ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਸਮ ਸਿਕੰਧ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰੇ ਧਯਾਇ ਇਕੀਸਵੋ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥
eit sree dasam sikandh puraane bachitr naattak granthe krisanaavataare dhayaae ikeesavo samaapatam sat subham sat |End of the concluding auspicious chapter of Krishnavatara (based on Dasham Skandh Purana) in Bachittar Natak.21.

ੴ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਹ ॥
ik oankaar vaahiguroo jee kee fatah |The Lord is One and the Victory is of the True Guru.
ਅਥ ਨਰ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਕਥਨੰ ॥
ath nar avataar kathanan |Now beings the description of Nara incarnation

ਅਬ ਬਾਈਸ੍ਵੋ ਗਨਿ ਅਵਤਾਰਾ ॥
ab baaeesvo gan avataaraa |Now let me describe the twentieth incarnation
ਜੈਸ ਰੂਪ ਕਹੁ ਧਰੋ ਮੁਰਾਰਾ ॥
jais roop kahu dharo muraaraa |The kind Murari (Kalpurakh) took form.
ਨਰ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਭਯੋ ਅਰਜੁਨਾ ॥
nar avataar bhayo arajunaa |Arjuna appeared as a male avatar
ਜਿਹ ਜੀਤੇ ਜਗ ਕੇ ਭਟ ਗਨਾ ॥੧॥
jih jeete jag ke bhatt ganaa |1|Now I enumerate the twenty-second incarnation as to how he assumed this form. Arjuna became the Nara incarnation, who conquered the warriors of all the world.1.
ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਨਿਵਾਤ ਕਵਚ ਸਭ ਮਾਰੇ ॥
pritham nivaat kavach sabh maare |(He) first smote the Niwat Kavachas (Indra's opposing stalwarts).
ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਤਾਤ ਕੇ ਸੋਕ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥
eindr taat ke sok nivaare |In the first place, he by killeing all the warriors, weaing unfailing coat of mail, removed the anxiety of his father Indra
ਬਹੁਰੇ ਜੁਧ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਤਨ ਕੀਆ ॥
bahure judh rudr tan keea |Then fought with Shiva
ਰੀਝੈ ਭੂਤਿ ਰਾਟ ਬਰੁ ਦੀਆ ॥੨॥
reejhai bhoot raatt bar deea |2|Then he fought a battle with Rudra (Shiva), the king of ghosts, who bestowed a boon on him.2.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਦੁਰਜੋਧਨ ਕਹ ਮੁਕਤਾਯੋ ॥
bahur durajodhan kah mukataayo |Then Duryodhana was freed (from bonds).
ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬ ਰਾਜ ਬਿਮੁਖ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਯੋ ॥
gandhrab raaj bimukh fir aayo |Then he redeemed Duryodhana and burnt the king of Gandharavas in the fire of the Khandav forest
ਖਾਡਵ ਬਨ ਪਾਵਕਹਿ ਚਰਾਵਾ ॥
khaaddav ban paavakeh charaavaa |The khandava bun was eaten (i.e. burnt) from the fire.
ਬੂੰਦ ਏਕ ਪੈਠੈ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਵਾ ॥੩॥
boond ek paitthai neh paavaa |3|All these could not comprehend his secret.3.
ਜਉ ਕਹਿ ਕਥਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਸੁਨਾਊ ॥
jau keh kathaa prasang sunaaoo |If I tell the (whole) context of this story
ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਬਢਨ ਤੇ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਡਰਾਊ ॥
granth badtan te hridai ddaraaoo |My mind fears the enlargement of this Granth (Book) by relating all these stories,
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਥੋਰੀ ਕਥਾ ਕਹਾਈ ॥
taa te thoree kathaa kahaaee |So a little story has been told.
ਭੂਲ ਦੇਖਿ ਕਬਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਬਨਾਈ ॥੪॥
bhool dekh kab lehu banaaee |4|Therefore I have said it in brief and the poets will themselves improves my mistakes.4.
ਕਊਰਵ ਜੀਤਿ ਗਾਵ ਸਬ ਆਨੀ ॥
kaoorav jeet gaav sab aanee |Having conquered the Kauravas, wrested (from them) all the settlements,
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ॥
bhaat bhaat tin meh abhimaanee |He conquered all the places, where several proud Kauravas lived
ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਚੰਦ ਕਹੁ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਰਿਝਾਯੋ ॥
krisan chand kahu bahur rijhaayo |Then Sri Krishna was pleased
ਜਾ ਤੈ ਜੈਤਪਤ੍ਰ ਕਹੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੫॥
jaa tai jaitapatr kahu paayo |5|He pleased Krishna and obtained the certificate of victory from him.5.
ਗਾਗੇਵਹਿ ਭਾਨੁਜ ਕਹੁ ਮਾਰ੍ਯੋ ॥
gaageveh bhaanuj kahu maarayo |(Then) killed Bhishma ('Gangeva') and Karna ('Bhanuj').
ਘੋਰ ਭਯਾਨ ਅਯੋਧਨ ਪਾਰ੍ਯੋ ॥
ghor bhayaan ayodhan paarayo |He killed Bhishma, the son of Ganga and Karan, the son of Surya after fighting a dreadful war with them
ਦੁਰਜੋਧਨ ਜੀਤਾ ਅਤਿ ਬਲਾ ॥
durajodhan jeetaa at balaa |Defeated the mighty warrior Duryodhana
