ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਏਕ ਨਾਰ ਤਿਹ ਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਬਰ ॥
ek naar tih pat ko roop nihaar bar |A woman, seeing her husband, became enamored with him.
ਰਹੀ ਮੁਬਤਲਾ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਇਮਿ ਚਰਿਤ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ਕਰਿ ॥
rahee mubatalaa hvai im charit bichaar kar |(Thinking that) a thoughtful character should be made.
ਇਹ ਨਿਰਖੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਚੈਨ ਨ ਮੋ ਕੌ ਪਲ ਪਰੈ ॥
eih nirakhe bin chain na mo kau pal parai |Because without seeing this (Peer) I don't feel restless even for a moment
ਹੋ ਜੌ ਨਿਰਖਤ ਹੌ ਤਾਹਿ ਤੁ ਰਾਰਹਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਰੈ ॥੩॥
ho jau nirakhat hau taeh tu raareh triy karai |3|And if he sees, his wife quarrels. 3.

ਤਿਸੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਕੇ ਧਾਮ ਸਿਧਾਈ ॥
tisee triyaa ke dhaam sidhaaee |(Finally, thinking about it, she) went to that woman's house
ਬਹੁਤਕ ਭੇਟ ਅਸਰਫੀ ਲ੍ਯਾਈ ॥
bahutak bhett asarafee layaaee |And brought with many dignitaries to make offerings.
ਜੇਵਰ ਦੀਨੇ ਜਰੇ ਜਰਾਇਨ ॥
jevar deene jare jaraaein |Gave (her) golden ornaments
ਜਿਨ ਕੋ ਸਕਤ ਅੰਤ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਇਨ ॥੪॥
jin ko sakat ant koee paaein |4|Who could put an end to them. 4.
ਸੁ ਸਭ ਦਈ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥਿ ਕਹਾ ਇਮਿ ॥
su sabh dee tih saath kahaa im |He said so by giving everything to him
ਸਾਥ ਖਾਦਿਮਾ ਬਾਨੋ ਕੇ ਤਿਮਿ ॥
saath khaadimaa baano ke tim |To Khadama Bano,
ਏਕਹਿ ਆਸ ਹ੍ਯਾਂ ਮੈ ਆਈ ॥
ekeh aas hayaan mai aaee |I have come here with a hope.
ਸੁ ਮੈ ਕਹਤ ਹੌ ਤੁਮੈ ਸੁਨਾਈ ॥੫॥
su mai kahat hau tumai sunaaee |5|Now I hear them saying to you. 5.
ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਅਪਨੇ ਹੀ ਮਦਰੋ ਚ੍ਵਾਇ ॥
grih apane hee madaro chvaae |(I) home brewed liquor
ਖਾਨਾ ਅਨਿਕ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਲ੍ਯਾਇ ॥
khaanaa anik bhaat ke layaae |And bring many kinds of food.
ਨਿਜੁ ਹਾਥਨ ਲੈ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਪਯਾਊ ॥
nij haathan lai duhoon payaaoo |I shall feed (you) both with my own hands
ਭੇਟ ਚੜਾਇ ਘਰਹਿ ਉਠਿ ਜਾਊ ॥੬॥
bhett charraae ghareh utth jaaoo |6|And I will go home with the offering. 6.
ਸੋਈ ਮਦ ਲੈ ਤਹਾ ਸਿਧਾਈ ॥
soee mad lai tahaa sidhaaee |The wine which he had extracted seven times in various ways,
ਸਾਤ ਬਾਰ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤਿ ਚੁਆਈ ॥
saat baar bahu bhaat chuaaee |She went there with the same.
ਨਿਜੁ ਹਾਥਨ ਲੈ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਪਿਯਾਯੋ ॥
nij haathan lai duhoon piyaayo |Watered both with his hands
ਅਧਿਕ ਮਤ ਕਰਿ ਸੇਜ ਸੁਆਯੋ ॥੭॥
adhik mat kar sej suaayo |7|And after getting very drunk, he slept on Sage. 7.
ਸੋਈ ਲਖੀ ਪੀਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਜਬ ਹੀ ॥
soee lakhee peer triy jab hee |When he saw the Pir's wife sleeping
ਨੈਨ ਸੈਨ ਦੈ ਤਿਹ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਤਬ ਹੀ ॥
nain sain dai tih prat tab hee |So pointed the eye at him (Pir).
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਧਰਿ ਛਤਿਯਾ ਪਰੁ ਚੂਤ੍ਰਨ ॥
taa ke dhar chhatiyaa par chootran |(Peer) by placing his buttock on the woman's breast
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਕੀਨਾ ਤਿਹ ਪਤਿ ਤਨ ॥੮॥
kaam bhog keenaa tih pat tan |8|Played with her husband. 8.
ਸੋਵਤ ਰਹੀ ਚੜੇ ਮਦ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
sovat rahee charre mad naaree |(Pir's) wife lay unconscious in the intoxication of (alcohol).
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਨ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ॥
bhed abhed kee gat na bichaaree |And could not consider the speed of separation.
ਚੀਠੀ ਏਕ ਲਿਖੀ ਨਿਜ ਅੰਗਾ ॥
cheetthee ek likhee nij angaa |She (the woman) wrote the letter with her own hand
ਬਾਧਿ ਗਈ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਸੰਗਾ ॥੯॥
baadh gee taa ke sir sangaa |9|And tied it to the head of the Pir's wife and left. 9.
ਜੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਖ੍ਯਾਲ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਕੇ ਪਰਿ ਹੈ ॥
jo triy khayaal triyan ke par hai |(Written in a letter) the woman who thinks of (other) women,
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਐਸੀ ਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ॥
taa kee bidh aaisee gat kar hai |So the lawgiver makes them in a similar condition.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਮ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਐਸ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
taa te tum triy aais na keejai |So O woman! Don't do it like that
ਬੁਰੋ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਸਕਲ ਤਜਿ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੧੦॥
buro subhaae sakal taj deejai |10|And leave all your bad nature. 10.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਕੇਸ ਪਾਸ ਤੇ ਛੋਰਿ ਕੈ ਬਾਚਤ ਪਤਿਯਾ ਅੰਗ ॥
kes paas te chhor kai baachat patiyaa ang |(That woman) read the letter by opening it from the locks of hair.
ਤਾ ਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤਜਿ ਦਿਯਾ ਬਾਦ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਨ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ॥੧੧॥
taa din te triy taj diyaa baad triyan ke sang |11|From that day, that woman stopped quarreling with other women. 11.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਤੀਨ ਸੌ ਇਕਆਸੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੩੮੧॥੬੮੫੮॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade teen sau ikaasee charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |381|6858|afajoon|Here ends the 381st chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious.381.6858. goes on

ਬਿਸਨ ਧੁਜਾ ਇਕ ਭੂਪ ਸੁਲਛਨ ॥
bisan dhujaa ik bhoop sulachhan |There was a handsome king named Bishan Dhuja,
ਬਿਸਨਪੁਰੀ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਦਿਸਿ ਦਛਿਨ ॥
bisanapuree jaa kee dis dachhin |Of which Bishanpuri (town) was in the south direction.
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਨਿ ਨੀਲ ਮਤੀ ਤਿਹ ਰਾਨੀ ॥
sree man neel matee tih raanee |Neel Manimati was his queen,
ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਸਕਲ ਭਵਨ ਮੌ ਜਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
sundar sakal bhavan mau jaanee |1|Who was considered beautiful among all people. 1.
ਅਛਲੀ ਰਾਇ ਏਕ ਤਹ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ॥
achhalee raae ek tah chhatree |There was a chhattri named Achli Rai,
ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਨਿਛਤ੍ਰੀ ॥
soorabeer balavaan nichhatree |Who was very valiant, strong and 'Nichhatri' (with armor or without umbrella).
ਬਦਨ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਭਾਖੀ ॥
badan prabhaa tih jaat na bhaakhee |The beauty of her face cannot be described.
ਜਨੁ ਮੁਖ ਚੀਰ ਚਾਦ ਕੀ ਰਾਖੀ ॥੨॥
jan mukh cheer chaad kee raakhee |2|(It looked like this) as if the moon (art) had been split and placed in the face. 2.
ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਤਵਨ ਸੌ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
triy kee preet tavan sau laagee |Rani's love fell upon him,
