And that the Devil was enticed by the woman of Ruder and seeing her felt elated.(7)

Seeing the form of a woman (Jalandhar) was tempted
He was so much fascinated seeing her that he sent a wise emissary to her.
O Rudra! give me transcendence,
He asked Rude to handover Parbati to him or accept annihilation.(8)
Maha Rudra said:

‘The daughters and sisters are given away according to the tradition of Vedas.
‘But, listen, no body till today has give away his wife.’(9)
Chaupaee
That arrogant giant-kingdom was enraged
With the backing of a large number of the army of the devils, he came furious.
sumbha, sumbha,
He called in Sunbh and NiSunbh (devils) and collected all the ones full of wrath.(10)
Bhujang Verse:
The stubborn giant became very angry
Fully equipped with arrows, they were blaring.
(In their hands) tridents and spears were adorned.
They were laced with spears and tridents, and, consequently who could dare to fight.(11)
At this Rudra got angry and played the drum.
On this side, Ruder became very angry, beat the drum and Indra arrived with his army.
The Sun and the Moon also took many companions
Also came Chandra along with his compatriots, all holding spears and tridents.(12)
The stubborn giants were very angry
And so they walked as if they were baboons.
(They) had thunderbolts in their hands and the great warriors were thundering.
Neither they could be removed (from the battlefield) nor could they be killed. 13.
Hati Deva with a very strong army
Maha Rudra came forward to fight the war.
Vishnu was also decorating the warriors like this
That even the pride of the god-maidens was ending after seeing them. 14.
Here the banks are giants and there the gods are adorning,
As if Diti and Aditi are enthralling the mind.
Much iron is sounding (from both sides) and (no one) is fleeing.
Umbrella horses are dancing from both sides. 15.
There the iron was ringing so loudly,
One the one hand there were the stalwart devils, and the other the gods and their progeny was getting honours.
Hathi Shiva carrying the trident well in hand
The steel started to strike steel and to make sure no one ran away, the Kashatris rounded from all sides.(16)
A deadly raga has been played in that battlefield.
Those who were of no use, they fled (from there).
Children and old people are all angry and fighting
And indeed the holy ones have become martyrs. 17.
