ਇਹ ਛਲ ਸੌ ਤਾ ਸੌ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਸੁ ਦਿਨ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਹਾਰ ॥
eih chhal sau taa sau sadaa nis din karat bihaar |With this trick, he used to play with her (Raj Kumari) day and night.
ਦਿਨ ਦੇਖਤ ਸਭ ਕੋ ਛਲੈ ਕੋਊ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥੧੫॥
din dekhat sabh ko chhalai koaoo na sakai bichaar |15|He used to sneak away during the day in front of everyone (but no one could think about this secret). 15.

ਸੰਕਰ ਦੇਵ ਨ ਤਾਹਿ ਪਛਾਨੈ ॥

ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕੀ ਗਾਇਨ ਤਿਹ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
duhitaa kee gaaein tih maanai |And considered her as a son's gift.
ਅਤਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਨਪ ਤੇ ਕੈਫਨ ਖਾਵੈ ॥
at sayaanap te kaifan khaavai |He used drugs very wisely
ਮਹਾ ਮੂੜ ਨਿਤਿ ਮੂੰਡ ਮੁੰਡਾਵੈ ॥੧੬॥
mahaa moorr nit moondd munddaavai |16|And the great fool (king) was cheated daily. 16.
ਕਹਾ ਭਯੋ ਜੋ ਚਤੁਰ ਕਹਾਇਸਿ ॥
kahaa bhayo jo chatur kahaaeis |What happened (if he) was called clever.
ਭੂਲਿ ਭਾਗ ਭੌਦੂ ਨ ਚੜਾਇਸਿ ॥
bhool bhaag bhauadoo na charraaeis |(He) did not drink bhang even after forgetting the bhondu.
ਅਮਲੀ ਭਲੋ ਖਤਾ ਜੁ ਨ ਖਾਵੈ ॥
amalee bhalo khataa ju na khaavai |A practical person is better (than he) who does not make mistakes (or sins).
ਮੂੰਡ ਮੂੰਡ ਸੋਫਿਨ ਕੋ ਜਾਵੈ ॥੧੭॥
moondd moondd sofin ko jaavai |17|And Thug Thug takes the Sophies. 17.
ਸੰਕਰ ਸੈਨ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਹਿ ਅਸ ਛਲਾ ॥
sankar sain nripeh as chhalaa |Thus Sankar San Raje was tricked
ਕਹ ਕਿਯ ਚਰਿਤ ਸੰਕਰਾ ਕਲਾ ॥
kah kiy charit sankaraa kalaa |(And of this style) Sankara Art characterized.
ਤਿਹ ਗਾਇਨ ਕੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਗਨਿਯੋ ॥
tih gaaein kee duhitaa ganiyo |(The king) thought of her as a son's gift.
ਮੂਰਖ ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਜਨਿਯੋ ॥੧੮॥
moorakh bhed abhed na janiyo |18|(That) fool did not understand the secret (of this matter). 18.

eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau chhihatar charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |276|5334|afajoon|Here ends the 276th charitra of Mantri Bhup Sambad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 276.5334. goes on

ਸਹਿਰ ਮੁਰਾਦਾਬਾਦ ਮੁਗਲ ਕੀ ਚੰਚਲਾ ॥
sahir muraadaabaad mugal kee chanchalaa |There was (a) Mughal woman in the city of Moradabad
ਹੀਨ ਕਰੀ ਜਿਹ ਰੂਪ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਕੀ ਕਲਾ ॥
heen karee jih roop chandramaa kee kalaa |Who had disfigured the art of the moon.
ਰੂਪ ਮਤੀ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਸਮ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਨਿਯੈ ॥
roop matee taa ke sam soee jaaniyai |Think of him as a form like that
ਹੋ ਤਿਹ ਸਮਾਨ ਤਿਹੁ ਲੋਕ ਨ ਔਰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਿਯੈ ॥੧॥
ho tih samaan tihu lok na aauar pramaaniyai |1|And do not consider anyone else like him among the three people. 1.

ਤਿਹ ਸਮ ਹੋਤ ਨ ਤਾਹਿ ਪਿਯਾਰੀ ॥
tih sam hot na taeh piyaaree |But she was not dear to him.
ਤਿਨ ਇਹ ਜਾਨਿ ਰੋਸ ਜਿਯ ਠਾਨੋ ॥
tin ih jaan ros jiy tthaano |He felt anger in his heart after knowing this
ਔਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਸੰਗ ਕੀਯਾ ਯਰਾਨੋ ॥੨॥
aauar purakh sang keeyaa yaraano |2|And arranged a loan with another man. 2.

ਜੈਸੇ ਵਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕੀ ਹੁਤੀ ਸਵਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਅਨੁਹਾਰਿ ॥
jaise vaa triy kee hutee savatin kee anuhaar |As she (the woman) used to sleep,
ਤੈਸੋ ਈ ਤਿਨ ਖੋਜਿ ਨਰ ਤਿਹ ਸੰਗ ਕੀਯਾ ਪ੍ਯਾਰ ॥੩॥
taiso ee tin khoj nar tih sang keeyaa payaar |3|She found a man with a face like hers and started making love with him. 3.

ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਤਿਹ ਧਾਮ ਬੁਲਾਇਸਿ ॥
triy ik din tih dhaam bulaaeis |That woman invited him (man) to (her) house
ਕਾਮ ਕੇਲ ਤਿਹ ਸੰਗ ਕਮਾਇਸਿ ॥
kaam kel tih sang kamaaeis |And played with him.
ਸਵਤਿਹ ਫਾਸਿ ਡਾਰਿ ਗਰ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
savatih faas ddaar gar maariyo |Killed by putting a noose around the neck of Sonakan
ਜਾਇ ਮੁਗਲ ਤਨ ਐਸ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੪॥
jaae mugal tan aais uchaariyo |4|And went to Mughal and said like this. 4.
ਅਦਭੁਤ ਬਾਤ ਨਾਥ ਇਕ ਭਈ ॥
adabhut baat naath ik bhee |O Lord! A strange thing has happened.
ਤੁਮਰੀ ਨਾਰ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਈ ॥
tumaree naar purakh hvai gee |Your woman has become a man.
ਐਸੀ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨੀ ਨਹਿ ਹੇਰੀ ॥
aaisee baat sunee neh heree |What has happened to your wife,
ਜੋ ਗਤਿ ਭਈ ਨਾਰਿ ਕੀ ਤੇਰੀ ॥੫॥
jo gat bhee naar kee teree |5|Such a thing has not been heard or seen with the eyes. 5.
ਸੁਨਿ ਏ ਬਚਨ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਜੜ ਭਯੋ ॥
sun e bachan chakrit jarr bhayo |(He) was surprised to hear the foolish (Mughal) talk
ਉਠਿ ਤਿਹ ਆਪੁ ਬਿਲੋਕਨ ਗਯੋ ॥
autth tih aap bilokan gayo |And he got up and went to see him.
ਤਾ ਕੇ ਲਿੰਗ ਛੋਰਿ ਜੌ ਲਹਾ ॥
taa ke ling chhor jau lahaa |When his linga (armour) was opened and seen,
ਕਹਿਯੋ ਭਯੋ ਜੋ ਮੁਹਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਹਾ ॥੬॥
kahiyo bhayo jo muhi triy kahaa |6|Then he started saying that what (the woman) had said turned out to be true. 6.
ਅਤਿ ਚਿੰਤਾਤੁਰ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਭਯੋ ॥
at chintaatur chit meh bhayo |He became very worried in Chit
ਬੂਡਿ ਸੋਕ ਸਾਗਰ ਮਹਿ ਗਯੋ ॥
boodd sok saagar meh gayo |And drowned in the ocean of sorrow.
ਐ ਇਲਾਹ ਤੈਂ ਇਹ ਕਸ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
aai ilaah tain ih kas keenaa |(saying) O Allah! What have you done?
ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਕੌ ਮਾਨਸ ਕਰ ਦੀਨਾ ॥੭॥
eisatree kau maanas kar deenaa |7|Who has made the woman a man. 7.
ਯਹ ਮੋ ਕੋ ਥੀ ਅਧਿਕ ਪਿਯਾਰੀ ॥
yah mo ko thee adhik piyaaree |It was very dear to me.
ਅਬ ਇਹ ਦੈਵ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਰਿ ਡਾਰੀ ॥
ab ih daiv purakh kar ddaaree |Oh god! (You) have now made it male.
ਦੂਸਰ ਨਾਰਿ ਇਸੈ ਦੇ ਡਾਰੂੰ ॥
doosar naar isai de ddaaroon |(I think that) the second wife should be given to him
ਭੇਦ ਨ ਦੂਸਰ ਪਾਸ ਉਚਾਰੂੰ ॥੮॥
bhed na doosar paas uchaaroon |8|And do not share its secret with anyone.8.
ਨਿਸਚੈ ਬਾਤ ਇਹੈ ਠਹਰਈ ॥
nisachai baat ihai tthaharee |He made sure of this
ਪਹਿਲੀ ਨਾਰਿ ਤਿਸੈ ਲੈ ਦਈ ॥
pahilee naar tisai lai dee |And the first lady gave it to him.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਜੜ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
bhed abhed jarr kachhoo na paayo |That fool didn't understand the difference.
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਅਪਨੋ ਮੂੰਡ ਮੁੰਡਾਯੋ ॥੯॥
eih chhal apano moondd munddaayo |9|He deceived himself with this trick. 9.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਪੁਰਖ ਭਈ ਨਿਜੁ ਨਾਰਿ ਲਹਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਦਈ ਨਿਜੁ ਨਾਰਿ ॥
purakh bhee nij naar leh taeh dee nij naar |Seeing his wife turned into a man, he also gave her his (second) wife.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਕੌ ਸਕਾ ਨ ਮੂੜ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ॥੧੦॥
bhed abhed kee baat kau sakaa na moorr bichaar |10|That fool could not understand the matter of separation. 10.

ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਭਈ ਠਹਿਰਾਈ ॥
eisatree purakh bhee tthahiraaee |The woman was considered to be a man
ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਤਾ ਕਹ ਦਈ ਬਨਾਈ ॥
eisatree taa kah dee banaaee |And (his second) wife adorned him.
ਦੁਤਿਯ ਨ ਪੁਰਖਹਿ ਭੇਦ ਜਤਾਯੋ ॥
dutiy na purakheh bhed jataayo |Don't tell anyone else about it.
ਇਹ ਛਲ ਅਪਨੋ ਮੂੰਡ ਮੁੰਡਾਯੋ ॥੧੧॥
eih chhal apano moondd munddaayo |11|Shaved his head with this trick. 11.

ਸਹਰ ਜਹਾਨਾਬਾਦ ਬਸਤ ਜਹ ॥
sahar jahaanaabaad basat jah |Where the city of Jehanabad used to live,
ਸਾਹਿਜਹਾ ਜੂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਤ ਤਹ ॥
saahijahaa joo raaj karat tah |Shah Jahan was ruling there.
ਦੁਹਿਤ ਰਾਇ ਰੌਸਨਾ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥
duhit raae rauasanaa taa ke |His daughter's name was Roshana Rai.
ਔਰ ਨਾਰਿ ਸਮ ਰੂਪ ਨ ਵਾ ਕੇ ॥੧॥
aauar naar sam roop na vaa ke |1|There was no other woman like her. 1.
ਸਾਹਿਜਹਾ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਮਰਿ ਗਏ ॥
saahijahaa jab hee mar ge |When Shah Jahan died and
ਔਰੰਗ ਸਾਹ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹ ਭਏ ॥
aauarang saah paatisaah bhe |Aurangzeb became the emperor.
ਸੈਫਦੀਨ ਸੰਗ ਯਾ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਯਾਰਾ ॥
saifadeen sang yaa ko payaaraa |She fell in love with Saifdin (Pir),
ਪੀਰ ਅਪਨ ਕਰਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
peer apan kar taeh bichaaraa |2|But he told (the people) after doing his pir. 2.
