ਜਬ ਵਹੁ ਬ੍ਯਾਹਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਲੈ ਗਯੋ ॥
jab vahu bayaeh taeh lai gayo |When he married her
ਨਿਜੁ ਸਦਨਨ ਲੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਭਯੋ ॥
nij sadanan lai praapat bhayo |And took it and reached his home.
ਏਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਤਿਨ ਨਾਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
ek purakh tin naar nihaaraa |(So) that woman saw a man
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸਮ ਨਹਿ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰਾ ॥੪॥
jaa kee sam neh raaj kumaaraa |4|There was no Rajkumar like him. 4.
ਨਿਰਖਤ ਤਾਹਿ ਲਗਨ ਤਿਹ ਲਗੀ ॥
nirakhat taeh lagan tih lagee |Seeing him, he got his attention.
ਨੀਦ ਭੂਖਿ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਭਗੀ ॥
need bhookh tab hee te bhagee |The sleepy hunger went away immediately.
ਪਠੈ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਤਾਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥
patthai sahacharee taeh bulaavai |Sakhi used to send and call him
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਰੁਚਿ ਮਾਨ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥੫॥
kaam bhog ruch maan kamaavai |5|And she used to play with him with interest. 5.
ਸੰਗ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਬਹੁ ਬਧਾ ਸਨੇਹਾ ॥
sang taa ke bahu badhaa sanehaa |His affection for her increased greatly
ਰਾਝਨ ਔਰ ਹੀਰ ਕੋ ਜੇਹਾ ॥
raajhan aauar heer ko jehaa |As was Heer and Ranjhe.
ਬੀਰਜ ਕੇਤ ਕਹ ਯਾਦਿ ਨ ਲ੍ਯਾਵੈ ॥
beeraj ket kah yaad na layaavai |Dheeraj did not even remember (her husband) Ketu
ਧਰਮ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਕਹਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥੬॥
dharam bhraat keh taeh bulaavai |6|And she used to call him (the other man) as Dharma's brother. 6.
ਭੇਦ ਸਸੁਰ ਕੇ ਲੋਗ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
bhed sasur ke log na jaanai |The people of Suhare's house did not understand the difference
ਧਰਮ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਤਿਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਪਹਿਚਾਨੈ ॥
dharam bhraat tih triy pahichaanai |And considered (him) the religious brother of that woman.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਮੂਰਖ ਲਹਹੀ ॥
bhed abhed na moorakh lahahee |(Those) fools did not understand the difference.
ਭ੍ਰਾਤਾ ਜਾਨ ਕਛੂ ਨਹਿ ਕਹਹੀ ॥੭॥
bhraataa jaan kachhoo neh kahahee |7|They used to think (him) as a brother and did not say anything.7.
ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥
eik din triy ih bhaat uchaaraa |One day the woman said like this.
ਨਿਜੁ ਪਤਿ ਕੌ ਦੈ ਕੈ ਬਿਖੁ ਮਾਰਾ ॥
nij pat kau dai kai bikh maaraa |Killed her husband with poison.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੌ ਰੋਦਨ ਕਰੈ ॥
bhaat bhaat sau rodan karai |Bhant Bhant cried
ਲੋਗ ਲਖਤ ਸਿਰ ਕੇਸ ਉਪਰੈ ॥੮॥
log lakhat sir kes uparai |8|And plucked the hair of the head in the sight of the people. 8.
ਅਬ ਮੈ ਧਾਮ ਕਵਨ ਕੇ ਰਹੋ ॥
ab mai dhaam kavan ke raho |(started to say) whose house should I stay in now?
ਮੈ ਪਿਯ ਸਬਦ ਕਵਨ ਸੌ ਕਹੋ ॥
mai piy sabad kavan sau kaho |And to whom do I address the word 'beloved'?
ਨ੍ਯਾਇ ਨਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਘਰਿ ਭੀਤਰਿ ॥
nayaae nahee har ke ghar bheetar |There is no justice in God's house.
ਇਹ ਗਤਿ ਕਰੀ ਮੋਰਿ ਅਵਨੀ ਤਰ ॥੯॥
eih gat karee mor avanee tar |9|(He) has made me this condition on earth. 9.
ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੋ ਦਰਬ ਸੰਗ ਕਰਿ ਲੀਨਾ ॥
grih ko darab sang kar leenaa |He took all the money of the house with him
ਮਿਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਸੰਗ ਪਯਾਨਾ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
mitreh sang payaanaa keenaa |And departed with Mitra.
ਧਰਮ ਭਾਇ ਜਾ ਕੌ ਕਰਿ ਭਾਖਾ ॥
dharam bhaae jaa kau kar bhaakhaa |Who was called Dharma-Bhra,
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਨਾਥ ਧਾਮ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖਾ ॥੧੦॥
eih chhal naath dhaam kar raakhaa |10|(He) made him the master of the house with this trick. 10.
ਲੋਗ ਸਭੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥
log sabhai ih bhaat uchaaraa |Everyone says so
ਆਪੁ ਬਿਖੈ ਮਿਲਿ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
aap bikhai mil karat bichaaraa |And think together.
ਕਹਾ ਕਰੈ ਇਹ ਨਾਰਿ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥
kahaa karai ih naar bichaaree |What should this woman think?
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਦੈਵ ਐਸ ਗਤਿ ਧਾਰੀ ॥੧੧॥
jaa kee daiv aais gat dhaaree |11|Whom God has made such a condition. 11.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਧਨ ਧਾਮਾ ॥
taa te lai sabh hee dhan dhaamaa |So take all the money of the house
ਅਪੁਨੇ ਗਈ ਭਾਇ ਕੇ ਬਾਮਾ ॥
apune gee bhaae ke baamaa |Has gone to his brother's wife.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਸਕਤ ਬਿਚਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
bhed abhed na sakat bichar kai |(Nobody) could understand Bhed Abhed.
ਗਈ ਜਾਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਥ ਸੰਘਰਿ ਕੈ ॥੧੨॥
gee jaar ke naath sanghar kai |12|(That woman) killed the lord and left with the friend. 12.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਤੀਨ ਸੌ ਨੌ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੩੦੯॥੫੯੧੨॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade teen sau nau charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |309|5912|afajoon|Here ends the 309th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious.309.5912. goes on

ਪੁਨਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥
pun mantree ih bhaat uchaaraa |The minister then said,
ਸੁਨਹੁ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਜੂ ਬਚਨ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥
sunahu nripat joo bachan hamaaraa |O Rajan! You listen to my (next) word.
ਗਾਰਵ ਦੇਸ ਬਸਤ ਹੈ ਜਹਾ ॥
gaarav des basat hai jahaa |Where the Garav country lives.
ਗੌਰ ਸੈਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਥੋ ਤਹਾ ॥੧॥
gauar sain raajaa tho tahaa |1|There was a king named Gaurasena. 1.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਸ ਤਿਲਕ ਦੇਇ ਤਿਹ ਦਾਰਾ ॥
sree ras tilak dee tih daaraa |His wife's name was Ras Tilak Dei.
ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਲਿਯੋ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਉਜਿਯਾਰਾ ॥
chandr liyo jaa te ujiyaaraa |The moon took its light from him.
ਸਾਮੁੰਦ੍ਰਕ ਲਛਨ ਤਾ ਮੈ ਸਬਿ ॥
saamundrak lachhan taa mai sab |Samundrak (characteristics of women written in astrology) were all in her.
ਛਬਿ ਉਚਾਰ ਤਿਹ ਸਕੈ ਕਵਨ ਕਬਿ ॥੨॥
chhab uchaar tih sakai kavan kab |2|Which poet can boast about his image. 2.
ਤਹ ਇਕ ਹੁਤੋ ਸਾਹ ਕੋ ਪੂਤਾ ॥
tah ik huto saah ko pootaa |There was a king's son,
ਭੂਤਲ ਕੋ ਜਾਨੁਕ ਪੁਰਹੂਤਾ ॥
bhootal ko jaanuk purahootaa |As if there was Indra on earth.
