Who could fight with them? They were the wielders of bows and arrows, roaming throughout the nights and always absorbed in vicious acts.1464.
From that side the demons fell upon him and from this side the king stood firmly peacefully
Then, strengthening his mind and in rage, he said this to the enemies:
“Today I shall knock down all of you,” saying this, he held up his bow and arrows
Seeing the endurance of the king Kharag Singh, the army of demons felt pleased.1465.
Pulling his bow, that mighty warrior showered his arrows on the enemies
He chopped someone’s arm and in his rage, he discharged his arrow on someone’s chest
Someone, having been wounded fell down in the battlefield and some coward seeing the dreadful war ran away
Only one powerful demon survived there, who stabilising himself said to the king,1466
“O king! why are you fighting? We will not let you go alive
Your body is long and elegant, where shall we get such food?
“O fool! you do now know that we shall chew you with our teeth
We shall roast the bits of your flesh with the fire of our arrows and devour them.”1467.

Hearing these words, the king spoke in anger, “He, who goes away safe from me, may consider that he has released himself from the bondage of milk of his mother.”1468.
Hearing these words, the demon army fell upon the king and besieged him all the four sides like the fence of the field.1469.
