ਬੇਗਮ ਕੀ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਰੁਚਿ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
begam kee taa sau ruch laagee |Begum got interested in him
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਨੀਂਦ ਭੂਖ ਸਭ ਭਾਗੀ ॥
jaa te neend bhookh sabh bhaagee |Because of which (he) became sleepless and hungry.
ਦੇਖਿ ਗਈ ਜਬ ਤੇ ਤਿਹ ਧਾਮਾ ॥
dekh gee jab te tih dhaamaa |Since (she) had gone home after seeing him,
ਤਬ ਤੇ ਔਰ ਸੁਹਾਤ ਨ ਬਾਮਾ ॥੪॥
tab te aauar suhaat na baamaa |4|Since then, that woman did not like anything else. 4.
ਹਿਤੂ ਜਾਨ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਬੁਲਾਈ ॥
hitoo jaan sahacharee bulaaee |Knowing the truth, he called the maid
ਭੇਦ ਭਾਖਿ ਸਭ ਤਹਾ ਪਠਾਈ ॥
bhed bhaakh sabh tahaa patthaaee |(And sent him there) after telling him all the secrets.
ਹਮੈ ਸਾਹ ਸੁਤ ਜੁ ਤੈ ਮਿਲੈ ਹੈ ॥
hamai saah sut ju tai milai hai |(and also said) if you will give me the son of Shah,
ਜੋ ਧਨ ਮੁਖ ਮੰਗਿ ਹੈਂ ਸੋ ਪੈ ਹੈਂ ॥੫॥
jo dhan mukh mang hain so pai hain |5|So, whatever you ask for money, you will get it. 5.
ਸਖੀ ਪਵਨ ਕੇ ਭੇਸ ਸਿਧਾਈ ॥
sakhee pavan ke bhes sidhaaee |Sakhi went with the speed of the wind
ਪਲਕ ਨ ਬਿਤੀ ਸਾਹ ਕੇ ਆਈ ॥
palak na bitee saah ke aaee |And not even a moment passed that she came to Shah.
ਸਾਹ ਪੂਤ ਕਹ ਕਿਯਾ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮਾ ॥
saah poot kah kiyaa pranaamaa |(He) saluted the son of the Shah
ਬੈਠੀ ਜਾਇ ਸੁਘਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਧਾਮਾ ॥੬॥
baitthee jaae sughar tih dhaamaa |6|And that beauty sat in his (Shah's) house. 6.
ਤੁਮਰੋ ਨਾਮ ਕਹਾ ਪਹਿਚਨਿਯਤ ॥
tumaro naam kahaa pahichaniyat |(asked) Do you recognize your name?
ਕਵਨ ਦੇਸ ਕੇ ਬਾਸੀ ਜਨਿਯਤ ॥
kavan des ke baasee janiyat |And of which country shall I consider you to be a resident?
ਸਕਲ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਨਿਜ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਸੁਨਾਵਹੁ ॥
sakal brithaa nij pratham sunaavahu |First tell your whole story
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵਹੁ ॥੭॥
bahur kuar kee sej suhaavahu |7|And then increase the beauty of the sage of Kumari. 7.
ਸੁਨੀ ਸਖੀ ਮਦ੍ਰ ਦੇਸ ਹਮ ਰਹਹੀ ॥
sunee sakhee madr des ham rahahee |(He started saying) O Sakhi! Listen, I live in the motherland
ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਕੇਤੁ ਹਮ ਕੌ ਜਨ ਕਹਹੀ ॥
dhoomr ket ham kau jan kahahee |And people call me Dhumra Ketu.
ਸੌਦਾ ਹਿਤ ਆਏ ਇਹ ਦੇਸਾ ॥
sauadaa hit aae ih desaa |(I) have come to this country to do business
ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸ ਕੋ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਨਰੇਸਾ ॥੮॥
des des ko nirakh naresaa |8|Seeing the kings of the country. 8.
ਬਤਿਯਨ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਤਾਹਿ ਬਿਰਮਾਇ ॥
batiyan pratham taeh biramaae |At first he was fed up with things
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਲੋਭ ਦਿਖਾਇ ॥
bhaat bhaat tin lobh dikhaae |And then showed greed for all kinds of things.
ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਤ੍ਯੋਂ ਲੈ ਆਈ ਤਿਹ ਤਹਾ ॥
jayon tayon lai aaee tih tahaa |How did he get there?
ਮਾਰਗ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਬਿਲੋਕਤ ਜਹਾ ॥੯॥
maarag kuar bilokat jahaa |9|Where Kumari was watching (his) way. 9.
ਜੋ ਧਨ ਕਹਾ ਸੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਤਿਹ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
jo dhan kahaa sundr tih deenaa |Sundari gave the money that she had said to the maid
ਕੰਠ ਲਗਾਇ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੋ ਲੀਨਾ ॥
kantth lagaae mitr so leenaa |And embraced that friend.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੀ ਕੈਫ ਮੰਗਾਈ ॥
bhaat bhaat kee kaif mangaaee |(He) ordered various kinds of liquor
ਏਕ ਖਾਟ ਚੜਿ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਚੜਾਈ ॥੧੦॥
ek khaatt charr duhoon charraaee |10|And both of them drank on one bed. 10.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਨ ਕੈਫ ਚੜਾਵਹਿ ॥
bhaat bhaat tan kaif charraaveh |Started drinking different types of alcohol
ਮਿਲਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਗੀਤ ਮਧੁਰ ਧੁਨਿ ਗਾਵਹਿ ॥
mil mil geet madhur dhun gaaveh |And together they began to sing songs in a melodious tune.
ਬਿਬਿਧ ਬਿਧਿਨ ਤਨ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਲਾਸਾ ॥
bibidh bidhin tan karat bilaasaa |(They) started doing various kinds of sex-sports.
ਨੈਕੁ ਨ ਕਰੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਤ੍ਰਾਸਾ ॥੧੧॥
naik na karai nripat ko traasaa |11|(They) were not accepting the fear of the king at all. 11.
ਛੈਲਿਹਿ ਛੈਲ ਨ ਛੋਰਾ ਜਾਈ ॥
chhailihi chhail na chhoraa jaaee |Chabila (Shah) was not separated from the youth (Kumari).
ਨਿਸੁ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਖਤ ਕੰਠ ਲਗਾਈ ॥
nis din raakhat kantth lagaaee |And she used to hug him day and night.
ਜਬ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਆਖੇਟ ਸਿਧਾਵੈ ॥
jab kabahoon aakhett sidhaavai |If you ever go hunting,
ਏਕ ਅੰਬਾਰੀ ਤਾਹਿ ਚੜਾਵੈ ॥੧੨॥
ek anbaaree taeh charraavai |12|So she would have climbed him also in a single ambari. 12.
ਤਹੀ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕਹ ਕਰੈ ॥
tahee kaam kreerraa kah karai |There (sitting) they used to play sexual games
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਤੇ ਨੈਕੁ ਨ ਡਰੈ ॥
maat pitaa te naik na ddarai |And they were not afraid of their parents at all.
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਚੜਾ ਸਿਕਾਰਾ ॥
eik din raajaa charraa sikaaraa |One day the king went hunting
ਸੰਗ ਲਏ ਮਿਹਰਿਯੈ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥੧੩॥
sang le mihariyai apaaraa |13|And took many maidservants with him. 13.
ਬੇਗਮ ਸੋਊ ਸਿਕਾਰ ਸਿਧਾਈ ॥
begam soaoo sikaar sidhaaee |That Begum also went to play hunting
ਏਕ ਅੰਬਾਰੀ ਤਾਹਿ ਚੜਾਈ ॥
ek anbaaree taeh charraaee |And took him (the lover) also in the same ambari.
ਏਕ ਸਖੀ ਤਿਹ ਚੜਤ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
ek sakhee tih charrat nihaaraa |A Sakhi saw him climbing
ਜਾਇ ਭੂਪ ਸੋ ਭੇਦ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥੧੪॥
jaae bhoop so bhed uchaaraa |14|And went and told the whole secret to the king. 14.
ਸੁਨਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਬਾਤ ਚਿਤ ਮੋ ਰਾਖੀ ॥
sun nrip baat chit mo raakhee |The king kept it in his heart after listening to it
ਔਰਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਨ ਭਾਖੀ ॥
aauar naar so pragatt na bhaakhee |And don't tell any other woman.
ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕੋ ਜਬ ਗਜ ਨਿਕਟਾਯੋ ॥
duhitaa ko jab gaj nikattaayo |When the son's elephant came near,
ਤਬ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਪਿਤੁ ਨਿਕਟ ਬੁਲਾਯੌ ॥੧੫॥
tab taa ko pit nikatt bulaayau |15|Then the father called him near. 15.
