ਕੇਹਰਿ ਜਿਉ ਅਰੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਖੇਤ ਦੇਖਿ ਡਰੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਲਾਜ ਭਾਰਿ ਭਰੇ ਦਉਰਿ ਪਰੇ ਅਰਿਰਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੧੦੭੪॥
kehar jiau are kete khet dekh ddare kete laaj bhaar bhare daur pare ariraae kai |1074|Many have been eaten by the vultures and many have fallen down wounded, many are standing firmly like lion, many feel frightened in the war and many feeling shy and crying painfully are running away.1074.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਭੂਮਿ ਗਿਰੇ ਭਟ ਘਾਇਲ ਹੁਇ ਉਠ ਕੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੁਧ ਕੇ ਕਾਜ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥
bhoom gire bhatt ghaaeil hue utth kai fir judh ke kaaj padhaare |The wounded, getting up again are marching forward in order to fight
ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹਾ ਦੁਰ ਕੈ ਜੁ ਰਹੇ ਅਤਿ ਕੋਪ ਭਰੇ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਪੁਕਾਰੇ ॥
sayaam kahaa dur kai ju rahe at kop bhare ih bhaat pukaare |The poet says that those who were hiding, they are now getting enraged listening to the shouts
ਯੌ ਉਨ ਕੈ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਬੈਨ ਭਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਮੁਹਿ ਖਗ ਸੰਭਾਰੇ ॥
yau un kai mukh te sun bain bhayo har saamuhi khag sanbhaare |Hearing their talk, Krishna held firmly his sword and confronting them, cut off their heads
ਦਉਰ ਕੈ ਸੀਸ ਕਟੇ ਨ ਹਟੇ ਰਿਸ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਬੀਰ ਕੀ ਓਰਿ ਸਿਧਾਰੇ ॥੧੦੭੫॥
daur kai sees katte na hatte ris kai balibeer kee or sidhaare |1075|Even then they did not go back and as headless trunks moved towards Balram.1075.
ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਤਬੈ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਅਸਿ ਲੈ ਲਲਕਾਰ ਪਰੇ ॥
maar hee maar pukaar tabai ran mai as lai lalakaar pare |Shouting “kill, kill”, the warriors taking up their swords, started fighting
ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਘੇਰਿ ਲਯੋ ਚਹੁੰ ਓਰ ਤੈ ਮਲਹਿ ਕੀ ਪਿਰ ਸੋਭ ਧਰੇ ॥
har raam ko gher layo chahun or tai maleh kee pir sobh dhare |They besieged Balram and Krishna from all the four sides like the arena of the wrestlers
ਧਨੁ ਬਾਨ ਜਬੈ ਕਰਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਲਯੋ ਲਖਿ ਕਾਤੁਰ ਖੇਤ ਹੂੰ ਤੇ ਬਿਡਰੇ ॥
dhan baan jabai kar sayaam layo lakh kaatur khet hoon te biddare |When Krishna took his bow and arrow in his hand, the warriors then feeling helpless began to flee away from the battlefield
ਰੰਗ ਭੂਮਿ ਕੋ ਮਾਨੋ ਉਝਾਰ ਭਯੋ ਚਲੇ ਕਉਤੁਕ ਦੇਖਨਹਾਰ ਘਰੇ ॥੧੦੭੬॥
rang bhoom ko maano ujhaar bhayo chale kautuk dekhanahaar ghare |1076|The field seemed deserted and desolate and seeing such a pageant, began to return to their homes.1076.
ਜੇ ਭਟ ਲੈ ਅਸਿ ਹਾਥਨ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਕੋਪ ਭਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਊਪਰ ਧਾਵੈ ॥
je bhatt lai as haathan mai at kop bhare har aoopar dhaavai |The warrior who attacks Sri Krishna with a sword in his hand and filled with anger.
ਕਉਤਕ ਸੋ ਦਿਖ ਕੈ ਸਿਵ ਕੇ ਗਨ ਆਨੰਦ ਸੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੰਗਲ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
kautak so dikh kai siv ke gan aanand so mil mangal gaavai |Whenever any warrior taking his sword in his hand, falls upon Krishna, then seeing this spectacle, the ganas i.e. the attendants of Shiva feel pleased and began to sing songs of joy
ਕੋਊ ਕਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਜਿਤ ਹੈ ਕੋਊ ਇਉ ਕਹਿ ਏ ਜਿਤ ਹੈ ਬਹਸਾਵੈ ॥
koaoo kahai har joo jit hai koaoo iau keh e jit hai bahasaavai |Someone says that Krishna will win and someone says that those warriors will gain victory
ਰਾਰਿ ਕਰੈ ਤਬ ਲਉ ਜਬ ਲਉ ਉਨ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਨ ਭੂਮਿ ਗਿਰਾਵੈ ॥੧੦੭੭॥
raar karai tab lau jab lau un kau har maar na bhoom giraavai |1077|They quarrel till that time, when Krishna kills and throws them on the ground.1077.
ਕਬਿਤੁ ॥

ਬਡੇ ਈ ਬਨੈਤ ਬੀਰ ਸਬੈ ਪਖਰੈਤ ਗਜ ਦਲ ਸੋ ਅਰੈਤ ਧਾਏ ਤੁਰੰਗਨ ਨਚਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
badde ee banait beer sabai pakharait gaj dal so arait dhaae turangan nachaae kai |Wearing large-sized armour alongwith the elephants, the mighty warriors, causing their horses to dance, marched forward
ਜੁਧ ਮੈ ਅਡੋਲ ਸ੍ਵਾਮ ਕਾਰਜੀ ਅਮੋਲ ਅਤਿ ਗੋਲ ਤੇ ਨਿਕਸਿ ਲਰੇ ਦੁੰਦਭਿ ਬਜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
judh mai addol svaam kaarajee amol at gol te nikas lare dundabh bajaae kai |They stand firm in the battlefield and ofr the interest of their lords, they came out of their enclousers and playing on small drums,
ਸੈਥਨ ਸੰਭਾਰ ਕੈ ਨਿਕਾਰ ਕੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਮਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਉਚਾਰਿ ਐਸੇ ਪਰੇ ਰਨਿ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
saithan sanbhaar kai nikaar kai kripaan maar maar hee uchaar aaise pare ran aae kai |They reached the battlefield, holding firmly their daggers and swords and shouting "kill, kill"
ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਸੋ ਲਰੇ ਤੇ ਵੈ ਠਉਰ ਤੇ ਨ ਟਰੇ ਗਿਰ ਭੂਮਿ ਹੂੰ ਮੈ ਪਰੇ ਉਠਿ ਅਰੇ ਘਾਇ ਖਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੧੦੭੮॥
har joo so lare te vai tthaur te na ttare gir bhoom hoon mai pare utth are ghaae khaae kai |1078|They are fighting with Krishna, but are not receding back from their places, the are falling down on the erth, but een receiving wounds they are getting up again.1078.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਕੋਪ ਭਰੇ ਅਰਰਾਇ ਪਰੇ ਨ ਡਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਹਥਿਯਾਰ ਕਰੇ ਹੈ ॥
kop bhare araraae pare na ddare har siau hathiyaar kare hai |In anger they are crying out and are fighting fearlessly with their weapons
ਘਾਇ ਭਰੇ ਬਹੁ ਸ੍ਰਉਨ ਝਰੇ ਅਸਿ ਪਾਨਿ ਧਰੇ ਬਲ ਕੈ ਜੁ ਅਰੇ ਹੈ ॥
ghaae bhare bahu sraun jhare as paan dhare bal kai ju are hai |Their bodies are full of wounds and from them the blood is flowing, even then, holding swords in their hands, they are fighting with full strength
ਮੂਸਲ ਲੈ ਬਲਦੇਵ ਤਬੈ ਸਬੈ ਚਾਵਰ ਜਿਉ ਰਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਛਰੇ ਹੈ ॥
moosal lai baladev tabai sabai chaavar jiau ran maeh chhare hai |At the same time Balarama took the mohala (in his hand) and scattered (them) like rice in the field.
ਫੇਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ ਕੀਯੋ ਹਲ ਸੋ ਮਰਿ ਭੂਮਿ ਗਿਰੇ ਨਹੀ ਸਾਸ ਭਰੇ ਹੈ ॥੧੦੭੯॥
fer prahaar keeyo hal so mar bhoom gire nahee saas bhare hai |1079|Balram has thrashed them like rice with pestale and again struck them with his plough on account of which they are lying on the ground.1079.
