ਨਹੀ ਕਰੋ ਚਿੰਤ ਚਿਤ ਮਾਝਿ ਏਕ ॥
nahee karo chint chit maajh ek |

(And said O Brahmin!) Do not have a single worry in your mind,

ਤਵ ਹੇਤੁ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਹਨਿ ਹੈ ਅਨੇਕ ॥੧੭੭॥
tav het satru han hai anek |177|

When the Brahmin mediated on KAL (death), then he appeared before him and said, “Do not worry in your mind, I shall kill many enemies for your sake.”177.

ਤਬ ਪਰੀ ਸੂੰਕ ਭੋਹਰ ਮਝਾਰ ॥
tab paree soonk bhohar majhaar |

Then a sound (was heard) from (the debtor's) forehead

ਉਪਜਿਓ ਆਨਿ ਕਲਕੀ ਵਤਾਰ ॥
aupajio aan kalakee vataar |

And the Kalki avatar appeared.

ਤਾੜ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਅਸਿ ਉਤੰਗ ॥
taarr pramaan kar as utang |

In (his) hand was a spear as high as a sword.

ਤੁਰਕਛ ਸੁਵਛ ਤਾਜੀ ਸੁਰੰਗ ॥੧੭੮॥
turakachh suvachh taajee surang |178|

Then a dreadful sound was heard from the basement of the temple and Kalki incarnation manifested Himself, he was long like the palm tree, He had bedecked His waist with quiver and he was riding on a beautiful horse.178.

ਸਿਰਖੰਡੀ ਛੰਦ ॥
sirakhanddee chhand |

SIRKHANDI STANZA

ਵਜੇ ਨਾਦ ਸੁਰੰਗੀ ਧਗਾ ਘੋਰੀਆ ॥
vaje naad surangee dhagaa ghoreea |

Beautifully colored bells and bells echoed,

ਨਚੇ ਜਾਣ ਫਿਰੰਗੀ ਵਜੇ ਘੁੰਘਰੂ ॥
nache jaan firangee vaje ghungharoo |

There was a loud sound and the heroic spirits began to dance tying small bells round the ankles

ਗਦਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਸੂਲ ਨਿਖੰਗੀ ਝੂਲਨ ਬੈਰਖਾ ॥
gadaa trisool nikhangee jhoolan bairakhaa |

Flags of maces, tridents, spears and spears began to wave.

ਸਾਵਨ ਜਾਣ ਉਮੰਗੀ ਘਟਾ ਡਰਾਵਣੀ ॥੧੭੯॥
saavan jaan umangee ghattaa ddaraavanee |179|

The maces, tridents, quivers and lances swung and waved like the dark clouds of Sawan.179.

ਬਾਣੇ ਅੰਗ ਭੁਜੰਗੀ ਸਾਵਲ ਸੋਹਣੇ ॥
baane ang bhujangee saaval sohane |

Black snake-like webs are worn on the body.

ਤ੍ਰੈ ਸੈ ਹਥ ਉਤੰਗੀ ਖੰਡਾ ਧੂਹਿਆ ॥
trai sai hath utangee khanddaa dhoohiaa |

The army (with Kalki) had worn beautiful garments and that three hundred hands long-sized Kalki drew out his double-edged sword

ਤਾਜੀ ਭਉਰ ਪਿਲੰਗੀ ਛਾਲਾ ਪਾਈਆ ॥
taajee bhaur pilangee chhaalaa paaeea |

The horse (inj) moves as if a lion had leaped.

ਭੰਗੀ ਜਾਣ ਭਿੜੰਗੀ ਨਚੇ ਦਾਇਰੀ ॥੧੮੦॥
bhangee jaan bhirrangee nache daaeiree |180|

The horses sprung like leopards and began to rotate.180.

ਬਜੇ ਨਾਦ ਸੁਰੰਗੀ ਅਣੀਆਂ ਜੁਟੀਆਂ ॥
baje naad surangee aneean jutteean |

It is the beautiful hour and the front ranks ('aniya') of the army are (together).

ਪੈਰੇ ਧਾਰ ਪਵੰਗੀ ਫਉਜਾ ਚੀਰ ਕੈ ॥
paire dhaar pavangee faujaa cheer kai |

The trumpets were sounded and the armies confronted each other, the warriors advanced through the armies

ਉਠੈ ਛੈਲ ਛਲੰਗੀ ਛਾਲਾ ਪਾਈਆਂ ॥
autthai chhail chhalangee chhaalaa paaeean |

Beautiful leaping warriors have risen and leapt.

ਝਾੜਿ ਝੜਾਕ ਝੜੰਗੀ ਤੇਗਾ ਵਜੀਆਂ ॥੧੮੧॥
jhaarr jharraak jharrangee tegaa vajeean |181|

They sprang and revolved and the swords struck with jerks.181.

ਸਮਾਨਕਾ ਛੰਦ ॥
samaanakaa chhand |

SAMANKA STANZA

ਜੁ ਦੇਖ ਦੇਖ ਕੈ ਸਬੈ ॥
ju dekh dekh kai sabai |

Seeing him, everyone has run away at once.

ਸੁ ਭਾਜਿ ਭਾਜਿ ਗੇ ਤਬੇ ॥
su bhaaj bhaaj ge tabe |

(As) it is said,

ਕਹਿਓ ਸੁ ਸੋਭ ਸੋਭ ਹੀ ॥
kahio su sobh sobh hee |

In the same way they are decorated

ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਲੋਭ ਹੀ ॥੧੮੨॥
bilok lok lobh hee |182|

Seeing him, all ran away, everyone coveted to see him.182.

ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਰੂਪ ਰਾਜਈ ॥
prachandd roop raajee |

(He) is splendidly adorned

ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਭਾਨ ਲਾਜਈ ॥
bilok bhaan laajee |

Seeing (whom) even the sun is ashamed.

ਸੁ ਚੰਡ ਤੇਜ ਇਉ ਲਸੈ ॥
su chandd tej iau lasai |

His greatness is shining like this

ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਜੋਤਿ ਕੋ ਹਸੈ ॥੧੮੩॥
prachandd jot ko hasai |183|

Seeing his powerful form, the sun is feeling shy and his effulgence is mocking the powerful light.183.

ਸੁ ਕੋਪਿ ਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਹਠੀ ॥
su kop kop kai hatthee |

Stubborn warriors are thus heated with rage,

ਚਪੈ ਚਿਰਾਇ ਜਿਉ ਭਠੀ ॥
chapai chiraae jiau bhatthee |

Like furnace pans.

ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਲਸੈ ॥
prachandd manddalee lasai |

The sharp-tongued congregation shrills,

ਕਿ ਮਾਰਤੰਡ ਕੋ ਹਸੈ ॥੧੮੪॥
ki maaratandd ko hasai |184|

The persistent warriors in rage are inflamed like the furnace, the powerful group of warriors is even scoffing at the sun.184.

ਸੁ ਕੋਪ ਓਪ ਦੈ ਬਲੀ ॥
su kop op dai balee |

By stirring up anger, the strong have gone

ਕਿ ਰਾਜ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਚਲੀ ॥
ki raaj manddalee chalee |

Or the kingdom is lost.

ਸੁ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਨਿ ਲੈ ॥
su asatr sasatr paan lai |

Holding weapons in hand

ਬਿਸੇਖ ਬੀਰ ਮਾਨ ਕੈ ॥੧੮੫॥
bisekh beer maan kai |185|

The soldiers of the king advanced in rage and they were holding their arms and weapons in their hands.185.

ਤੋਮਰ ਛੰਦ ॥
tomar chhand |

TOMAR STANZA

ਭਟ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਨਚਾਇ ॥
bhatt sasatr asatr nachaae |

By dancing the armor and weapons

ਚਿਤ ਕੋਪ ਓਪ ਬਢਾਇ ॥
chit kop op badtaae |

And by increasing the intensity of anger in the mind,

ਤੁਰਕਛ ਅਛ ਤੁਰੰਗ ॥
turakachh achh turang |

By riding on the best horse of Turkestan

ਰਣ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਾਰ ਉਤੰਗ ॥੧੮੬॥
ran rang chaar utang |186|

Imbued with the idea of fighting, getting enraged, the warriors riding the horses are swinging their arms and weapons.186.

ਕਰਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਪੀਸਤ ਦਾਤ ॥
kar krodh peesat daat |

Gritting his teeth in anger

ਕਹਿ ਆਪੁ ਆਪਨ ਬਾਤ ॥
keh aap aapan baat |

And by saying your own thing

ਭਟ ਭੈਰਹਵ ਹੈ ਧੀਰ ॥
bhatt bhairahav hai dheer |

The patient warriors challenge

ਕਰਿ ਕੋਪ ਛਾਡਤ ਤੀਰ ॥੧੮੭॥
kar kop chhaaddat teer |187|

In their fury, they are grinding their teeth and talking in themselves and filled with ego these warriors are discharging their arrows.187.

ਕਰ ਕੋਪ ਕਲਿ ਅਵਤਾਰ ॥
kar kop kal avataar |

Kalki avatar got angry

ਗਹਿ ਪਾਨਿ ਅਜਾਨ ਕੁਠਾਰ ॥
geh paan ajaan kutthaar |

And holding an ax in hands up to the knees (with long arms).

ਤਨਕੇਕ ਕੀਨ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ ॥
tanakek keen prahaar |

They beat each other
