When (Emperor) Jehangir was holding his court, a woman came in wearing the veil.
(She) used to cut the pockets of many,
She picked pockets of many and never showed her face.(1)
A man got to know his secret.
One man detected the secret but did not divulged to anyone else.
In the morning saw (that) woman coming
Next morning when he saw her coming in, he planned a way.(2)
(He) held the shoe in his hand
He took of his shoe and started to beat her,
(He kept saying that why did you) leave the string (veil) and come here
Saying, ‘Why have you come out of the house,’ he nearly made her to faint.(3)

Beating her hard, he took her ornaments and,
shouted, ‘Why have you come here?’(4)
Chaupaee.
Everyone understood this in their mind
People thought that she was his own wife,
Why has she come without asking her husband?
Who had come out of the house without his permission and got beating.(5)
By the time the woman regained consciousness,
By the time the woman regained consciousness he had gone on his away.
For fear of him she did not go (there) again.

There was a great king named Abhay Sand.
Abhai Saandh was an auspicious Raja of the country of Kahloor.

Infuriated, many Khans raided on him and massacred a number of Rajas.
When all were defeated, a measure was taken.
In spite of their losses in the battles, they called in Chhaju and Gaju Khans.(2)
He kept a pigeon in his armpit
He (Khan), who used to keep a pigeon under his arm, announced,
Who will harm this king,
‘Any body who treated Raja adversely, will be cursed.’(3)
