ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਓ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਗਏ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਜੀਅ ਐਸੋ ਹੀ ਭਾਯੋ ॥
aaise kahio brij kau tum tiaag ge mathuraa jeea aaiso hee bhaayo |Came here, it seems that Matura is more dear to you
ਕਾ ਭਯੋ ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਮਾਰਿ ਚੰਡੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਹਿ ਕੰਸਹਿ ਘਾਯੋ ॥
kaa bhayo jo tum maar chanddoor prahaar kai sangeh kanseh ghaayo |What then if you killed Chandur and knocked down and killed Kansa by catching him from his hair
ਹਉ ਨਿਰਮੋਹ ਨਿਹਾਰ ਦਸਾ ਹਮਰੀ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਮਨ ਮੋਹ ਨ ਆਯੋ ॥੨੪੧੭॥
hau niramoh nihaar dasaa hamaree tumare man moh na aayo |2417|O unkind one! did you not feel even a little of affection on seeing our condition?”2417.
ਜਸੋਧਾ ਬਾਚ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਜੂ ਸੋ ॥
jasodhaa baach kaanrah joo so |Yashoda speech to Krshna
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਢਾਇ ਜਸੋਮਤਿ ਯੌ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਭੂਖਨ ਸੋ ਇਕ ਬੈਨ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
preet badtaae jasomat yau brijabhookhan so ik bain uchaaro |Out of love, Jasodha spoke a word to Krishna like this,
ਪਾਲ ਕੀਏ ਜਬ ਪੂਤ ਬਡੇ ਤੁਮ ਦੇਖਿਯੋ ਤਬੈ ਹਮ ਹੇਤ ਤੁਹਾਰੋ ॥
paal kee jab poot badde tum dekhiyo tabai ham het tuhaaro |Then Yashoda said affectionately to Krishna, “O son! I have brought you up, and you witnessed it your self that how much affection have you for me.
ਤੋ ਕਹ ਦੋਸ ਲਗਾਉ ਹਉ ਕਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਫੁਨਿ ਦੋਸ ਹਮਾਰੋ ॥
to kah dos lagaau hau kiau har hai sabh fun dos hamaaro |“But you are not at fault, all fault is mine, it appears that on tying you with the mortar,
ਊਖਲ ਸੋ ਤੁਹਿ ਬਾਧ ਕੈ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ਹੈ ਜਾਨਤ ਹੋ ਸੋਊ ਬੈਰ ਚਿਤਾਰੋ ॥੨੪੧੮॥
aookhal so tuhi baadh kai maariyo hai jaanat ho soaoo bair chitaaro |2418|Once I beat you, remembering that affliction, you are taking this revenge.2418.
ਮਾਇ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਬਾਤ ਕਹੋ ਤੁਮ ਸੌ ਸੁ ਤੋ ਮੋ ਬਤੀਆ ਸੁਨਿ ਸਾਚ ਪਤੀਜੈ ॥
maae hvai baat kaho tum sau su to mo bateea sun saach pateejai |“O mother! whatever I am saying unto you, consider it as true and
ਅਉਰਨ ਕੀ ਸਿਖ ਲੈ ਤਬ ਜਿਉ ਤੈਸੋ ਕਾਜ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਨਿ ਯੌ ਸੁਨਿ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
aauran kee sikh lai tab jiau taiso kaaj karo jin yau sun leejai |Do not conclude anything on being told anything by someone else
ਨੈਕ ਬਿਛੋਹ ਭਏ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਮਰੀਐ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਪਲ ਹੇਰਤ ਜੀਜੈ ॥
naik bichhoh bhe tumare mareeai tumare pal herat jeejai |“I feel the condition of death on being separated from you, and I can keep alive only on seeing you
ਬਾਲ ਬਲਾਇ ਲਿਉ ਹਉ ਬਹੁਰੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਕੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਭੂਖਨ ਭੂਖਿਤ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੨੪੧੯॥
baal balaae liau hau bahuro brij ko brijabhookhan bhookhit keejai |2419|O mother! during my childhood, you took all my sufferings on yourself, now give me the honour of making me the ornament of Braja again.”2419.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |DOHRA
ਨੰਦ ਜਸੋਦਹਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਮਿਲਿ ਅਤਿ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ॥
nand jasodeh krisan mil at chit mai sukh paae |Nanda and Jasodha found great happiness in Chit by meeting Krishna.
ਸਭੈ ਗੋਪਿਕਾ ਜਹਿ ਹੁਤੀ ਤਹ ਹੀ ਪਹੁਚੇ ਜਾਇ ॥੨੪੨੦॥
sabhai gopikaa jeh hutee tah hee pahuche jaae |2420|Nand, Yashoda and Krihsna, getting extreme happiness in their minds, reached at the place, where all the gopis were standing.2420.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਹ ਕੋ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਲਖਿ ਕੈ ਤਿਹ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਆਗਮ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
sree brijanaathah ko jab hee lakh kai tih gvaaran aagam paayo |When those gopis came to know that Sri Krishna had come to the camp there.
ਆਗੇ ਹੀ ਏਕ ਚਲੀ ਉਠ ਕੈ ਨਹਿ ਏਕਨ ਕੇ ਉਰਿ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਯੋ ॥
aage hee ek chalee utth kai neh ekan ke ur aanand maayo |When the gopis saw Krishna coming and one of them got up and went forward and the delight welled up in the minds of many
ਭੇਖ ਮਲੀਨ ਜੇ ਗੁਆਰਿ ਹੁਤੀ ਤਿਨ ਭੇਖ ਨਵੀਨ ਸਜੇ ਕਬਿ ਗਾਯੋ ॥
bhekh maleen je guaar hutee tin bhekh naveen saje kab gaayo |The poets say, the gopis who used to walk around in dirty clothes, have adopted new clothes.
ਮਾਨਹੁ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਜਾਗ ਉਠਿਯੋ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਤਨ ਮੈ ਬਹੁਰੋ ਜੀਅ ਆਯੋ ॥੨੪੨੧॥
maanahu mritak jaag utthiyo tin ke tan mai bahuro jeea aayo |2421|The newness came on the gopis wearing unclean garbs as if some dead one had risen again and had got another lease of life.2421.
ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਿ ਬਾਚ ॥

ਯੌ ਇਕ ਭਾਖਤ ਹੈ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਚਿਤੈ ਕੈ ॥
yau ik bhaakhat hai mukh te mil gvaarin sree brijanaath chitai kai |The gopis together saw Sri Krishna and one of them spoke thus,
ਜਿਉ ਅਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਗਏ ਚੜਿ ਸ੍ਯੰਦਨ ਨਾਥ ਹੁਲਾਸ ਬਢੈ ਕੈ ॥
jiau akraoor ke sang ge charr sayandan naath hulaas badtai kai |One of the gopis said on seeing Krishna, “Since the time, when Krishna delightfully went with Akrur, mounting on his chariot,
ਦੂਰ ਹੁਲਾਸ ਕੀਯੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਤੇ ਕਛੁ ਗੁਆਰਿਨ ਕੀ ਕਰੁਨਾ ਨਹਿ ਕੈ ਕੈ ॥
door hulaas keeyo brij te kachh guaarin kee karunaa neh kai kai |From that time he has relinquished his kindness towards the gopis and
ਏਕ ਕਹੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸਖੀ ਮੁਖ ਜੋਵਤ ਏਕ ਰਹੀ ਚੁਪ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਕੈ ॥੨੪੨੨॥
ek kahai ih bhaat sakhee mukh jovat ek rahee chup hvai kai |2422|Thus finished the pleasure of Braja ,someone is talking like this and someone is standing silently.2422.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਗਯੋ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਕਛੁ ਚਿਤ ਬਿਖੈ ਸਖੀ ਹੇਤ ਨ ਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
sree brijanaath gayo mathuraa kachh chit bikhai sakhee het na dhaariyo |“O friend! Krishna has gone to Matura, he has never thought about us with love
ਨੈਕ ਨ ਮੋਹ ਕੀਯੋ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਨਿਰਮੋਹ ਹੀ ਆਪਨ ਚਿਤ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
naik na moh keeyo chit mai niramoh hee aapan chit bichaariyo |He had not even the slightest attachment for us and he became unkind in his mind
ਯੌ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿ ਤਜੀ ਜਸੁ ਤਾ ਛਬਿ ਕੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
yau brij naaeik gvaar tajee jas taa chhab ko kab sayaam uchaariyo |The poet Shyam likened the scene to Sri Krishna dismissing the gopis thus,
ਆਪੁਨੀ ਚਉਪਹਿ ਤੇ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਮਾਨੋ ਕੁੰਜਹਿ ਤਿਆਗ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਸਿਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੪੨੩॥
aapunee chaupeh te apunee maano kunjeh tiaag bhujang sidhaariyo |2423|Krishna has forsaken the gopis like the snake going away leaving behind his slough.”2423.
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਭਗਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨੁ ਸੁਤਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਕਉ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੁਨਾਈ ॥
chandrabhagaa brikhabhaan sutaa brij naaeik kau ih bhaat sunaaee |Chandrabhaga and Radha told Krishna thus.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਗਏ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਤਜਿ ਕੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਭੈ ਬਿਸਰਾਈ ॥
sree brijanaath ge mathuraa taj kai brij preet sabhai bisaraaee |Chandarbhaga and Radha said this to Krishna, “Krishna, relinquishing his attachment for Braja, has gone to Mathura,
ਰਾਧਿਕਾ ਜਾ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਾਨ ਕੀਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਤੈਸੇ ਹੀ ਮਾਨ ਕੀਯੋ ਜੀਅ ਆਈ ॥
raadhikaa jaa bidh maan keeyo har taise hee maan keeyo jeea aaee |“The way in which Radha had exhibited her pride, Krishna also thought that he should also do the same
ਤਾ ਦਿਨ ਕੇ ਬਿਛੁਰੇ ਬਿਛੁਰੇ ਸੁ ਦਈ ਹਮ ਕਉ ਅਬ ਆਨਿ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥੨੪੨੪॥
taa din ke bichhure bichhure su dee ham kau ab aan dikhaaee |2424|We are seeing each other now after having been separated for a long time.”2424.
ਏਕ ਮਿਲੀ ਕਹਿ ਯੌ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਜੁ ਹੁਤੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਭੂਖਨ ਕਉ ਅਤਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥
ek milee keh yau bateeyaa ju hutee brijabhookhan kau at piaaree |gopi met by speaking in this way which was very dear to Sri Krishna.
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਭਗਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨੁ ਸੁਤਾ ਜੁ ਧਰੇ ਤਨ ਬੀਚ ਕੁਸੁੰਭਨ ਸਾਰੀ ॥
chandrabhagaa brikhabhaan sutaa ju dhare tan beech kusunbhan saaree |Saying thus, Chandarbhaga and Radha, looking charming in their red saris, met Krishna
ਕੇਲ ਕਥਾ ਦਈ ਛੋਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਚਕਿ ਚਿਤ੍ਰਹ ਕੀ ਪੁਤਰੀ ਸੀ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥
kel kathaa dee chhor rahee chak chitrah kee putaree see savaaree |(They) have given up the talk of sports, (just seeing Krsna) the eyes are dimming and look like the pupils of a picture.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਤਬੈ ਸਬ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨ ਗਿਆਨ ਹੀ ਮੈ ਕਰਿ ਡਾਰੀ ॥੨੪੨੫॥
sayaam bhanai brijanaath tabai sab gvaarin giaan hee mai kar ddaaree |2425|Leaving the narration of the story of wonderful play, they are seeing Krishna with wonder and the poet Shyam says that Krishna instructed the gopis about knowledge.2425.
ਬਿਸਨਪਦ ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ॥
bisanapad dhanaasaree |BISHANPADA DHANASSARI
ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਬਾਲਾ ਮੋਹਨ ਆਏ ਹੈ ਕੁਰੁਖੇਤਿ ॥
sun paaee brijabaalaa mohan aae hai kurukhet |The damsels of Braja heard that Krishna had come to Kurukshetra he is the same Krishna
ਦਰਸਨ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਭੈ ਦੁਖ ਬਿਸਰੇ ਬੇਦ ਕਹਤ ਜਿਹ ਨੇਤਿ ॥
darasan dekh sabhai dukh bisare bed kahat jih net |, Seeing whom all the afflictions come to an end
ਤਨ ਮਨ ਅਟਕਿਓ ਚਰਨ ਕਵਲ ਸੋ ਧਨ ਨਿਵਛਾਵਰਿ ਦੇਤ ॥
tan man attakio charan kaval so dhan nivachhaavar det |And who is called eternal (nitya) by the Vedas, our mind and body is absorbed in his lotus-feet and our wealth is a sac
ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਇਕਾਤਿ ਕੀਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਹੀ ਛਿਨ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਗਿਆਨ ਸਿਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥
krisan ikaat keeyo tih hee chhin kahiyo giaan sikh lehu |Then Krishna called all of them in seclusion and asking them to engross themselves in the instructions of Knowledge,
ਮਿਲ ਬਿਛੁਰਨ ਦੋਊ ਇਹ ਜਗ ਮੈ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਤਨੁ ਅਸਨੇਹੁ ॥੨੪੨੬॥
mil bichhuran doaoo ih jag mai mithiaa tan asanehu |2426|He said, “The union and separation is the tradition of this world and the love for the body is false.”2426.

ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਠਾਢਿ ਭਏ ਉਠ ਕੈ ਸਭ ਗੁਆਰਨਿ ਕਉ ਐਸੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ॥
brij naaeik tthaadt bhe utth kai sabh guaaran kau aaise giaan drirraae |Krishna got up after imparting to them the instructions about knowledge in this way
ਨੰਦ ਜਸੋਮਤਿ ਪੰਡੁ ਕੇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਅਤਿ ਹੇਤੁ ਬਢਾਏ ॥
nand jasomat pandd ke putran sang mile at het badtaae |Nand and Yashoda were also pleased on meeting the Pandavas
