ਤਬ ਯਹ ਮੋਨ ਸਾਧਿ ਮਨਿ ਬੈਠੇ ਅਨਤ ਨ ਖੋਜਨ ਧਾਵੈ ॥
tab yah mon saadh man baitthe anat na khojan dhaavai |He sits at one place silently and does not go in search of Him at any other place
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਰੂਪ ਰੇਖ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀਐ ਸਦਾ ਅਦ੍ਵੈਖ ਕਹਾਯੋ ॥
jaa kee roop rekh nahee jaaneeai sadaa advaikh kahaayo |He, who is without any form or figure and who is non-dual and garbles,
ਜਉਨ ਅਭੇਖ ਰੇਖ ਨਹੀ ਸੋ ਕਹੁ ਭੇਖ ਬਿਖੈ ਕਿਉ ਆਯੋ ॥੯੫॥
jaun abhekh rekh nahee so kahu bhekh bikhai kiau aayo |95|How can then he be comprehended through the medium of any garb?21.95.
ਬਿਸਨਪਦ ॥ ਸਾਰੰਗ ॥ ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਜੇ ਜੇ ਤਿਨ ਮੈ ਹੁਤੇ ਸਯਾਨੇ ॥
je je tin mai hute sayaane |They accepted Parasnath the knower of the Supreme Essence
ਪਾਰਸ ਪਰਮ ਤਤ ਕੇ ਬੇਤਾ ਮਹਾ ਪਰਮ ਕਰ ਮਾਨੇ ॥
paaras param tat ke betaa mahaa param kar maane |Those who were very wise amongst those hermits with matted locks,
ਸਬਹਨਿ ਸੀਸ ਨ੍ਯਾਇ ਕਰਿ ਜੋਰੇ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਖਾਨੇ ॥
sabahan sees nayaae kar jore ih bidh sang bakhaane |All of them bowed their heads and folded their hands
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਹਾ ਸੋ ਕੀਨਾ ਅਉਰ ਹਮ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਨੇ ॥
jo jo guroo kahaa so keenaa aaur ham kachhoo na jaane |They said, “Whatever you said to us as our Guru, we shall do the same
ਸੁਨਹੋ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਰਾਜਨ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਬਚਨ ਬਖਾਨੇ ॥
sunaho mahaaraaj raajan ke jo tum bachan bakhaane |O king of kings! (All of us) have heard the words that you have spoken.
ਸੋ ਹਮ ਦਤ ਬਕਤ੍ਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਨ ਕਰਿ ਸਾਚ ਹੀਐ ਅਨੁਮਾਨੇ ॥
so ham dat bakatr te sun kar saach heeai anumaane |O Sir! Whatever you have said, the same thing we heard from the sage Dutt and have perceived the Truth
ਜਾਨੁਕ ਪਰਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਤੇ ਨਿਕਸੇ ਮਹਾ ਰਸਨ ਰਸ ਸਾਨੇ ॥
jaanuk param amrit te nikase mahaa rasan ras saane |(Those words) were so drenched with juices, as if they had flowed out of the supreme nectar.
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਭਏ ਇਹ ਮੁਖਿ ਤੇ ਸੋ ਸੋ ਸਬ ਹਮ ਮਾਨੇ ॥੯੬॥
jo jo bachan bhe ih mukh te so so sab ham maane |96|You have uttered these words from your tongue like the sweet ambrosia and whatever you have uttered from your mouth, we accept, all of them.22.96.
ਬਿਸਨਪਦ ॥ ਸੋਰਠਿ ॥

ਜੋਗੀ ਜੋਗੁ ਜਟਨ ਮੋ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
jogee jog jattan mo naahee |O Yogis! the Yoga does not consist in the matted locks
ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਮਰਤ ਕਹਾ ਪਚਿ ਪਚਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਮਝ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
bhram bhram marat kahaa pach pach kar dekh samajh man maahee |You may reflect in your mind and not be puzzled in illusions
ਜੋ ਜਨ ਮਹਾ ਤਤ ਕਹੁ ਜਾਨੈ ਪਰਮ ਗ੍ਯਾਨ ਕਹੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
jo jan mahaa tat kahu jaanai param gayaan kahu paavai |One who knows the Maha Tattva attains supreme knowledge.
ਤਬ ਯਹ ਏਕ ਠਉਰ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਦਰਿ ਦਰਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਤ ਨ ਧਾਵੈ ॥
tab yah ek tthaur man raakhai dar dar bhramat na dhaavai |When the mind, comprehending the Supreme Essence, realizes the Supreme Knowledge, then it stablises at one place and does not wander and run hither and thither
ਕਹਾ ਭਯੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਤਜਿ ਉਠਿ ਭਾਗੇ ਬਨ ਮੈ ਕੀਨ ਨਿਵਾਸਾ ॥
kahaa bhayo grih taj utth bhaage ban mai keen nivaasaa |What if he has left the house and run away (outside) and has taken up his abode in a hut?
ਮਨ ਤੋ ਰਹਾ ਸਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੀ ਮੋ ਸੋ ਨਹੀ ਭਯੋ ਉਦਾਸਾ ॥
man to rahaa sadaa ghar hee mo so nahee bhayo udaasaa |What will you gain in the forest on forsaking the domestic life, because the mind will always be thinking about home and will not be able to get detached from the world
ਅਧਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਪੰਚ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਠਗਾ ਜਗ ਜਾਨਿ ਜੋਗ ਕੋ ਜੋਰਾ ॥
adhik prapanch dikhaaeaa tthagaa jag jaan jog ko joraa |You people have deceived the world through the medium of Yoga on showing the special deceit
ਤੁਮ ਜੀਅ ਲਖਾ ਤਜੀ ਹਮ ਮਾਯਾ ਮਾਯਾ ਤੁਮੈ ਨ ਛੋਰਾ ॥੯੭॥
tum jeea lakhaa tajee ham maayaa maayaa tumai na chhoraa |97|You have believed that you have forsaken maya, but in reality, maya has not left you.23.97.
ਬਿਸਨਪਦ ॥ ਸੋਰਠਿ ॥
bisanapad | soratth |VISHNUPADA SORATHA
ਭੇਖੀ ਜੋਗ ਨ ਭੇਖ ਦਿਖਾਏ ॥
bhekhee jog na bhekh dikhaae |Oh, the alms-bearers! Yoga is not about showing off.
ਨਾਹਨ ਜਟਾ ਬਿਭੂਤ ਨਖਨ ਮੈ ਨਾਹਿਨ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਰੰਗਾਏ ॥
naahan jattaa bibhoot nakhan mai naahin basatr rangaae |O Yogis, the believers in various guises! You are only exhibiting the outer garb, but that Lord cannot be realized by growing matted locks, by smearing ashes, by growing nails and by wearing the dyed clothes
ਜੋ ਬਨਿ ਬਸੈ ਜੋਗ ਕਹੁ ਪਈਐ ਪੰਛੀ ਸਦਾ ਬਸਤ ਬਨਿ ॥
jo ban basai jog kahu peeai panchhee sadaa basat ban |If the Yoga had been achieved by residing in the forest, then the birds always live in the forest
ਕੁੰਚਰ ਸਦਾ ਧੂਰਿ ਸਿਰਿ ਮੇਲਤ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਸਮਝ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਮਨਿ ॥
kunchar sadaa dhoor sir melat dekhahu samajh tum hee man |In the same way the elephant always puts the dust on his body why do you not understand it in your mind?
ਦਾਦੁਰ ਮੀਨ ਸਦਾ ਤੀਰਥ ਮੋ ਕਰ੍ਯੋ ਕਰਤ ਇਸਨਾਨਾ ॥
daadur meen sadaa teerath mo karayo karat isanaanaa |The frogs and fish always take bath at the pilgrim-stations,
ਧ੍ਰਯਾਨ ਬਿੜਾਲ ਬਕੀ ਬਕ ਲਾਵਤ ਤਿਨ ਕਿਆ ਜੋਗੁ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥
dhrayaan birraal bakee bak laavat tin kiaa jog pachhaanaa |The cats and cranes are always seen meditating, but still they had not recognized Yoga
ਜੈਸੇ ਕਸਟ ਠਗਨ ਕਰ ਠਾਟਤ ਐਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਿਤ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
jaise kasatt tthagan kar tthaattat aaise har hit keejai |The manner in which your suffer agony for deceiving the people, in the same way make effort to absorb you mind in the Lord
ਤਬ ਹੀ ਮਹਾ ਗ੍ਯਾਨ ਕੋ ਜਾਨੈ ਪਰਮ ਪਯੂਖਹਿ ਪੀਜੈ ॥੯੮॥
tab hee mahaa gayaan ko jaanai param payookheh peejai |98|Only then you will realise the Supreme Essence and would be able to quaff the nectar.24.98.

ਸੁਨਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਐਸੇ ਬਚਨ ਸਿਯਾਨੇ ॥
sun sun aaise bachan siyaane |Hearing such wise words
ਉਠਿ ਉਠਿ ਮਹਾ ਬੀਰ ਪਾਰਸ ਕੇ ਪਾਇਨ ਸੋ ਲਪਟਾਨੇ ॥
autth utth mahaa beer paaras ke paaein so lapattaane |Hearing such wise words all the great hermits with matted locks clung to the feet of Parasnath
ਜੇ ਜੇ ਹੁਤੇ ਮੂੜ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਤਿਨ ਤਿਨ ਬੈਨ ਨ ਮਾਨੇ ॥
je je hute moorr agiaanee tin tin bain na maane |Those who were foolish and ignorant did not obey his words.
ਉਠਿ ਉਠਿ ਲਗੇ ਕਰਨ ਬਕਬਾਦਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਮੁਗਧ ਇਆਨੇ ॥
autth utth lage karan bakabaadah moorakh mugadh eaane |Those who were foolish and ignorant, they did not accept the words of Parasnath and those fools, getting up, began to make an argument with Parasnath
ਉਠਿ ਉਠਿ ਭਜੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਕਾਨਨ ਕੋ ਕੇਤਕਿ ਜਲਹਿ ਸਮਾਨੇ ॥
autth utth bhaje kite kaanan ko ketak jaleh samaane |Some of them arose and ran away towards the forest and some of them merged themselves in water
ਕੇਤਕ ਭਏ ਜੁਧ ਕਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਸੁਨਤ ਸਬਦੁ ਘਹਰਾਨੇ ॥
ketak bhe judh keh praapat sunat sabad ghaharaane |Some of them prepared themselves for fighting
ਕੇਤਕ ਆਨਿ ਆਨਿ ਸਨਮੁਖਿ ਭਏ ਕੇਤਕ ਛੋਰਿ ਪਰਾਨੇ ॥
ketak aan aan sanamukh bhe ketak chhor paraane |Some of them came in front of the king and some of them ran away from that place
ਕੇਤਕ ਜੂਝਿ ਸੋਭੇ ਰਣ ਮੰਡਲ ਬਾਸਵ ਲੋਕਿ ਸਿਧਾਨੇ ॥੯੯॥
ketak joojh sobhe ran manddal baasav lok sidhaane |99|Many of them went away to heaven after fighting in the battlefield.25.99.
ਬਿਸਨਪਦ ॥ ਤਿਲੰਗ ॥ ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਥਤਾ ॥

ਜਬ ਹੀ ਸੰਖ ਸਬਦ ਘਹਰਾਏ ॥
jab hee sankh sabad ghaharaae |As soon as the words of numbers echoed (in the wilderness),
ਜੇ ਜੇ ਹੁਤੇ ਸੂਰ ਜਟਧਾਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਤਿਨ ਤੁਰੰਗ ਨਚਾਏ ॥
je je hute soor jattadhaaree tin tin turang nachaae |When the conch of war was blown, then all the warriors with matted locks caused the dancing of their horses
ਚਕ੍ਰਤ ਭਈ ਗਗਨ ਕੀ ਤਰੁਨੀ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਤ੍ਰਸਾਏ ॥
chakrat bhee gagan kee tarunee dev adev trasaae |The heavenly damsels were wonder-struck
ਨਿਰਖਤ ਭਯੋ ਸੂਰ ਰਥ ਥੰਭਤ ਨੈਨ ਨਿਮੇਖ ਨ ਲਾਏ ॥
nirakhat bhayo soor rath thanbhat nain nimekh na laae |The gods and demons felt agitated the sun-god stopped his chariot in order to see that war
ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਨਾ ਬਿਧਿ ਛਾਡੇ ਬਾਣ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਘ ਚਲਾਏ ॥
sasatr asatr naanaa bidh chhaadde baan prayogh chalaae |He saw that various types of arms and weapons were being used in that fighting
ਮਾਨਹੁ ਮਾਹ ਮੇਘ ਬੂੰਦਨ ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਬਾਣ ਬ੍ਰਯੂਹ ਬਰਸਾਏ ॥
maanahu maah megh boondan jayon baan brayooh barasaae |The arrows were being showered like rain-drops
ਚਟਪਟ ਚਰਮ ਬਰਮ ਪਰ ਚਟਕੇ ਦਾਝਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਾ ਲਜਾਏ ॥
chattapatt charam baram par chattake daajhat trinaa lajaae |The arrows hitting the armours were producing the crackling sound and it seems that the sparks are bursting forth with the burning of the straw
ਸ੍ਰੋਣਤ ਭਰੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੋਭਿਤ ਜਨੁ ਚਾਚਰ ਖੇਲਿ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥੧੦੦॥
sronat bhare basatr sobhit jan chaachar khel sidhaae |100|The clothes saturated with blood gave the semblance of the playing of Holi.26.100.
