ਸਾਜੇ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਤਬ ਹੀ ॥
saaje sasatr chanchalaa tab hee |Only then did Bala put on his armor
ਰਨ ਕੌ ਚਲੀ ਸਾਥ ਲੈ ਸਬ ਹੀ ॥੩੬॥
ran kau chalee saath lai sab hee |36|And she went to war with everyone. 36.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਜਹਾ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਕੋ ਪੁਰ ਹੁਤੋ ਤਿਤ ਕਹ ਕਿਯਾ ਪਯਾਨ ॥
jahaa satru ko pur huto tith kah kiyaa payaan |Wherever the enemy's town was, it went there.
ਬਿਕਟ ਅਸੁਰ ਕੋ ਬੇੜਿ ਗੜ ਦਹਦਿਸ ਦਿਯੋ ਨਿਸਾਨ ॥੩੭॥
bikatt asur ko berr garr dahadis diyo nisaan |37|(He) besieged the giant's strong fort and sounded the cries from ten directions. 37.

ਦੁੰਦਭਿ ਸੁਨਾ ਸ੍ਰਵਨ ਮਹਿ ਜਬ ਹੀ ॥
dundabh sunaa sravan meh jab hee |When the giant heard with his ears the sound of the Nagaras,
ਜਾਗਾ ਅਸੁਰ ਕੋਪ ਕਰਿ ਤਬ ਹੀ ॥
jaagaa asur kop kar tab hee |Then he woke up very angry.
ਐਸਾ ਕਵਨ ਜੁ ਹਮ ਪਰ ਆਯੋ ॥
aaisaa kavan ju ham par aayo |Who is it that has come upon me?
ਰਕਤ ਬਿੰਦ ਮੈ ਰਨਹਿ ਹਰਾਯੋ ॥੩੮॥
rakat bind mai raneh haraayo |38|even defeated Rakat Bind (Rakat Bij) in the battlefield. 38.
ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਸੂਰਜ ਹਮ ਜੀਤਾ ॥
eindr chandr sooraj ham jeetaa |I have conquered Indra, the Moon and the Sun
ਰਾਵਨ ਜਿਤਾ ਹਰੀ ਜਿਨ ਸੀਤਾ ॥
raavan jitaa haree jin seetaa |And vanquished also (that) Ravana who had Sita Hari.
ਏਕ ਦਿਵਸ ਮੋ ਸੌ ਸਿਵ ਲਰਾ ॥
ek divas mo sau siv laraa |One day Shiva also fought with me.
ਤਾਹਿ ਭਜਾਯੋ ਮੈ ਨਹਿ ਟਰਾ ॥੩੯॥
taeh bhajaayo mai neh ttaraa |39|(So) I drove him away too. (And I) did not avoid. 39.
ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਜ ਦਾਨਵ ਰਨ ਆਵਾ ॥
sasatr saaj daanav ran aavaa |(He) dressed in giant armor came to the battlefield
ਅਮਿਤ ਕੋਪ ਕਰਿ ਸੰਖ ਬਜਾਵਾ ॥
amit kop kar sankh bajaavaa |And with immense anger he sounded the conch.
ਕਾਪੀ ਭੂਮ ਗਗਨ ਘਹਰਾਨਾ ॥
kaapee bhoom gagan ghaharaanaa |(At that time) the earth trembled and the sky began to roar
ਅਤੁਲ ਬੀਰਜ ਕਿਹ ਓਰ ਰਿਸਾਨਾ ॥੪੦॥
atul beeraj kih or risaanaa |40|Atul Biraj (Svas Biraj) is angry with which side. 40.
ਇਤਿ ਦਿਸਿ ਦੂਲਹ ਦੇਈ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ॥
eit dis doolah deee kumaaree |From this side Kumari Dulah Dei
ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਜਿ ਰਥਿ ਕਰੀ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥
sasatr saaj rath karee savaaree |(Bala) also sat on the chariot wearing armor.
ਸਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਤਿਹ ਕਾਲਾ ॥
sasatran kar pranaam tih kaalaa |At that time by prostrating the weapons
ਛਾਡਤ ਭੀ ਰਨ ਬਿਸਿਖ ਕਰਾਲਾ ॥੪੧॥
chhaaddat bhee ran bisikh karaalaa |41|(He) began to shoot fierce arrows in the battlefield. 41.
ਲਗੇ ਬਿਸਿਖ ਜਬ ਅੰਗ ਕਰਾਰੇ ॥
lage bisikh jab ang karaare |When the fierce arrows in the body (of the giants),
ਦਾਨਵ ਭਰੇ ਕੋਪ ਤਬ ਭਾਰੇ ॥
daanav bhare kop tab bhaare |Then the giants were filled with rage.
ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਸ ਸ੍ਰਮਿਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਕਾਢੇ ॥
mukh te svaas sramit hvai kaadte |When they get tired and breathe through their mouths
ਤਿਨ ਤੇ ਅਮਿਤ ਅਸੁਰ ਰਨ ਬਾਢੇ ॥੪੨॥
tin te amit asur ran baadte |42|Then innumerable giants would have surpassed them in the battlefield. 42.
ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਬਾਲ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਧ ਕਰਾ ॥
tin kaa baal bahur badh karaa |Then Bala killed them.
ਉਨ ਕਾ ਸ੍ਰੋਨ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਪਰ ਪਰਾ ॥
aun kaa sron prithee par paraa |Their blood fell on the ground.
ਅਗਨਿਤ ਬਢੇ ਤਬੈ ਤਹ ਦਾਨਵ ॥
aganit badte tabai tah daanav |Then many other giants increased there,
ਭਛਤ ਭਏ ਪਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਵ ॥੪੩॥
bhachhat bhe pakar kar maanav |43|Who grabs and eats people. 43.
ਜਬ ਅਬਲਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਭਟ ਚਬਾਏ ॥
jab abalaa ke subhatt chabaae |When (those giants) chewed the warriors of Abla
ਦੂਲਹ ਦੇ ਤਿਹ ਬਿਸਿਖ ਲਗਾਏ ॥
doolah de tih bisikh lagaae |So Dulah Dei shot them with arrows.
ਬੁੰਦਕਾ ਪਰਤ ਸ੍ਰੋਨ ਭੂਅ ਭਏ ॥
bundakaa parat sron bhooa bhe |Drops of (their) blood fell on the ground.
ਉਪਜਿ ਅਸੁਰ ਸਾਮਹਿ ਉਠਿ ਧਏ ॥੪੪॥
aupaj asur saameh utth dhe |44|(Among them) other giants were born and came from the front side. 44.
ਪੁਨਿ ਅਬਲਾ ਤਿਨ ਬਿਸਿਖ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥
pun abalaa tin bisikh prahaare |Abla shot them again
ਚਲੇ ਸ੍ਰੋਨ ਕੇ ਤਹਾ ਪਨਾਰੇ ॥
chale sron ke tahaa panaare |And there flowed blood.
ਅਸੁਰ ਅਨੰਤ ਤਹਾ ਤੇ ਜਾਗੇ ॥
asur anant tahaa te jaage |From there infinite giants were born.
ਜੂਝਤ ਭਏ ਪੈਗ ਨਹਿ ਭਾਗੇ ॥੪੫॥
joojhat bhe paig neh bhaage |45|(They) continued to fight but did not flee even a step. 45.
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujang chhand |Bhujang Verse:
ਜਬੈ ਓਰ ਚਾਰੌ ਉਠੇ ਦੈਤ ਬਾਨੀ ॥
jabai or chaarau utthe dait baanee |When the sound of giants started coming from all four sides,
ਕਏ ਕੋਪ ਗਾੜੋ ਲਏ ਧੂਲਿਧਾਨੀ ॥
ke kop gaarro le dhoolidhaanee |So they became very angry and raised (in their hands) Gurja ('Dhulidhani').
ਕਿਤੇ ਮੂੰਡ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਅਰਧ ਮੁੰਡੇ ॥
kite moondd mundde kite aradh mundde |How many had their heads shaved and how many were half shaved
ਕਿਤੇ ਕੇਸ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡੇ ॥੪੬॥
kite kes dhaaree sipaahee prachandde |46|And how many strong soldiers with cases (were firm) 46.
ਜਿਤੇ ਦੈਤ ਉਠੇ ਤਿਤੇ ਬਾਲ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
jite dait utthe tite baal maare |As many giants arose, as many were killed by Bala.
ਵੁਠੇ ਆਨਿ ਬਾਨਾਨਿ ਬਾਕੇ ਡਰਾਰੇ ॥
vutthe aan baanaan baake ddaraare |With a flurry of arrows, Banke scared the heroes.
ਜਿਤੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਸ ਛੋਰੈ ਉਠੈ ਦੈਤ ਭਾਰੇ ॥
jite svaas chhorai utthai dait bhaare |As much as (he) breathed out, (so many) huge giants stood up.
ਹਠੀ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਕੈ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥੪੭॥
hatthee maar hee maar kai kai padhaare |47|(They) used to say 'beat beat' and fell apart. 47.
ਕਿਤੇ ਕੋਪ ਕੈ ਬੀਰ ਬਾਲਾ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥
kite kop kai beer baalaa sanghaare |Bala killed so many warriors in anger.
