ਨਿਜੁ ਨਾਰੀ ਕੈ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਤ੍ਰਸਾਵੈ ॥੪॥
nij naaree kai traas trasaavai |4|But he was very nervous because of the fear of his wife. 4.
ਜਬ ਰਾਨੀ ਐਸੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
jab raanee aaise sun paaee |When the queen heard this
ਇਹੈ ਚਿਤ ਅਪਨੇ ਠਹਰਾਈ ॥
eihai chit apane tthaharaaee |(So he) fixed (this thing) in his mind
ਜੋ ਮੈ ਧਾਮ ਜਾਰ ਕੇ ਜਾਊ ॥
jo mai dhaam jaar ke jaaoo |That if I go to (a) friend's house
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਨ ਕਹੈ ਕਛੁ ਮਾਫ ਕਰਾਊ ॥੫॥
nripan kahai kachh maaf karaaoo |5|And by asking the king to get some forgiveness (already for my mistake).5.
ਰੈਨਿ ਸਮੈ ਜਬ ਤਹ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਆਏ ॥
rain samai jab tah nrip aae |At night when the king came there (i.e. came home)
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਰਾਨੀ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਾਏ ॥
eih bidh raanee bachan sunaae |So Rani shared the words like this.
ਮੋ ਤੇ ਤਾਹਿ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਨੌ ॥
mo te taeh sundar tih jaanau |You consider her (prostitute) more beautiful than me.
ਜਾ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਰਾਇ ਤੁਮ ਠਾਨੌ ॥੬॥
jaa so preet raae tum tthaanau |6|(Therefore) O king! You are in love with him. 6.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਅਧਿਕ ਰੋਖ ਮੁਹਿ ਭਯੋ ॥
taa te adhik rokh muhi bhayo |Because of this, I have a lot of anger in my mind
ਬੇਸ੍ਵਾ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਗਯੋ ॥
besvaa ke raajaa grih gayo |That (a) king goes to the house of a prostitute.
ਇਹ ਅਪਨੀ ਭਗਨਿਯਹਿ ਨ ਭਜੋ ॥
eih apanee bhaganiyeh na bhajo |(Either) Stop playing with this sister (meaning prostitute) of yours.
ਮੋ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨਤਰ ਤੁਮ ਤਜੋ ॥੭॥
mo so preet natar tum tajo |7|Otherwise, give up loving me.7.
ਜੌ ਤੁਮ ਬੇਸ੍ਵਾ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਜੈਹੋ ॥
jau tum besvaa ke grih jaiho |If you go to a prostitute's house
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ਕਮੈ ਹੋ ॥
kaam bhog tih saath kamai ho |And will have sex with him.
ਤਬ ਮੈ ਧਾਮ ਜਾਰ ਕੇ ਜੈਹੋ ॥
tab mai dhaam jaar ke jaiho |Then I will go to (my) friend's house
ਤੇਰੇ ਫੂਲਿ ਡਾਰਿ ਸਿਰ ਐ ਹੋ ॥੮॥
tere fool ddaar sir aai ho |8|And I will come with ashes on your head. 8.
ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਬਾਤ ਮੁਹਿ ਯਹ ਲਿਖਿ ਦ੍ਰਯਾਵਹੁ ॥
pratham baat muhi yah likh drayaavahu |First write me this.
ਜਿਹ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਤਿਹ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬੁਲਾਵਹੁ ॥
jih jaanahu tih bahur bulaavahu |Then invite whomever you wish.
ਜਿਹ ਚਾਹੌ ਤਿਹ ਹੌਹੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਵੌ ॥
jih chaahau tih hauahoon bulaavau |Call whoever you want
ਕਾਮ ਕੇਲ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ਕਮਾਵੌ ॥੯॥
kaam kel tih saath kamaavau |9|And have sexual intercourse with him. 9.
ਜਬ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੁਨੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਬੈਨਾ ॥
jab ih bhaat sune nrip bainaa |When the king heard such words
ਜੋਰਿ ਰਹਾ ਨੈਨਨ ਸੋ ਨੈਨਾ ॥
jor rahaa nainan so nainaa |And eye to eye (his) eye,
ਚੁਪ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਹਾ ਕਛੂ ਨਹਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥
chup hvai rahaa kachhoo neh kahiyo |So he remained silent, did not say anything.
ਤਵਨ ਭੇਦ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਇਨ ਲਹਿਯੋ ॥੧੦॥
tavan bhed isatree in lahiyo |10|(Understood in his mind that) the woman (queen) has found his secret. 10.
ਮੋਰੀ ਲਗਨ ਉਤੈ ਲਗਿ ਗਈ ॥
moree lagan utai lag gee |(The king thought in his mind that) my passion is attached to her (the prostitute),
ਤਬ ਰਾਨੀ ਅਸਿ ਬਾਤ ਠਟਈ ॥
tab raanee as baat tthattee |That is why Rani has said this.
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਕਰਿਯੈ ਕਵਨ ਉਪਾਈ ॥
taa ko kariyai kavan upaaee |Something should be done about it
ਮੁਹਿ ਤੇ ਤਜੀ ਨ ਬੇਸ੍ਵਾ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੧॥
muhi te tajee na besvaa jaaee |11|(Because) Prostitute does not escape from me. 11.
ਅਬ ਯਹ ਬਾਤ ਰਾਨਿਯਹਿ ਗਹੀ ॥
ab yah baat raaniyeh gahee |Now the queen has caught this thing
ਮੋਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬੇਸ੍ਵਾ ਸੰਗ ਲਹੀ ॥
mor preet besvaa sang lahee |That (he) has seen my love with a harlot.
ਵਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਮੋ ਸੌ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
vaa bin mo sau rahiyo na jaaee |Without her (prostitute) I am not left,
ਤਾਹਿ ਭਜੇ ਕਰ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੨॥
taeh bhaje kar te triy jaaee |12|(But if) I combine with him, then the queen goes away. 12.
ਜਬ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਫਿਰਿ ਰਾਨੀ ਕੇ ਆਯੋ ॥
jab nrip fir raanee ke aayo |When the king again came to the queen,
ਤਬ ਰਾਨੀ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥
tab raanee ih bhaat sunaayo |Then the queen narrated thus (saying).
ਤੁਹਿ ਬੇਸ੍ਵਾ ਕੇ ਗਯੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਪੈਹੌ ॥
tuhi besvaa ke gayo sun paihau |(If I) heard that you have gone to whores,
ਤਬ ਮੈ ਭੋਗ ਜਾਰ ਸੌ ਕੈਹੌ ॥੧੩॥
tab mai bhog jaar sau kaihau |13|So I will have intercourse with a friend. 13.
ਅਬ ਤੁਮ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਧਾਤ ਪਿਯ ਗਏ ॥
ab tum hvai nridhaat piy ge |Oh dear! Now you have become 'nirdhat' (rasa-rudhar or spermless),
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਸੁਤ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਹੋਤ ਨ ਭਏ ॥
taa te sut grih hot na bhe |Therefore no son has been born in your house.
ਜਬ ਭਜਿ ਹੈ ਜੁ ਲੋਗ ਇਹ ਬਾਮਾ ॥
jab bhaj hai ju log ih baamaa |When other people will associate with (your) woman,
ਹ੍ਵੈ ਹੈ ਪੂਤ ਤਿਹਾਰੋ ਧਾਮਾ ॥੧੪॥
hvai hai poot tihaaro dhaamaa |14|Only then will you have a son in your house. 14.
ਤਬ ਰਾਜੈ ਯੌ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥
tab raajai yau hridai bichaaree |Then the king thought thus in his heart
ਭਲੀ ਬਾਤ ਰਾਨਿਯਹਿ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥
bhalee baat raaniyeh uchaaree |That Rani has said the right thing.
ਤਾ ਕੌ ਭੋਗ ਮਾਫ ਲਿਖਿ ਦੀਯੋ ॥
taa kau bhog maaf likh deeyo |He wrote an apology for indulging him
ਆਪ ਗਵਨ ਬੇਸ੍ਵਾ ਕੇ ਕੀਯੋ ॥੧੫॥
aap gavan besvaa ke keeyo |15|And he went to the prostitute's house. 15.
ਜਬ ਰਾਜਾ ਬੇਸ੍ਵਾ ਕੇ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
jab raajaa besvaa ke jaavai |When the king goes to prostitute,
ਜਿਹ ਚਾਹੈ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਰਿ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥
jih chaahai tih naar bulaavai |(Afterwards) the queen would call whomever (man) she wanted.
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਤੋ ਸੌ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਕਰਈ ॥
kaam bhog to sau drirr karee |Played well with him
