ਕਾਜੀ ਮੁਫਤੀ ਸੰਗ ਲੈ ਤਹਾ ਪਹੂਚੀ ਆਇ ॥੮॥
kaajee mufatee sang lai tahaa pahoochee aae |8|She came there with Qazi and Mufti. 8.
ਚੋਰ ਜਾਰ ਕੈ ਸਾਧ ਕਉ ਸਾਹੁ ਕਿਧੋ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹ ॥
chor jaar kai saadh kau saahu kidho paatisaah |(He is) a thief, a friend, a saint, a shah or a king (I don't know).
ਆਪਨ ਹੀ ਚਲਿ ਦੇਖਿਯੈ ਏ ਕਾਜਿਨ ਕੋ ਨਾਹ ॥੯॥
aapan hee chal dekhiyai e kaajin ko naah |9|O Shiromani Kazi! Go and see for yourself. 9.

ਪਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਬਚਨ ਭਾਖਿ ਭਜਿ ਗਏ ॥
pat triy bachan bhaakh bhaj ge |Husband and wife ran away after talking
ਹੇਰਤ ਤੇ ਅਕਬਰ ਕਹ ਭਏ ॥
herat te akabar kah bhe |And started looking at Akbar.
ਹਜਰਤਿ ਲਜਤ ਬਚਨ ਨਹਿ ਬੋਲੈ ॥
hajarat lajat bachan neh bolai |The king did not speak a word of shame.
ਨ੍ਯਾਇ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਸਿਰ ਆਂਖਿ ਨ ਖੋਲੈ ॥੧੦॥
nayaae rahiyo sir aankh na kholai |10|His head was lowered and he did not open his eyes. 10.
ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਧਾਮ ਕਿਸੀ ਕੇ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
je koee dhaam kisee ke jaavai |If a (person) goes to someone's house (for such work),
ਕ੍ਯੋ ਨਹਿ ਐਸ ਤੁਰਤ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
kayo neh aais turat fal paavai |So why should it not bear fruit immediately?
ਜੇ ਕੋਊ ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਸੋ ਪਾਗੈ ॥
je koaoo par naaree so paagai |If someone is engrossed in a foreign woman
ਪਨਹੀ ਇਹਾ ਨਰਕ ਤਿਹ ਆਗੈ ॥੧੧॥
panahee ihaa narak tih aagai |11|So here he will have to wear shoes and next he will get hell. 11.
ਜਬ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਹਜਰਤਿਹਿ ਭਯੋ ॥
jab ih bhaat hajaratihi bhayo |When this kind of (incident) happened to the king,
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਕਿਸੂ ਕੇ ਧਾਮ ਨ ਗਯੋ ॥
bahur kisoo ke dhaam na gayo |Then he did not go to anyone's house.
ਜੈਸਾ ਕਿਯ ਤੈਸਾ ਫਲ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
jaisaa kiy taisaa fal paayo |As he did, he got the same fruit
ਦੁਰਾਚਾਰ ਚਿਤ ਤੇ ਬਿਸਰਾਯੋ ॥੧੨॥
duraachaar chit te bisaraayo |12|And forgot the wrongdoing from the mind. 12.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਇਕ ਸੌ ਪਚਾਸੀਵੋ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੧੮੫॥੩੫੫੫॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade ik sau pachaaseevo charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |185|3555|afajoon|Here ends the 185th chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 185.355. goes on

ਮਦ੍ਰ ਦੇਸ ਇਕ ਛਤ੍ਰਜਾ ਅਚਲ ਕਲਾ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਉ ॥
madr des ik chhatrajaa achal kalaa tih naau |There was a daughter of Chhatri in Madra country whose name was Achal Kala.
ਅਧਿਕ ਦਰਬ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਰਹੈ ਬਸਤ ਦਯਾਲ ਪੁਰ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥
adhik darab taa ke rahai basat dayaal pur gaau |1|She had a lot of wealth and lived in Dayalpur village. 1.

ਰਵਿ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਅਸਤਾਚਲ ਗਏ ॥

ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀ ਦਿਸਾ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਏ ॥
praachee disaa chandr pragatte |And the moon rose in the east.
ਜਾਰਿ ਦੀਵਟੈ ਤਸਕਰ ਧਾਏ ॥
jaar deevattai tasakar dhaae |So the thieves started by lighting torches ('divtai').
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਤਾਕਿ ਭਵਨ ਕਹ ਆਏ ॥੨॥
taa ke taak bhavan kah aae |2|And they came to his house after searching. 2.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਠਾਢਿ ਭਏ ਤਿਹ ਬਾਲ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਪਰ ਖੜਗ ਨਿਕਾਰਿ ॥
tthaadt bhe tih baal ke sir par kharrag nikaar |They took out their swords and stood on the woman's head.
ਕੈ ਧਨ ਦੇਹਿ ਬਤਾਇ ਕੈ ਨਹ ਤੁਹਿ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੰਘਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
kai dhan dehi bataae kai nah tuhi dehi sanghaar |3|(He started saying) Either give the money, otherwise we will kill you. 3.

ਜਬ ਅਬਲਾ ਐਸੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
jab abalaa aaise sun paayo |When the woman heard this
ਕਛੂਕ ਧਾਮ ਕੋ ਦਰਬੁ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥
kachhook dhaam ko darab dikhaayo |So some wealth of the house was shown.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਮੈ ਦਰਬੁ ਦਿਖਾਊਾਂ ॥
bahur kahiyo mai darab dikhaaooaan |Then said, I also show more money
ਜੌ ਮੈ ਦਾਨ ਜੀਵ ਕੋ ਪਾਊਾਂ ॥੪॥
jau mai daan jeev ko paaooaan |4|If you spare my life. 4.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਕਾਹੇ ਕੌ ਆਜੁ ਸੰਘਾਰਤ ਮੋ ਕਹ ਸੰਗ ਚਲੋ ਬਹੁ ਮਾਲ ਬਤਾਊ ॥
kaahe kau aaj sanghaarat mo kah sang chalo bahu maal bataaoo |(You) why are you killing me today, come with me (I will tell you) a lot of wealth.
ਰਾਖਿ ਮਹਾਬਤਿ ਖਾਨ ਗਏ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਬਾਰ ਸੁ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਲਯਾਊ ॥
raakh mahaabat khaan ge sabh hee ik baar su te har layaaoo |All the goods have been kept by Mahabati Khan, I will bring them all at once.
ਪੂਤਨ ਪ੍ਰੋਤਨ ਲੌ ਸਭ ਕੋ ਛਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਆਜੁ ਦਰਦ੍ਰਿ ਬਹਾਊ ॥
pootan protan lau sabh ko chhin bheetar aaj daradr bahaaoo |will remove the poverty of all (your) sons and grandsons in an instant.
ਲੀਜਹੁ ਲੂਟਿ ਸਭੈ ਤੁਮ ਤਾ ਕਹ ਮੈ ਅਪਨੋ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਨ ਛੁਆਊ ॥੫॥
leejahu loott sabhai tum taa kah mai apano neh paan chhuaaoo |5|Loot all that (property), I will not lay my hands on it.5.

ਸੁਨਤ ਬਚਨ ਤਸਕਰ ਤੇ ਭਏ ॥
sunat bachan tasakar te bhe |Hearing (the woman's) words, the thieves got ready.
ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੌ ਸੰਗ ਤਹਾ ਲੈ ਗਏ ॥
triy kau sang tahaa lai ge |The woman was taken there.
ਜਹ ਕੋਠਾ ਦਾਰੂ ਕੋ ਭਰਿਯੋ ॥
jah kotthaa daaroo ko bhariyo |Where the storehouse of Daru (gunpowder) was full,
ਤਹੀ ਜਾਇ ਤਸਕਰਨ ਉਚਰਿਯੋ ॥੬॥
tahee jaae tasakaran uchariyo |6|He went there and told the thieves. 6.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਅਗਨਿ ਬਾਨ ਸੋ ਬਾਧਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤਹ ਕੌ ਦਈ ਚਲਾਇ ॥
agan baan so baadh triy tah kau dee chalaae |The woman tied Agni with an arrow and released it there.
ਕਾਲ ਸਭਨ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਹੁਤੋ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਤਹੀ ਸਰ ਜਾਇ ॥੭॥
kaal sabhan tin ko huto pariyo tahee sar jaae |7|The arrow of all the thieves went there. 7.

ਤਸਕਰ ਜਾਰਿ ਮਸਾਲੈ ਪਰੇ ॥
tasakar jaar masaalai pare |Thieves burnt spices and went there.
