ਨਾਚਤ ਸੋਊ ਮਹਾ ਹਿਤ ਸੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਇਮ ਛਾਜੈ ॥
naachat soaoo mahaa hit so kab sayaam prabhaa tin kee im chhaajai |All are dancing with great affection and are looking winsome
ਗਾਇਬ ਪੇਖਿ ਰਿਸੈ ਗਨ ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬ ਨਾਚਬ ਦੇਖਿ ਬਧੂ ਸੁਰ ਲਾਜੈ ॥੫੩੧॥
gaaeib pekh risai gan gandhrab naachab dekh badhoo sur laajai |531|Seeing them singing, the ganas and gandharvas are getting envious and seeing their dance, the wives of the gods are feeling shy.531.
ਰਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੋ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਤਹਾ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਰਸ ਖੇਲ ਕਰਿਯੋ ॥
ras kaaran ko bhagavaan tahaa kab sayaam kahai ras khel kariyo |Being deeply absorbed in love, Lord Krishna played his amorous play there
ਮਨ ਯੌ ਉਪਜੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਇਨ ਪੈ ਜਨੁ ਚੇਟਕ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਡਰਿਯੋ ॥
man yau upajee upamaa har joo in pai jan chettak mantr ddariyo |It seemes tha the has charmed all with his mantra
ਪਿਖ ਕੈ ਜਿਹ ਕੋ ਸੁਰ ਅਛ੍ਰਨ ਕੇ ਗਿਰਿ ਬੀਚ ਲਜਾਇ ਬਪੈ ਸੁ ਧਰਿਯੋ ॥
pikh kai jih ko sur achhran ke gir beech lajaae bapai su dhariyo |Seeing them, the heavenly damsels feeling shy, hid themselves silently in caves
ਗੁਪੀਆ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੇ ਡੋਲਤ ਹੈ ਇਨ ਕੋ ਮਨੂਆ ਜਬ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਹਰਿਯੋ ॥੫੩੨॥
gupeea sang kaanrah ke ddolat hai in ko manooaa jab kaanrah hariyo |532|Krishna has stolen the mind of the gopis and they are all staggering with Krishna.532.
ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਗੁਪੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਡੋਲਤ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਹੂਈਆ ॥
sayaam kahai sabh hee gupeea har ke sang ddolat hai sabh hooeea |The poet says that all the gopis are wandering with Krishna
ਗਾਵਤ ਏਕ ਫਿਰੈ ਇਕ ਨਾਚਤ ਏਕ ਫਿਰੈ ਰਸ ਰੰਗ ਅਕੂਈਆ ॥
gaavat ek firai ik naachat ek firai ras rang akooeea |Someone is singing, someone is dancing and someone is moving silently
ਏਕ ਕਹੈ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਹਰੀ ਇਕ ਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰੈ ਗਿਰਿ ਭੂਈਆ ॥
ek kahai bhagavaan haree ik lai har naam parai gir bhooeea |Someone is repeating the name of Krishna and someone, repeating his name, is falling on the earth
ਯੌ ਉਪਜੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਪਿਖਿ ਚੁੰਮਕ ਲਾਗੀ ਫਿਰੈ ਤਿਹ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਸੂਈਆ ॥੫੩੩॥
yau upajee upamaa pikh chunmak laagee firai tih ke sang sooeea |533|They are looking like needles attached to the magnet.533.
ਸੰਗ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕਹੀ ਹਸਿ ਕੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਅਧ ਰਾਤਿ ਸਮੈ ॥
sang gvaarin kaanrah kahee has kai kab sayaam kahai adh raat samai |
ਹਮ ਹੂੰ ਤੁਮ ਹੂੰ ਤਜਿ ਕੈ ਸਭ ਖੇਲ ਸਭੈ ਮਿਲ ਕੈ ਹਮ ਧਾਮਿ ਰਮੈ ॥
ham hoon tum hoon taj kai sabh khel sabhai mil kai ham dhaam ramai |At the dead of night, Krishna said to the gopis, “Let us, both you and me, run away, leaving our amorous play and be absorbed at home”
ਹਰਿ ਆਇਸੁ ਮਾਨਿ ਚਲੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੋ ਸਭ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨੀਯਾ ਕਰਿ ਦੂਰ ਗਮੈ ॥
har aaeis maan chalee grih ko sabh gvaaraneeyaa kar door gamai |Obeying Krishna, all the gopis, forgetting their suffering left for home
ਅਬ ਜਾਇ ਟਿਕੈ ਸਭ ਆਸਨ ਮੈ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਕੀ ਨੇਹ ਤਮੈ ॥੫੩੪॥
ab jaae ttikai sabh aasan mai kar kai sabh praat kee neh tamai |534|All of them came and slept in their homes and began to wait for the day-dawn.534.
ਹਰਿ ਸੋ ਅਰੁ ਗੋਪਿਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਿਧੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਅਤਿ ਖੇਲ ਭਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
har so ar gopin sang kidho kab sayaam kahai at khel bhayo hai |
ਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਸੰਗ ਆਪਨ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੈ ਖੇਲ ਕੋ ਧਾਮਿ ਅਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
lai har jee tin ko sang aapan tiaag kai khel ko dhaam ayo hai |The poet Shyam says that in this way, the love between Krishna and the gopis continued. Krishna accompanied the gopis and leaving the amorous play came back home
ਤਾ ਛਬਿ ਕੋ ਜਸੁ ਉਚ ਮਹਾ ਕਬਿ ਨੇ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਮਨਿ ਚੀਨ ਲਯੋ ਹੈ ॥
taa chhab ko jas uch mahaa kab ne apune man cheen layo hai |
ਕਾਗਜੀਏ ਰਸ ਕੋ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਸੁ ਮਨੋ ਗਨਤੀ ਕਰਿ ਜੋਰੁ ਦਯੋ ਹੈ ॥੫੩੫॥
kaagajee ras ko at hee su mano ganatee kar jor dayo hai |535|Describing the loveliness of this spectacle, the poet says that it seems to him that a grand total is being prepared, taking into account all the relevant sums.535.
ਅਥ ਕਰਿ ਪਕਰ ਖੇਲਬੋ ਕਥਨੰ ॥

ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਭਏ ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਤਜਿ ਕੈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਧਾਇ ਗਏ ਉਠਿ ਠਉਰ ਕਹਾ ਕੋ ॥
praat bhe har joo taj kai grih dhaae ge utth tthaur kahaa ko |
ਫੂਲ ਰਹੇ ਜਿਹਿ ਫੂਲ ਭਲੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਤੀਰ ਬਹੈ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਸੋ ਤਹਾ ਕੋ ॥
fool rahe jihi fool bhalee bidh teer bahai jamunaa so tahaa ko |As soon as the day dawned, Krishna left his house and went to the place, where the flowers had blossomed and Yamuna was flowing
ਖੇਲਤ ਹੈ ਸੋਊ ਭਾਤਿ ਭਲੀ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਕਛੁ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਨ ਤਾ ਕੋ ॥
khelat hai soaoo bhaat bhalee kab sayaam kahai kachh traas na taa ko |He began to play fearlessly in a nice manner
ਸੰਗ ਬਜਾਵਤ ਹੈ ਮੁਰਲੀ ਸੋਊ ਗਊਅਨ ਕੇ ਮਿਸ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿਯਾ ਕੋ ॥੫੩੬॥
sang bajaavat hai muralee soaoo gaooan ke mis gvaaraniyaa ko |536|While playing with the pretext of the cows to listen he began to play on his flute in order to call the gopis.536.
ਰਾਸ ਕਥਾ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਸੁਨ ਕੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨੁ ਸੁਤਾ ਸੋਊ ਧਾਈ ॥
raas kathaa kab sayaam kahai sun kai brikhabhaan sutaa soaoo dhaaee |The poet Shyam says that on hearing the story of the amorous play, Radha, the daughter of Brish Bhan came running
ਜਾ ਮੁਖ ਸੁਧ ਨਿਸਾਪਤਿ ਸੋ ਜਿਹ ਕੇ ਤਨ ਕੰਚਨ ਸੀ ਛਬਿ ਛਾਈ ॥
jaa mukh sudh nisaapat so jih ke tan kanchan see chhab chhaaee |The face of Radha is moonlike and her body is beautiful like gold
ਜਾ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਕਬਿ ਦੇਤ ਸਭੈ ਸੋਊ ਤਾ ਮੈ ਰਜੈ ਬਰਨੀ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਈ ॥
jaa kee prabhaa kab det sabhai soaoo taa mai rajai baranee neh jaaee |The charm of her body cannot be described
ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕੀ ਸੋਭ ਸੁ ਗੋਪਿਨ ਤੇ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਤਰੁਨੀ ਹਰਨੀ ਜਿਮ ਧਾਈ ॥੫੩੭॥
sayaam kee sobh su gopin te sun kai tarunee haranee jim dhaaee |537|On listening to the glory of Krishna from the mouth of gopis, she came running like a doe.537.

ਸੇਤ ਧਰੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨੁ ਕੀ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਜਸ ਹੀ ਕੀ ਮਨੋ ਬਾਰੀ ਐਸੀ ਰਚੀ ਹੈ ਨ ਕੋ ਦਈ ॥
set dhare saaree brikhabhaan kee kumaaree jas hee kee mano baaree aaisee rachee hai na ko dee |The daughter of Brish Bhan is wearing a white sari and it seems that God has not created anyone more winsome like her
ਰੰਭਾ ਉਰਬਸੀ ਅਉਰ ਸਚੀ ਸੁ ਮਦੋਦਰੀ ਪੈ ਐਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਕਾ ਕੀ ਜਗ ਬੀਚ ਨ ਕਛੂ ਭਈ ॥
ranbhaa urabasee aaur sachee su madodaree pai aaisee prabhaa kaa kee jag beech na kachhoo bhee |The beauty of Rambha, Urvashi, Shachi dn Mandodari is insignificant before Radha
ਮੋਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਹਾਰ ਗਰੇ ਡਾਰਿ ਰੁਚਿ ਸੋ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਜੂ ਪੈ ਚਲੀ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਰਸ ਕੇ ਲਈ ॥
motin ke haar gare ddaar ruch so sudhaar kaanrah joo pai chalee kab sayaam ras ke lee |Wearing the pearl-necklace around her neck and getting ready, she started moving towards Krishna in order to receive the nectar of love
ਸੇਤੈ ਸਾਜ ਸਾਜਿ ਚਲੀ ਸਾਵਰੇ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਕਾਜ ਚਾਦਨੀ ਮੈ ਰਾਧਾ ਮਾਨੋ ਚਾਦਨੀ ਸੀ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਈ ॥੫੩੮॥
setai saaj saaj chalee saavare kee preet kaaj chaadanee mai raadhaa maano chaadanee see hvai gee |538|She bedecked herself and looking like moonshine in moonlit night, she came towards Krish,a being absorbed in his love.

ਅੰਜਨ ਆਡਿ ਸੁ ਧਾਰ ਭਲੇ ਪਟ ਭੂਖਨ ਅੰਗ ਸੁ ਧਾਰ ਚਲੀ ॥
anjan aadd su dhaar bhale patt bhookhan ang su dhaar chalee |
ਜਨੁ ਦੂਸਰ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਕਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੀ ਜਨੁ ਰਾਜਤ ਕੰਜ ਕੀ ਸੇਤ ਕਲੀ ॥
jan doosar chandrakalaa pragattee jan raajat kanj kee set kalee |With antimony in her eyes and wearing silken garments and ornaments she appears like manifestation of the supernatural power of moon or a white bud
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਪਗ ਭੇਟਨ ਕਾਜ ਚਲੀ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਸੰਗ ਰਾਧੇ ਅਲੀ ॥
har ke pag bhettan kaaj chalee kab sayaam kahai sang raadhe alee |Radhika is going with her friend in order to touch the feet of Krishna
ਜਨੁ ਜੋਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਚੰਦ ਕੀ ਚਾਦਨੀ ਬਾਲੀ ਭਲੀ ॥੫੩੯॥
jan jot triyan gvaarin te ih chand kee chaadanee baalee bhalee |539|It appears that the other gopis are like the light of earthen lamp and she herself is like the light of the moon.539.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਢੀ ਤਿਹ ਕੀ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਨਹਿ ਨੈਕੁ ਘਟੀ ਹੈ ॥
kaanrah so preet badtee tih kee man mai at hee neh naik ghattee hai |Her love for Krishna increased and she did not retrace her step slightly
ਰੂਪ ਸਚੀ ਅਰੁ ਪੈ ਰਤਿ ਤੈ ਮਨ ਤ੍ਰੀਯਨ ਤੇ ਨਹਿ ਨੈਕੁ ਲਟੀ ਹੈ ॥
roop sachee ar pai rat tai man treeyan te neh naik lattee hai |Her beauty is like Shachi, the wife of Indra and like Rati (the wife of god of love) other women are getting envious of her
ਰਾਸ ਮੈ ਖੇਲਨਿ ਕਾਜ ਚਲੀ ਸਜਿ ਸਾਜਿ ਸਭੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਨਟੀ ਹੈ ॥
raas mai khelan kaaj chalee saj saaj sabhai kab sayaam nattee hai |She is moving like all the bedecked dancers for the amorous play
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨ ਕੈ ਘਨ ਮੈ ਮਨੋ ਰਾਧਿਕਾ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਕਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੀ ਹੈ ॥੫੪੦॥
sundar gvaarin kai ghan mai mano raadhikaa chandrakalaa pragattee hai |540|She seems like lightning amongst the clouds-like beautiful gopis.540.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਪਿਖਿ ਕੈ ਜਿਹ ਰੀਝ ਰਹਿਓ ਜਿਹ ਕੋ ਦਿਖ ਕੈ ਸਿਵ ਧ੍ਯਾਨ ਛੁਟਾ ਹੈ ॥
brahamaa pikh kai jih reejh rahio jih ko dikh kai siv dhayaan chhuttaa hai |Brahma is also getting pleased on seeing Radha and the meditation of Shiva has been disturbed
ਜਾ ਨਿਰਖੇ ਰਤਿ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੀ ਰਤਿ ਕੇ ਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਪਿਖਿ ਮਾਨ ਟੁਟਾ ਹੈ ॥
jaa nirakhe rat reejh rahee rat ke pat ko pikh maan ttuttaa hai |Rati is also feeling captivated on seeing her and the pride of the god of love has been shattered
ਕੋਕਿਲ ਕੰਠ ਚੁਰਾਇ ਲੀਯੋ ਜਿਨਿ ਭਾਵਨ ਕੋ ਸਭ ਭਾਵ ਲੁਟਾ ਹੈ ॥
kokil kantth churaae leeyo jin bhaavan ko sabh bhaav luttaa hai |The nightingale has become silent on listening to her speech and feels herself plundered
ਗ੍ਵਾਰਿਨ ਕੇ ਘਨ ਬੀਚ ਬਿਰਾਜਤ ਰਾਧਿਕਾ ਮਾਨਹੁ ਬਿਜੁ ਛਟਾ ਹੈ ॥੫੪੧॥
gvaarin ke ghan beech biraajat raadhikaa maanahu bij chhattaa hai |541|She appears very alluring like lightning amongst the clouds-like gopis.541.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੇ ਪੂਜਨ ਪਾਇ ਚਲੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨੁ ਸੁਤਾ ਸਭ ਸਾਜ ਸਜੈ ॥
kaanrah ke poojan paae chalee brikhabhaan sutaa sabh saaj sajai |Radha is moving, bedecked in many ways in order to worship the feet of Krishna
