ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਭਜਯੋ ਨ ਅਰੇ ਜੜ ਧਾਮ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਕਹਾ ਉਰਝਾਯੋ ॥੩੧॥
sree bhagavant bhajayo na are jarr dhaam ke kaam kahaa urajhaayo |31|O foolish creature! You have not worshipped the Lord and had been uselessly entangle in the domestic as well as outside affairs.31.
ਫੋਕਟ ਕਰਮ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਤ ਕਹਾ ਇਨ ਲੋਗਨ ਕੋ ਕੋਈ ਕਾਮ ਨ ਐ ਹੈ ॥
fokatt karam drirraat kahaa in logan ko koee kaam na aai hai |Why do you tell repeatedly to these people for performing the actions of heresy? These works will not be of any use to them
ਭਾਜਤ ਕਾ ਧਨ ਹੇਤ ਅਰੇ ਜਮ ਕਿੰਕਰ ਤੇ ਨਹ ਭਾਜਨ ਪੈ ਹੈ ॥
bhaajat kaa dhan het are jam kinkar te nah bhaajan pai hai |Why are you running hither and thither for wealth? You may do anything, but you will bot be able to escape from the noose of Yama
ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਿਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਬੈ ਊਹਾ ਸਿਖ ਸਖਾ ਕੋਊ ਸਾਖ ਨ ਦੈ ਹੈ ॥
putr kalitr na mitr sabai aoohaa sikh sakhaa koaoo saakh na dai hai |Even you son, wife an friend will not bear witness to you and none of them will speak for you
ਚੇਤ ਰੇ ਚੇਤ ਅਚੇਤ ਮਹਾ ਪਸੁ ਅੰਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਰ ਇਕੇਲੋ ਈ ਜੈ ਹੈ ॥੩੨॥
chet re chet achet mahaa pas ant kee baar ikelo ee jai hai |32|Therefore, O fool! take care of yourself even now, because ultimately you will have to go alone.32.
ਤੋ ਤਨ ਤਯਾਗਤ ਹੀ ਸੁਨ ਰੇ ਜੜ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਬਖਾਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਆ ਭਜਿ ਜੈ ਹੈ ॥
to tan tayaagat hee sun re jarr pret bakhaan triaa bhaj jai hai |After abandoning the body, O fool! Your wife will also run away calling you a ghost
ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਸੁ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਖਾ ਇਹ ਬੇਗ ਨਿਕਾਰਹੁ ਆਇਸੁ ਦੈ ਹੈ ॥
putr kalatr su mitr sakhaa ih beg nikaarahu aaeis dai hai |The son, wife and friend, all will say that you should be taken out immediately and cause you to go to the cemetery
ਭਉਨ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਧਰਾ ਗੜ ਜੇਤਕ ਛਾਡਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਬਿਗਾਨ ਕਹੈ ਹੈ ॥
bhaun bhanddaar dharaa garr jetak chhaaddat praan bigaan kahai hai |After passing away, the home, shore and earth will become alien, therefore,
ਚੇਤ ਰੇ ਚੇਤ ਅਚੇਤ ਮਹਾ ਪਸੁ ਅੰਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਰਿ ਇਕੇਲੋ ਈ ਜੈ ਹੈ ॥੩੩॥
chet re chet achet mahaa pas ant kee baar ikelo ee jai hai |33|O great animal! take care of yourself even now, because ultimately you have to go alone.33.
ੴ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਹ ॥
ik oankaar vaahiguroo jee kee fatah |The Lord is One and the Victory is of the True Guru.
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ ॥ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ੧੦ ॥
svaiyaa | paatisaahee 10 |SWAYYA. The utterance from the holy mouth of the Tenth King:
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਲੇਖੁ ਲਿਖਿਓ ਬਿਧਨਾ ਸੋਈ ਪਾਯਤੁ ਮਿਸ੍ਰ ਜੂ ਸੋਕ ਨਿਵਾਰੋ ॥
jo kichh lekh likhio bidhanaa soee paayat misr joo sok nivaaro |O friend! whatever the providence has recorded, it will surely happen, therefore, forsake your sorrow
ਮੇਰੋ ਕਛੂ ਅਪਰਾਧੁ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਯੋ ਯਾਦ ਤੇ ਭੂਲ ਨਹ ਕੋਪੁ ਚਿਤਾਰੋ ॥
mero kachhoo aparaadh naheen gayo yaad te bhool nah kop chitaaro |There is no fault of mine in this I had only forgotton (to serve you earlier) do not get enraged on my error
ਬਾਗੋ ਨਿਹਾਲੀ ਪਠੋ ਦੈਹੋ ਆਜੁ ਭਲੇ ਤੁਮ ਕੋ ਨਿਹਚੈ ਜੀਅ ਧਾਰੋ ॥
baago nihaalee pattho daiho aaj bhale tum ko nihachai jeea dhaaro |I shall surely cause to send the quilt, bed etc. as religious gift
ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਸਭੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਿਪਨ ਕੇ ਇਨਹੂ ਪੈ ਕਟਾਛ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕੈ ਨਿਹਾਰੋ ॥੧॥
chhatree sabhai krit bipan ke inahoo pai kattaachh kripaa kai nihaaro |1|Do not be anxious about that, the Kshatriyas had been performing the jobs for the Brahmins now be kind to them, looking towards them.1.

ਜੁਧ ਜਿਤੇ ਇਨਹੀ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਇਨਹੀ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸੁ ਦਾਨ ਕਰੇ ॥
judh jite inahee ke prasaad inahee ke prasaad su daan kare |By the kindness of these Sikhs, I have conquered the wars and also by their kindness, I have bestowed charities
ਅਘ ਅਉਘ ਟਰੇ ਇਨਹੀ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਇਨਹੀ ਕੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਫੁਨ ਧਾਮ ਭਰੇ ॥
agh aaugh ttare inahee ke prasaad inahee kee kripaa fun dhaam bhare |By their kindness the clusters on sins have been destroyed and by their kindness my house is full of wealth and materials
ਇਨਹੀ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸੁ ਬਿਦਿਆ ਲਈ ਇਨਹੀ ਕੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਸਭ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਮਰੇ ॥
einahee ke prasaad su bidiaa lee inahee kee kripaa sabh satr mare |By their kindness I have received education and by their kindness all my enemies have been destroyed
ਇਨਹੀ ਕੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕੇ ਸਜੇ ਹਮ ਹੈ ਨਹੀ ਮੋ ਸੇ ਗਰੀਬ ਕਰੋਰ ਪਰੇ ॥੨॥
einahee kee kripaa ke saje ham hai nahee mo se gareeb karor pare |2|By their kindness I have been greatly adorned, otherwise there kindness I have been greatly adorned, otherwise there are crores of humble person like me.
ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਸੇਵ ਕਰੀ ਇਨਹੀ ਕੀ ਭਾਵਤ ਅਉਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ਸੁਹਾਤ ਨ ਜੀ ਕੋ ॥
sev karee inahee kee bhaavat aaur kee sev suhaat na jee ko |I like to serve them and my mind is not pleased to serve others
ਦਾਨ ਦਯੋ ਇਨਹੀ ਕੋ ਭਲੋ ਅਰੁ ਆਨ ਕੋ ਦਾਨ ਨ ਲਾਗਤ ਨੀਕੋ ॥
daan dayo inahee ko bhalo ar aan ko daan na laagat neeko |The charities bestowed on them are really good and the charities given to others do not appear to be nice
ਆਗੈ ਫਲੈ ਇਨਹੀ ਕੋ ਦਯੋ ਜਗ ਮੈ ਜਸੁ ਅਉਰ ਦਯੋ ਸਭ ਫੀਕੋ ॥
aagai falai inahee ko dayo jag mai jas aaur dayo sabh feeko |The charities bestowed on them will bear fruit in future and the charities given to others in the world are unsavoury in front of donation given to them
ਮੋ ਗ੍ਰਹ ਮੈ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਲਉ ਧਨ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਇਨਹੀ ਕੋ ॥੩॥
mo grah mai tan te man te sir lau dhan hai sabh hee inahee ko |3|In my house, my mind, my body, my wealth and even my head everything belongs to them.3.
