ਜਿਨਿ ਏਕ ਕੋ ਨ ਪਛਾਨ ॥
jin ek ko na pachhaan |

He who has not recognized (that) one,

ਤਿਹ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਜਨਮ ਬਿਤਾਨ ॥੪॥
tih brithaa janam bitaan |4|

He, who has not recognized that one Lord, he wasted his birth.4.

ਬਿਨੁ ਏਕ ਦੂਜ ਨ ਔਰ ॥
bin ek dooj na aauar |

There is no other than one

ਜਲ ਬਾ ਥਲੇ ਸਬ ਠਉਰ ॥
jal baa thale sab tthaur |

Expect that one Lord, there is none other in water, on plain and all the places

ਜਿਨਿ ਏਕ ਸਤਿ ਨ ਜਾਨ ॥
jin ek sat na jaan |

He who did not consider the One (God) as true,

ਸੋ ਜੂਨਿ ਜੂਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਨ ॥੫॥
so joon joon bhramaan |5|

He who had not recognized the One Reality, he only roamed away amongst the Yogis.5.

ਤਜਿ ਏਕ ਜਾਨਾ ਦੂਜ ॥
taj ek jaanaa dooj |

(He who) knows the one without knowing the other,

ਮਮ ਜਾਨਿ ਤਾਸੁ ਨ ਸੂਝ ॥
mam jaan taas na soojh |

He who leaving the one, believed in another one, in my view, he is devoid of wisdom

ਤਿਹ ਦੂਖ ਭੂਖ ਪਿਆਸ ॥
tih dookh bhookh piaas |

He is surrounded by pain, hunger and thirst.

ਦਿਨ ਰੈਨਿ ਸਰਬ ਉਦਾਸ ॥੬॥
din rain sarab udaas |6|

He will be surrounded by suffering, hunger, thirst and anxiety throughout day and night.6.

ਨਹਿੰ ਚੈਨ ਐਨ ਸੁ ਵਾਹਿ ॥
nahin chain aain su vaeh |

He will not find comfort at home,

ਨਿਤ ਰੋਗ ਹੋਵਤ ਤਾਹਿ ॥
nit rog hovat taeh |

He will never get peace and will always be surrounded by ailments

ਅਤਿ ਦੂਖ ਭੂਖ ਮਰੰਤ ॥
at dookh bhookh marant |

Will always die in hunger,

ਨਹੀ ਚੈਨ ਦਿਵਸ ਬਿਤੰਤ ॥੭॥
nahee chain divas bitant |7|

He will always suffer death on account of suffering and hunger, he will always remain restless.7.

ਤਨ ਪਾਦ ਕੁਸਟ ਚਲੰਤ ॥
tan paad kusatt chalant |

He will have leprosy on his feet

ਬਪੁ ਗਲਤ ਨਿਤ ਗਲੰਤ ॥
bap galat nit galant |

The leprosy will prevail in his body and all his body will rot

ਨਹਿੰ ਨਿਤ ਦੇਹ ਅਰੋਗ ॥
nahin nit deh arog |

(His) body will not be healthy every day

ਨਿਤਿ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਪੌਤ੍ਰਨ ਸੋਗ ॥੮॥
nit putr pauatran sog |8|

His body will not remain health and his foundness for sons and grandson will always afflict him.8.

ਨਿਤ ਨਾਸ ਤਿਹ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ॥
nit naas tih parivaar |

(His) family (will be destroyed) daily.

ਨਹਿ ਅੰਤ ਦੇਹ ਉਧਾਰ ॥
neh ant deh udhaar |

His family will be destroyed and at the and, his body will not be redeemed also

ਨਿਤ ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਗ੍ਰਸੰਤ ॥
nit rog sog grasant |

He will be afflicted with daily diseases and sorrows.

ਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸ੍ਵਾਨ ਅੰਤ ਮਰੰਤ ॥੯॥
mrit svaan ant marant |9|

He will always be engrossed in disease and sorrow, ultimately, he will die the death of a dog .9.

ਤਬ ਜਾਨਿ ਕਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ॥
tab jaan kaal prabeen |

When Samarth Kal Purakh came to know (the arrogance of Mir Mehndi),

ਤਿਹ ਮਾਰਿਓ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਨ ॥
tih maario kar deen |

Reflecting over the egoistic state of Mir Mehdi the Unmanifested Brahman thought of killing him

ਇਕੁ ਕੀਟ ਦੀਨ ਉਪਾਇ ॥
eik keett deen upaae |

(Kal Purukh) produced a worm

ਤਿਸ ਕਾਨਿ ਪੈਠੋ ਜਾਇ ॥੧੦॥
tis kaan paittho jaae |10|

He created an insect, which entered the ear of Mir Mehdi.10.

ਧਸਿ ਕੀਟ ਕਾਨਨ ਬੀਚ ॥
dhas keett kaanan beech |

A worm entered (his) ear

ਤਿਸੁ ਜੀਤਯੋ ਜਿਮਿ ਨੀਚ ॥
tis jeetayo jim neech |

Entering his ear, that insect conquered that base fellow, and

ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤਿ ਦੇਇ ਦੁਖ ਤਾਹਿ ॥
bahu bhaat dee dukh taeh |

He suffered a lot

ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਮਾਰਿਓ ਵਾਹਿ ॥੧੧॥
eih bhaat maario vaeh |11|

Giving him various types of suffering, killed him in this way.11.

ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੇ ਮਹਿਦੀ ਮੀਰ ਬਧ ॥
eit sree bachitr naattak granthe mahidee meer badh |

End of the description of twenty-fourth incarnation in Bachittar natak.

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik oankaar satigur prasaad |

The Lord is One and He can be attained through the grace of the true Guru.

ਅਥ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਕਥਨੰ ॥
ath brahamaa avataar kathanan |

TOMAR STANZA

ਸਤਿਜੁਗਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਉਪਰਾਜਿ ॥
satijug fir uparaaj |

Satyuga was then established (on earth).

ਸਬ ਨਉਤਨੈ ਕਰਿ ਸਾਜ ॥
sab nautanai kar saaj |

The age the truth was established again and all the new creation appeared

ਸਬ ਦੇਸ ਅਉਰ ਬਿਦੇਸ ॥
sab des aaur bides |

Of all countries and foreign countries

ਉਠਿ ਧਰਮ ਲਾਗਿ ਨਰੇਸ ॥੧॥
autth dharam laag nares |1|

The kings of all the countries because religious.1.

ਕਲਿ ਕਾਲ ਕੋਪਿ ਕਰਾਲ ॥
kal kaal kop karaal |

Kali Yuga is a fierce and angry time.

ਜਗੁ ਜਾਰਿਆ ਤਿਹ ਜ੍ਵਾਲ ॥
jag jaariaa tih jvaal |

O the Lord of breadful fury! there is none else except thee,

ਬਿਨੁ ਤਾਸੁ ਔਰ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
bin taas aauar na koee |

There is none other than Him (Supreme Power).

ਸਬ ਜਾਪ ਜਾਪੋ ਸੋਇ ॥੨॥
sab jaap jaapo soe |2|

Who created the Iron Age and its fires burning the word, everyone should repeat His Name.2.

ਜੇ ਜਾਪ ਹੈ ਕਲਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
je jaap hai kal naam |

Those who chant the Name in Kaliyuga,

ਤਿਸੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੁਇ ਹੈ ਕਾਮ ॥
tis pooran hue hai kaam |

Those who will remember the Name of the Lord in the Iron Age, all their tasks will be fulfilled

ਤਿਸੁ ਦੂਖ ਭੂਖ ਨ ਪਿਆਸ ॥
tis dookh bhookh na piaas |

(Then) they do not feel pain, hunger and thirst.

ਨਿਤਿ ਹਰਖੁ ਕਹੂੰ ਨ ਉਦਾਸ ॥੩॥
nit harakh kahoon na udaas |3|

They will never experience suffering, hunger and anxiety and will always remain happy.3.

ਬਿਨੁ ਏਕ ਦੂਸਰ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
bin ek doosar naeh |

(That) none other than one;

ਸਭ ਰੰਗ ਰੂਪਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
sabh rang roopan maeh |

There is none else except the One Lord pervanding all the colours and forms

ਜਿਨ ਜਾਪਿਆ ਤਿਹਿ ਜਾਪੁ ॥
jin jaapiaa tihi jaap |

Those who have chanted his chant,

ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਸਹਾਈ ਆਪ ॥੪॥
tin ke sahaaee aap |4|

He helps those who repeat His Name.4.

ਜੇ ਤਾਸੁ ਨਾਮ ਜਪੰਤ ॥
je taas naam japant |

who chant his name,

ਕਬਹੂੰ ਨ ਭਾਜਿ ਚਲੰਤ ॥
kabahoon na bhaaj chalant |

Those who remember His Name, never run away

ਨਹਿ ਤ੍ਰਾਸੁ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਸਤ੍ਰ ॥
neh traas taa ko satr |

They do not fear the enemy.

ਦਿਸਿ ਜੀਤਿ ਹੈ ਗਹਿ ਅਤ੍ਰ ॥੫॥
dis jeet hai geh atr |5|

They do not fear the enemies and wearing their arms and weapons, they conquer all the direction.5.

ਤਿਹ ਭਰੇ ਧਨ ਸੋ ਧਾਮ ॥
tih bhare dhan so dhaam |

Their houses are full of wealth.

ਸਭ ਹੋਹਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਮ ॥
sabh hohi pooran kaam |

Their houses are filled with wealth and all their tasks are fulfilled

ਜੇ ਏਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੰਤ ॥
je ek naam japant |

who meditate on one name,

ਨਾਹਿ ਕਾਲ ਫਾਸਿ ਫਸੰਤ ॥੬॥
naeh kaal faas fasant |6|

Those who remember the Name of one Lord, they are not entrapped in the noose of death.6.

ਜੇ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤ ਅਨੇਕ ॥
je jeev jant anek |

which are many kinds of creatures,

ਤਿਨ ਮੋ ਰਹ੍ਯੋ ਰਮਿ ਏਕ ॥
tin mo rahayo ram ek |

In all of them there is one (Lord) Rama.

ਬਿਨੁ ਏਕ ਦੂਸਰ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
bin ek doosar naeh |

There is none other than the One (Lord).

ਜਗਿ ਜਾਨਿ ਲੈ ਜੀਅ ਮਾਹਿ ॥੭॥
jag jaan lai jeea maeh |7|

That One Lord is pervading all the created beings and the whole world should know that there is none else except Him.7.

ਭਵ ਗੜਨ ਭੰਜਨ ਹਾਰ ॥
bhav garran bhanjan haar |

The maker and breaker of the world

ਹੈ ਏਕ ਹੀ ਕਰਤਾਰ ॥
hai ek hee karataar |

(He) is the One Creator.

ਬਿਨੁ ਏਕ ਅਉਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
bin ek aaur na koe |

There is none other than (that) One.

ਸਬ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗੀ ਸੋਇ ॥੮॥
sab roop rangee soe |8|

The One Lord is the creator as well as the Destroyer of the whole world and there is one other in all the colours and forms.8.

ਕਈ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਪਾਨਪਹਾਰ ॥
kee indr paanapahaar |

(At his door) many Indras are water-carriers,

ਕਈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੇਦ ਉਚਾਰ ॥
kee braham bed uchaar |

Many Brahmas are reciters of the Vedas.

ਕਈ ਬੈਠਿ ਦੁਆਰਿ ਮਹੇਸ ॥
kee baitth duaar mahes |

How many Mahesh are sitting on the door.

ਕਈ ਸੇਸਨਾਗ ਅਸੇਸ ॥੯॥
kee sesanaag ases |9|

Many indras are in His service, many Brahmas recite the Vedas, many Shivas sit at His Gate and many Sheshnagas remain present in order to become His bed.9.
