ਧੂਮ੍ਰਾਛ ਬਿਧੁੰਸਨ ਪ੍ਰਲੈ ਪ੍ਰਜੁੰਸਨ ਜਗ ਬਿਧੁੰਸਨ ਸੁਧ ਮਤੇ ॥
dhoomraachh bidhunsan pralai prajunsan jag bidhunsan sudh mate |Thou art the destroyer of the demon Dhumar Lochan, Thou causest the final destruction and the devastation of the world Thou art the Deity of pure intellect.
ਜਾਲਪਾ ਜਯੰਤੀ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਮਥੰਤੀ ਦੁਸਟ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਹਨ ਗਾੜ੍ਹ ਮਤੇ ॥
jaalapaa jayantee satr mathantee dusatt pradaahan gaarrh mate |Thou art the conqueror of Jalpa, the masherof enemies and thrower of tyrants in blaxe, O Deity of Profound intellect.
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਹੋਸੀ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨ ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਗਤੇ ॥੧੪॥੨੨੪॥
jai jai hosee mahikhaasur maradan aad jugaad agaadh gate |14|224|Hail, hail, O slayer of Mahishasura! Thou art the Primal and from the beginning of the ages, Thy discipline is Unfathomable. 14.224.
ਖਤ੍ਰਿਆਣ ਖਤੰਗੀ ਅਭੈ ਅਭੰਗੀ ਆਦਿ ਅਨੰਗੀ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਗਤੇ ॥
khatriaan khatangee abhai abhangee aad anangee agaadh gate |O Destroyer of Kshatriyas! Thou art Fearless, Unassailable, Primal, body-less, the Deity of Unfathomable Glory.
ਬ੍ਰਿੜਲਾਛ ਬਿਹੰਡਣਿ ਚਛੁਰ ਦੰਡਣਿ ਤੇਜ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਣਿ ਆਦਿ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੇ ॥
brirralaachh bihanddan chachhur danddan tej prachanddan aad brite |Thou art the Primal Power, the killer of the demon bridal and Punisher of the demon Chichhar, and intensely Glorious.
ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰਣਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਣਿ ਦੁਸਟ ਨਿਵਾਰਣਿ ਦੋਖ ਹਰੇ ॥
sur nar pratipaaran patit udhaaran dusatt nivaaran dokh hare |Thou art the Sustainer of gods and men, Saviour of sinners, vanquisher of tyrants and destroyer of blemishes.
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਹੋਸੀ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨਿ ਬਿਸ੍ਵ ਬਿਧੁੰਸਨਿ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਕਰੇ ॥੧੫॥੨੨੫॥
jai jai hosee mahikhaasur maradan bisv bidhunsan srisatt kare |15|225|Hail, hail, O slayer of Mahishasura! Thou art the Destroyer of the universe and Creator of the world. 15.225.
ਦਾਮਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸੇ ਉਨਤਨ ਨਾਸੇ ਜੋਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸੇ ਅਤੁਲ ਬਲੇ ॥
daamanee prakaase unatan naase jot prakaase atul bale |Thou art Iustrous like lightning, destroyer of the bodies (of demons), O Deity of Immeasurable strength! Thy Light pervades.
ਦਾਨਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਰਖਣਿ ਸਰ ਵਰ ਵਰਖਣਿ ਦੁਸਟ ਪ੍ਰਧਰਖਣਿ ਬਿਤਲ ਤਲੇ ॥
daanavee prakarakhan sar var varakhan dusatt pradharakhan bital tale |Thou art the masher of the forces of demons, with the rain of sharp arrows, Thou causest the tyrants to swoon and pervadest also in the nether-world.
ਅਸਟਾਇਧ ਬਾਹਣਿ ਬੋਲ ਨਿਬਾਹਣਿ ਸੰਤ ਪਨਾਹਣਿ ਗੂੜ੍ਹ ਗਤੇ ॥
asattaaeidh baahan bol nibaahan sant panaahan goorrh gate |Thou operatest all Thy eight weapons, Thou art True to Thy words, Thou art the support of the saints and hast profound discipline.
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਹੋਸੀ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨਿ ਆਦਿ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੇ ॥੧੬॥੨੨੬॥
jai jai hosee mahikhaasur maradan aad anaad agaadh brite |16|226|Hail, hail, O slayer of Mahishasura! The Primal, beginningless Deity! Thou art of Unfathomabel disposition.16.226.
ਦੁਖ ਦੋਖ ਪ੍ਰਭਛਣਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਰਛਣਿ ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਤਛਣਿ ਸੁਧ ਸਰੇ ॥
dukh dokh prabhachhan sevak rachhan sant pratachhan sudh sare |Thou art the consumer of sufferings and blemishes, protector of Thy servants, giver of Thy glimpse to Thy saints, Thy shafts are very sharp.
ਸਾਰੰਗ ਸਨਾਹੇ ਦੁਸਟ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਹੇ ਅਰਿ ਦਲ ਗਾਹੇ ਦੋਖ ਹਰੇ ॥
saarang sanaahe dusatt pradaahe ar dal gaahe dokh hare |Thou art the wearer of sword and armour, Thou causest to blaze the tyrants and tread on the forces of the enemies, Thou removest the blemishes.
ਗੰਜਨ ਗੁਮਾਨੇ ਅਤੁਲ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਮਾਨੇ ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤੇ ॥
ganjan gumaane atul pravaane sant jamaane aad ante |Thou art worship by saints from beginning to end, Thou destroyest the egoist and hast immeasurable authority.
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਹੋਸੀ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨ ਸਾਧ ਪ੍ਰਦਛਨ ਦੁਸਟ ਹੰਤੇ ॥੧੭॥੨੨੭॥
jai jai hosee mahikhaasur maradan saadh pradachhan dusatt hante |17|227|Hail, hail, O slayer of Mahishasura! Thou manifestest Thyself to Thy sints and killest the tyrants.17.227.
ਕਾਰਣ ਕਰੀਲੀ ਗਰਬ ਗਹੀਲੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਤੀਲੀ ਤੁੰਦ ਮਤੇ ॥
kaaran kareelee garab gaheelee jot jateelee tund mate |Thou art the cause of all causes, Thou art the chastiser of the egoists, Thou art Light-incarnate having sharp intellect.
ਅਸਟਾਇਧ ਚਮਕਣਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਝਮਕਣਿ ਦਾਮਨ ਦਮਕਣਿ ਆਦਿ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੇ ॥
asattaaeidh chamakan sasatr jhamakan daaman damakan aad brite |All of Thy eitht weapons gleam, when they wink, they glisten like lightning, O Primal Power.
ਡੁਕਡੁਕੀ ਦਮੰਕੈ ਬਾਘ ਬਬੰਕੈ ਭੁਜਾ ਫਰੰਕੈ ਸੁਧ ਗਤੇ ॥
ddukaddukee damankai baagh babankai bhujaa farankai sudh gate |Thy tampourine is being struck, Thy lion is roaring, Thy arms are quivering, O the Deity of Pure discipline!
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਹੋਸੀ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨ ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਮਤੇ ॥੧੮॥੨੨੮॥
jai jai hosee mahikhaasur maradan aad jugaad anaad mate |18|228|Hail, hail, O Slayer of Mahishasura! O Intellect-incarnate Deity from the very beginning, beginning of the ages and even without any beginning.18.228.
ਚਛਰਾਸੁਰ ਮਾਰਣਿ ਨਰਕ ਨਿਵਾਰਣਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਣਿ ਏਕ ਭਟੇ ॥
chachharaasur maaran narak nivaaran patit udhaaran ek bhatte |Thou art the killer of the demon Chichhar, O unique warrior, Thou art the Protector from hell and the Liberator of the sinners.
ਪਾਪਾਨ ਬਿਹੰਡਣਿ ਦੁਸਟ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਣਿ ਖੰਡ ਅਖੰਡਣਿ ਕਾਲ ਕਟੇ ॥
paapaan bihanddan dusatt prachanddan khandd akhanddan kaal katte |Thou art the Destroyer of the sins, punisher of the tyrants, breaker of the unbreakable and even the chopper of Death.
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਾਨਨ ਚਾਰੇ ਨਰਕ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਮੁੰਡ ਮਥੇ ॥
chandraanan chaare narak nivaare patit udhaare mundd mathe |Thy face is more winsome than moon, Thou art the Protector from hell and liberator of the sinners, O the masher of the demon Mund.
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਹੋਸੀ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨ ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਬਿਧੁੰਸਨਿ ਆਦਿ ਕਥੇ ॥੧੯॥੨੨੯॥
jai jai hosee mahikhaasur maradan dhoomr bidhunsan aad kathe |19|229|Hail hail O Slayer of Mahishasura! O Destroyer of Dhumar Lochan, Thou hast been described as the Primal Deity. 19.229.
ਰਕਤਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨ ਚੰਡ ਚਕਰਦਨ ਦਾਨਵ ਅਰਦਨ ਬਿੜਾਲ ਬਧੇ ॥
rakataasur maradan chandd chakaradan daanav aradan birraal badhe |O Stayer of the demon Rakatvija, O the masher of the demon Chand, O the Destroyer of the demons and the killer of the demon Bridal.
ਸਰ ਧਾਰ ਬਿਬਰਖਣ ਦੁਰਜਨ ਧਰਖਣ ਅਤੁਲ ਅਮਰਖਣ ਧਰਮ ਧੁਜੇ ॥
sar dhaar bibarakhan durajan dharakhan atul amarakhan dharam dhuje |Thou causest the rain of shafts and also makest the vicious people to swoon, Thou art the Deity of Immeasurable ire and Protector of the banner of Dharma.
ਧੂਮ੍ਰਾਛ ਬਿਧੁੰਸਨਿ ਸ੍ਰੌਣਤ ਚੁੰਸਨ ਸੁੰਭ ਨਪਾਤ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਮਥੇ ॥
dhoomraachh bidhunsan srauanat chunsan sunbh napaat nisunbh mathe |O Destroyer of the demon Dhumar Lochan, O the blood-drinker of Rakatvija, O the killer and masher of the demon-king Nisumbh.
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਹੋਸੀ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨ ਆਦਿ ਅਨੀਲ ਅਗਾਧ ਕਥੇ ॥੨੦॥੨੩੦॥
jai jai hosee mahikhaasur maradan aad aneel agaadh kathe |20|230|Hail, hail, O slayer of Mahishasura, described as Primal, Stainless and Unfathomable. 20.230.

ਤੁਮ ਕਹੋ ਦੇਵ ਸਰਬੰ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥
tum kaho dev saraban bichaar |I relate to thee all the thoughts, O Gurudeva (Or O Gurudeva )
ਜਿਮ ਕੀਓ ਆਪ ਕਰਤੇ ਪਸਾਰ ॥
jim keeo aap karate pasaar |Tell me all the musings) how the Creator created the expanse of the world?
ਜਦਪਿ ਅਭੂਤ ਅਨਭੈ ਅਨੰਤ ॥
jadap abhoot anabhai anant |Although the Lord is Elementless, Fearless and Infinite, !
ਤਉ ਕਹੋ ਜਥਾ ਮਤ ਤ੍ਰੈਣ ਤੰਤ ॥੧॥੨੩੧॥
tau kaho jathaa mat train tant |1|231|Then how did He extend the texture of this world? 1.231.
ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੀਮ ਕਾਦਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ॥
karataa kareem kaadar kripaal |He is the Doer, Beneficent, Mighty and Merciful !
ਅਦ੍ਵੈ ਅਭੂਤ ਅਨਭੈ ਦਿਆਲ ॥
advai abhoot anabhai diaal |He is Non-dual, Non-Elemental, Fearless and Benign.
ਦਾਤਾ ਦੁਰੰਤ ਦੁਖ ਦੋਖ ਰਹਤ ॥
daataa durant dukh dokh rahat |He is the Donor, Endless and devoid of sufferings and blemishes.!
ਜਿਹ ਨੇਤਿ ਨੇਤਿ ਸਭ ਬੇਦ ਕਹਤ ॥੨॥੨੩੨॥
jih net net sabh bed kahat |2|232|All the Vedas call Him ‘Neti, Neti’ (Not this, Not thisl….Infinite).2.232.
ਕਈ ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਕੀਨੋ ਬਨਾਉ ॥
kee aooch neech keeno banaau |He hath Created many beings in upper and lower regions.!
ਸਭ ਵਾਰ ਪਾਰ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਉ ॥
sabh vaar paar jaa ko prabhaau |His Glory is spread in all places here and there.
ਸਭ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤ ਜਾਨੰਤ ਜਾਹਿ ॥
sabh jeev jant jaanant jaeh |All the being and creatures know Him. O foolish mind!
ਮਨ ਮੂੜ ਕਿਉ ਨ ਸੇਵੰਤ ਤਾਹਿ ॥੩॥੨੩੩॥
man moorr kiau na sevant taeh |3|233|Why dost thou not remember Him? 3.233.
ਕਈ ਮੂੜ੍ਹ ਪਾਤ੍ਰ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰੰਤ ॥
kee moorrh paatr poojaa karant |Many fools worship the leaves (of Tulsi plant). !
ਕਈ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧ ਸੂਰਜ ਸਿਵੰਤ ॥
kee sidh saadh sooraj sivant |Many adepts and saints adore the Sun.
ਕਈ ਪਲਟ ਸੂਰਜ ਸਿਜਦਾ ਕਰਾਇ ॥
kee palatt sooraj sijadaa karaae |Many prostrate towards the west (opposite side of sunrise)!
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਏਕ ਰੂਪ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਕੈ ਲਖਾਇ ॥੪॥੨੩੪॥
prabh ek roop dvai kai lakhaae |4|234|They consider the Lord as dual, who is actually one!4. 234
ਅਨਛਿਜ ਤੇਜ ਅਨਭੈ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ॥
anachhij tej anabhai prakaas |His Glory is Unassailable and His illumination is devoid of fear!
ਦਾਤਾ ਦੁਰੰਤ ਅਦ੍ਵੈ ਅਨਾਸ ॥
daataa durant advai anaas |He is Infinite Donor, Non-dual and Indestructible
ਸਭ ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਤੇ ਰਹਤ ਰੂਪ ॥
sabh rog sog te rahat roop |He is an Entity devoid of all ailments and sorrows!
ਅਨਭੈ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਛੈ ਸਰੂਪ ॥੫॥੨੩੫॥
anabhai akaal achhai saroop |5|235|He is Fearless, Immortal and Invincible Entity!5. 235
