ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਸਤਿਜੁਗ ਕੇ ਜੁਗ ਮੈ ਹਮੋ ਯਾ ਮੈ ਕਿਯੋ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥
satijug ke jug mai hamo yaa mai kiyo nivaas |I resided here in Satyuga.
ਅਬ ਬਰਤਤ ਜੁਗ ਕੌਨ ਸੋ ਸੋ ਤੁਮ ਕਹਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ॥੨੪॥
ab baratat jug kauan so so tum kahahu prakaas |24|You tell me which era is going on now. 24.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥
chauapee |twenty four:
ਸਤਿਜੁਗ ਬੀਤੇ ਤ੍ਰੇਤਾ ਭਯੋ ॥
satijug beete tretaa bhayo |(He was told that) Treta passed away after Satyuga passed
ਤਾ ਪਾਛੇ ਦ੍ਵਾਪਰ ਬਰਤਯੋ ॥
taa paachhe dvaapar baratayo |And after that Dwapar was also used.
ਤਬ ਤੇ ਸੁਨੁ ਕਲਜੁਗ ਅਬ ਆਯੋ ॥
tab te sun kalajug ab aayo |Since then I have heard, now Kali Yuga has come.
ਸੁ ਤੁਹਿ ਕਹ ਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥੨੫॥
su tuhi kah ham pragatt sunaayo |25|We have clearly told you this. 25.
ਕਲਜੁਗ ਨਾਮ ਜਬੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਲਯੋ ॥
kalajug naam jabai sun layo |When (the jogi) heard the name of Kaliyuga
ਹਾਹਾ ਸਬਦ ਉਚਾਰਤ ਭਯੋ ॥
haahaa sabad uchaarat bhayo |So the word 'hi hi' started speaking.
ਤਿਹਿ ਮੁਹਿ ਬਾਤ ਲਗਨ ਨਹਿ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
tihi muhi baat lagan neh deejai |Don't let me get wind of him
ਬਹੁਰੋ ਮੂੰਦਿ ਦੁਆਰਨ ਲੀਜੈ ॥੨੬॥
bahuro moond duaaran leejai |26|And close the door again. 26.
ਰਾਨੀ ਬਾਚ ॥
raanee baach |Rani said:
ਮੈ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਰਿਹੋ ॥
mai sevaa tumaree prabh kariho |O Lord! I will serve you.
ਏਕ ਪਾਇ ਠਾਢੀ ਜਲ ਭਰਿਹੋ ॥
ek paae tthaadtee jal bhariho |Standing on one leg, I will fill water (for you).
ਮੂੰਦਿਨ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਨ ਕੋ ਕ੍ਯੋਨ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
moondin dvaaran ko kayon leejai |But why close the door?
ਹਮ ਪਰ ਨਾਥ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੨੭॥
ham par naath anugrahu keejai |27|O Nath! Have mercy on us. 27.
ਪੁਨਿ ਰਾਜੈ ਯੌ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
pun raajai yau bachan uchaaro |Then the king said thus,
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਮੈ ਦਾਸ ਤਿਹਾਰੋ ॥
kripaa karahu mai daas tihaaro |O Nath! Please, I am your slave.
ਯਹ ਰਾਨੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਹ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
yah raanee sevaa kah leejai |Accept (my) this queen for service.
ਮੋ ਪਰ ਨਾਥ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੨੮॥
mo par naath anugrahu keejai |28|Have mercy on me. 28.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਸੇਵਾ ਕਹ ਰਾਨੀ ਦਈ ਯੌ ਰਾਜੈ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ॥
sevaa kah raanee dee yau raajai sukh paae |The king happily gave the queen for service.
ਦ੍ਵਾਰਨ ਮੂੰਦਿਨ ਨ ਦਯੋ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਚਰਨ ਲਪਟਾਇ ॥੨੯॥
dvaaran moondin na dayo rahiyo charan lapattaae |29|He did not let the door close and wrapped himself with his feet. 29.
ਮੂੜ ਰਾਵ ਪ੍ਰਫੁਲਿਤ ਭਯੋ ਸਕਿਯੋ ਨ ਛਲ ਕਛੁ ਪਾਇ ॥
moorr raav prafulit bhayo sakiyo na chhal kachh paae |The foolish king was delighted but could not understand the trick.
ਸੇਵਾ ਕੋ ਰਾਨੀ ਦਈ ਤਾਹਿ ਸਿਧ ਠਹਰਾਇ ॥੩੦॥
sevaa ko raanee dee taeh sidh tthaharaae |30|Considering him as a siddha (jogi), he gave her to the queen for service. 30.
ਰਾਜ ਮਾਰਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਛਲਿਯੋ ਰਤਿ ਜੋਗੀ ਸੋ ਕੀਨ ॥
raaj maar raajaa chhaliyo rat jogee so keen |By killing the king (Bhudhar Singh) he tricked the king (Bibhram Dev) and played with Jogi.
ਅਤਭੁਤ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾਨ ਕੌ ਸਕਤ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਚੀਨ ॥੩੧॥
atabhut charitr triyaan kau sakat na koaoo cheen |31|Women have strange characters, no one can understand them. 31.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਇਕ ਸੌ ਤੈਤਾਲੀਸਵੋ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੧੪੩॥੨੯੦੩॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade ik sau taitaaleesavo charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |143|2903|afajoon|Here is the conclusion of the 143rd chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 143.2903. goes on

ਬੀਕਾਨੇਰ ਰਾਵ ਇਕ ਭਾਰੋ ॥
beekaaner raav ik bhaaro |There was a great king in Bikaner,
ਤੀਨ ਭਵਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਉਜਿਯਾਰੋ ॥
teen bhavan bheetar ujiyaaro |(Whose) Yash was spread among the three people.
ਵਤੀ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਰਾਵ ਕੀ ਰਾਨੀ ॥
vatee singaar raav kee raanee |(That) king's beauty was a queen named Vati,
ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਭਵਨ ਚੌਦਹੂੰ ਜਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
sundar bhavan chauadahoon jaanee |1|Who was known as beautiful among fourteen people. 1.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥
arril |adamant:
ਤਹਾ ਰਾਇ ਮਹਤਾਬ ਸੁਦਾਗਰ ਆਇਯੋ ॥
tahaa raae mahataab sudaagar aaeiyo |A merchant named Mahtab Rai came there.
ਲਖਿ ਰਾਨੀ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਹਿਯੋ ਲਲਚਾਇਯੋ ॥
lakh raanee ko roop hiyo lalachaaeiyo |Seeing (his) form, the queen's mind was enticed (i.e., became fascinated).
ਭੇਜਿ ਸਹਚਰੀ ਤਿਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਲਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
bhej sahacharee tih grih layo bulaae kai |(The queen) sent a maidservant and called her home.
ਹੋ ਮਨ ਮਾਨਤ ਰਤਿ ਕਰੀ ਅਧਿਕ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੨॥
ho man maanat rat karee adhik sukh paae kai |2|(With him) I played happily with my heart's desire. 2.
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਨਿਤਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਰਾਨੀ ਤਾਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥
nitaprat raanee taeh bulaavai |Rani called him every day
ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੋ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
bhaat bhaat so bhog kamaavai |And used to indulge (with him) in various ways.
ਜਾਨਤ ਰੈਨਿ ਅੰਤ ਜਬ ਆਈ ॥
jaanat rain ant jab aaee |When you see that the night is about to end,
ਤਾਹਿ ਦੇਤ ਨਿਜੁ ਧਾਮ ਪਠਾਈ ॥੩॥
taeh det nij dhaam patthaaee |3|So she would send him to her home. 3.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥
arril |adamant:
ਚੁਨਿ ਚੁਨਿ ਭਲੀ ਮਤਾਹ ਸੁਦਾਗਰ ਲ੍ਯਾਵਈ ॥
chun chun bhalee mataah sudaagar layaavee |(He) the merchant would carefully select and bring the goods of trade ('matah').
ਰਾਨੀ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਪਾਇ ਘਨੋ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਵਈ ॥
raanee taa kau paae ghano sukh paavee |Rani would have been very happy by receiving him.
ਅਤਿ ਧਨ ਛੋਰਿ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਦੇਤ ਤਹਿ ਨਿਤ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ॥
at dhan chhor bhanddaar det teh nitay prat |(The queen also) opened the treasury and gave a lot of money to the merchant every day.
