ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਸੁਭਟ ਸਭ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਚਿਤ ਬਿਸਮਾਏ ॥
nrip ko roop bilok subhatt sabh chakrit chit bisamaae |All the warriors were surprised to see the form of the king and the castle was filled with amazement.
ਐਸੇ ਕਬਹੀ ਲਖੇ ਨਹੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਜੈਸੇ ਆਜ ਲਖਾਏ ॥
aaise kabahee lakhe nahee raajaa jaise aaj lakhaae |Seeing the glorious personality of the king all were wonder-struck and said, “We have never seen such personality of the king before which we are seeing today
ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਭਈ ਗਗਨਿ ਕੀ ਬਾਲਾ ਗਨ ਉਡਗਨ ਬਿਰਮਾਏ ॥
chakrit bhee gagan kee baalaa gan uddagan biramaae |The women of the sky (apachharas) are amazed and the Gana and Udgan are also amazed.
ਝਿਮਝਿਮ ਮੇਘ ਬੂੰਦ ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਦੇਵਨ ਅਮਰ ਪੁਹਪ ਬਰਖਾਏ ॥
jhimajhim megh boond jayon devan amar puhap barakhaae |The heavenly damsels also marveled and the ganas etc.also wondered, the gods showered flowered like rain-drops
ਜਾਨੁਕ ਜੁਬਨ ਖਾਨ ਹੁਐ ਨਿਕਸੇ ਰੂਪ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਅਨੁਵਾਏ ॥
jaanuk juban khaan huaai nikase roop sindh anuvaae |The king appeared like a mine of youth, having come out form the ocean of beauty after taking bath
ਜਾਨੁਕ ਧਾਰਿ ਨਿਡਰ ਬਸੁਧਾ ਪਰ ਕਾਮ ਕਲੇਵਰ ਆਏ ॥੯੦॥
jaanuk dhaar niddar basudhaa par kaam kalevar aae |90|He seemed like an incarnation of the god of love on earth.16.90.

ਭੂਪਤਿ ਪਰਮ ਗ੍ਯਾਨ ਜਬ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
bhoopat param gayaan jab paayo |When the king (Paras Nath) attained supreme knowledge.
ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕਰਮ ਕਠਨ ਕਰ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਜੌ ਕਰਿ ਧ੍ਯਾਨ ਲਗਾਯੋ ॥
man bach karam katthan kar taa ko jau kar dhayaan lagaayo |When the king obtained the Supreme knowledge, he had earlier performed rigorous austerities for the realization of the Lord, with his mind, speech and action
ਕਰਿ ਬਹੁ ਨ੍ਯਾਸ ਕਠਨ ਜਪੁ ਸਾਧ੍ਰਯੋ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਦੀਯੋ ਭਵਾਨੀ ॥
kar bahu nayaas katthan jap saadhrayo darasan deeyo bhavaanee |When he performed various kinds of difficult postures and the repetition of God’s Name, then the goddess Bhavani appeared before him
ਤਤਛਿਨ ਪਰਮ ਗ੍ਯਾਨ ਉਪਦੇਸ੍ਯੋ ਲੋਕ ਚਤੁਰਦਸ ਰਾਨੀ ॥
tatachhin param gayaan upadesayo lok chaturadas raanee |She, the mistress of all the fourteen worlds instructed him regarding Supreme Knowledge
ਤਿਹ ਛਿਨ ਸਰਬ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਮੁਖ ਉਚਰੇ ਤਤ ਅਤਤ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥
tih chhin sarab saasatr mukh uchare tat atat pachhaanaa |The king obtained the recognition of essence and non-essence at the same moment and he recited all the Shastras from his mouth
ਅਵਰ ਅਤਤ ਸਬੈ ਕਰ ਜਾਨੇ ਏਕ ਤਤ ਠਹਰਾਨਾ ॥
avar atat sabai kar jaane ek tat tthaharaanaa |Considering all the elements as destructible, he accepted only one Essence as indestructible
ਅਨਭਵ ਜੋਤਿ ਅਨੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸੀ ਅਨਹਦ ਨਾਦ ਬਜਾਯੋ ॥
anabhav jot anoop prakaasee anahad naad bajaayo |Perceiving the unique Light of the Supreme Soul, he blissfully blew he Unstruck Melody
ਦੇਸ ਬਿਦੇਸ ਜੀਤਿ ਰਾਜਨ ਕਹੁ ਸੁਭਟ ਅਭੈ ਪਦ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੯੧॥
des bides jeet raajan kahu subhatt abhai pad paayo |91|He achieved the fearless state on conquering the kings of all the countries far and near.17.91.

ਐਸੇ ਅਮਰਪਦ ਕਹੁ ਪਾਇ ॥
aaise amarapad kahu paae |Thus has attained immortality.
ਦੇਸ ਅਉਰ ਬਿਦੇਸ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਜੀਤਿ ਲੀਨ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥
des aaur bides bhoopat jeet leen bulaae |In this was, achieving the everlasting state, disciplining the kings of various countries, he invited them
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਨਿਸਾਨ ਸਰਬ ਬਜਾਇ ॥
bhaat bhaat bhare gumaan nisaan sarab bajaae |(All those kings) are full of suspicion and all make noise.
ਚਉਪ ਚਉਪ ਚਲੇ ਚਮੂੰਪਤਿ ਚਿਤ ਚਉਪ ਬਢਾਇ ॥
chaup chaup chale chamoonpat chit chaup badtaae |They, getting pleased marched proudly towards Parasnath, sounding their trumpets
ਆਨਿ ਆਨਿ ਸਬੈ ਲਗੇ ਪਗ ਭੂਪ ਕੇ ਜੁਹਰਾਇ ॥
aan aan sabai lage pag bhoop ke juharaae |Everyone came and saluted the king and sat on (his) throne.
ਆਵ ਆਵ ਸੁਭਾਵ ਸੋ ਕਹਿ ਲੀਨ ਕੰਠ ਲਗਾਇ ॥
aav aav subhaav so keh leen kantth lagaae |They all came and bowed at the feet of the Sovereign, who welcomed them all and hugged them
ਹੀਰ ਚੀਰ ਸੁ ਬਾਜ ਦੈ ਗਜ ਰਾਜ ਦੈ ਪਹਿਰਾਇ ॥
heer cheer su baaj dai gaj raaj dai pahiraae |Gave (all) diamonds, armour, horses and elephants and clothed them (with crowns).
ਸਾਧ ਦੈ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕੈ ਕਰ ਲੀਨ ਚਿਤ ਚੁਰਾਇ ॥੯੨॥
saadh dai sanamaan kai kar leen chit churaae |92|He gave them ornaments, garments, elephants, horses etc. and in this way, honouring all of them, he allured their mind.18.92.

ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਿਮੋਹਿ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਭੂਪ ਬੁਧ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥
bhaat bhaat bimohi bhoopat bhoop budh nidhaan |In this way, giving them gifts and honouring them, Parashnath, the store of wisdom, fascinated the mind of all
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿਨ ਸਾਜ ਦੈ ਬਰ ਬਾਜ ਅਉ ਗਜਰਾਜ ॥
bhaat bhaatin saaj dai bar baaj aau gajaraaj |The right horses and elephants are given with various equipments.
ਆਪਨੇ ਕੀਨੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪੰ ਸਬ ਪਾਰਸੈ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ॥
aapane keeno nripan sab paarasai mahaaraaj |Persenting various types of elephants and horses, Parasnth achieved the nearness of all of them
ਲਾਲ ਜਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਲ ਬਿਦ੍ਰਮ ਹੀਰ ਚੀਰ ਅਨੰਤ ॥
laal jaal pravaal bidram heer cheer anant |Nets of reds, corals, diamonds, pearls and many armours, with horns of gold
ਲਛ ਲਛ ਸ੍ਵਰਣ ਸਿੰਙੀ ਦਿਜ ਏਕ ਏਕ ਮਿਲੰਤ ॥
lachh lachh svaran singee dij ek ek milant |To every Brahmin, he gave in charity rubies, pearls, diamonds, gems, garments gold etc.
ਮੋਹਿ ਭੂਪਿਤ ਭੂਮਿ ਕੈ ਇਕ ਕੀਨ ਜਗ ਬਨਾਇ ॥
mohi bhoopit bhoom kai ik keen jag banaae |By enthralling the kings of the earth, they performed a Yagya by playing the Dhonsa
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਸਭਾ ਬਨਾਇ ਸੁ ਬੈਠਿ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਆਇ ॥੯੩॥
bhaat bhaat sabhaa banaae su baitth bhoopat aae |93|Then the king arranged a Yajna, in which various kings participated.1993.

ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਭਾ ਬਨਾਈ ॥
eik din baitthe sabhaa banaaee |One day (the king) was sitting in a council.
ਬਡੇ ਬਡੇ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਬਸੁਧਾ ਕੇ ਲੀਨੇ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਬੁਲਾਈ ॥
badde badde chhatree basudhaa ke leene nikatt bulaaee |One day, the king held his court, wherein he had invited the chief kings of the earth
ਅਰੁ ਜੇ ਹੁਤੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸਨ ਮਤਿ ਤੇ ਭੀ ਸਰਬ ਬੁਲਾਏ ॥
ar je hute des desan mat te bhee sarab bulaae |Other people of various countries were also called
ਸੁਨਿ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸਰਬ ਜਟਧਾਰੀ ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸ ਤੇ ਆਏ ॥
sun ih bhaat sarab jattadhaaree des des te aae |All the hermits with matted locks and the Yogic reached there
ਨਾਨਾ ਭਾਤਿ ਜਟਨ ਕਹ ਧਾਰੇ ਅਰੁ ਮੁਖ ਬਿਭੂਤ ਲਗਾਏ ॥
naanaa bhaat jattan kah dhaare ar mukh bibhoot lagaae |All of them had grown matted locks of various kinds and smeared ashes of their faces
ਬਲਕੁਲ ਅੰਗਿ ਦੀਰਘ ਨਖ ਸੋਭਤ ਮ੍ਰਿਗਪਤਿ ਦੇਖ ਲਜਾਏ ॥
balakul ang deeragh nakh sobhat mrigapat dekh lajaae |They had worn the ochrecoloured clothes on their limbs seeing their long nails, even the lions were feeling shy
ਮੁੰਦ੍ਰਤ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਊਰਧ ਕਰ ਓਪਤ ਪਰਮ ਕਾਛਨੀ ਕਾਛੇ ॥
mundrat netr aooradh kar opat param kaachhanee kaachhe |They were the performers of Supreme austerities by closing their eyes and raising their hands
ਨਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਜਪ੍ਯੋ ਕਰਤ ਦਤਾਤ੍ਰੈ ਮਹਾ ਮੁਨੀਸਰ ਆਛੇ ॥੯੪॥
nis din japayo karat dataatrai mahaa muneesar aachhe |94|They remembered the sage Dattatreya day and night.20.94.
ਪਾਰਸਨਾਥ ਬਾਚ ॥ ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ॥ ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਕੈ ਤੁਮ ਹਮ ਕੋ ਪਰਚੌ ਦਿਖਾਓ ॥
kai tum ham ko parachau dikhaao |Either you show me an introductory kautaka (miracle).
ਨਾਤਰ ਜਿਤੇ ਤੁਮ ਹੋ ਜਟਧਾਰੀ ਸਬਹੀ ਜਟਾ ਮੁੰਡਾਓ ॥
naatar jite tum ho jattadhaaree sabahee jattaa munddaao |Either all of you may give me cognizance of your yoga or shave off your matted locks
ਜੋਗੀ ਜੋਗੁ ਜਟਨ ਕੇ ਭੀਤਰ ਜੇ ਕਰ ਕਛੂਅਕ ਹੋਈ ॥
jogee jog jattan ke bheetar je kar kachhooak hoee |Oh Jogi! If there is any jog in the Jats
ਤਉ ਹਰਿ ਧ੍ਯਾਨ ਛੋਰਿ ਦਰ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਭੀਖ ਨ ਮਾਗੈ ਕੋਈ ॥
tau har dhayaan chhor dar dar te bheekh na maagai koee |O Yogis! if there had been some secret of Yoga in the matted locks, then any Yogi would not have gone for begging at different doors instead of absorbing in meditation on the Lord
ਜੇ ਕਰ ਮਹਾ ਤਤ ਕਹੁ ਚੀਨੈ ਪਰਮ ਤਤ ਕਹੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
je kar mahaa tat kahu cheenai param tat kahu paavai |If anyone recognizes the essence, he achieves unity with the Supreme Essence
