ਸੁਨਹੁ ਸ੍ਰਵਨ ਧਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਪ੍ਯਾਰੇ ॥੬॥
sunahu sravan dhar kathaa payaare |6|O dear (king) listen to (that) story. 6.
ਪਤਿ ਦੇਖਤ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਭੋਗ ਕਮੈ ਹੌ ॥
pat dekhat kahiyo bhog kamai hau |To be indulged (with someone else) in front of the husband
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਭੋਜ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਰਵੈ ਹੌ ॥
braham bhoj taa te karavai hau |And then let him have a divine feast.
ਜੀਯੋ ਮਤੀ ਤਬਹੂੰ ਤੁਮ ਜਨਿਯਹੁ ॥
jeeyo matee tabahoon tum janiyahu |(I) will consider you only then as Jiyo Mati
ਮੋਰੀ ਸਾਚ ਕਹੀ ਤਬ ਮਨਿਯਹੁ ॥੭॥
moree saach kahee tab maniyahu |7|When my words will be shown to be true. 7.
ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਬਚਨਨ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥
yau keh bachanan bahur uchaaraa |After saying this, he started telling again.
ਪਤਿ ਗਯੋ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਅਨਤ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
pat gayo jab hee anat nihaaraa |As soon as she saw her husband going to the other side.
ਤਬ ਬਾਢੀ ਤਿਹ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥
tab baadtee tih bol patthaayo |Then called the carpenter
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਤਿਹ ਸੰਗ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥੮॥
kaam bhog tih sang kamaayo |8|And had sexual intercourse with him. 8.
ਜਾਟਿਨਿ ਭੋਗ ਜਬੈ ਜੜ ਆਯੋ ॥
jaattin bhog jabai jarr aayo |When the fool (came back) after indulging in the jatani,
ਆਨ ਰਮਤ ਲਖਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਹਿ ਰਿਸਾਯੋ ॥
aan ramat lakh triyeh risaayo |So he got very angry seeing the woman having sex with another.
ਕਾਢਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਮਹਾ ਪਸੁ ਧਯੋ ॥
kaadt kripaan mahaa pas dhayo |Taking out the kirpan, the great fool advanced (towards him).
ਕਰ ਤੇ ਪਕਰਿ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਲਯੋ ॥੯॥
kar te pakar sahacharee layo |9|But the maid caught her by the hand. 9.
ਜਾਰ ਏਕ ਉਠਿ ਲਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੀ ॥
jaar ek utth laat prahaaree |(So much) Yaar got up and kicked
ਗਿਰਤ ਭਯੋ ਪਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀ ਮੰਝਾਰੀ ॥
girat bhayo pas prithee manjhaaree |And (that) animal fell to the ground.
ਦੇਹਿ ਛੀਨ ਤੈ ਉਠਿ ਨ ਸਕਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
dehi chheen tai utth na sakat bhayo |His body was weak, (therefore) he could not rise.
ਜਾਰ ਪਤਰਿ ਭਾਜਿ ਜਾਤ ਭਯੋ ॥੧੦॥
jaar patar bhaaj jaat bhayo |10|The guy was thin, he ran away. 10.
ਉਠਤ ਭਯੋ ਮੂਰਖ ਬਹੁ ਕਾਲਾ ॥
autthat bhayo moorakh bahu kaalaa |(That) fool stood up after a long time
ਪਾਇਨ ਆਇ ਲਗੀ ਤਬ ਬਾਲਾ ॥
paaein aae lagee tab baalaa |And the woman fell at his feet.
ਜੌ ਪਿਯ ਮੁਰ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਬਿਚਾਰੋ ॥
jau piy mur aparaadh bichaaro |(started to say) O dear! If any fault of mine
ਕਾਢਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਡਾਰੋ ॥੧੧॥
kaadt kripaan maar hee ddaaro |11|So take out the kirpan and kill him. 11.
ਜਿਨ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਤੁਹਿ ਲਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੀ ॥
jin nirabhai tuhi laat prahaaree |The person who fearlessly kicked you,
ਵਹਿ ਆਗੈ ਮੈ ਕਵਨ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥
veh aagai mai kavan bichaaree |What did I think before that?
ਤੁਮ ਭੂਅ ਗਿਰੇ ਜਵਨ ਕੇ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
tum bhooa gire javan ke maare |On the kick of which you are on the earth
ਖਾਇ ਲੋਟਨੀ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਸੰਭਾਰੇ ॥੧੨॥
khaae lottanee kachh na sanbhaare |12|They fell down after eating bhavatni and could not manage anything. 12.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਜੋ ਨਰ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਨ ਡਰਾ ਲਾਤਨ ਕਿਯਾ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ ॥
jo nar tum te na ddaraa laatan kiyaa prahaar |The person who did not fear you and beat you.
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਆਗੇ ਹੇਰੁ ਮੈ ਕਹਾ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ਨਾਰਿ ॥੧੩॥
taa ke aage her mai kahaa bichaaree naar |13|Before that, see what I am a thoughtful woman. 13.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਜਬ ਮੇਰੋ ਤਿਨ ਰੂਪ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
jab mero tin roop nihaaraa |When he saw my form
ਸਰ ਅਨੰਗ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਤਿਹ ਮਾਰਾ ॥
sar anang tab hee tih maaraa |Only then Kam Dev shot him with an arrow.
ਜੋਰਾਵਰੀ ਮੋਹਿ ਗਹਿ ਲੀਨਾ ॥
joraavaree mohi geh leenaa |He grabbed me by force
ਬਲ ਸੌ ਦਾਬਿ ਰਾਨ ਤਰ ਦੀਨਾ ॥੧੪॥
bal sau daab raan tar deenaa |14|And forcefully pressed the thighs ('thighs') down. 14.
ਮੋਰ ਧਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪ ਬਚਾਯੋ ॥
mor dharam prabh aap bachaayo |My religion was saved by the Lord himself
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਦਰਸੁ ਤਿਹਾਰੋ ਪਯੋ ॥
jaa te daras tihaaro payo |By doing which you got your deedar (i.e. you arrived on time).
ਜੌ ਤੂੰ ਅਬ ਇਹ ਠੌਰ ਨ ਆਤੋ ॥
jau toon ab ih tthauar na aato |If you do not come here at this time
ਜੋਰਾਵਰੀ ਜਾਰ ਭਜਿ ਜਾਤੋ ॥੧੫॥
joraavaree jaar bhaj jaato |15|Then the friend would have indulged forcefully. 15.
ਅਬ ਮੁਰਿ ਏਕ ਪਰੀਛਾ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
ab mur ek pareechhaa leejai |Now you take a test of mine
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਦੂਰਿ ਚਿਤ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
jaa te door chit bhram keejai |By which (you) remove the illusion of your mind.
ਮੂਤ੍ਰ ਜਰਤ ਜੌ ਦਿਯਾ ਨਿਹਾਰੋ ॥
mootr jarat jau diyaa nihaaro |(If you see the lamp lit by my urine,
ਤਬ ਹਸਿ ਹਸਿ ਮੁਹਿ ਸਾਥ ਬਿਹਾਰੋ ॥੧੬॥
tab has has muhi saath bihaaro |16|So laugh and laugh with me. 16.
ਪਾਤ੍ਰ ਏਕ ਤਟ ਮੂਤ੍ਰਿਯੋ ਜਾਈ ॥
paatr ek tatt mootriyo jaaee |She went to a pot to urinate
ਜਾ ਮੈ ਰਾਖ ਤੇਲ ਕੋ ਆਈ ॥
jaa mai raakh tel ko aaee |In which she came with oil.
ਪਿਯ ਮੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਤੋ ਸੌ ਅਤਿ ਡਰਾ ॥
piy mur chit to sau at ddaraa |(Then the husband started saying) Hey dear! My mind is too afraid of you,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਲਘੁ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਮੈ ਕਰਾ ॥੧੭॥
taa te lagh at hee mai karaa |17|So I have passed a lot of urine ('Laghu'). 17.
ਲਘ ਕੋ ਕਰੈ ਪਾਤ੍ਰ ਸਭ ਭਰਾ ॥
lagh ko karai paatr sabh bharaa |The entire vessel was filled with urine
ਬਾਕੀ ਬਚਤ ਮੂਤ੍ਰ ਭੂਅ ਪਰਾ ॥
baakee bachat mootr bhooa paraa |And the remaining urine has flowed on the ground.
ਤੁਮਰੋ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਅਧਿਕ ਬਲਵਾਨਾ ॥
tumaro traas adhik balavaanaa |Your fear is so strong
