ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਮਿਸਰੀ ਕੇ ਹੀਰਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਯੋ ॥
misaree ke heeraa kar liyo |(He) took the Egyptian diamond in his hand
ਲੈ ਹਜਰਤਿ ਕੇ ਹਾਜਰ ਕਿਯੋ ॥
lai hajarat ke haajar kiyo |And took it and presented it to the king.
ਸਾਹਜਹਾ ਤਿਹ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਚੀਨੋ ॥
saahajahaa tih kachhoo na cheeno |Shahjahan did not recognize that (diamond).
ਤੀਸ ਹਜਾਰ ਰੁਪੈਯਾ ਦੀਨੋ ॥੮॥
tees hajaar rupaiyaa deeno |8|And gave thirty thousand rupees.8.
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਸੌ ਸਾਹਹਿ ਛਲਿ ਗਈ ॥
eih chhal sau saaheh chhal gee |With this trick (that woman) tricked the king
ਉਠੀ ਸਭਾ ਆਵਤ ਸੋਊ ਭਈ ॥
autthee sabhaa aavat soaoo bhee |And got up from the meeting.
ਪੰਦ੍ਰਹ ਸਹਸ੍ਰ ਆਪੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਲੀਨੋ ॥
pandrah sahasr aap triy leeno |(That) woman kept fifteen thousand herself
ਪੰਦ੍ਰਹ ਸਹਸ੍ਰ ਮੀਤ ਕੋ ਦੀਨੋ ॥੯॥
pandrah sahasr meet ko deeno |9|And gave it to fifteen thousand friends. 9.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਸਾਹਜਹਾ ਛਲਿ ਮੀਤ ਸੌ ਕਾਮ ਕਲੋਲ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
saahajahaa chhal meet sau kaam kalol kamaae |By deceiving Shah Jahan and having sex with Mitra
ਧਾਮ ਆਨਿ ਪਹੁਚਤ ਭਈ ਸਕਿਯੋ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਪਾਇ ॥੧੦॥
dhaam aan pahuchat bhee sakiyo na koaoo paae |10|She came to her house. No one could find (his secret). 10.

eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade ik sau unaanavo charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |189|3589|afajoon|Here ends the 189th chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 189.3589. goes on

ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਗ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਗਈ ॥
eik din baag chanchalaa gee |One day the women went to the garden
ਹਸਿ ਹਸਿ ਬਚਨ ਬਖਾਨਤ ਭਈ ॥
has has bachan bakhaanat bhee |And started talking laughingly.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਿਸਿ ਰਾਜ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤਹਾ ॥
sree nis raaj prabhaa triy tahaa |There was a lady named Raj Prabha.
ਐਸੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ਉਹਾ ॥੧॥
aaisee bhaat uchaariyo uhaa |1|He said there like this.1.
ਜੌ ਰਾਜੇ ਤੇ ਬਾਰਿ ਭਿਰਾਊ ॥
jau raaje te baar bhiraaoo |If (I) draw water from the king
ਅਪਨੀ ਝਾਟੈ ਸਭੈ ਮੁੰਡਾਊ ॥
apanee jhaattai sabhai munddaaoo |And remove all your worries from him.
ਤਬ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਹੋਡ ਸਕਲ ਤੁਮ ਹਾਰਹੁ ॥
tab triy hodd sakal tum haarahu |Then O women! You will lose all bets.
ਨਿਜੁ ਨੈਨਨ ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ ਨਿਹਾਰਹੁ ॥੨॥
nij nainan ih charit nihaarahu |2|See this character (of mine) with your own eyes. 2.
ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਕੈ ਸੁਭ ਭੇਸ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥
yau keh kai subh bhes banaayo |By saying this he made a beautiful disguise
ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵਨ ਕੋ ਬਿਰਮਾਯੋ ॥
dev adevan ko biramaayo |And beguiled the gods and demons (with her beauty).
ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਬ ਆਯੋ ॥
charitr singh raajaa jab aayo |When Charitra Singh Raja came
ਸੁਨਿ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੩॥
sun ih bachan chanchalaa paayo |3|So the women heard this (that is, the arrival of the king was known). 3.
ਬੈਠ ਝਰੋਖਾ ਦਈ ਦਿਖਾਈ ॥
baitth jharokhaa dee dikhaaee |He sat in the window and showed it to the king.
ਰਾਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਰੂਪ ਉਰਝਾਈ ॥
raajaa rahe roop urajhaaee |The king was fascinated by her appearance.
ਏਕ ਬਾਰ ਇਹ ਕੌ ਜੌ ਪਾਊ ॥
ek baar ih kau jau paaoo |(The king started thinking in his mind that) If once I get it
ਜਨਮ ਸਹਸ੍ਰ ਲਗੇ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਊ ॥੪॥
janam sahasr lage bal jaaoo |4|So I will go to war (from this) till a thousand births. 4.
ਪਠੈ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾਈ ॥
patthai sahacharee lee bulaaee |He sent the maid and called him
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਹਿਤ ਰਸ ਰੀਤੁਪਜਾਈ ॥
preet sahit ras reetupajaaee |And created Rati Rasa with love.
ਅਬਲਾ ਤਬ ਮੁਰਛਿਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਈ ॥
abalaa tab murachhit hvai gee |The woman then fainted
ਪਾਨਿ ਪਾਨਿ ਉਚਰਤ ਮੁਖ ਭਈ ॥੫॥
paan paan ucharat mukh bhee |5|And started saying water from the mouth. 5.
ਉਠ ਕਰਿ ਆਪੁ ਰਾਵ ਤਬ ਗਯੋ ॥
autth kar aap raav tab gayo |Then the king himself got up and went
ਤਾ ਕਹ ਪਾਨਿ ਪਯਾਵਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
taa kah paan payaavat bhayo |And watered him.
ਪਾਨਿ ਪਿਏ ਬਹੁਰੇ ਸੁਧਿ ਭਈ ॥
paan pie bahure sudh bhee |He regained consciousness by drinking water
ਰਾਜੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਚੁੰਬਨ ਤਿਹ ਲਈ ॥੬॥
raajai fir chunban tih lee |6|And the king kissed her again. 6.
ਜਬ ਸੁਧਿ ਮੈ ਅਬਲਾ ਕਛੁ ਆਈ ॥
jab sudh mai abalaa kachh aaee |When that woman came to her senses
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਕਾਮ ਕੀ ਕੇਲ ਮਚਾਈ ॥
bahur kaam kee kel machaaee |Then he started playing sports.
ਦੋਊ ਤਰਨ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਹਾਰੈ ॥
doaoo taran na koaoo haarai |Both were young, neither was losing.
ਯੌ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ਬਿਹਾਰੈ ॥੭॥
yau raajaa tih saath bihaarai |7|In this way the king was having fun with him.7.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਾਲ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥
bahur baal ih bhaat uchaaree |Then the woman said thus,
ਸੁਨੋ ਰਾਵ ਤੁਮ ਬਾਤ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥
suno raav tum baat hamaaree |O Rajan! You listen to me.
ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੀ ਝਾਟਿ ਨ ਮੂੰਡੀ ਜਾਈ ॥
triy kee jhaatt na moonddee jaaee |I have heard in Vedas Puranas
ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨਨ ਮੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੮॥
bed puraanan mai sun paaee |8|That a woman's hair is not shaved. 8.
ਹਸਿ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਵ ਬਚਨ ਯੌ ਠਾਨ੍ਰਯੋ ॥
has kar raav bachan yau tthaanrayo |The king laughed and said (to this)
ਮੈ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਜਿਯ ਸਾਚ ਨ ਜਾਨ੍ਯੋ ॥
mai apune jiy saach na jaanayo |I do not believe the truth in my mind.
