ਭਯੋ ਬੀਰਖੇਤੰ ਕਥੈ ਕਉਣ ਖੰਤੰ ॥੩੨੬॥
bhayo beerakhetan kathai kaun khantan |326|

The war continued for the years of ten lakh ages and innumerable warriors died.99.326.

ਤੇਰੇ ਜੋਰ ਸੰਗ ਕਹਤਾ ॥
tere jor sang kahataa |

I UTTER WITH YOUR POWER :

ਭਈ ਅੰਧ ਧੁੰਧੰ ਮਚ੍ਯੋ ਬੀਰ ਖੇਤੰ ॥
bhee andh dhundhan machayo beer khetan |

There was blind and rash destruction in war

ਨਚੀ ਜੁਗਣੀ ਚਾਰੁ ਚਉਸਠ ਪ੍ਰੇਤੰ ॥
nachee juganee chaar chausatth pretan |

The sixty-four Yoginis and the fiends danced

ਨਚੀ ਕਾਲਕਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਮਖ੍ਰਯਾ ਕਰਾਲੰ ॥
nachee kaalakaa sree kamakhrayaa karaalan |

The fierce Kalika and Kamkhya are also danced.

ਡਕੰ ਡਾਕਣੀ ਜੋਧ ਜਾਗੰਤ ਜ੍ਵਾਲੰ ॥੩੨੭॥
ddakan ddaakanee jodh jaagant jvaalan |327|

The dreadful Kamakkhya like Kali danced and the Dakinis (Vampires) belched like flames.100.327.

ਮਚ੍ਯੋ ਜੋਰ ਜੁਧੰ ਹਟ੍ਰਯੋ ਨਾਹਿ ਕੋਊ ॥
machayo jor judhan hattrayo naeh koaoo |

There was terrible war and no one retraced his steps

ਬਡੇ ਛਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ ਪਤੀ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਦੋਊ ॥
badde chhatradhaaree patee chhatr doaoo |

There were many great warriors and Sovereigns there

ਖਪ੍ਯੋ ਸਰਬ ਲੋਕੰ ਅਲੋਕੰ ਅਪਾਰੰ ॥
khapayo sarab lokan alokan apaaran |

Having devoured all people and the (unseen) vast heavens,

ਮਿਟੇ ਜੁਧ ਤੇ ਏ ਨ ਜੋਧਾ ਜੁਝਾਰੰ ॥੩੨੮॥
mitte judh te e na jodhaa jujhaaran |328|

This war continued in all the worlds and then warriors were not finished even in this dreadful war.101.328.

ਚਟਪਟ ਸੁਭਟ ਬਿਕਟ ਕਟੇ ਝਟਪਟ ਭਈ ਅਭੰਗ ॥
chattapatt subhatt bikatt katte jhattapatt bhee abhang |

In that fierce fight the great warriors were chopped quickly

ਲਟਿ ਭਟ ਹਟੇ ਨ ਰਨ ਘਟ੍ਰਯੋ ਅਟਪਟ ਮਿਟ੍ਰਯੋ ਨ ਜੰਗ ॥੩੨੯॥
latt bhatt hatte na ran ghattrayo attapatt mittrayo na jang |329|

No warrior ran and retraced his steps and this war did not end.102.329.

ਬੀਸ ਲਛ ਜੁਗ ਐਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਾ ॥
bees lachh jug aait pramaanaa |

For twenty lakh yugas and twenty thousand ('Etu') the two continued to fight,

ਲਰੇ ਦੋਊ ਭਈ ਕਿਸ ਨ ਹਾਨਾ ॥
lare doaoo bhee kis na haanaa |

The war continued from both sides for twenty lakh ages, but no one was defeated

ਤਬ ਰਾਜਾ ਜੀਅ ਮੈ ਅਕੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
tab raajaa jeea mai akulaayo |

Then the king (Parasnath) became disturbed in mind.

ਨਾਕ ਚਢੇ ਮਛਿੰਦ੍ਰ ਪੈ ਆਯੋ ॥੩੩੦॥
naak chadte machhindr pai aayo |330|

Then the king got agitated and came to Matsyendra.103.330.

ਕਹਿ ਮੁਨਿ ਬਰਿ ਸਭ ਮੋਹਿ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
keh mun bar sabh mohi bichaaraa |

(And began to say) O great sage! Tell me the whole idea.

ਏ ਦੋਊ ਬੀਰ ਬਡੇ ਬਰਿਆਰਾ ॥
e doaoo beer badde bariaaraa |

(The king said), “O superb sage! instruct me both of them are great warriors

ਇਨ ਕਾ ਬਿਰੁਧ ਨਿਵਰਤ ਨ ਭਯਾ ॥
ein kaa birudh nivarat na bhayaa |

Their (mutual) opposition has not been resolved.

ਇਨੋ ਛਡਾਵਤ ਸਭ ਜਗੁ ਗਯਾ ॥੩੩੧॥
eino chhaddaavat sabh jag gayaa |331|

Their opposition does not end and with the desire to get release from them, the whole world is going to end.104.331.

ਇਨੈ ਜੁਝਾਵਤ ਸਬ ਕੋਈ ਜੂਝਾ ॥
einai jujhaavat sab koee joojhaa |

Everyone has died fighting them.

ਇਨ ਕਾ ਅੰਤ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਸੂਝਾ ॥
ein kaa ant na kaahoo soojhaa |

The whole world fought and fell on trying to kill them, but it could not know their end

ਏ ਹੈ ਆਦਿ ਹਠੀ ਬਰਿਆਰਾ ॥
e hai aad hatthee bariaaraa |

These primitives are stubborn and strong;

ਮਹਾਰਥੀ ਅਉ ਮਹਾ ਭਯਾਰਾ ॥੩੩੨॥
mahaarathee aau mahaa bhayaaraa |332|

These dreadful warriors are greatly persistent, greatly heroic and greatly terrible.105.332.

ਬਚਨੁ ਮਛਿੰਦ੍ਰ ਸੁਨਤ ਚੁਪ ਰਹਾ ॥
bachan machhindr sunat chup rahaa |

Machindra remained silent after listening to (the king's) words.

ਧਰਾ ਨਾਥ ਸਬਨਨ ਤਨ ਕਹਾ ॥
dharaa naath sabanan tan kahaa |

Hearing this Matsyendra remained silent and Parasnath etc. all of them said their things to him

ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਚਿਤ ਚਟਪਟ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਦਿਖਸਾ ॥
chakrit chit chattapatt hvai dikhasaa |

(Machindra) was surprised in Chit and immediately turned (to Paras Nath).

ਚਰਪਟ ਨਾਥ ਤਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਨਿਕਸਾ ॥੩੩੩॥
charapatt naath tadin te nikasaa |333|

There then occurred a miracle, marvelous for all and on the same day Charpatnath appeared.106.333.

ਇਤਿ ਚਰਪਟ ਨਾਥ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਣੋ ਨਾਮਹ ॥
eit charapatt naath pragattano naamah |

Now begins the description of the Praise of Primal Purusha

ਚੌਪਈ ॥

CHAUPAI

ਸੁਨਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਤੁਹਿ ਕਹੈ ਬਿਬੇਕਾ ॥
sun raajaa tuhi kahai bibekaa |

O Rajan! Listen, I call you Bibek's (Britant).

ਇਨ ਕਹ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਏਕਾ ॥
ein kah dvai jaanahu jin ekaa |

“O king! listen, I speak to you a thing of knowledge

ਏ ਅਬਿਕਾਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਵਤਾਰੀ ॥
e abikaar purakh avataaree |

These are incarnated men without defects.

ਬਡੇ ਧਨੁਰਧਰ ਬਡੇ ਜੁਝਾਰੀ ॥੩੩੪॥
badde dhanuradhar badde jujhaaree |334|

You should not consider both as one these vice-less persons are great archers and brace fighters.107.334.

ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਜਬ ਆਪ ਸੰਭਾਰਾ ॥
aad purakh jab aap sanbhaaraa |

When Adi Purakh took care of himself.

ਆਪ ਰੂਪ ਮੈ ਆਪ ਨਿਹਾਰਾ ॥
aap roop mai aap nihaaraa |

(So) saw himself in his own form.

ਓਅੰਕਾਰ ਕਹ ਇਕਦਾ ਕਹਾ ॥
oankaar kah ikadaa kahaa |

(He) once said 'Oankar' (the word),

ਭੂਮਿ ਅਕਾਸ ਸਕਲ ਬਨਿ ਰਹਾ ॥੩੩੫॥
bhoom akaas sakal ban rahaa |335|

When Primal Purusha, the Lord reflected within Himself and visualized his own form himself, He uttered the world AUMKARA, because of which the earth, the sky and the whole world was created.108.335.

ਦਾਹਨ ਦਿਸ ਤੇ ਸਤਿ ਉਪਜਾਵਾ ॥
daahan dis te sat upajaavaa |

He created truth from the right side and

ਬਾਮ ਪਰਸ ਤੇ ਝੂਠ ਬਨਾਵਾ ॥
baam paras te jhootth banaavaa |

Made falsehood on the left

ਉਪਜਤ ਹੀ ਉਠਿ ਜੁਝੇ ਜੁਝਾਰਾ ॥
aupajat hee utth jujhe jujhaaraa |

On taking birth both these warriors began to fight and

ਤਬ ਤੇ ਕਰਤ ਜਗਤ ਮੈ ਰਾਰਾ ॥੩੩੬॥
tab te karat jagat mai raaraa |336|

Since that time, they are opposing each other in the world.109.336.

ਸਹੰਸ ਬਰਖ ਜੋ ਆਯੁ ਬਢਾਵੈ ॥
sahans barakh jo aay badtaavai |

Who (someone) increases life by a thousand years
