ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਉਤੈ ਮੀਤ ਤਿਨ ਲਿਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਈ ॥
autai meet tin liyo bulaaee |There she (Kumari) called her friend
ਕਾਮ ਰੀਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤੁਪਜਾਈ ॥
kaam reet kar preetupajaaee |And expressed love by performing sexual games.
ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਕੁਵਤਿ ਸੇਜ ਚਰਕਾਵੈ ॥
kar kar kuvat sej charakaavai |With force ('Kuvati') (on friction) the manji began to move
ਏਕ ਹਾਥ ਤਨ ਘੰਟ ਬਜਾਵੈ ॥੧੧॥
ek haath tan ghantt bajaavai |11|(And the maiden) started ringing the bell with one hand (so that the voice of Manji would not be heard).11.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਰਤਿ ਕੀਨੀ ॥
bhaat bhaat taa kau rat keenee |He played sports in many ways.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜੜ ਧੁਨਿ ਘੰਟਾ ਕੀ ਚੀਨੀ ॥
nrip jarr dhun ghanttaa kee cheenee |The foolish king mistook it for the sound of the hour.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਕਛੂ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
bhed abhed kachhoo neh paayo |(He) did not know anything indistinct
ਇਹ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕਸ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥੧੨॥
eih duhitaa kas karam kamaayo |12|What kind of karma has this daughter earned. 12.
ਤਾ ਸੌ ਭੋਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਿਧਿ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
taa sau bhog bahut bidh keeno |Had a lot of fun with him
ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਆਸਨ ਕਹ ਦੀਨੋ ॥
lapatt lapatt aasan kah deeno |And gave asanas by wrapping laps.
ਚੁੰਬਨ ਆਲਿੰਗਨ ਕੀਨੇ ਤਿਨ ॥
chunban aalingan keene tin |They kissed and hugged
ਭੇਦ ਨ ਲਹਿਯੋ ਮੂੜ ਰਾਜੈ ਇਨ ॥੧੩॥
bhed na lahiyo moorr raajai in |13|And this foolish king did not know the difference. 13.
ਕਾਮ ਕੇਲ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਬਹੁ ਕਿਯੋ ॥
kaam kel taa sau bahu kiyo |She (Kumari) played with him a lot.
ਬਹੁਰੋ ਛੋਰ ਦ੍ਵਾਰ ਕਹ ਦਿਯੋ ॥
bahuro chhor dvaar kah diyo |Then opened the door.
ਪਠੈ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਪਿਤਾ ਬੁਲਾਇਯੋ ॥
patthai sahacharee pitaa bulaaeiyo |He sent Sakhi and called his father.
ਮਨ ਮੈ ਅਧਿਕ ਜਾਰ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੧੪॥
man mai adhik jaar dukh paayo |14|(by doing which) the friend got a lot of pain in his heart. 14.
ਯਾ ਕੌ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਗਹਿ ਲੈਹੈ ॥
yaa kau pitaa mohi geh laihai |(The man started thinking in his mind that) his father will catch me
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਹਮੈ ਜਮਪੁਰੀ ਪਠੈਹੈ ॥
bahur hamai jamapuree patthaihai |And then will send me to Yamlok.
ਚਿੰਤਾਤੁਰ ਥਰਹਰਿ ਕੰਪਾਵੈ ॥
chintaatur tharahar kanpaavai |He began to tremble anxiously
ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਕਦਲੀ ਕਹ ਬਾਤ ਡੁਲਾਵੈ ॥੧੫॥
jayon kadalee kah baat ddulaavai |15|As the wind moves the banana plant. 15.
ਜਾਰ ਬਾਚ ॥
jaar baach |Dude said
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਮੋਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਰਾਖਿ ਅਬ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
more praan raakh ab leejai |Now save my life
ਨਾਹਕ ਮੁਹਿ ਨ ਅਜਾਏ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
naahak muhi na ajaae keejai |And don't let me end in vain.
ਮੋਰੋ ਮੂੰਡਿ ਕਾਟ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਦੈਹੈ ॥
moro moondd kaatt nrip daihai |The king will cut off my head
ਕਾਪਰਦੀ ਕੇ ਕੰਠ ਚੜੈਹੈ ॥੧੬॥
kaaparadee ke kantth charraihai |16|And will put it in the neck of Shiva ('Kapardi').16.
ਸੁਤਾ ਬਾਚ ॥
sutaa baach |Daughter said

ਤਿਨ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤਰੁਨ ਨ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਕਰੋ ॥
tin kahiyo tarun na chintaa karo |He said, O youth! don't worry
ਧੀਰਜ ਚਿਤ ਆਪਨੇ ਧਰੋ ॥
dheeraj chit aapane dharo |Be patient in your mind.
ਤੇਰੋ ਅਬ ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਉਬਰਿਹੌ ॥
tero ab mai praan ubarihau |I save your life now
ਪਿਤ ਹੇਰਤ ਤੋ ਕੌ ਪਤਿ ਕਰਿਹੌ ॥੧੭॥
pit herat to kau pat karihau |17|And when I see my father, I accept you as my husband. 17.
ਆਪ ਪਿਤਾ ਤਨ ਜਾਇ ਉਚਰੀ ॥
aap pitaa tan jaae ucharee |She (Kumari) went to her father and started saying
ਮੋ ਪਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਅਧਿਕ ਸਿਵ ਕਰੀ ॥
mo par kripaa adhik siv karee |That Shiva ji has shown me a lot of grace.
ਨਿਜੁ ਕਰ ਪਕਰਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਪਤਿ ਦੀਨੋ ॥
nij kar pakar mohi pat deeno |He has given me a husband by holding his hand
ਹਮ ਪਰ ਅਧਿਕ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹ ਕੀਨੋ ॥੧੮॥
ham par adhik anugrah keeno |18|And has shown me a lot of mercy. 18.
ਚਲਹੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਤਹ ਤਾਹਿ ਦਿਖਾਊ ॥
chalahu pitaa tah taeh dikhaaoo |Oh father! Come on, she'll show you
ਤਾ ਸੌ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਸੁ ਬ੍ਯਾਹ ਕਰਾਊ ॥
taa sau bahur su bayaah karaaoo |And then marry him.
ਬਾਹਿ ਪਕਰਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੌ ਲ੍ਯਾਈ ॥
baeh pakar raajaa kau layaaee |(She) took the king by the arm
ਆਨਿ ਜਾਰ ਸੌ ਦਿਯੋ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥੧੯॥
aan jaar sau diyo dikhaaee |19|And came and showed (his) friend. 19.
ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਪਿਤੁ ਕਹਿਯੋ ॥
dhanay dhanay taa kau pit kahiyo |The father called him blessed
ਕਰ ਸੌ ਕਰਿ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕੌ ਗਹਿਯੋ ॥
kar sau kar duhitaa kau gahiyo |And took his daughter's hand with his hand.
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਟਾਛ ਅਧਿਕ ਸਿਵ ਕੀਨੋ ॥
kripaa kattaachh adhik siv keeno |(The king said) Lord Shiva has shown great mercy.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਰ ਉਤਮ ਤੁਹਿ ਦੀਨੋ ॥੨੦॥
taa te bar utam tuhi deeno |20|That is why I have given you the best boon. 20.
ਤੁਮ ਪਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਜੁ ਸਿਵ ਜੂ ਕੀਨੀ ॥
tum par kripaa ju siv joo keenee |The grace that Shiva has bestowed upon you,
ਹਮਹੂੰ ਆਜੁ ਤਾਹਿ ਤੁਹਿ ਦੀਨੀ ॥
hamahoon aaj taeh tuhi deenee |(Therefore) I hand you over to him today.
ਬੋਲਿ ਦਿਜਨ ਕਹ ਬ੍ਯਾਹ ਕਰਾਯੋ ॥
bol dijan kah bayaah karaayo |(The king) invited the Brahmins and married them.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਮੂੜ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੨੧॥
bhed abhed moorr neh paayo |21|The fool (king) could not reconcile the differences. 21.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਤਹ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਬ੍ਯਾਹ ਜਾਰ ਸੋ ਕੀਨ ॥
eih charitr tah chanchalaa bayaah jaar so keen |That woman married a man with this character.
ਪਿਤੁ ਹੂੰ ਲੈ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਦਈ ਸਕ੍ਯੋ ਨ ਛਲ ਜੜ ਚੀਨ ॥੨੨॥
pit hoon lai taa ko dee sakayo na chhal jarr cheen |22|The father took it and gave it to him. (He) could not understand the foolish trick. 22.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਤੇਰਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੧੩॥੪੦੯੬॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau terah charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |213|4096|afajoon|Here ends the 213th chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 213.4096. goes on

ਚਾਦਾ ਸਹਿਰ ਬਸਤ ਜਹ ਭਾਰੋ ॥
chaadaa sahir basat jah bhaaro |Where a big city named Chanda used to live
ਧਰਨੀ ਤਲ ਮਹਿ ਅਤਿ ਉਜਿਯਾਰੋ ॥
dharanee tal meh at ujiyaaro |(And who) was very popular on earth.
ਬਿਸੁਨ ਕੇਤੁ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਹ ਰਹਈ ॥
bisun ket raajaa tah rahee |A king named Bisan Ketu lived there
ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਸੁਚਿ ਬ੍ਰਤ ਖਗ ਕਹਈ ॥੧॥
karam dharam such brat khag kahee |1|Who was excellent in deeds, religion, purity, vows and sword. 1.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬੁੰਦੇਲ ਮਤੀ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ॥
sree bundel matee taa kee triy |He had a wife named Bundel Mati
ਜਾ ਮਹਿ ਬਸਤ ਸਦਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੋ ਜਿਯ ॥
jaa meh basat sadaa nrip ko jiy |In which the king's mind was always absorbed.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਲਜਾਰ ਮਤੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਤਿਹ ॥
sree gulajaar matee duhitaa tih |His daughter's name was Gulzar Mati.
ਕਹੂੰ ਨ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਜਗਤ ਮੈ ਸਮ ਜਿਹ ॥੨॥
kahoon na tarun jagat mai sam jih |2|There was no young woman like her in the world. 2.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਤਿਨ ਇਕ ਤਰੁਨ ਬਿਲੋਕਿਯੋ ਅਮਿਤ ਰੂਪ ਕੀ ਖਾਨਿ ॥
tin ik tarun bilokiyo amit roop kee khaan |He saw a young man of immense beauty.
ਲੀਨੋ ਸਦਨ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਕੈ ਰਮਤ ਭਈ ਰੁਚਿ ਮਾਨਿ ॥੩॥
leeno sadan bulaae kai ramat bhee ruch maan |3|Called (him) home and engaged with him with interest. 3.

ਤਾ ਸੌ ਲਪਟਿ ਕਰਤ ਰਸ ਭਈ ॥
taa sau lapatt karat ras bhee |She started to enjoy hugging him
ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਸਭਹੂੰ ਤਜਿ ਦਈ ॥
grih kee sudh sabhahoon taj dee |And forgot all the wisdom of the house.
ਨਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
nis din taa sau bhog kamaavai |Enjoying him day and night
ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਉਰ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੪॥
lapatt lapatt taa ke ur jaavai |4|And she wraps her arms around her neck. 4.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਤਰੁਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਤਰੁਨੀ ਤਰੁਨ ਬਾਢੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
tarun purakh tarunee tarun baadtee preet apaar |A young man and a young woman (being both) became very much in love.
