ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਤਿਨ ਚਿਤ ਚੁਰਾਇ ਲੀਯੋ ਸੁ ਕਿਧੋ ਕਬਿ ਕੋ ਮਨ ਯੌ ਉਮਗਿਯੋ ਹੈ ॥

har ko tin chit churaae leeyo su kidho kab ko man yau umagiyo hai |

When she (Radha) stole the image of Sri Krishna, this kind of (meaning) is produced in the mind of the poet.

ਨੈਨਨ ਕੋ ਰਸ ਦੇ ਭਿਲਵਾ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨ ਠਗੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਠਗਿਯੋ ਹੈ ॥੫੫੮॥

nainan ko ras de bhilavaa brikhabhaan tthagee bhagavaan tthagiyo hai |558|

The poet has said that Radha, the daughter of Brish Bhan cheated Krishna with the deception of her eyes.558.

ਜਿਹ ਕੋ ਪਿਖ ਕੈ ਮੁਖ ਮੈਨ ਲਜੈ ਜਿਹ ਕੋ ਦਿਖ ਕੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਲਜੈ ॥

jih ko pikh kai mukh main lajai jih ko dikh kai mukh chandr lajai |

Seeing whose face Kamadeva blushes and seeing whose face the moon blushes.

ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੇ ਸੋਊ ਖੇਲਤ ਹੈ ਸੰਗ ਕਾਨਰ ਕੇ ਸੁਭ ਸਾਜ ਸਜੈ ॥

kab sayaam kahe soaoo khelat hai sang kaanar ke subh saaj sajai |

He, seeing whom the god of love and the moon feel shy, the poet Shyam says that the same Radha, adorning herself, is playing with Krishna

ਸੋਊ ਸੂਰਤਿਵੰਤ ਰਚੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਕਰ ਕੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਰੁਚਿ ਕੈ ਨ ਕਜੈ ॥

soaoo soorativant rachee brahamaa kar kai at hee ruch kai na kajai |

It seems that Brahma has created that portrait with interest

ਮਨਿ ਮਾਲ ਕੇ ਬੀਚ ਬਿਰਾਜਤ ਜਿਉ ਤਿਮ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਮੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਰਾਜ ਰਜੈ ॥੫੫੯॥

man maal ke beech biraajat jiau tim triyan mai triy raaj rajai |559|

Just as a jewel looks magnificent in a wreath, in the same manner Radha appears as a sovereign of Women.559.

ਗਾਇ ਕੈ ਗੀਤ ਭਲੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਰੀਝਿ ਬਜਾਵਤ ਭੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਤਾਰੀ ॥

gaae kai geet bhalee bidh sundar reejh bajaavat bhee fir taaree |

Singing a lovely song and being pleased, they are also clapping their hands

ਅੰਜਨ ਆਡ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਭਲੇ ਪਟ ਸਾਜਨ ਕੋ ਸਜ ਕੈ ਸੁ ਗੁਵਾਰੀ ॥

anjan aadd sudhaar bhale patt saajan ko saj kai su guvaaree |

Those gopis have applied antimony in their eyes and have nicely dressed themselves in garments and ornaments

ਤਾ ਛਬਿ ਕੀ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਕਬਿ ਨੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥

taa chhab kee at hee su prabhaa kab nai mukh te ih bhaat uchaaree |

The radiance (of the image) of that very beautiful image (of vision) has been uttered by the poet from the face like this.

ਮਾਨਹੁ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਹੀ ਕੇ ਰਸ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਫੂਲ ਰਹੀ ਤ੍ਰੀਯ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਾਰੀ ॥੫੬੦॥

maanahu kaanrah hee ke ras te ih fool rahee treey aanand baaree |560|

The glory of that spectacle has been described by the poet like this, it seems that these women had remained like fruit, flowers and orchard for the pleasure of Krishna.560.

ਤਾ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਜੋਊ ਰਾਜਤ ਰਾਸ ਬਿਖੈ ਸਖੀਆ ਹੈ ॥

taa kee prabhaa kab sayaam kahai joaoo raajat raas bikhai sakheea hai |

Poet Shyam describes the beauty of those who are included in Sakhi Ras.

ਜਾ ਮੁਖ ਉਪਮਾ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਛਟਾ ਸਮ ਛਾਜਤ ਕਉਲਨ ਸੀ ਅਖੀਆ ਹੈ ॥

jaa mukh upamaa chandr chhattaa sam chhaajat kaulan see akheea hai |

While describing that spectacle, the poet Shyam elucidated the glory of the ladies and says that their faces are like the power of the moon and their eyes are like lotus-flowers

ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕਿਧੌ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਬਿ ਨੈ ਮਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਯੌ ਲਖੀਆ ਹੈ ॥

taa kee kidhau at hee upamaa kab nai man bheetar yau lakheea hai |

Or their great simile the poet has known in his mind like this.

ਲੋਗਨ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਹਰਤਾ ਸੁ ਮੁਨੀਨਨ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਚਖੀਆ ਹੈ ॥੫੬੧॥

logan ke man kee harataa su muneenan ke man kee chakheea hai |561|

Seeing that beauty, the poet says that those eyes remove the sufferings from the minds of the people and also fascinate the midns of the sages.561.

ਰੂਪ ਸਚੀ ਇਕ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਇਕ ਮੈਨਕਲਾ ਇਕ ਮੈਨ ਕੀ ਮੂਰਤਿ ॥

roop sachee ik chandraprabhaa ik mainakalaa ik main kee moorat |

A Chandraprabha (form of the name Sakhi) is (like) Sachi (wife of Indra) and Mankala (form of the name Sakhi) is of the shape of Kamadeva.

ਬਿਜੁਛਟਾ ਇਕ ਦਾਰਿਮ ਦਾਤ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਜਾਹੀ ਕੀ ਹੈ ਨ ਕਛੂ ਰਤਿ ॥

bijuchhattaa ik daarim daat baraabar jaahee kee hai na kachhoo rat |

Someone is Shachi, someone is Chandra-Prabha (glory of the moon), someone is the power of the god of love (Kaam-kala) and someone is apparently the image of kama (lust): someone is like the flash of lightning, the teeth of someone are like pomegranate, an

ਦਾਮਿਨਿ ਅਉ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਕੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਗਨੀ ਸਰਮਾਇ ਜਿਸੈ ਪਿਖਿ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਚੂਰਤਿ ॥

daamin aau mrig kee mriganee saramaae jisai pikh hot hai choorat |

The lightning and the doe of the deer are feeling shy and shattering their own pride

ਸੋਊ ਕਥਾ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਸਭ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਪਿਖਿ ਮੂਰਤਿ ॥੫੬੨॥

soaoo kathaa kab sayaam kahai sabh reejh rahee har kee pikh moorat |562|

Narrating that story, the poet Shyam says that all the women are allured on seeing the form of Krishna.562.

ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨੁ ਸੁਤਾ ਹਸਿ ਬਾਤ ਕਹੀ ਤਿਹ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਅਤਿ ਅਗਾਧੋ ॥

brikhabhaan sutaa has baat kahee tih ke sang jo har at agaadho |

Hari (Sri Krishna) who is supreme as the end, smiled and said to Radha. (Poet) Shyam says,

ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਸੰਗ ਐਸੇ ਕਹੀ ਪਟ ਕੋ ਤਜਿ ਰਾਧੋ ॥

sayaam kahai bateeyaa har ko sang aaise kahee patt ko taj raadho |

Radha, the daughter of Brish Bhan, said one thing to the unapproachable and unfathomable Krishna smilingly and while speaking, she dropped her garments and said:

ਰਾਸ ਬਿਖੈ ਤੁਮ ਨਾਚਹੁ ਜੂ ਤਜ ਕੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਲਾਜ ਕੋ ਬਾਧੋ ॥

raas bikhai tum naachahu joo taj kai at hee man laaj ko baadho |

“At the time of dancing, he should also accompany, otherwise there is feeling of shyness

ਤਾ ਮੁਖ ਕੀ ਛਬਿ ਯੌ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੀ ਮਨੋ ਅਭ੍ਰਨ ਤੇ ਨਿਕਸਿਯੋ ਸਸਿ ਆਧੋ ॥੫੬੩॥

taa mukh kee chhab yau pragattee mano abhran te nikasiyo sas aadho |563|

” Saying this, the face of Radha seemed like the half-moon coming out of the clouds.563.

ਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਸਿਰਿ ਸੇਾਂਧਰ ਮਾਗ ਬਿਰਾਜਤ ਰਾਜਤ ਹੈ ਬਿੰਦੂਆ ਜਿਨ ਪੀਲੇ ॥

jin ke sir seaandhar maag biraajat raajat hai bindooaa jin peele |

On the heads of the gopis, the vermilion seems spendid and the yellow round marks on the forehead look magnificent

ਕੰਚਨ ਭਾ ਅਰੁ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਤਨ ਲੀਨ ਸਭੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਲੀਲੇ ॥

kanchan bhaa ar chandraprabhaa jin ke tan leen sabhai fun leele |

The whole boddies of Kanchanprabha and Chandraprabha seen to have merrgrd in beauty

ਏਕ ਧਰੇ ਸਿਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਾਜ ਧਰੇ ਇਕ ਲਾਲ ਸਜੇ ਇਕ ਨੀਲੇ ॥

ek dhare sit sundar saaj dhare ik laal saje ik neele |

Someone is wearing white garments, someone red and someone blue

ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੇ ਸੋਊ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੈ ਪਿਖਿ ਕੈ ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਕੰਜ ਸੇ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਰਸੀਲੇ ॥੫੬੪॥

sayaam kahe soaoo reejh rahai pikh kai drig kanj se kaanrah raseele |564|

The poet says that all are getting fascinated on seeing Krishna’s voluptuous drag-kang.564.

ਸਭ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਯਾ ਤਹ ਖੇਲਤ ਹੈ ਸੁਭ ਅੰਗਨ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਾਜ ਕਈ ॥

sabh gvaaraniyaa tah khelat hai subh angan sundar saaj kee |

All the gopis play there with beautiful adornments on their tender limbs.

ਸੋਊ ਰਾਸ ਬਿਖੈ ਤਹ ਖੇਲਤ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੋ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਉਮਈ ॥

soaoo raas bikhai tah khelat hai har so man mai at hee umee |

Adorning their limbs, all the gopis are playing there and in that amorous play, they are absorbed in passionate sport in extreme excitement in the company of Krishna

ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਜੁ ਹੁਤੀ ਤਹ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨ ਰੂਪ ਰਈ ॥

kab sayaam kahai tin kee upamaa ju hutee tah gvaarin roop ree |

Poet Shyam compares them saying that those gopis have become the form of him (Sri Krishna).

ਮਨੋ ਸ੍ਯਾਮਹਿ ਕੋ ਤਨ ਗੋਰਿਨ ਪੇਖਿ ਕੈ ਸ੍ਯਾਮਹਿ ਸੀ ਸਭ ਹੋਇ ਗਈ ॥੫੬੫॥

mano sayaameh ko tan gorin pekh kai sayaameh see sabh hoe gee |565|

The poet, white describing the beauty an delegance of gopis, says that it seems that seeing the comeliness of Krishna, all the gopis have become Krishna-like.565.

ਕੇਲ ਕੈ ਰਾਸ ਮੈ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੀ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਮਨ ਆਨੰਦ ਕੈ ਕੈ ॥

kel kai raas mai reejh rahee kab sayaam kahai man aanand kai kai |

All the gopis are saturated and absorbed in passionate sport, getting pleased in their mind

ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮੁਖੀ ਤਨ ਕੰਚਨ ਭਾ ਹਸਿ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਬਾਤ ਕਹੀ ਉਮਗੈ ਕੈ ॥

chandramukhee tan kanchan bhaa has sundar baat kahee umagai kai |

Chandarmukhi with her body like gold, is saying this in extreme excitement

ਪੇਖਤ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਭੀ ਰਸ ਕੇ ਬਸਿ ਆਪਨ ਤੇ ਬਢ ਵਾਹਿ ਲਖੈ ਕੈ ॥

pekhat moorat bhee ras ke bas aapan te badt vaeh lakhai kai |

Having seen (Lord Krishna's) form and knowing (him) more (beautiful) than herself, she has become abode of (his) prem-rasa (i.e. has become enraptured).

ਜਿਉ ਮ੍ਰਿਗਨੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਪੇਖਤ ਤਿਉ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨ ਸੁਤਾ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਚਿਤੈ ਕੈ ॥੫੬੬॥

jiau mriganee mrig pekhat tiau brikhabhaan sutaa bhagavaan chitai kai |566|

That on seeing the image of Krishna, her passionate love is not restrained and just as a doe looks at a dear, Radha is seeing Lord Krishna in the same manner.566.

ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨੁ ਸੁਤਾ ਪਿਖਿ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੀ ਅਤਿ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੋ ਆਨਨ ॥

brikhabhaan sutaa pikh reejh rahee at sundar sundar kaanrah ko aanan |

Radha is getting fascinated on seeing the beautiful face of Krishna

ਰਾਜਤ ਤੀਰ ਨਦੀ ਜਿਹ ਕੇ ਸੁ ਬਿਰਾਜਤ ਫੂਲਨ ਕੇ ਜੁਤ ਕਾਨਨ ॥

raajat teer nadee jih ke su biraajat foolan ke jut kaanan |

The river is flowing near Krishna and the forests of flowers look magnificent

ਨੈਨ ਕੈ ਭਾਵਨ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਮਨੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਲਇਓ ਰਸ ਕੀ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਨ ॥

nain kai bhaavan so har ko man mohi leio ras kee abhimaanan |

(Krishna's) mind is captivated by the expressions (or signs) of the eyes.

ਜਿਉ ਰਸ ਲੋਗਨ ਭਉਹਨ ਲੈ ਧਨੁ ਨੈਨਨ ਸੈਨ ਸੁ ਕੰਜ ਸੇ ਬਾਨਨ ॥੫੬੭॥

jiau ras logan bhauhan lai dhan nainan sain su kanj se baanan |567|

The signs of Radha have allured the mind of Krishna and it appears to him that her eyebrows are like bows and the signs of the eyes like the arrows of flowers.567.
