ਤਾ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਰੋਸਨਾ ਰਾਈ ॥
taa ke sang rosanaa raaee |Roshna Roy agreed with him
ਬਿਬਿਧ ਬਿਧਨ ਤਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤੁਪਜਾਈ ॥
bibidh bidhan tan preetupajaaee |Loved in many ways.
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਤਿਹ ਸੰਗ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥
kaam bhog tih sang kamaayo |had sex with her,
ਤਾਹਿ ਪੀਰ ਅਪਨੋ ਠਹਿਰਾਯੋ ॥੩॥
taeh peer apano tthahiraayo |3|But he showed his patience. 3.
ਔਰੰਗ ਸਾਹ ਭੇਦ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
aauarang saah bhed neh jaanai |Aurangzeb did not know (this) secret
ਵਹੈ ਮੁਰੀਦ ਭਈ ਤਿਹ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
vahai mureed bhee tih maanai |And he believes that she (Roshanara) has become his disciple.
ਪੀਯ ਸਮੁਝਿ ਤਿਹ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
peey samujh tih bhog kamaavai |(Roushnara) used to treat her as her beloved,
ਪੀਰ ਭਾਖਿ ਸਭਹੂੰਨ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ॥੪॥
peer bhaakh sabhahoon sunaavai |4|But she used to call everyone as Peer. 4.
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਪੀਰ ਗਯੋ ਅਪਨੇ ਘਰ ॥
eik din peer gayo apane ghar |One day Pir went to his home.
ਤਾਹਿ ਬਿਨਾ ਤਿਹ ਪਰਤ ਨ ਛਿਨ ਕਰ ॥
taeh binaa tih parat na chhin kar |Without him, he was too tired.
ਰੋਗਨਿ ਤਨ ਅਪਨੇ ਠਹਰਾਈ ॥
rogan tan apane tthaharaaee |He made himself sick
ਵਾ ਪਹਿ ਬੈਠਿ ਸਾਢਨੀ ਆਈ ॥੫॥
vaa peh baitth saadtanee aaee |5|And sitting on the bed she came to him. 5.
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਰਹਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿਨ ਭਈ ॥
taa ke rahat bahut din bhee |She stayed with him for a long time.
ਬਹੁਰੌ ਸਹਿਰ ਦਿਲੀ ਮਹਿ ਗਈ ॥
bahurau sahir dilee meh gee |Then came to Delhi city.
ਭਈ ਅਰੋਗਨਿ ਭਾਖਿ ਅਨਾਈ ॥
bhee arogan bhaakh anaaee |Coming (he) said that (now) I have recovered.
ਬਾਤ ਭੇਦ ਕੀ ਕਿਨੂੰ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥੬॥
baat bhed kee kinoo na paaee |6|But no one could understand (his) secrets. 6.
ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਭਏ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥
bhraat bhe ih bhaat uchaaree |Said to the brother (Aurangzeb) thus,
ਰੋਗ ਬਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹਰੀ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥
rog baddaa prabh haree hamaaree |(I) had a major disease, God has cured me (of the disease).
ਬੈਦਨ ਅਧਿਕ ਇਨਾਮ ਦਿਲਾਯੋ ॥
baidan adhik inaam dilaayo |(He) greatly rewarded the physician.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਔਰੰਗ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੭॥
bhed abhed na aauarang paayo |7|Aurangzeb could not find its secret.7.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਅਠਹਤਰਿ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੭੮॥੫੩੫੨॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥

ਪ੍ਰੇਮਾਵਤੀ ਨਗਰ ਇਕ ਰਾਜਤ ॥
premaavatee nagar ik raajat |There was a town called Premavati,
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਸੈਨ ਜਹ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਬਿਰਾਜਤ ॥
prem sain jah nripat biraajat |Where there was a king named Prem Sen.
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮੰਜਰੀ ਤਿਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਦਾਰਾ ॥
prem manjaree tih grih daaraa |There was a woman named Prem Manjari in his house
ਜਾ ਸਮ ਦਿਤਿ ਨ ਅਦਿਤਿ ਕੁਮਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
jaa sam dit na adit kumaaraa |1|The likes of which there were no wives of gods and giants. 1.
ਤਹਾ ਸਾਹੁ ਕੇ ਪੂਤ ਸੁਘਰ ਅਤਿ ॥
tahaa saahu ke poot sughar at |There the Shah had (a) very handsome son
ਜਾ ਸਮ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰ ਨ ਕਹੂੰ ਕਤ ॥
jaa sam raaj kuar na kahoon kat |There was no Rajkumar like him anywhere.
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਕਹਨ ਨਹਿ ਆਵੈ ॥
jaa kee prabhaa kahan neh aavai |Her beauty cannot be described.
ਹੇਰੈ ਪਲਕ ਨ ਜੋਰੀ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
herai palak na joree jaavai |2|Seeing him, the eyelids did not blink. 2.
ਜਬ ਰਾਨੀ ਤਿਹ ਕੀ ਦੁਤਿ ਲਹੀ ॥
jab raanee tih kee dut lahee |When the queen saw his beauty,
ਐਸੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਕਹੀ ॥
aaisee bhaat chit meh kahee |So I thought like this in my mind.
ਕੈ ਇਹ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਊ ॥
kai ih ke sang bhog kamaaoo |Either I indulge in it,
ਨਾਤਰ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਜੋਗਨਿ ਬਨ ਜਾਊ ॥੩॥
naatar hvai jogan ban jaaoo |3|Otherwise, wake up and go to the house. 3.
ਏਕ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਤਹਾ ਪਠਾਈ ॥
ek sahacharee tahaa patthaaee |He sent a maidservant there.
ਤਾਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧਿ ਤਹਾ ਲੈ ਆਈ ॥
taeh prabodh tahaa lai aaee |After explaining to him (the maid) brought him there.
ਬਨਿ ਠਨਿ ਬੈਠ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਜਹਾ ॥
ban tthan baitth chanchalaa jahaa |Where she sat disguised as a woman,
ਲੈ ਆਈ ਸਹਚਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਜਹਾ ॥੪॥
lai aaee sahachar tih jahaa |4|The maid brought him there. 4.
ਆਤੁਰ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਲਪਟਾਈ ॥
aatur kuar taeh lapattaaee |(From lust) The eager queen clung to him
ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਭਜ੍ਯੋ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥
bahu bidh bhajayo mitr sukhadaaee |And indulged in many ways with pleasant friends.
ਚਤੁਰ ਪਹਰ ਰਜਨੀ ਰਤਿ ਮਾਨੀ ॥
chatur pahar rajanee rat maanee |(He) played the night game for four hours.
ਕਰਤ ਕਾਮ ਕੀ ਕੇਲ ਕਹਾਨੀ ॥੫॥
karat kaam kee kel kahaanee |5|They continued to tell the story of (the whole night) Kam-Keli. 5.
ਅਟਕਿ ਗਈ ਅਬਲਾ ਤਿਹ ਸੰਗਾ ॥
attak gee abalaa tih sangaa |(She) Abla stuck with him
ਰੰਗਿਤ ਭਈ ਉਹੀ ਕੇ ਰੰਗਾ ॥
rangit bhee uhee ke rangaa |And dyed in the same color.
ਤਾ ਕਹ ਐਸ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਯੋ ॥
taa kah aais prabodh drirraayo |Explained to him like this and
ਆਪੁ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਿ ਚਲਿ ਸੀਸ ਝੁਕਾਯੋ ॥੬॥
aap nripeh chal sees jhukaayo |6|(Then) he went and bowed his head in front of the king.
ਜੋ ਮੁਹਿ ਭਯੋ ਸੁਪਨ ਸੁਨੁ ਰਾਈ ॥
jo muhi bhayo supan sun raaee |(and began to say) O Rajan! I had (a) dream,
ਸੋਵਤ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਜਗਾਇ ਪਠਾਈ ॥
sovat rudr jagaae patthaaee |(He) listen. Shiva has awakened (me) asleep and sent (to you).
