ਅਜਿਤ ਮੰਜਰੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ॥
ajit manjaree grih jaa ke triy |There was a woman named Ajit Manjari in his house
ਮਨ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਬਚ ਜਿਨ ਬਸਿ ਕੀਨਾ ਪਿਯ ॥੧॥
man kram bach jin bas keenaa piy |1|The one who had conquered her husband by mind, word and deed. 1.
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਮਤੀ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਇਕ ॥
bhujang matee taa kee duhitaa ik |He had a daughter named Bhujang Mati.
ਪੜੀ ਕੋਕ ਬ੍ਯਾਕਰਨ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰਨਿਕ ॥
parree kok bayaakaran saasatranik |Jo Kok was educated in education, grammar and literature.
ਭਾਗਵਾਨ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਅਤਿ ਗੁਨੀ ॥
bhaagavaan sundar at gunee |She was very fortunate, beautiful and virtuous.
ਜਾ ਸਮ ਲਖੀ ਨ ਕਾਨਨ ਸੁਨੀ ॥੨॥
jaa sam lakhee na kaanan sunee |2|He had not seen anyone like him, nor had he heard with his ears. 2.
ਸਾਹ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭ ਧੁਜਿ ਇਕ ਤਹਿ ॥
saah putr brikhabh dhuj ik teh |There was (lived) a son of a Shah named Brikhabha Dhuji.
ਰੂਪ ਸੀਲ ਸੁਚਿ ਬ੍ਰਤਤਾ ਜਾ ਮਹਿ ॥
roop seel such bratataa jaa meh |He was a person of form, character and purity.
ਤੇਜਮਾਨ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਬਿਕਟ ਮਤਿ ॥
tejamaan balavaan bikatt mat |He was very quick, strong and wicket wise.
ਅਲਖ ਕਰਮ ਲਖਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਰਿਸ੍ਰਯੋ ਰਤਿ ॥੩॥
alakh karam lakh taeh risrayo rat |3|Seeing his invisible deeds, Rati gets angry (why are his qualities more than my husband Kam Dev)?3.
ਵਹੈ ਕੁਅਰ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੁਤਾ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
vahai kuar nrip sutaa nihaaraa |That virgin was seen by the king's daughter
ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
soorabeer balavaan bichaaraa |And thought (in mind) that it is strong and valiant.
ਹਿਤੂ ਸਹਚਰਿ ਇਕ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਬੁਲਾਇਸਿ ॥
hitoo sahachar ik nikatt bulaaeis |(He) called a favored maid
ਭੇਦ ਭਾਖਿ ਤਿਹ ਤੀਰ ਪਠਾਇਸਿ ॥੪॥
bhed bhaakh tih teer patthaaeis |4|(And he) sent to him after telling all the secrets. 4.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਪਵਨ ਭੇਸ ਕਰਿ ਸਖੀ ਤਹਾ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਇਯਹੁ ॥
pavan bhes kar sakhee tahaa tum jaaeiyahu |(Raj Kumari said) O Sakhi! You take the form of wind and go there
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਤਾਹਿ ਰਿਝਾਇਯਹੁ ॥
bhaat bhaat kar binatee taeh rijhaaeiyahu |And please him by making various requests.
ਕੈ ਅਬ ਹੀ ਤੈ ਹਮਰੀ ਆਸ ਨ ਕੀਜਿਯੈ ॥
kai ab hee tai hamaree aas na keejiyai |Or you give up my hope from now on,
ਹੋ ਨਾਤਰ ਮੋਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਸਜਨ ਕੌ ਦੀਜਿਯੈ ॥੫॥
ho naatar mohi milaae sajan kau deejiyai |5|Otherwise, find me a gentleman. 5.
ਪਵਨ ਭੇਸ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਸਖੀ ਤਹਾ ਤੇ ਤਹ ਗਈ ॥
pavan bhes hvai sakhee tahaa te tah gee |In the form of wind, Sakhi went from there to there.
ਭਾਤਿ ਅਨੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧ ਕਰਤ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਭਈ ॥
bhaat anek prabodh karat taa kau bhee |Explained to him in many ways.
ਉਤਿਮ ਭੇਸ ਸੁ ਧਾਰ ਲ੍ਯਾਈ ਤਿਹ ਤਹਾ ॥
autim bhes su dhaar layaaee tih tahaa |Dressed him in beautiful clothes and brought him there
ਹੋ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਮਤੀ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੁਤਾ ਬਹਿਠੀ ਥੀ ਜਹਾ ॥੬॥
ho bhujang matee nrip sutaa bahitthee thee jahaa |6|Where Raj Kumari Bhujang Mati was sitting. 6.
ਉਠਿ ਸੁ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਿਨ ਲੀਨ ਗਰੇ ਸੌ ਲਾਇ ਕਰਿ ॥
autth su kuar tin leen gare sau laae kar |(Raj Kumari) got up and hugged him
ਅਲਿੰਗਨ ਕਰਿ ਚੁੰਬਨ ਹਰਖ ਉਪਜਾਇ ਕਰਿ ॥
alingan kar chunban harakh upajaae kar |And joyfully embraced and kissed.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਿਹ ਭਜਾ ਪਰਮ ਰੁਚਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਕੈ ॥
bhaat bhaat tih bhajaa param ruch maan kai |Engaged with him in various ways.
ਹੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਨ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਯਾਰੋ ਸਜਨ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਿ ਕੈ ॥੭॥
ho praanan te payaaro sajan pahichaan kai |7|(And considered him) dearer than mortals. 7.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਰੁਨੀ ਤਰਨ ਭਰਿਯੋ ਪਰਮ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ॥
bhaat bhaat tarunee taran bhariyo param sukh paae |(They) the young men and the young women were filled with the happiness of each other.
ਇਹੀ ਬਿਖੈ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਪਿਤਾ ਤਹੀ ਨਿਕਸਿਯੋ ਆਇ ॥੮॥
eihee bikhai taa ko pitaa tahee nikasiyo aae |8|Meanwhile, his father came there. 8.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਪਿਤੁ ਆਵਤ ਅੰਚਰ ਮੁਖ ਡਰਾ ॥
pit aavat anchar mukh ddaraa |At the father's arrival (he) took a slap on his face
ਲਾਗਿ ਗਰੇ ਰੋਦਨ ਬਹੁ ਕਰਾ ॥
laag gare rodan bahu karaa |And hugged and cried a lot.
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਦਰਸੁ ਬਹੁ ਦਿਨ ਮੋ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
kahiyo daras bahu din mo paayo |It started to say that I have received (your) deedar after many days.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਮੋਰ ਉਮਗਿ ਹਿਯ ਆਯੋ ॥੯॥
taa te mor umag hiy aayo |9|That is why my heart has leapt (to cry) 9.
ਜਬ ਤੇ ਮੈ ਸਸੁਰਾਰ ਸਿਧਾਈ ॥
jab te mai sasuraar sidhaaee |The day I got married
ਤਹ ਤੇ ਜਾਇ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਘਰ ਆਈ ॥
tah te jaae bahur ghar aaee |And after going there, I came home.
ਤਬ ਤੇ ਅਬ ਮੈ ਤਾਤ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
tab te ab mai taat nihaaraa |Since then I have seen my father,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਾ ਮੋਹ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥੧੦॥
taa te upajaa moh apaaraa |10|Therefore, a lot of love has been produced. 10.
ਅਜਿਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜਬ ਯੌ ਸੁਨਿ ਲਯੋ ॥
ajit singh jab yau sun layo |When (King) Ajit Singh heard this,
ਰੋਦਨ ਕਰਤ ਗਰੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਭਯੋ ॥
rodan karat gare mil bhayo |So he hugged the girl crying.
ਤਬ ਤਿਹ ਘਾਤ ਭਲੀ ਕਰ ਆਈ ॥
tab tih ghaat bhalee kar aaee |Then it seemed like a good opportunity
ਸਖੀ ਦਯੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮੀਤ ਪਠਾਈ ॥੧੧॥
sakhee dayo grih meet patthaaee |11|And Sakhi sent Mitra home. 11.

ਪਿਤੁ ਕੇ ਅੰਚਰ ਡਾਰਿ ਸਿਰ ਆਂਖੈ ਲਈ ਦੁਰਾਇ ॥
pit ke anchar ddaar sir aankhai lee duraae |Throwing a veil over the father's head, he hid (his) eyes.
ਮੋਹਿਤ ਭਯੋ ਰੋਵਤ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਮੀਤ ਦਿਯਾ ਪਹੁਚਾਇ ॥੧੨॥
mohit bhayo rovat rahiyo meet diyaa pahuchaae |12|(The father) kept on crying in fascination (and taking an opportunity here) he took Mitra home. 12.

eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau pachaas charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |250|4708|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 250th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 250.4708. goes on
