ਭੂਤ ਹਤਾ ਇਕ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਉਚਾਰੈ ॥
bhoot hataa ik mantr uchaarai |demon exterminating mantra was chanted,
ਬੀਸ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਪੜਿ ਬੀਰ ਪੁਕਾਰੈ ॥
bees mantr parr beer pukaarai |So 'Bir' used to recite twenty mantras.
ਕਿਸਹੂੰ ਪਕਰਿ ਚੀਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਈ ॥
kisahoon pakar cheer kar deee |He used to hold someone and crack them
ਕਾਹੂੰ ਪਕਰਿ ਰਾਨ ਤਰ ਲੇਈ ॥੮॥
kaahoon pakar raan tar leee |8|And he used to hold someone and press him down the thigh. 8.
ਜਬ ਸਭ ਸਕਲ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਿ ਹਾਰੇ ॥
jab sabh sakal mantr kar haare |When all have lost by chanting,
ਤਬ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਤਨ ਬੀਰ ਪੁਕਾਰੇ ॥
tab ih bidh tan beer pukaare |Then 'Bir' spoke to them like this,
ਜੇ ਗੁਰ ਮੋਰ ਇਹਾ ਚਲਿ ਆਵੈ ॥
je gur mor ihaa chal aavai |If my Guru walks here,
ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੯॥
raaj kuar tab hee sukh paavai |9|Only then will Raj Kumar attain happiness. 9.
ਸੁਨਤ ਬਚਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਪਗ ਪਰੇ ॥
sunat bachan raajaa pag pare |Hearing these words, the king fell on his feet
ਬਹੁ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਰੇ ॥
bahu usatat kar bachan uchare |And praised (Bir) greatly and said,
ਕਹਾ ਤੋਰ ਗੁਰ ਮੋਹਿ ਬਤੈਯੈ ॥
kahaa tor gur mohi bataiyai |Where is your Guru, tell me.
ਜਿਹ ਤਿਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਹ੍ਯਾਂ ਲ੍ਯੈਯੈ ॥੧੦॥
jih tih bhaat taeh hayaan layaiyai |10|Like how to bring him here. 10.
ਜਵਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਤਾਯੋ ॥
javan purakh kaa naam bataayo |(Bir) said the name of the man,
ਨਾਰਿ ਤਿਸੀ ਕਾ ਭੇਸ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥
naar tisee kaa bhes banaayo |Raj Kumari impersonated him.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਿ ਠੌਰ ਭਾਖਤ ਭਯੋ ਜਹਾ ॥
nripeh tthauar bhaakhat bhayo jahaa |(Bir) told the king where (his whereabouts),
ਬੈਠੀ ਜਾਹਿ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਤਹਾ ॥੧੧॥
baitthee jaeh chanchalaa tahaa |11|(That) woman went and sat there. 11.
ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਤ ਤਹ ਭੂਪ ਸਿਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
bachan sunat tah bhoop sidhaariyo |After hearing the story, the king went there
ਤਿਹੀ ਰੂਪ ਤਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
tihee roop tar purakh nihaariyo |And saw a man of that form.
ਜਿਹ ਤਿਹ ਬਿਧ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਬਿਰਮਾਯੋ ॥
jih tih bidh taa kau biramaayo |As explained to him
ਅਪੁਨੇ ਧਾਮ ਤਾਹਿ ਲੈ ਆਯੋ ॥੧੨॥
apune dhaam taeh lai aayo |12|And brought him to his house. 12.
ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰ ਤਾ ਕਹ ਦਰਸਾਯੋ ॥
raaj kuar taa kah darasaayo |Raj Kumar showed him
ਬਚਨ ਤਾਹਿ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥
bachan taeh ih bhaat sunaayo |And to him (the woman seeing) spoke thus,
ਯੌ ਇਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਪਤਿਬ੍ਰਤਾ ਬਰੈ ॥
yau ih triy patibrataa barai |If he marries (a) Patibrata woman,
ਤਊ ਬਚੈ ਯਹ ਯੌ ਨ ਉਬਰੈ ॥੧੩॥
taoo bachai yah yau na ubarai |13|Only then will it survive, but (it) will not be borrowed. 13.
ਕਰਤ ਕਰਤ ਬਹੁ ਬਚਨ ਬਤਾਯੋ ॥
karat karat bahu bachan bataayo |While talking a lot (the woman)
ਸਾਹੁ ਸੁਤਾ ਕੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਤਾਯੋ ॥
saahu sutaa ke naam jataayo |The name of Shah's daughter was mentioned.
ਸੋ ਪਤਿਬ੍ਰਤਾ ਤਾਹਿ ਬਿਵਾਵਹੁ ॥
so patibrataa taeh bivaavahu |He is Patibrata, marry him (Raj Kumar).
ਜੌ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੁਤਹਿ ਜਿਯਾਯੋ ਚਾਹਹੁ ॥੧੪॥
jau nrip suteh jiyaayo chaahahu |14|If you want to keep the king's son alive. 14.
ਜੌ ਯਹ ਤਾਹਿ ਬ੍ਯਾਹਿ ਲ੍ਯਾਵੈ ॥
jau yah taeh bayaeh layaavai |If it brings him marriage
ਰੈਨਿ ਦਿਵਸ ਤਾ ਸੋ ਲਪਟਾਵੈ ॥
rain divas taa so lapattaavai |And clinging to him night and day,
ਅਵਰ ਨਾਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਟ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
avar naar ke nikatt na jaae |Don't get close to another woman.
ਤਬ ਯਹ ਜਿਯੈ ਕੁਅਰ ਸੁਭ ਕਾਇ ॥੧੫॥
tab yah jiyai kuar subh kaae |15|Only then will this good-looking Rajkumar be able to live. 15.
ਯਹੈ ਕਾਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਤੁਮ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
yahai kaar raajaa tum keejai |O Rajan! You do the same thing
ਅਬ ਹੀ ਹਮਹਿ ਬਿਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
ab hee hameh bidaa kar deejai |And send me away now.
ਲੈ ਆਗ੍ਯਾ ਤਿਹ ਆਸ੍ਰਮ ਗਈ ॥
lai aagayaa tih aasram gee |She (the woman) took permission and went to the ashram
ਧਾਰਤ ਭੇਸ ਨਾਰਿ ਕਾ ਭਈ ॥੧੬॥
dhaarat bhes naar kaa bhee |16|And disguised as a woman. 16.
ਰਾਜ ਸਾਜ ਬ੍ਯਾਹ ਕੌ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥
raaj saaj bayaah kau banaayo |The king arranged the wedding
ਸਾਹ ਸੁਤਾ ਹਿਤ ਪੂਤ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥
saah sutaa hit poot patthaayo |and sent (his) son to (marry) the Shah's daughter.
ਜਬ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਯਾਹ ਤਵਨ ਸੌ ਭਯੋ ॥
jab hee bayaah tavan sau bhayo |As soon as (he) married her,
ਤਬ ਹੀ ਤਾਹਿ ਭੂਤ ਤਜਿ ਗਯੋ ॥੧੭॥
tab hee taeh bhoot taj gayo |17|Only then the demon left him. 17.
ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰ ਇਹ ਛਲ ਸੌ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
raaj kuar ih chhal sau paayo |(That Shah's daughter) got Raj Kumar by this trick
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਕਿਸੀ ਬਤਾਯੋ ॥
bhed abhed na kisee bataayo |And did not tell the secret to anyone.
ਚੰਚਲਾਨ ਕੇ ਚਰਿਤ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
chanchalaan ke charit apaaraa |The characters of women are immense,
ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਹਾ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਤਾਰਾ ॥੧੮॥
chakrit rahaa kar kar karataaraa |18|Even the artist is surprised by the creation of (them). 18.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਤੀਨ ਸੌ ਪਚਾਨਵੋ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੩੯੫॥੭੦੩੩॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade teen sau pachaanavo charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |395|7033|afajoon|Here ends the 395th chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious.395.7033. goes on

pirathee pur tih nagar pramaniyat |The name of his town was Prithipur.
