ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨਹਿ ਨੈਕੁ ਬਿਚਰੋ ॥੧੧॥
bhed abhed neh naik bicharo |11|(In it) do not consider any kind of difference. 11.
ਜਬ ਹੀ ਘਾਤ ਨਾਰਿ ਤਿਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
jab hee ghaat naar tin paaee |When that woman got a chance,
ਬਾਜੂ ਬੰਦ ਲਯੋ ਸਰਕਾਈ ॥
baajoo band layo sarakaaee |So slipped the armband.
ਅਪਨੀ ਕਬਜ ਕਾਢਿ ਕਰਿ ਲਈ ॥
apanee kabaj kaadt kar lee |Withdraw your receipt ('possession').
ਸਤ ਕੀ ਡਾਰਿ ਤਵਨ ਮੈ ਗਈ ॥੧੨॥
sat kee ddaar tavan mai gee |12|And a hundred (written in rupees) was put in it. 12.
ਕਿਤਕ ਦਿਨਨ ਕਹਿ ਦੇਹ ਰੁਪਇਯਾ ॥
kitak dinan keh deh rupeiyaa |After how many days (Shah) asked to give Rs
ਪਠੈ ਦਯੋ ਇਕ ਤਾਹਿ ਮਨਇਯਾ ॥
patthai dayo ik taeh maneiyaa |And there sent a man ('Manaiya' man).
ਏਕ ਹਜਾਰ ਤਹਾ ਤੋ ਲ੍ਯਾਵਹੁ ॥
ek hajaar tahaa to layaavahu |That (he) should bring one thousand rupees from there
ਆਨਿ ਬਨਿਜ ਕੋ ਕਾਜ ਚਲਾਵਹੁ ॥੧੩॥
aan banij ko kaaj chalaavahu |13|And bring it and run the business. 13.
ਤਿਨਕ ਹਜਾਰ ਨ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਦਿਯਾ ॥
tinak hajaar na taa kau diyaa |She (the woman) did not give him one thousand rupees.
ਜਿਯ ਮੈ ਕੋਪ ਸਾਹ ਤਬ ਕਿਯਾ ॥
jiy mai kop saah tab kiyaa |Then Shah got angry in his heart.
ਬਾਧਿ ਲੈ ਗਯੋ ਤਾ ਕਹ ਤਹਾ ॥
baadh lai gayo taa kah tahaa |He tied him and took him there
ਕਾਜੀ ਕੋਟਵਾਰ ਥੋ ਜਹਾ ॥੧੪॥
kaajee kottavaar tho jahaa |14|Where Qazi and Kotwal were. 14.
ਮੋ ਤੇ ਬੀਸ ਲਾਖ ਇਨ ਲਿਯਾ ॥
mo te bees laakh in liyaa |He took twenty lakhs (rupees) from me.
ਅਬ ਇਨ ਮੁਝੈ ਹਜਾਰ ਨ ਦਿਯਾ ॥
ab in mujhai hajaar na diyaa |Now it didn't even give me a thousand.
ਕਹੀ ਸਭੋ ਸਰਖਤ ਤਿਹ ਹੇਰੋ ॥
kahee sabho sarakhat tih hero |All said, see its receipt.
ਇਨ ਕੋ ਅਬ ਹੀ ਨ੍ਯਾਇ ਨਿਬੇਰੋ ॥੧੫॥
ein ko ab hee nayaae nibero |15|Do justice to them now. 15.
ਛੋਰਿ ਸਰਖਤਹਿ ਸਭਨ ਨਿਹਾਰੋ ॥
chhor sarakhateh sabhan nihaaro |Everyone saw the receipt after opening it.
ਰੁਪਯਾ ਸੌ ਇਕ ਤਹਾ ਬਿਚਾਰੋ ॥
rupayaa sau ik tahaa bichaaro |Saw only one hundred rupees (written) there.
ਸਾਚਾ ਤੇ ਝੂਠਾ ਤਿਹ ਕਿਯਾ ॥
saachaa te jhootthaa tih kiyaa |(He) made the true false
ਸਭ ਧਨੁ ਹਰੋ ਕਾਢਿ ਤਿਹ ਦਿਯਾ ॥੧੬॥
sabh dhan haro kaadt tih diyaa |16|And (he) took all the money (which he) had withdrawn and given to him. 16.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਚਨ ਤਿਨ ਨਾਰਿ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥
bahur bachan tin naar uchaare |Then the woman said to Shah,
ਮੈ ਨ ਰਹਤ ਹੌ ਗਾਵ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ॥
mai na rahat hau gaav tihaare |I will not stay in your village anymore.
ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਜਾਤ ਤਹਾ ਤੇ ਭਈ ॥
yau keh jaat tahaa te bhee |After saying this, she left.
ਸੋਫੀ ਯਹਿ ਕੂਟਿ ਭੰਗੇਰੀ ਗਈ ॥੧੭॥
sofee yeh koott bhangeree gee |17|(She) robbed and took Sophie who was drinking bhang. 17.

ਨਿਰਧਨ ਤੇ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਭੀ ਕਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਧਨ ਕੀ ਹਾਨਿ ॥
niradhan te dhanavant bhee kar tih dhan kee haan |By wasting (ie robbing) his money, she became rich from penniless.
ਸੋਫੀ ਕਹ ਅਮਲਿਨ ਛਰਾ ਦੇਖਤ ਸਕਲ ਜਹਾਨ ॥੧੮॥

ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੇਤੁ ਰਾਜਾ ਇਕ ਪੂਰਬ ॥

ਜਿਹ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਰਥ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਅਪੂਰਬ ॥
jih bachitr rath putr apoorab |Who had an incredible son named Bachitra Ratha.
ਚਿਤ੍ਰਾਪੁਰ ਨਗਰ ਤਿਹ ਸੋਹੈ ॥
chitraapur nagar tih sohai |His Chitrapur city was beautiful
ਜਿਹ ਢਿਗ ਦੇਵ ਦੈਤ ਪੁਰ ਕੋ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
jih dtig dev dait pur ko hai |1|In front of which, what were the gods and giants (meaning there were nothing)? 1.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਟਿ ਉਤਿਮ ਦੇ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
sree katt utim de tih naaree |In his house there was a woman named Kati Utimde (Dei).
ਸੂਰਜ ਵਤ ਤਿਹ ਧਾਮ ਦੁਲਾਰੀ ॥
sooraj vat tih dhaam dulaaree |He had a daughter like the sun.
ਜਿਹ ਸਮ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥
jih sam sundar naar na koee |Like whom there was no other beautiful woman.
ਆਗੇ ਭਈ ਨ ਪਾਛੇ ਹੋਈ ॥੨॥
aage bhee na paachhe hoee |2|(The same) has not happened before and will not happen later. 2.
ਬਾਨੀ ਰਾਇ ਤਹਾ ਇਕ ਸਾਹਾ ॥
baanee raae tahaa ik saahaa |There was a Shah named Bani Rai,
ਜਿਹ ਮੁਖੁ ਸਮ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਨਹਿ ਮਾਹਾ ॥
jih mukh sam sundar neh maahaa |Whose face was not as beautiful as the moon ('Maha').
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਲਜਾਰ ਰਾਇ ਸੁਤ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥
sree gulajaar raae sut taa ke |He had a son named Gulzar Rai.
ਦੇਵ ਦੈਤ ਕੋਇ ਤੁਲਿ ਨ ਵਾ ਕੇ ॥੩॥
dev dait koe tul na vaa ke |3|None of the gods and giants were equal to him. 3.
ਰਾਜ ਸੁਤਾ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਲਖਿ ਰੂਪਾ ॥
raaj sutaa taa ko lakh roopaa |Raj Kumari saw his form.
ਮੋਹਿ ਰਹੀ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਅਨੂਪਾ ॥
mohi rahee man maeh anoopaa |She fell in love with Anup in her mind.
ਏਕ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਤਹਾ ਪਠਾਈ ॥
ek sahacharee tahaa patthaaee |(He) sent a friend there.
ਜਿਹ ਤਿਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਹਾ ਲੈ ਆਈ ॥੪॥
jih tih bhaat tahaa lai aaee |4|(She went) as how she brought him there. 4.
ਮਿਲਤ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
milat kuar taa sau sukh paayo |Raj Kumari was very happy to meet him.
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥
bhaat bhaat mil bhog kamaayo |Together (with him) performed the Raman of Bhant Bhant.
ਚੁੰਬਨ ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਲੀਏ ॥
chunban bhaat bhaat ke lee |Many kinds of kisses were taken.
ਭਾਤਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਕੇ ਆਸਨ ਕੀਏ ॥੫॥
bhaat anik ke aasan kee |5|Asanas of many methods. 5.
ਤਬ ਲਗਿ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਤਹ ਆਯੋ ॥
tab lag maat pitaa tah aayo |By then his parents came there.
ਨਿਰਖਿ ਸੁਤਾ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
nirakh sutaa chit mai dukh paayo |Seeing (them), Raj Kumari felt pain in her heart.
ਕਿਹ ਛਲ ਸੌ ਇਹ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਸੰਘਾਰੋ ॥
kih chhal sau ih duhoon sanghaaro |(I started thinking that) I should kill these two by some trick
ਛਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਪਰ ਢਾਰੋ ॥੬॥
chhatr jaar ke sir par dtaaro |6|And let the umbrella hang over the head of the friend. 6.
ਦੁਹੂੰਅਨ ਕੇ ਫਾਸੀ ਗਰੁ ਡਾਰੀ ॥
duhoonan ke faasee gar ddaaree |Both of them (parents) were put in a trap
ਪਿਤਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਮਾਤਾ ਹਨਿ ਡਾਰੀ ॥
pitaa sahit maataa han ddaaree |And killed the mother along with the father.
ਫਾਸ ਕੰਠ ਤੇ ਲਈ ਨਕਾਰੀ ॥
faas kantth te lee nakaaree |(Then) took the noose from their necks
ਬੋਲਿ ਲੋਗ ਸਭ ਐਸ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥੭॥
bol log sabh aais uchaaree |7|And called people and started saying like this.7.
ਇਨ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਜੋਗ ਸਾਧਨਾ ਸਾਧੀ ॥
ein duhoon jog saadhanaa saadhee |Both of them have done Yoga Sadhana.
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਰਾਨੀ ਜੁਤ ਪਵਨ ਅਰਾਧੀ ॥
nrip raanee jut pavan araadhee |The king along with the queen has performed pranayama (i.e. offered the pranas through the dasam door).
ਬਾਰਹ ਬਰਿਸ ਬੀਤ ਹੈ ਜਬ ਹੀ ॥
baarah baris beet hai jab hee |When twelve years have passed,
ਜਗਿ ਹੈ ਛਾਡਿ ਤਾਰਿਯਹਿ ਤਬ ਹੀ ॥੮॥
jag hai chhaadd taariyeh tab hee |8|Then they will wake up after leaving samadhi. 8.
ਤਬ ਲਗਿ ਤਾਤ ਦਿਯਾ ਮੁਹਿ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
tab lag taat diyaa muhi raajaa |Until then father has given me the kingdom
ਰਾਜ ਸਾਜ ਕਾ ਸਕਲ ਸਮਾਜਾ ॥
raaj saaj kaa sakal samaajaa |And all the other trappings of the state are (also assigned).
ਤਬ ਲਗਿ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਰਾਜ ਕਮੈ ਹੋ ॥
tab lag taa ko raaj kamai ho |Until then (I) will rule their kingdom.
ਜਬ ਜਗ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਤਬ ਦੈ ਹੋ ॥੯॥
jab jag hai taa kau tab dai ho |9|When they wake up, I will give it to them. 9.
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਤਾਤ ਮਾਤ ਕਹ ਘਾਈ ॥
eih chhal taat maat kah ghaaee |Killed the parents with this trick
ਲੋਗਨ ਸੌ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਜਨਾਈ ॥
logan sau ih bhaat janaaee |And told the people thus.
ਜਬ ਅਪਨੋ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਰਾਜ ਪਕਾਯੋ ॥
jab apano drirr raaj pakaayo |When he established his kingdom.
ਛਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੇ ਸੀਸ ਫਿਰਾਯੋ ॥੧੦॥
chhatr mitr ke sees firaayo |10|(Then again) the state-umbrella swung over Mitra's head. 10.

ਤਾਤ ਮਾਤ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਹਨਿ ਦਿਯੋ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੌ ਰਾਜ ॥
taat maat ih bhaat han diyo mitr kau raaj |He killed his parents like this and gave the kingdom to his friend.
