ਨਾਰਦ ਰੁਕਮਿਨਿ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮੈ ਪਹੁਚਿਓ ਆਇ ॥
naarad rukamin ke pritham grih mai pahuchio aae |Narada reached the house of Rukmani, where Krishna was sitting
ਜਹਾ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਬੈਠੋ ਹੁਤੋ ਉਠਿ ਲਾਗੋ ਰਿਖਿ ਪਾਇ ॥੨੩੦੨॥
jahaa kaanrah baittho huto utth laago rikh paae |2302|He touched the feet of the sage.2302.
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਦੂਸਰੇ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਭੀਤਰ ਨਾਰਦ ਜਾਤ ਭਯੋ ਤਿਹਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
doosare mandir bheetar naarad jaat bhayo tihi sayaam nihaariyo |(When) Narada went to the other house, (then) he saw Krishna there too.
ਅਉਰ ਗਯੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਤਬੈ ਰਿਖਿ ਆਨੰਦ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
aaur gayo grih sayaam tabai rikh aanand hvai ih bhaat uchaariyo |Krishna saw Narada entering the second house and he also went inside the house, where the sage delightfully said this,
ਪੇਖਿ ਭਯੋ ਸਭ ਹੂ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਸੁ ਯੌ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮਹਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸੁਧਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
pekh bhayo sabh hoo grih sayaam su yau kab sayaameh granth sudhaariyo |“O Krishna! I am looking at you in all the directions in the house
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਜੂ ਕੋ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਮੁਨਿ ਈਸ ਸਹੀ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੩੦੩॥
kaanrah joo ko man mai mun ees sahee kar kai jagadees bichaariyo |2303|” Narada, in reality, considered Krishna as Lord-God.2303.
ਭਾਤਿ ਕਹੂ ਕਹੂ ਗਾਵਤ ਹੈ ਕਹੂ ਹਾਥਿ ਲੀਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬੀਨ ਬਜਾਵੈ ॥
bhaat kahoo kahoo gaavat hai kahoo haath lee prabh been bajaavai |Somewhere Krishna is seen singing and somewhere playing on his vina holdint it in his hand
ਪੀਵਤ ਹੈ ਸੁ ਕਹੂ ਮਦਰਾ ਅਉ ਕਹੂ ਲਰਕਾਨ ਕੋ ਲਾਡ ਲਡਾਵੈ ॥
peevat hai su kahoo madaraa aau kahoo larakaan ko laadd laddaavai |Somewhere he is drinking wine and somewhere he is seen playing affectionately with children
ਜੁਧੁ ਕਰੈ ਕਹੂ ਮਲਨ ਸੋ ਕਹੂ ਨੰਦਗ ਹਾਥਿ ਲੀਏ ਚਮਕਾਵੈ ॥
judh karai kahoo malan so kahoo nandag haath lee chamakaavai |Somewhere he is fighting with the wrestlers and somewhere he is rotating the mace with his hand
ਇਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੈ ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਜਿਹ ਕਉਤੁਕ ਕੋ ਕੋਊ ਪਾਰ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨੩੦੪॥
eiau har kel karai tih tthaa jih kautuk ko koaoo paar na paavai |2304|In this way, Krishna is engaged in this wondrous play, no one is comprehending the mystery of this play.2304.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਯੌ ਰਿਖਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਲਪਟਾਇ ॥
yau rikh dekh charitr har charan rahiyo lapattaae |Seeing such characters, Narada fell on the feet of Sri Krishna.
ਚਲਤ ਭਯੋ ਸਭ ਜਗਤ ਕੋ ਕਉਤਕ ਦੇਖੋ ਜਾਇ ॥੨੩੦੫॥
chalat bhayo sabh jagat ko kautak dekho jaae |2305|In this way, the sage seeing the wonderful conduct of the Lord, clung to his feet and then left in order to see the spectacle of the whole world.2305.
ਅਥ ਜਰਾਸੰਧਿ ਬਧ ਕਥਨੰ ॥
ath jaraasandh badh kathanan |Now begins the description of the killing of Jarasandh
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਮਹੂਰਤ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਉਠੈ ਉਠਿ ਨ੍ਰਹਾਇ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰੈ ॥
braham mahoorat sayaam utthai utth nrahaae hridai har dhiaan dharai |Getting up at the time of meditation, Krishna concentrated on the Lord
ਫਿਰਿ ਸੰਧਯਹਿ ਕੈ ਰਵਿ ਹੋਤ ਉਦੈ ਸੁ ਜਲਾਜੁਲਿ ਦੈ ਅਰੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਰਰੈ ॥
fir sandhayeh kai rav hot udai su jalaajul dai ar mantr rarai |Then on sunrise, he offered water (to the sun) and performing Sandhya etc. he recited mantras and as a regular routine,
ਫਿਰਿ ਪਾਠ ਕਰੈ ਸਤਸੈਇ ਸਲੋਕ ਕੋ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਨਿਤਾਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਪੈ ਨ ਟਰੈ ॥
fir paatth karai satasaie salok ko sayaam nitaaprat pai na ttarai |He read Saptshati ( a poet of seven hundred stanzas in honour of the goddess Durga)
ਤਬ ਕਰਮ ਨ ਕਉਨ ਕਰੈ ਜਗ ਮੈ ਜਬ ਆਪਨ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਜੂ ਕਰਮ ਕਰੈ ॥੨੩੦੬॥
tab karam na kaun karai jag mai jab aapan sayaam joo karam karai |2306|Well, if Krishna does not perform the regular daily karmas, then who else will perform the same?2306.
ਨ੍ਰਹਾਇ ਕੈ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਜੂ ਲਾਇ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਭਲੇ ਪਟ ਧਾਰ ਕੈ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਵੈ ॥
nrahaae kai sayaam joo laae sugandh bhale patt dhaar kai baahar aavai |Krishna comes out after bathing and wearing good clothes and (then) perfumes the clothes.
ਆਇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਊਪਰ ਬੈਠ ਕੈ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਲੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਨਿਆਉ ਕਰਾਵੈ ॥
aae singhaasan aoopar baitth kai sayaam bhalee bidh niaau karaavai |Krishna after taking bath, applying fragrance etc. and wearing garments comes out and sitting on his throne imparts justice etc. in a nice manner
ਅਉ ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਕੋ ਤਾਤ ਭਲਾ ਸੁ ਕਥਾ ਕਰਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨੰਦ ਲਾਲ ਰਿਝਾਵੈ ॥
aau sukhadev ko taat bhalaa su kathaa kar sree nand laal rijhaavai |The father of Sukhdev used to please very nicely Shri Krishna, the son of Nand Lal by causing him to listen to the exegesis of scriptures
ਤਉ ਲਗਿ ਆਇ ਕਹੀ ਬਤੀਆ ਇਕ ਸੋ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਕਬਿ ਭਾਖ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ॥੨੩੦੭॥
tau lag aae kahee bateea ik so mukh te kab bhaakh sunaavai |2307|Till then on one day whatever one messenger said to him on coming, the poet is telling that.2307.
