ਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਨੇਕ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਡਾਰੈ ॥੧੪੭੦॥
satr anek maar hee ddaarai |1470|Taking his bow and arrows in his hands, he killed many enemies.1470.
ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਕਰਮ ਇਕ ਰਾਛਸ ਨਾਮਾ ॥
kraoor karam ik raachhas naamaa |
ਜਿਨ ਜੀਤੇ ਆਗੇ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮਾ ॥
jin jeete aage sangraamaa |There was a demon named Krurkaram, who had conquered many wars
ਸੋ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਗਯੋ ॥
so tab hee nrip saamuhe gayo |
ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਜੂਝ ਦੁਹੁਨ ਕੋ ਭਯੋ ॥੧੪੭੧॥
at hee joojh duhun ko bhayo |1471|He went before Kharag Singh and both the heroes were engaged in a terrible war.1471.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਆਯੁਧ ਲੈ ਸਬ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਵਹ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਸੰਗ ਅਰਿਓ ਹੈ ॥
aayudh lai sab hee aapane jab hee vah bhoopat sang ario hai |
ਜੁਧ ਅਨੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਕੀਯੋ ਰਨ ਕੀ ਛਿਤ ਤੇ ਕੋਊ ਨਹਿ ਟਰਿਓ ਹੈ ॥
judh anek prakaar keeyo ran kee chhit te koaoo neh ttario hai |When, taking his weapons, he firmly resisted the king, he fought in many ways and no one retraced his steps from the battlefield
ਤੌ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਲੈ ਕਰ ਮੈ ਅਸਿ ਕੋ ਰਿਪੁ ਮੂੰਡ ਕਟਿਓ ਗਿਰ ਭੂਮਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਹੈ ॥
tau nrip lai kar mai as ko rip moondd kattio gir bhoom pario hai |The king taking his sword in his hand, killed the enemy and his head fell on the earth
ਦੇਹ ਛੁਟਿਯੋ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਪ ਹਟਿਓ ਨਿਜ ਓਠ ਕੇ ਦਾਤਨ ਸੋ ਪਕਰਿਓ ਹੈ ॥੧੪੭੨॥
deh chhuttiyo nahee kop hattio nij otth ke daatan so pakario hai |1472|Through he had breathed his last, but his anger did not subside even then, he had pressed his lip within his teeth.1472.

ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਕਰਮ ਕੋ ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਜਬ ਮਾਰਿਓ ਰਨ ਠੌਰ ॥

ਅਸੁਰਨ ਕੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਹੁਤੀ ਦਾਨਵ ਨਿਕਸਿਓ ਔਰ ॥੧੪੭੩॥
asuran kee sainaa hutee daanav nikasio aauar |1473|When Karurkaram was knocked down in the battlefield by Kharag Singh, then another demon came out of the army of demons.1473.

ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਦੈਤ ਜਿਹ ਨਾਮ ਵਡੋ ਦੈਤ ਬਲਵੰਡ ਅਤਿ ॥
kraoor dait jih naam vaddo dait balavandd at |This demon named Karurdaitya was extremely powerful, he had earlier fought in several battles
ਆਗੇ ਬਹੁ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਲਰਿਓ ਅਰਿਓ ਨਾਹਿਨ ਡਰਿਓ ॥੧੪੭੪॥
aage bahu sangraam lario ario naahin ddario |1474|He confronted the king with firmness and did not fear even slightly.1474.

ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਕਰਮ ਬਧ ਨੈਨ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਓ ॥
kraoor karam badh nain nihaario |
ਤਬ ਹੀ ਅਪਨੋ ਖੜਗ ਸੰਭਾਰਿਓ ॥
tab hee apano kharrag sanbhaario |When he saw the killing of Karurkaram with his own eyes, he held up his sword
ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਦੈਤ ਰਿਸਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਪਰ ਧਾਯੋ ॥
kraoor dait ris nrip par dhaayo |
ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਲ ਮੇਘ ਉਮਡਾਯੋ ॥੧੪੭੫॥
maano kaal megh umaddaayo |1475|Now Karurdaitya fell upon the king, getting enraged, and it seemed that the death-like cloud had gushed out.1475.
ਆਵਤ ਹੀ ਤਿਹ ਭੂਪ ਪਚਾਰਿਓ ॥
aavat hee tih bhoop pachaario |
ਜਾਹੁ ਕਹਾ ਮੁਝ ਬੰਧੁ ਪਛਾਰਿਓ ॥
jaahu kahaa mujh bandh pachhaario |On coming, he challenged the king, “Where are you going after killing my brother?
ਹਉ ਤੁਮ ਸੋ ਅਬ ਜੁਧ ਮਚੈ ਹੋ ॥
hau tum so ab judh machai ho |
ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਗਯੋ ਜਹਿ ਤੋਹਿ ਪਠੈ ਹੋ ॥੧੪੭੬॥
bhraat gayo jeh tohi patthai ho |1476|Now I shall fight with you and shall dispatch you there where my brother has gone.”1476.
ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਤਬ ਖੜਗ ਸੰਭਾਰਿਓ ॥
yau keh kai tab kharrag sanbhaario |
ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਬਲ ਕੋਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਿਓ ॥
at prachandd bal kop prahaario |Saying this, he held up his sword and getting enraged, he struck a terrible blow
ਭੂਪਤਿ ਲਖਿਓ ਕਾਟਿ ਅਸਿ ਦੀਨੋ ॥
bhoopat lakhio kaatt as deeno |
ਸੋਊ ਮਾਰਿ ਰਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਲੀਨੋ ॥੧੪੭੭॥
soaoo maar ran bheetar leeno |1477|The king saw this and cutting his sword, he knocked him also in the field.1477.

ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਕਰਮ ਅਰੁ ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਦੈਤ ਦੋਊ ਗਏ ਜਮ ਧਾਮਿ ॥
kraoor karam ar kraoor dait doaoo ge jam dhaam |Karurdaitya and Karurkarma both reached the abode of Yama
ਸੈਨਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਲੈ ਘੇਰਿਓ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮਿ ॥੧੪੭੮॥
sainaa tin kee sasatr lai gherio nrip sangraam |1478|The king taking his weapons, besieged their army in the battlefield.1478.

ਰੋਸ ਕੀਓ ਤਿਨ ਹੂੰ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਜੋਉ ਦੈਤ ਬਚੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਊਪਰ ਧਾਏ ॥
ros keeo tin hoon man mai joau dait bache nrip aoopar dhaae |The demons who had survived, fell upon the king
ਬਾਨ ਕਮਾਨ ਗਦਾ ਬਰਛੀ ਅਗਨਾਯੁਧ ਲੈ ਕਰਿ ਕੋਪ ਬਢਾਏ ॥
baan kamaan gadaa barachhee aganaayudh lai kar kop badtaae |They had arrows, swords, maces, lances and fire-arms in their hands
ਤੌ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਤੀਰ ਸਰਾਸਨੁ ਲੈ ਸਭ ਆਵਤ ਬਾਟ ਮੈ ਕਾਟਿ ਗਿਰਾਏ ॥
tau nrip teer saraasan lai sabh aavat baatt mai kaatt giraae |The king, with his bow and arrows, chopped them midway and
ਆਪਨੇ ਕਾਢਿ ਨਿਖੰਗਹੁ ਤੇ ਸਰ ਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਕੇ ਉਰ ਬੀਚ ਲਗਾਏ ॥੧੪੭੯॥
aapane kaadt nikhangahu te sar satran ke ur beech lagaae |1479|Taking the arrows out of his quiver, pierced their chests.1479.

ਤਬ ਸਭ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਭਾਜ ਕੈ ਗਏ ॥
tab sabh satr bhaaj kai ge |
ਕੋਊ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਤ ਨ ਪਏ ॥
koaoo sanamukh hot na pe |Then all the enemies ran away and none of them stayed before him
ਅਧਿਕ ਦੈਤ ਜਮਲੋਕਿ ਪਠਾਏ ॥
adhik dait jamalok patthaae |
ਜੀਅਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਰਨ ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿ ਪਰਾਏ ॥੧੪੮੦॥
jeeat rahe ran tayaag paraae |1480|Many demons were killed and those who survived, they ran away the war-arena.1480.

ਭਾਜ ਗਏ ਸਬ ਦੈਤ ਜਬੈ ਤਬ ਭੂਪ ਰਿਸਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਸਰ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
bhaaj ge sab dait jabai tab bhoop risio har ko sar maare |When all the demons ran away, the king, in great fury,
ਲਾਗਤ ਹੀ ਕਵਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਤਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੋ ਚੀਰ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥
laagat hee kav sayaam kahai tan sree jadubeer ko cheer padhaare |Showered his arrows on Krishna, which pierced his body and came out from the other side,
ਬੇਧਿ ਕੈ ਔਰਨ ਕੇ ਤਨ ਕੋ ਪੁਨਿ ਔਰਨ ਜਾਇ ਲਗੇ ਸੁ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥
bedh kai aauaran ke tan ko pun aauaran jaae lage su sanghaare |And then piercing the bodies of other persons, they penetrated into bodies of others
ਦੇਖਹੁ ਪਉਰਖ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਅਬ ਆਪ ਹੈ ਏਕ ਅਨੇਕ ਬਿਦਾਰੇ ॥੧੪੮੧॥
dekhahu paurakh bhoopat ko ab aap hai ek anek bidaare |1481|Look at the courage of the king, though he himself is alone, but he is killing many.1481.
