ਕੋਪ ਕੀਯੋ ਨ ਗਹੇ ਰਿਖਿ ਪਾ ਇਹ ਸ੍ਰੀਪਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੪੬੦॥
kop keeyo na gahe rikh paa ih sreepat sree brijanaath bichaariyo |2460|Vishnu did not become angry and catching his feet, he said thus to him,2460
ਬਿਸਨੁ ਜੂ ਬਾਚ ਭ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਸੋ ॥
bisan joo baach bhrig so |Speech of Vishnu addressed to Bhrigu:
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥
savaiyaa |SWAYYA
ਪਾਇ ਕੋ ਘਾਇ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਹਿ ਕੈ ਹਸ ਕੈ ਦਿਜ ਸੋ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
paae ko ghaae rahio seh kai has kai dij so ih bhaat uchaaro |
ਬਜ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਨ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਹਮਰੋ ਲਗਿ ਪਾਇ ਦੁਖਿਓ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਹੈ ਤੁਹਿ ਮਾਰੋ ॥
bajr samaan hridai hamaro lag paae dukhio hvai hai tuhi maaro |Enduring the blow of the leg smilingly, Vishnu said to the Brahmin, “My heart is (hard) like Vajra and your foot might have been hurt
ਮਾਗਤਿ ਹਉ ਇਕ ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਦੇਹੁ ਜੁ ਪੈ ਛਿਮ ਕੈ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਹਮਾਰੋ ॥
maagat hau ik jo tum dehu ju pai chhim kai aparaadh hamaaro |“I ask for a boon from you, kindly forgive me for the crime and bestow on me this boon
ਜੇਤਕ ਰੂਪ ਧਰੋ ਜਗ ਹਉ ਤੁ ਸਦਾ ਰਹੈ ਪਾਇ ਕੋ ਚਿਹਨ ਤੁਹਾਰੋ ॥੨੪੬੧॥
jetak roop dharo jag hau tu sadaa rahai paae ko chihan tuhaaro |2461|“Whenever I incarnate in the world, then the marks of your foot may remain imprinted on my waist.”2461.
ਇਉ ਜਬ ਬੈਨ ਕਹੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਤਉ ਰਿਖਿ ਚਿਤ ਬਿਖੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
eiau jab bain kahe brij naaeik tau rikh chit bikhai sukh paayo |When Krishna said this, the sage felt extreme delight
ਕੈ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਘਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਪੁਨਿ ਆਪਨੇ ਆਸ੍ਰਮ ਮੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਯੋ ॥
kai kai pranaam ghane prabh kau pun aapane aasram mai fir aayo |He came back to his hermitage after bowing before him,
ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਕੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੋ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਕਥਾਨ ਕੋ ਭੇਦ ਸਭੈ ਇਨ ਕੋ ਸਮਝਾਯੋ ॥
rudr ko braham ko bisan kathaan ko bhed sabhai in ko samajhaayo |And the secret of Rudra, Brahma and Vishnu he brought home to everyone
ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕੋ ਜਾਪ ਜਪੈ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਹਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਸਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੨੪੬੨॥
sayaam ko jaap japai sabh hee ham sree brijanaath sahee prabh paayo |2462|And said that Krishna was in reality the Lord (God), we should all remember him.”2462.
ਜਾਪ ਕੀਯੋ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਜਬ ਯੋ ਭ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਆਇ ਕੈ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨਾਈ ॥
jaap keeyo sabh hee har ko jab yo bhrig aae kai baat sunaaee |When Bhrigu on returning related all the episode to all of them then all o
ਹੈ ਰੇ ਅਨੰਤ ਕਹਿਓ ਕਰੁਨਾਨਿਧਿ ਬੇਦ ਸਕੈ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਹਿ ਬਤਾਈ ॥
hai re anant kahio karunaanidh bed sakai nahee jaeh bataaee |F them meditated on Krishna and found that Krishna and found that Krishna was the ocean of infinite mercy and even the Vedas could not describe Him
ਕ੍ਰੋਧੀ ਹੈ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਗਰੇ ਰੁੰਡ ਮਾਲ ਕਉ ਡਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਬੈਠੋ ਹੈ ਡਿੰਭ ਜਨਾਈ ॥
krodhee hai rudr gare rundd maal kau ddaar kai baittho hai ddinbh janaaee |Rudra keeps sitting with the rosary of skulls around his neck and making an ostentation
ਤਾਹਿ ਜਪੋ ਨ ਜਪੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਸਹੀ ਠਹਰਾਈ ॥੨੪੬੩॥
taeh japo na japo har ko prabh sree brijanaath sahee tthaharaaee |2463|We shall not remember him and only remember Lord Krishna.2463.
ਜਾਪ ਜਪਿਯੋ ਸਭ ਹੂ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਜਬ ਯੌ ਭ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਆਨਿ ਰਿਖੋ ਸਮਝਾਯੋ ॥
jaap japiyo sabh hoo har ko jab yau bhrig aan rikho samajhaayo |When Bhrigu, on coming back brought home this point to everyone, then all of them remembered Krishna
ਜਿਉ ਜਗ ਭੂਤ ਪਿਸਾਚਨ ਮਾਨਤ ਤੈਸੋ ਈ ਲੈ ਇਕ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥
jiau jag bhoot pisaachan maanat taiso ee lai ik rudr banaayo |Just as the ghosts and friends are considered unwelcome in Yajna, in the same way, Rudra was established,
ਕੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਲਾ ਲੀਏ ਜਪੁ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਕਰੈ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
ko brahamaa kar maalaa lee jap taa ko karai tih ko nahee paayo |
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਕੋ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰੋ ਸੁ ਧਰਿਓ ਤਿਨ ਅਉਰ ਸਭੈ ਬਿਸਰਾਯੋ ॥੨੪੬੪॥
sree brijanaath ko dhiaan dharo su dhario tin aaur sabhai bisaraayo |2464|And it was also settled that by remembering Brahma, none will be able to realise him, therefore only meditate on Brahma and do not remember all the remaining ones.2464.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਸਮ ਸਿਕੰਧ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਗੁਲਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਬਰਨਨੰ ਨਾਮ ਧਿਆਇ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ॥
eit sree dasam sikandh puraane bachitr naattak granthe krisanaavataare bhrigulataa prasang barananan naam dhiaae samaapatam |End of chapter entitled “Description of the episode of the striking of leg by Bhrigu” in Krishnavatara (based on Dasham Skandh Purana) in Bachittar Natak.
ਅਥ ਪਾਰਥ ਦਿਜ ਕੇ ਨਮਿਤ ਚਿਖਾ ਸਾਜ ਆਪ ਜਲਨ ਲਗਾ ॥
ath paarath dij ke namit chikhaa saaj aap jalan lagaa |Preparation of the funeral pyre by Arjuna for the Brahmin but thinking of burning himself in it

ਇਕ ਦਿਜ ਹੁਤੋ ਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਆਯੋ ॥
eik dij huto su har ghar aayo |
ਚਿਤ ਬਿਤ ਤੇ ਅਤਿ ਸੋਕ ਜਨਾਯੋ ॥
chit bit te at sok janaayo |One Brahmin in extreme agony said at the house of Krihsna, “All my sons have been killed by Yama
ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਤ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਜਮ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
mere sut sabh hee jam maare |
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੂ ਯਾ ਜਗ ਜੀਯਤ ਤੁਹਾਰੇ ॥੨੪੬੫॥
prabh joo yaa jag jeeyat tuhaare |2465|O Lord! I am also alive in your kingdom.”2465.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਦੇਖਿ ਬ੍ਰਿਲਾਪ ਤਬੈ ਦਿਜ ਪਾਰਥ ਤਉਨ ਸਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਓਜ ਜਨਾਯੋ ॥
dekh brilaap tabai dij paarath taun samai at oj janaayo |Then Arjuna was filled with anger, looking at his lamentation and suffering
ਰਾਖਿ ਹੋ ਹਉ ਨਹਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਗਏ ਤਬ ਲਜਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਜਰਬੋ ਜੀਅ ਆਯੋ ॥
raakh ho hau neh raakhe ge tab lajat hvai jarabo jeea aayo |He, thinking this, that he could not protect him, became shy and began to think of burning himself to death
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਤਬੈ ਤਿਹ ਪੈ ਚਲਿ ਆਵਤ ਭਯੋ ਹਠ ਤੇ ਸਮਝਾਯੋ ॥
sree brijanaath tabai tih pai chal aavat bhayo hatth te samajhaayo |
ਤਾਹੀ ਕਉ ਲੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਆਪਿ ਅਰੂੜਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਥ ਪੈ ਤਿਨ ਓਰਿ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥੨੪੬੬॥
taahee kau lai sang aap aroorrat hvai rath pai tin or sidhaayo |2466|At that time, Krishna reached there and making him understand, he mounted on the chariot and he started taking him alongwith him.2466.
ਗਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਚਲ ਕੈ ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਅੰਧਿਆਰ ਘਨੋ ਜਿਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
gayo har jee chal kai tih tthaa andhiaar ghano jih drisatt na aavai |
ਦ੍ਵਾਦਸ ਸੂਰ ਚੜੈ ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਤੁ ਸਭੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਤਮ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
dvaadas soor charrai tih tthaa tu sabhai tin kee gat hvai tam jaavai |On going, Krishna reached a place, where there was such a pitch dark, that if twelve suns would rise and then that darkness could have ended
ਪਾਰਥ ਤਾਹੀ ਚੜਿਯੋ ਰਥ ਪੈ ਡਰਪਾਤਿ ਭਯੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਯੌ ਸਮਝਾਵੈ ॥
paarath taahee charriyo rath pai ddarapaat bhayo prabh yau samajhaavai |Explaining to the frightened Arjuna, Krishna said, “Do not be anxious
ਚਿੰਤ ਕਰੋ ਨ ਸੁਦਰਸਨਿ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਦਿਪੈ ਜਦ ਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨੪੬੭॥
chint karo na sudarasan chakr dipai jad hee har maarag paavai |2467|We shall be able to see the path in the light of the discus.”2467.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਜਹਾ ਸੇਖਸਾਈ ਥੋ ਸੋਯੋ ॥
jahaa sekhasaaee tho soyo |
ਅਹਿ ਆਸਨ ਪਰ ਸਭ ਦੁਖੁ ਖੋਯੋ ॥
eh aasan par sabh dukh khoyo |They reached there where the Lord of all was sleeping on the bed of Sheshnaga
ਜਗਯੋ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਦਰਸਾਯੋ ॥
jagayo sayaam jab hee darasaayo |
ਅਪਨੇ ਮਨ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੨੪੬੮॥
apane man at hee sukh paayo |2468|Seeing Krishna, he woke up and was extremely pleased.2468.
ਕਿਹ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਠਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਏ ॥
kih kaaran ih tthaa har aae |
ਹਮ ਜਾਨਤ ਹਮ ਅਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ॥
ham jaanat ham ab sukh paae |“O Krishna! how you have come here? I have been pleased on knowing this, when you go, take the Brahmin boys with you
ਜਾਨਤ ਦਿਜ ਬਾਲਕ ਅਬ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
jaanat dij baalak ab leejai |
ਏਕ ਘਰੀ ਇਹ ਠਾ ਸੁਖ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੨੪੬੯॥
ek gharee ih tthaa sukh deejai |2469|Sit down here for a while and give me the pleasure of your presence.”2469.

tab tih kau e bachan sunaae |
ਜਾਤ ਜਾਇ ਦਿਜ ਬਾਲਕ ਦੈ ਹੋ ॥
jaat jaae dij baalak dai ho |
