹਾਰੀ ॥
saah sutaa bahu bidh kar haaree |Shah's daughter lost after much effort,
ਸੁਧਾ ਸੈਨ ਸੌ ਭਈ ਨ ਯਾਰੀ ॥
sudhaa sain sau bhee na yaaree |But he could not be friends with Sudha Sen.
ਤਬ ਅਬਲਾ ਇਹ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਪਕਾਯੋ ॥
tab abalaa ih mantr pakaayo |Then (he) Abla thought this
ਇਕ ਦੂਤੀ ਕਹ ਤਹਾ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥੭॥
eik dootee kah tahaa patthaayo |7|And sent a messenger to him.7.
ਚਲੀ ਚਲੀ ਸਹਚਰਿ ਤਹ ਗਈ ॥
chalee chalee sahachar tah gee |That maid went there walking
ਜਿਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਸੁਧਿ ਮਿਤਵਾ ਕੀ ਭਈ ॥
jih grih sudh mitavaa kee bhee |The house where that friend was found to be.
ਪਕਰਿ ਭੁਜਾ ਤੇ ਸੋਤ ਜਗਾਯੋ ॥
pakar bhujaa te sot jagaayo |He raised the sleeping one by the arm
ਚਲਹੁ ਅਬੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥੮॥
chalahu abai nrip triyeh bulaayo |8|(And said) Come, the king's wife (queen) has called you.8.
ਮੂਰਖ ਕਛੂ ਬਾਤ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
moorakh kachhoo baat neh paaee |The fool did not understand anything.
ਸਹਚਰਿ ਤਹਾ ਸੰਗ ਕਰਿ ਲ੍ਯਾਈ ॥
sahachar tahaa sang kar layaaee |The maid brought him along.
ਬੈਠੀ ਸੁਤਾ ਸਾਹੁ ਕੀ ਜਹਾ ॥
baitthee sutaa saahu kee jahaa |Where the Shah's daughter was sitting,
ਲੈ ਆਈ ਮਿਤਵਾ ਕਹ ਤਹਾ ॥੯॥
lai aaee mitavaa kah tahaa |9|She brought her friend there. 9.
ਵਹਿ ਮੂਰਖ ਐਸੇ ਜਿਯ ਜਾਨਾ ॥
veh moorakh aaise jiy jaanaa |That fool thought like this in his mind
ਸਾਹੁ ਸੁਤਾ ਕੋ ਛਲ ਨ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥
saahu sutaa ko chhal na pachhaanaa |And did not understand the deception of the Shah's daughter.
ਰਾਨੀ ਅਟਕਿ ਸੁ ਮੁਹਿ ਪਰ ਗਈ ॥
raanee attak su muhi par gee |(He thought that) the queen has fallen in love with me,
