ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਿਹ ਰਮਿਯੋ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ਕਰ ॥
bhaat bhaat tih ramiyo tarun sukh paae kar |The woman also happily made love to him
ਹੋ ਬਿਨੁ ਦਾਮਨ ਅਬਲਾਹੂੰ ਰਹੀ ਬਿਕਾਇ ਕਰਿ ॥੮॥
ho bin daaman abalaahoon rahee bikaae kar |8|And that woman was sold without hesitation. 8.
ਚਿਤ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਰਹੀ ਇਸੀ ਸੰਗ ਜਾਇ ਹੌ ॥
chit chintaa triy karahee isee sang jaae hau |The woman thought in her mind that (now) I should go with him
ਨਿਜੁ ਨਾਇਕ ਕੌ ਦਰਸੁ ਨ ਬਹੁਰ ਦਿਖਾਇ ਹੌ ॥
nij naaeik kau daras na bahur dikhaae hau |And don't show my husband again.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਛੁ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੋ ਐਸੇ ਕੀਜਿਯੈ ॥
taa te kachh charitr so aaise keejiyai |So some characters should be done like this
ਹੋ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਜਸਊ ਰਹੈ ਅਪਜਸ ਨ ਸੁਨੀਜਿਯੈ ॥੯॥
ho jaa te jsaoo rahai apajas na suneejiyai |9|With which one should remain positive and not have to listen to bad things. 9.
ਏਕ ਸਖੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਭੇਦ ਸਮਝਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
ek sakhee prat kahiyo bhed samajhaae kai |(He) explained the whole secret to a Sakhi and said
ਹਰਿਨ ਹੇਤੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਡੂਬੀ ਕਹਿਯਹੁ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
harin het triy ddoobee kahiyahu jaae kai |Go and tell (the king) that the queen is drowned (following the deer).
ਬੈਨ ਸੁਨਤ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਤਿਹ ਕੌ ਭਈ ॥
bain sunat sahacharee jaat tih kau bhee |After hearing the matter, Sakhi went there
ਹੋ ਜੁ ਕਛੁ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਖਬਰਿ ਸੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਦਈ ॥੧੦॥
ho ju kachh kuar tih kahiyo khabar so nrip dee |10|And whatever the queen had told him, (that) news was conveyed to the king. 10.
ਆਪੁ ਕੁਅਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ ਗਈ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
aap kuar ke saath gee sukh paae kai |(The queen) herself went happily with Kunwar,
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੁਨਿ ਡੂਬੀ ਨਾਰਿ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਸਿਰੁ ਨ੍ਯਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
nrip sun ddoobee naar rahiyo sir nayaae kai |But the king kept his head down after hearing about the drowning of the queen.
ਚੰਚਲਾਨ ਕੋ ਚਰਿਤ ਨ ਨਰ ਕੋਊ ਲਹੈ ॥
chanchalaan ko charit na nar koaoo lahai |No man can know the character of women.
ਹੋ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਅਰੁ ਬੇਦ ਭੇਦ ਐਸੇ ਕਹੈ ॥੧੧॥
ho saasatr sinmrit ar bed bhed aaise kahai |11|Shastras, Smritis and Vedas also say this difference. 11.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਤਾ ਕੌ ਤਰੁਨ ਸੰਗ ਲੈ ਗਯੋ ॥
taa kau tarun sang lai gayo |Kunwar took her (the woman) with him
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੈ ਭੋਗਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
bhaat bhaat kai bhogat bhayo |And began to indulge in various things with him.
ਇਨ ਜੜ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਬਾਤ ਲਹਿ ਲਈ ॥
ein jarr kachh na baat leh lee |This fool (king) did not understand anything
ਜਾਨੀ ਡੂਬਿ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਗਈ ॥੧੨॥
jaanee ddoob chanchalaa gee |12|And this is known that the woman has drowned. 12.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਅਠਤੀਸ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੩੮॥੪੪੫੧॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau atthatees charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |238|4451|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 238th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 238.4451. goes on

ਸਹਿਰ ਸਿਰੌਜ ਬਿਖੈ ਹੁਤੋ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੁਭ੍ਰ ਸਰੂਪ ॥
sahir sirauaj bikhai huto raajaa subhr saroop |There lived a handsome king in Siroj Nagar.
ਕਾਮ ਕੇਲ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਚਤੁਰ ਨਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ॥੧॥
kaam kel mai at chatur nar singh roop anoop |1|(He) was a clever and incomparable lion-man in Kamakrida. 1.

ਤਾ ਕੇ ਚਾਰਿ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਸੁਭ ਕਾਰੀ ॥

ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਬਾਕੋ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥
soorabeer baako hankaaree |Who were brave and proud.
ਰਾਨੀ ਔਰ ਬ੍ਯਾਹਿ ਜੋ ਆਨੀ ॥
raanee aauar bayaeh jo aanee |(The king) who brought another queen in marriage,
ਸੋਊ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਬ੍ਰਯਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
soaoo garabhavatee hvai brayaanee |2|She also got pregnant and gave birth. 2.
ਏਕ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਤਾਹੂ ਕੋ ਭਯੋ ॥
ek putr taahoo ko bhayo |One (another) son was born to him
ਰਾਨੀ ਬੀਰ ਮਤੀ ਤਿਹ ਜਯੋ ॥
raanee beer matee tih jayo |Who was born to Rani Bir Mati.
ਬ੍ਰਯਾਘ੍ਰ ਕੇਤੁ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮ ਧਰਤ ਭੇ ॥
brayaaghr ket tih naam dharat bhe |His wife was named Ketu.
ਦਿਜਨ ਦਰਿਦ੍ਰ ਖੋਇ ਕੈ ਕੈ ਦੇ ॥੩॥
dijan daridr khoe kai kai de |3|The poverty of the Brahmins was abolished (i.e. they were given a lot of charity). 3.
ਚਾਰੋ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਰਾਜ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ॥
chaaro putr raaj adhikaaree |(The first) four sons were state officials
ਇਹੈ ਸੋਕ ਅਬਲਾ ਕੇ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
eihai sok abalaa ke bhaaree |This was the great sorrow (in the mind of that) woman.
ਜੋ ਕੋਊ ਉਨ ਚਾਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਘਾਵੈ ॥
jo koaoo un chaaron ko ghaavai |If anyone kills those four,
ਤਬ ਸੁਤ ਰਾਜ ਪਾਚਵੌ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੪॥
tab sut raaj paachavau paavai |4|Only then the fifth son could get the kingdom. 4.
ਜੇਸਟ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਤਨ ਮਨੁਖ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥
jesatt putr tan manukh patthaayo |(He) sent a man to the elder son
ਯੌ ਕਹਿਯਹੁ ਤੁਹਿ ਰਾਇ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
yau kahiyahu tuhi raae bulaayo |And sent saying that you have been called by the king.
ਰਾਜ ਕੁਅਰ ਆਵਤ ਜਬ ਭਯੋ ॥
raaj kuar aavat jab bhayo |When Raj Kumar came
ਤਬ ਹੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਕੋਠਰੀ ਦਯੋ ॥੫॥
tab hee maar kottharee dayo |5|Then he killed (him) and threw him in the cell. 5.
ਇਹੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਤੇ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
eihee bhaat te dutiy bulaayo |Similarly (then) called another.
ਵਹੀ ਖੜਗ ਭੇ ਤਾ ਕਹ ਘਾਯੋ ॥
vahee kharrag bhe taa kah ghaayo |Killed him with the same sword.
ਇਹੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਬੁਲੈ ਕੈ ॥
eihee bhaat tin duhoon bulai kai |In the same way (the rest) by calling both
ਡਾਰਤ ਭਈ ਭੋਹਰੇ ਘੈ ਕੈ ॥੬॥
ddaarat bhee bhohare ghai kai |6|Killed and thrown in the river. 6.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਚਾਰਿ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਥਮੈ ਹਨੇ ਪੁਨਿ ਪਤਿ ਲਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥
chaar putr prathamai hane pun pat layo bulaae |First killed the four sons and then called the husband.
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੌ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਕਰੀ ਨੈਨਨ ਨੀਰੁ ਬਹਾਇ ॥੭॥
eih bidh sau binatee karee nainan neer bahaae |7|With tears in her eyes, she pleaded like this.7.
ਸੁਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਵ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਦੋ ਲਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਕੇ ਹੇਤੁ ॥
sun raajaa tav putr do lare raaj ke het |O Rajan! Listen, your two sons have died fighting (with each other) for the kingdom.
