ਸੁਤ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੇ ਯੌ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਆਪਨੇ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਬਢਾਯੋ ॥

sut kaanrah ke yau bateeyaa sun kai aapane chit mai at krodh badtaayo |

Lord Krishna's son (Pradumana) got very angry on hearing this.

ਬਾਨ ਕਮਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਗਦਾ ਗਹਿ ਕੈ ਅਰਿ ਕੇ ਬਧ ਕਾਰਨ ਧਾਯੋ ॥

baan kamaan kripaan gadaa geh kai ar ke badh kaaran dhaayo |

Hearing these words, the son of Krishna got extremely enraged and catching hold of bow, arrows and mace moved to kill the enemy

ਧਾਮ ਜਹਾ ਤਿਹ ਬੈਰੀ ਕੋ ਥੇ ਤਿਹ ਦ੍ਵਾਰ ਪੈ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ਬੈਨ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥

dhaam jahaa tih bairee ko the tih dvaar pai jaae kai bain sunaayo |

Where that enemy's house was, go to his door and recite (these) words,

ਜਾਹਿ ਕਉ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਮੈ ਡਾਰ ਦਯੋ ਅਬ ਸੋ ਤੁਹਿ ਸੋ ਲਰਬੇ ਕਹੁ ਆਯੋ ॥੨੦੨੬॥

jaeh kau sindh mai ddaar dayo ab so tuhi so larabe kahu aayo |2026|

He began to challenge the enemy on reaching his place, “The one whom you had thrown into the sea, has now come to fight with you.2026.

ਯੌ ਜਬ ਬੈਨ ਕਹੁ ਸੁਤ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਤੋ ਸੰਬਰ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਗਦਾ ਗਹਿ ਆਯੋ ॥

yau jab bain kahu sut sayaam to sanbar sasatr gadaa geh aayo |

When the son of Krishna uttered these words, then Shamber came forward holding his weapons including the mace

ਜੈਸੇ ਕਹੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਜੁਧਹਿ ਕੀ ਤਿਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੋ ਤਾਹੀ ਨੇ ਜੁਧ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥

jaise kahee bidh judheh kee tih bhaat so taahee ne judh machaayo |

He began the fight, keeping before him the norms of fighting

ਆਪ ਭਜਿਯੋ ਨਹਿ ਤਾ ਭੂਅ ਤੇ ਨਹਿ ਵਾਹਿ ਕਉ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਦੈ ਪੈਗੁ ਭਜਾਯੋ ॥

aap bhajiyo neh taa bhooa te neh vaeh kau traas dai paig bhajaayo |

He did not run away from the battle and began to frighten Pradyumna in order to restrain him from fighting

ਆਹਵ ਯਾ ਬਿਧਿ ਹੋਤ ਭਯੋ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤ ਸੋ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥੨੦੨੭॥

aahav yaa bidh hot bhayo keh kai ih bhaat so sayaam sunaayo |2027|

According to the poet Shyam, in this way, this battle continued there.2027.

ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਜਬ ਮਾਰ ਮਚੀ ਅਰਿ ਜਾਤ ਭਯੋ ਨਭਿ ਮੈ ਛਲੁ ਕੈ ਕੈ ॥

at hee tih tthaa jab maar machee ar jaat bhayo nabh mai chhal kai kai |

When there was a lot of fighting at that place, (then) the enemy escaped and went to the sky.

ਲੈ ਕਰਿ ਪਾਹਨ ਬ੍ਰਿਸਟ ਕਰੀ ਸੁਤ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕੇ ਪੈ ਅਤਿ ਕ੍ਰੁਧਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਕੈ ॥

lai kar paahan brisatt karee sut sayaam ke pai at krudhat hvai kai |

When the dreadful fighting continued there, the enemy deceptively reached the sky and from there he showered stones on the son of Krishna

ਸੋ ਇਨ ਪਾਹਨ ਬਿਅਰਥ ਕਰੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਸਰ ਏਕਹਿ ਏਕ ਲਗੈ ਹੈ ॥

so in paahan biarath kare tin ko sar ekeh ek lagai hai |

He (Pradhuman) shot those stones one by one with an arrow.

ਸਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਸੋ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਤਨ ਬੇਧ ਕੈ ਭੂਮਿ ਡਰਿਓ ਅਤਿ ਰੋਸ ਬਢੈ ਕੈ ॥੨੦੨੮॥

sasatran so tih ko tan bedh kai bhoom ddario at ros badtai kai |2028|

Pradyumna made those stones harmless with his arrows by intercepting them and pierced his body with his weapons, causing him to fall on the ground.2028.

ਅਸਿ ਐਚਿ ਝਟਾਕ ਲਯੋ ਕਟਿ ਤੇ ਸਿਰਿ ਸੰਬਰ ਕੈ ਸੁ ਝਟਾਕ ਦੇ ਝਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

as aaich jhattaak layo katt te sir sanbar kai su jhattaak de jhaariyo |

Pradyumna struck his sword with a jerk and cutting the head of Shambar threw it down

ਦੇਵਨ ਕੇ ਗਨ ਹੇਰਤ ਜੇ ਤਿਨ ਪਉਰਖ ਦੇਖ ਕੈ ਧੰਨਿ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

devan ke gan herat je tin paurakh dekh kai dhan uchaariyo |

The gods, seeing such a bravery, hailed him

ਭੂਮਿ ਗਿਰਾਇ ਦਯੋ ਕੈ ਬਿਮੁਛਿਤ ਸ੍ਰੋਨ ਸੰਬੂਹ ਧਰਾ ਪੈ ਬਿਥਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

bhoom giraae dayo kai bimuchhit sron sanbooh dharaa pai bithaariyo |

Making the demon unconscious, he knocked him down on the earth

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੋ ਪੂਤ ਸਪੂਤ ਭਯੋ ਜਿਨਿ ਏਕ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਤੇ ਸੰਬਰ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੦੨੯॥

kaanrah ko poot sapoot bhayo jin ek kripaan te sanbar maariyo |2029|

Bravo to the son of Krishna, who killed Shambar with one blow of his sword.2029.

ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰੇ ਪਰਦੁਮਨ ਸੰਬਰ ਦੈਤ ਹਰਿ ਲੈ ਗਯੋ ਇਤ ਸੰਬਰ ਕੋ ਪਰਦੁਮਨ ਬਧ ਕੀਓ ਧਿਆਇ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ॥

eit sree bachitr naattak granthe krisanaavataare paraduman sanbar dait har lai gayo it sanbar ko paraduman badh keeo dhiaae samaapatam |

Here ends the chapter of Krishnavatar's Praduman of Sri Bachitra Natak Granth with the defeat of Sambar by Deanta and then the destruction of Sambar by Praduman.

ਅਥ ਪਰਦੁਮਨ ਸੰਬਰ ਕੋ ਬਧਿ ਰੁਕਮਿਨ ਕੋ ਮਿਲੇ ॥

ath paraduman sanbar ko badh rukamin ko mile |
