ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਜੁਧ ਸਮੈ ਅਰਿ ਅਉਰ ਨ ਆਂਖਨ ਅਗ੍ਰਜ ਆਨਿਯੋ ॥

Knowing this, the king considering him a hero

ਮੰਤ੍ਰਨ ਹੇਰਿ ਸਭੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਬਰੁ ਲਾਇਕ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਖਾਨਿਯੋ ॥

The ministers looking at Krishna, described him as the suitable match

ਅਉਧ ਕੇ ਰਾਇ ਤਬੈ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਮਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਮਾਨਿਯੋ ॥੨੧੦੯॥

Then according to the poet Shyam, the king of Oudh felt extreme happiness.2109.

ਕਰਮਨ ਮੈ ਦਿਜ ਸ੍ਰੇਸਟ ਜੁ ਥੇ ਜਬ ਸੋ ਇਹ ਭੂਪ ਸਭਾ ਹੂੰ ਮੈ ਆਏ ॥

ਦੈ ਕੈ ਅਸੀਸ ਨ੍ਰਿਪੋਤਮ ਕੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਇਹ ਬੈਨ ਸੁਨਾਏ ॥

The eminent Brahmins, export in Vedic rituals, came to the court and giving their blessings to the king, they said these words,

ਜਾ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਨੋ ਤੁਮ ਹੇਤੁ ਘਨੇ ਦਿਜ ਦੇਸਨ ਦੇਸ ਪਠਾਏ ॥

ਸੋ ਤੁਮ ਰਾਇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਹੀ ਬਰੁ ਲਾਇਕ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਪਾਏ ॥੨੧੧੦॥

“O king! you had sent Brahmins for finding a suitable match for this daughter in different countries, but today fortunately that match has been obtained.”2110.

ਯੌ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਚਿਤ ਕੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਬੀਚ ਹੁਲਾਸ ਬਢੈ ਕੈ ॥

ਦਾਜ ਦਯੋ ਜਿਹ ਅੰਤ ਨ ਆਵਤ ਬਾਜਨ ਦ੍ਵਾਰ ਅਨੇਕ ਬਜੈ ਕੈ ॥

Hearing these words of the Brahmins, the king getting pleased caused the musical instruments to be played and gave various kinds of dowry

ਬਿਪ੍ਰਨ ਦੀਨ ਘਨੀ ਦਛਨਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇ ਕਿਤੈ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਚਿਤੈ ਕੈ ॥

ਸੁੰਦਰ ਜੋ ਆਪਨੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਸੁ ਦਈ ਘਨਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਠੈ ਕੈ ॥੨੧੧੧॥

Suitable presents were given to the Brahmins and with great pleasure, he offered his daughter to Krishna.2111.

ਜੀਤਿ ਸੁਅੰਬਰ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਆਉਧ ਕੇ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਕੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਜਬ ਆਯੋ ॥

ਬਾਗ ਕੇ ਭੀਤਰ ਸੈਲ ਕਰੈ ਸੰਗ ਪਾਰਥ ਥੇ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਠਹਰਾਯੋ ॥

When Krishna came back after winning the daughter of the king of Oudh is mvara, he made up his mind to roam in the forest alongwith Arjuna

ਪੋਸਤ ਭਾਗ ਅਫੀਮ ਘਨੇ ਮਦ ਪੀਵਨ ਕੇ ਤਿਨਿ ਕਾਜ ਮੰਗਾਯੋ ॥

ਮੰਗਨ ਲੋਗਨ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਠਿਯੋ ਬਹੁ ਆਵਤ ਭੇ ਜਨ ਪਾਰ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੨੧੧੨॥

There he caused to be brought Poppy plant, hemp, opium and various kinds of wines for drinking, there he also called many beggars and singers, who came in groups.2112.

ਬਹੁ ਰਾਮਜਨੀ ਤਹ ਨਾਚਤ ਹੈ ਇਕ ਝਾਝਰ ਬੀਨ ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਬਜਾਵੈ ॥

Many concubines, playing their anklets, lyres and drums began to dance there

ਦੈ ਇਕ ਝੂਮਕ ਆਵਤ ਹੈ ਇਕ ਭਾਮਿਨ ਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਝੂਮਕ ਜਾਵੈ ॥

Someone is dancing while revolving, and some woman is spinning on all the four sides of Krishna

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਪਟੰਬਰ ਦੇਤ ਤਿਨੈ ਮਨਿ ਲਾਲ ਘਨੇ ਚਿਤ ਕੋ ਜੁ ਰਿਝਾਵੈ ॥

Krishna is giving them comfortable raiments, gems and jewels

ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਬਹੁ ਮੋਲ ਖਰੇ ਸੁਰ ਰਾਜਹਿ ਕੋ ਕੋਊ ਹਾਥਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੨੧੧੩॥

He is giving such precious things to them, which even Indra cannot procure.2113.

ਪਾਵਤ ਰਾਮਜਨੀ ਨਰ ਕੈ ਧਨ ਪਾਵਤ ਹੈ ਬਹੁ ਦਾਨ ਗਵਇਯਾ ॥

The concubines after dancing and the singers after singing are receiving great gifts

ਏਕ ਰਿਝਾਵਤ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਪੜਿ ਛੰਤ ਸਵਇਯਾ ॥

Someone is pleasing Krishna by reciting poetry and someone is pleasing him by reciting various stanzas

ਅਉਰ ਦਿਸਾ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਸੁ ਘਨੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਨਾਚਤ ਹੈ ਕਰਿ ਗਾਨ ਭਵਇਆ ॥

ਕਉਨ ਕਮੀ ਕਹੋ ਹੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਜੋਊ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੇ ਧਾਮ ਅਵਇਯਾ ॥੨੧੧੪॥

All are dancing together by revolving in all the directions, whosoever has come to the abode of Krishna, then tell us, what shortage he can have?2114.

ਤਿਨ ਕੌ ਬਹੁ ਦੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਥ ਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਭੋਜਨ ਕੀ ਭੂਅ ਮੈ ਪਗ ਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

Giving them many presents, Krihsna went to dine alongwith Arjuna

ਪੋਸਤ ਭਾਗ ਅਫੀਮ ਮੰਗਾਇ ਪੀਓ ਮਦ ਸੋਕ ਬਿਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

They made use of poppy seeds, hemp and opium and drank wine, thereby they removed all their sorrows

ਮਤਿ ਹੋ ਚਾਰੋਈ ਕੈਫਨ ਸੋ ਸੁਤ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਕੈ ਸੋ ਇਮਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

ਕਾਮ ਕੀਯੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਘਟਿ ਕਿਉ ਮਦਰਾ ਕੋ ਨ ਆਠਵੋ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਸਵਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੧੧੫॥

Getting intoxicated with all these four stimulants Krishna said to Arjuna, “Brahma has done the right thing in not creating the eight ocean of wine.2115.

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

DOHRA

ਤਬ ਪਾਰਥ ਕਰ ਜੋਰਿ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸੁਨਾਇ ॥

ਜੜ ਬਾਮਨ ਇਨ ਰਸਨ ਕੋ ਜਾਨੇ ਕਹਾ ਉਪਾਇ ॥੨੧੧੬॥

Then Arjuna said to Krishna with folded hands, “What do the senseless Brahmins know about the enjoyment of these essences and pleasures.”2116.

ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਸਮ ਸਿਕੰਧ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭ ਨਾਥਿ ਅਵਧ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਬਿਵਾਹਤ ਭਏ ॥

End of the story about he marriage with the daughter of the king Brikhbh Nath of Oudh after stringing the bulls in Krishnavatara (based on Dasham Skandh Purana) in Bachittar Natak.

ਅਥ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਭੂਮਾਸੁਰ ਕੇ ਦੁਖ ਤੇ ਆਵਤ ਭਏ ਕਥਨੰ ॥

Now begins the description of the Arrival of Indra on being agonised byh the demon Bhumasura

ਚੌਪਈ ॥

CHAUPAI

ਦ੍ਵਾਰਵਤੀ ਜਬ ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਆਯੋ ॥

ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਆਇ ਪਾਇਨ ਲਪਟਾਯੋ ॥

When Krishna came to Dwarka, then Indra came there and clung to his feet

ਭੂਮਾਸੁਰ ਕੋ ਦੂਖ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੨੧੧੭॥

He told about the agony caused by Bhumasura and said, “O Lord! I have been greatly distressed by him.2117.

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

DOHRA

ਸੋ ਮੋ ਪਰ ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਹੈ ਮੋ ਪੈ ਸਧਿਯੋ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥

“He is very powerful, I can’t chastise him, therefore O Lord!

ਤਾ ਕੋ ਆਪਨ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕੀਜੈ ਨਾਸ ਉਪਾਇ ॥੨੧੧੮॥

Take some step to destroy him.”2118.

ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

SWAYYA

ਤਬ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਬਿਦਾ ਕੈ ਦਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੂ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਸੁ ਸਮੋਧ ਭਲੈ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ॥

ਮਨ ਮੈ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਚਿੰਤ ਨ ਤੂ ਕਰਿ ਰੇ ਚਲਿ ਹੋਂ ਨਹੀ ਹਉ ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਟਰਿ ਕੈ ॥

Then Krishna giving instructions to Indra, bade farewell to him saying, “Do not have any anxiety in your mind, he will not be able to move me from my stable position

ਕੁਪ ਕੈ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਰਥ ਪੈ ਚੜਿ ਹੋਂ ਸਭ ਸਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਹਾਥਨ ਮੈ ਧਰਿ ਕੈ ॥

“When I shall mount my chariot in anger and hold my weapons,

ਡਰਿ ਤੂ ਨ ਅਰੇ ਡਰਿ ਹਉ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਅਰਿ ਕਉ ਪਲਿ ਮੈ ਸਤਿ ਧਾ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ॥੨੧੧੯॥

Then I shall chop your enemies into bits in an instant, therefore do not get fearful.”2119.

ਮਘਵਾ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਆਇ ਗਯੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੋ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਬਧਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਬਸਾਯੋ ॥

Indra bowed his head and went to this home and Krishna felt his fear from the depth

ਸੰਗ ਲਈ ਜਦੁਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਤਨਾ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਰਥ ਕੋ ਕਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਚਲਾਯੋ ॥

He took the Yadava army alongwith him and also called Arjuna

ਏਕ ਤ੍ਰੀਯਾ ਹਿਤ ਲੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਉਤਕਿ ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥
