ਪੀ ਪੀ ਅਮਲ ਹੋਹੁ ਮਤਵਾਰੇ ॥
pee pee amal hohu matavaare |And be satisfied by doing it.
ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਮਚਤ ਹੈ ਜੁਧ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
praat machat hai judh apaaraa |There will be an immense war in the morning
ਹ੍ਵੈ ਹੈ ਅੰਧ ਧੁੰਧ ਬਿਕਰਾਰਾ ॥੩੮॥
hvai hai andh dhundh bikaraaraa |38|Which will be in a terrible form. 38.
ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹ ਸੰਗ ਹੈ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮਾ ॥
paatisaah sang hai sangraamaa |There will be a war with the king,
ਸਭ ਹੀ ਕਰਹੁ ਕੇਸਰੀ ਜਾਮਾ ॥
sabh hee karahu kesaree jaamaa |So take all the saffron threads.
ਟਾਕਿ ਆਫੂਐ ਤੁਰੈ ਨਚਾਵੌ ॥
ttaak aafooaai turai nachaavau |Eat the opium and make the horses dance
ਸਾਗ ਝਲਕਤੀ ਹਾਥ ਫਿਰਾਵੌ ॥੩੯॥
saag jhalakatee haath firaavau |39|And swing the glimmering spears in your hand. 39.
ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਨ ਕੀ ਆਸਾ ॥
pratham tayaag praanan kee aasaa |First give up the hope of mortals
ਬਾਹਹੁ ਖੜਗ ਸਕਲ ਤਜਿ ਤ੍ਰਾਸਾ ॥
baahahu kharrag sakal taj traasaa |And throw away all fear and wield the sword.
ਪੋਸਤ ਭਾਗ ਅਫੀਮ ਚੜਾਵੋ ॥
posat bhaag afeem charraavo |Offer poppy seeds, hemp and opium
ਰੇਤੀ ਮਾਝ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਦਿਖਾਵੋ ॥੪੦॥
retee maajh charitr dikhaavo |40|And show (your) character in the sandy earth. 40.
ਹਜਰਤਿ ਜੋਰਿ ਤਹਾ ਦਲ ਆਯੋ ॥
hajarat jor tahaa dal aayo |The king joined the army and came there
ਸਕਲ ਬ੍ਯਾਹ ਕੋ ਸਾਜ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥
sakal bayaah ko saaj banaayo |And made all the arrangements for the wedding.
ਸਿਧ ਪਾਲ ਕੇ ਜਬ ਘਰਿ ਆਏ ॥
sidh paal ke jab ghar aae |At which time (they all) came to Siddh Pal's house
ਪੁਨਿ ਕੰਨ੍ਯਾ ਅਸ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਾਏ ॥੪੧॥
pun kanayaa as bachan sunaae |41|So the girls again recited the words like this. 41.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਆਵੈ ਜੋ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਨ ਤਾਹਿ ਸੰਘਾਰਿਯੈ ॥
grih aavai jo satru na taeh sanghaariyai |Even if an enemy comes into the house, he should not be killed.
ਧਾਮ ਗਏ ਇਹੁ ਮਾਰਹੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਚਾਰਿਯੈ ॥
dhaam ge ihu maarahu mantr bichaariyai |(Then) advised that it should be killed on going home.
ਲਛਿਮਨ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਹਿ ਡਾਰਿ ਡੋਰਿ ਦਿਯ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਉਚਰਿ ॥
lachhiman putreh ddaar ddor diy triy uchar |The son named Lachman was called a woman and put in a doli
ਹੋ ਸੰਗ ਸਤ ਸੈ ਖਤਿਰੇਟਾ ਗਯੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਭੇਸ ਧਰਿ ॥੪੨॥
ho sang sat sai khatirettaa gayo triy bhes dhar |42|And seven hundred and thirty brave men went with him disguised as women. 42.

ਜਬ ਤੇ ਜਾਤ ਧਾਮ ਤੇ ਭਏ ॥
jab te jaat dhaam te bhe |When they left home,
ਤਬ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਮੋ ਅਏ ॥
tab taa ke mandar mo ae |Then they came to his palace.
ਲੁਬਧਮਾਨ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਹਾਥ ਚਲਾਯੋ ॥
lubadhamaan hvai haath chalaayo |Then the king came in love and extended his hand
ਲਛਿਮਨ ਕਾਢਿ ਕਟਾਰੀ ਘਾਯੋ ॥੪੩॥
lachhiman kaadt kattaaree ghaayo |43|And Lachman took out a knife and killed him. 43.
ਤਾਕਹ ਐਸ ਕਟਾਰੀ ਮਾਰਾ ॥
taakah aais kattaaree maaraa |He was such a jerk
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਹਜਰਤਿ ਬੈਨ ਉਚਾਰਾ ॥
bahur na hajarat bain uchaaraa |That then the king could not speak.
ਤਾਕਹ ਮਾਰਿ ਭੇਸ ਨਰ ਧਾਰੋ ॥
taakah maar bhes nar dhaaro |Killed him and disguised himself as a man
ਲੋਗਨ ਮਹਿ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥੪੪॥
logan meh ih bhaat uchaaro |44|And said thus among the people. 44.
ਮੋਹਿ ਅਮਲ ਕੇ ਕਾਜ ਪਠਾਵਾ ॥
mohi amal ke kaaj patthaavaa |(The king) has sent me for the task of (bringing about).
ਤੁਮ ਤਨ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਆਪੁ ਕਹਾਵਾ ॥
tum tan ih bidh aap kahaavaa |And (they) themselves have said to you
ਧਾਮ ਆਵਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
dhaam aavane koee na paavai |That no one should come inside the palace.
ਜੋ ਆਵੈ ਸੋ ਜਾਨ ਗਵਾਵੈ ॥੪੫॥
jo aavai so jaan gavaavai |45|Whoever comes, he will lose his life. 45.
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਲਾਘਿ ਡਿਵਢੀਯਨ ਆਯੋ ॥
eih chhal laagh ddivadteeyan aayo |With this trick, he passed through the day and a half.
ਚੋਬਦਾਰ ਨਹਿ ਕਿਨੀ ਹਟਾਯੋ ॥
chobadaar neh kinee hattaayo |(He) was not removed by any Chobdar.
ਜਬ ਹੀ ਕੁਮਕ ਆਪਨੀ ਗਯੋ ॥
jab hee kumak aapanee gayo |As soon as (he) reached his auxiliary army,
ਤਬ ਹੀ ਅਮਿਤ ਕੁਲਾਹਲ ਭਯੋ ॥੪੬॥
tab hee amit kulaahal bhayo |46|Only then there was a lot of noise. 46.
ਬਾਜੈ ਲਗੇ ਤਹਾ ਸਦਿਯਾਨੇ ॥
baajai lage tahaa sadiyaane |The bells of happiness started ringing there
ਬਾਜਤ ਤਿਹੂੰ ਭਵਨ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਨੇ ॥
baajat tihoon bhavan meh jaane |Whose voice became known among the three people.
ਢੋਲ ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਮੁਚੰਗ ਨਗਾਰੇ ॥
dtol mridang muchang nagaare |Dhol, Mridang, Muchang, Nagare,
ਮੰਦਲ ਤੂਰ ਉਪੰਗ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥੪੭॥
mandal toor upang apaare |47|Mandal, trumpets and many instruments started playing. 47.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਬਜੈ ਦਮਾਮਾ ਜਬ ਲਗੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਮਾਰੂ ਧੁਨਿ ਕਾਨ ॥
bajai damaamaa jab lage sun maaroo dhun kaan |When the drums began to sound and (their) deadly sound was heard by the ears,
ਖਾਨ ਖਵੀਨ ਜਿਤੇ ਹੁਤੇ ਟੂਟਿ ਪਰੇ ਤਹ ਆਨਿ ॥੪੮॥
khaan khaveen jite hute ttoott pare tah aan |48|So as many Khans and Khavins as there were, came there broken. 48.

ਐਸੋ ਕਵਨ ਦ੍ਵੈਖਨੀ ਜਾਯੋ ॥
