ਤਾ ਸੌ ਚਿਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਕਹੀ ਸਮੁਝਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
taa sau chit kee baat kahee samujhaae kai |Explained the matter of Chit to him and told him
ਮਹਾ ਗਹਿਰ ਬਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਤਿਨ ਤੁਮ ਲ੍ਰਯਾਇਯੋ ॥
mahaa gahir ban bheetar tin tum lrayaaeiyo |That you bring them in a dense bun.
ਹੋ ਧਸੇ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਪਰਬਤ ਮੋ ਮੋਹਿ ਜਤਾਇਯੋ ॥੧੧॥
ho dhase nirakh parabat mo mohi jataaeiyo |11|Please tell me (that) after seeing you (out of fear) she has fallen into the mountain. 11.
ਸੁਨਤ ਮਨੁਖ ਇਹ ਬਾਤ ਤਹਾ ਤੇ ਤਹ ਗਯੋ ॥
sunat manukh ih baat tahaa te tah gayo |Hearing this, that man went from there to there
ਤੁਮੈ ਬਤਾਵਤ ਰਾਹ ਭਾਖਿ ਲ੍ਯਾਵਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
tumai bataavat raah bhaakh layaavat bhayo |And saying (that I) show you the way, (this) he brought (them).
ਸਕਲ ਸੂਰ ਚਿਤ ਮਾਝ ਅਧਿਕ ਹਰਖਤ ਭਏ ॥
sakal soor chit maajh adhik harakhat bhe |All the warriors became very happy in Chit.
ਹੋ ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਲਹਿਯੋ ਸਕਲ ਬਨ ਮੈ ਗਏ ॥੧੨॥
ho bhed abhed na lahiyo sakal ban mai ge |12|(No one) did not understand the differences and all went into the house. 12.
ਧਸਿਯੋ ਕਟਕ ਬਨ ਮਾਝ ਦੂਤ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
dhasiyo kattak ban maajh doot lakh paae kai |When the angel saw that the army had fallen into the forest
ਭੇਦ ਦਯੋ ਰਾਨੀ ਕਹ ਤਬ ਤਿਨ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
bhed dayo raanee kah tab tin aae kai |Then he came and told the whole secret to the queen.
ਬੰਦ ਦ੍ਵਾਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਕੇ ਕਰਿ ਦੋਊ ਲਏ ॥
band dvaar parabat ke kar doaoo le |He closed both the paths of the mountain
ਹੋ ਕਾਟਿ ਕਾਟਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਕ ਜਾਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੌ ਦਏ ॥੧੩॥
ho kaatt kaatt kai naak jaan grih kau de |13|And cut (their) necks and let them go home. 13.
ਬਿਮਨ ਭਏ ਬਹੁ ਬੀਰ ਭਾਜਿ ਰਨ ਤੇ ਚਲੇ ॥
biman bhe bahu beer bhaaj ran te chale |Many brave men ran away from the battlefield in sorrow (meaning sadness).
ਸੈਯਦ ਮੁਗਲ ਪਠਾਨ ਸੇਖ ਸੂਰਾ ਭਲੇ ॥
saiyad mugal patthaan sekh sooraa bhale |Among them were Sayyids, Mughals, Pathans, Shaykhs (castes) who were good warriors.
ਡਾਰਿ ਡਾਰਿ ਹਥਿਯਾਰ ਭੇਖ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਧਾਰਹੀ ॥
ddaar ddaar hathiyaar bhekh triy dhaarahee |They used to disguise themselves as women and shoot weapons
ਹੋ ਲੀਜੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਉਬਾਰਿ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਉਚਾਰਹੀ ॥੧੪॥
ho leejai praan ubaar ih bhaat uchaarahee |14|And they used to say like this, (that) save our lives. 14.
ਭਜੇ ਬੀਰ ਤਹ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਠਾ ਉਤਰਤ ਭਏ ॥
bhaje beer tah te ik tthaa utarat bhe |The Birs fled from there and settled at one place.
ਮੁਸਕ ਮਤੀ ਰਾਨਿਯਹਿ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਲਏ ॥
musak matee raaniyeh nirakh sabh hee le |Perhaps Mati Rani saw them all.
ਕਾਟਿ ਨਦੀ ਤਿਹ ਊਪਰ ਦਈ ਚਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
kaatt nadee tih aoopar dee chalaae kai |(He) cut the river and led it towards them.
ਹੋ ਬਾਜ ਤਾਜ ਰਾਜਨ ਜੁਤ ਦਏ ਬਹਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੧੫॥
ho baaj taaj raajan jut de bahaae kai |15|The kings with crowns and horses were crushed. 15.
ਮਾਰਿ ਫੌਜ ਇਕ ਦੀਨੋ ਦੂਤ ਪਠਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
maar fauaj ik deeno doot patthaae kai |Killed the army and sent a messenger
ਜੈਨ ਖਾਨ ਜੂ ਬਰੋ ਸੁਤਾ ਕੋ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
jain khaan joo baro sutaa ko aae kai |That Jain Khan! Come and get your daughter married.
ਹਮ ਹਜਰਤਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਨ ਰਨ ਕੀਨੋ ਬਨੈ ॥
ham hajarat ke sang na ran keeno banai |We do not have to go to war with the king.
ਹੋ ਸਭ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਿਨ ਅਰ ਮੋਰ ਰੁਚਿਤ ਯੌ ਹੀ ਮਨੈ ॥੧੬॥
ho sabh mantrin ar mor ruchit yau hee manai |16|This is what I and the ministers like. 16.
ਜੈਨ ਖਾਨ ਮੂਰਖ ਸੁਨਿ ਏ ਬਚ ਫੂਲਿ ਗਯੋ ॥
jain khaan moorakh sun e bach fool gayo |Jain Khan became a fool after hearing this.
ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਲੈ ਸੰਗ ਭਲੇ ਤਿਤ ਜਾਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
soorabeer lai sang bhale tith jaat bhayo |He went there with a good warrior.
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਬ੍ਯਾਹਿ ਅਬੈ ਘਰ ਆਇ ਹੌ ॥
taa kee duhitaa bayaeh abai ghar aae hau |(I was thinking in my mind) I am coming home now after marrying his (king's) daughter
ਹੋ ਇਨੈ ਬਾਹ ਅਪਨੀ ਹਜਰਤਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਹੌ ॥੧੭॥
ho inai baah apanee hajarateh milaae hau |17|And I join their arm with my king. 17.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਤਬ ਰਾਨੀ ਦਾਰੂ ਬਹੁ ਲਿਯੋ ॥
tab raanee daaroo bahu liyo |Then the queen took a lot of gunpowder ('daru').
ਤਰੈ ਬਿਛਾਇ ਭੂਮਿ ਕੇ ਦਿਯੋ ॥
tarai bichhaae bhoom ke diyo |And laid (him) down on the earth.
ਊਪਰ ਤਨਿਕ ਬਾਰੂਅਹਿ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
aoopar tanik baarooeh ddaariyo |Sprinkled some sand on it.
ਸੋ ਜਰਿ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਨੈਕੁ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੮॥
so jar jaat na naik nihaariyo |18|(So that he) may burn, but cannot be seen. 18.
ਏਕ ਲੌਡਿਯਾ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਠਾਈ ॥
ek lauaddiyaa bol patthaaee |(That queen) called a maid
ਖਾਰਨ ਪਰ ਕਹਿ ਸੁਤਾ ਬਿਠਾਈ ॥
khaaran par keh sutaa bitthaaee |And by calling her a daughter, he has placed (her) on the salt.
ਪਠ੍ਰਯੋ ਮਨੁਖ ਖਾਨ ਅਬ ਆਵੈ ॥
patthrayo manukh khaan ab aavai |(He) sent a man (to the Khan) that the Khan should come now
ਯਾਹਿ ਬ੍ਯਾਹਿ ਧਾਮ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੧੯॥
yaeh bayaeh dhaam lai jaavai |19|And marry it and take it home. 19.
ਸੈਨ ਸਹਿਤ ਮੂਰਖ ਤਹ ਗਯੋ ॥
sain sahit moorakh tah gayo |The Fool (Khan) went there with the army.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਪਾਵਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
bhed abhed na paavat bhayo |Bheed could not understand Abheed.
ਜਬ ਰਾਨੀ ਜਾਨ੍ਯੋ ਜੜ ਆਯੋ ॥
jab raanee jaanayo jarr aayo |When the queen knew that the fool had come,
ਦਾਰੂਅਹਿ ਤੁਰਤ ਪਲੀਤਾ ਦ੍ਰਯਾਯੋ ॥੨੦॥
daarooeh turat paleetaa drayaayo |20|So (the queen) put the gunpowder immediately. 20.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਲਗੇ ਪਲੀਤਾ ਸੂਰ ਸਭ ਭ੍ਰਮੇ ਗਗਨ ਕੇ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
lage paleetaa soor sabh bhrame gagan ke maeh |All the warriors started moving in the sky (i.e. flew up to the sky) on the fire.
ਉਡਿ ਉਡਿ ਪਰੈ ਸਮੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਮੈ ਬਚ੍ਯੋ ਏਕਊ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨੧॥
audd udd parai samundr mai bachayo ekaoo naeh |21|And will fly and fall into the sea. Not even one (of them) was left. 21.
ਇਹ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਇਨ ਚੰਚਲਾ ਲੀਨੋ ਦੇਸ ਬਚਾਇ ॥
eih charitr in chanchalaa leeno des bachaae |With this character, the woman saved her country
ਜੈਨ ਖਾਨ ਸੂਰਨ ਸਹਿਤ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਦਯੋ ਉਡਾਇ ॥੨੨॥
jain khaan sooran sahit ih bidh dayo uddaae |22|Jain Khan was blown away along with the warriors in this manner. 22.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਸਾਤ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੦੭॥੩੯੧੮॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau saat charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |207|3918|afajoon|Here ends the 207th chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 207.3918. goes on
