ਜੀਵ ਦਾਨ ਤਬ ਮੋਕਹ ਦੈ ਹੋ ॥੨੨੦੦॥

She said, “O friend! now don’t delay and cause to meet me with my beloved. O friend! if you execute this task, then consider it resuscitated that my life shall be revived.”2200.’

ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

SWAYYA

ਯੌ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਭਈ ਚੀਲ ਚਲੀ ਉਡਿ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਵਤੀ ਮਹਿ ਆਈ ॥

Hearing these words of Usha, she transformed herself into a kite and flew

ਪੌਤ੍ਰ ਹੁਤੋ ਜਿਹ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਜੂ ਕੋ ਛਪਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਤਿਹ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨਾਈ ॥

She reached in Dwarka city, there she told everything to the son of Krishna, while concealing herself,

ਏਕ ਤ੍ਰੀਯਾ ਅਟਕੀ ਤੁਮ ਪੈ ਤੁਹਿ ਲ੍ਯਾਇਬੇ ਕੇ ਹਿਤ ਹਉ ਹੂ ਪਠਾਈ ॥

“One woman is absorbed in your love and I have come to take you there for her

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਚਲੋ ਤਹ ਬੇਗ ਬਲਾਇ ਲਿਉ ਮੇਟਿ ਸਭੈ ਚਿਤ ਕੀ ਦੁਚਿਤਾਈ ॥੨੨੦੧॥

Therefore in order to end the agitation of the mind, go with me there immediately.”2201.

ਬੈਠ ਸੁਨਾਇ ਕੈ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਤਿਹ ਆਪਨੋ ਰੂਪ ਪ੍ਰਤਛ ਦਿਖਾਯੋ ॥

Saying this she showed him her real form

ਜੋ ਤ੍ਰੀਯ ਮੋ ਪਰ ਹੈ ਅਟਕੀ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਇ ਪਿਖੋ ਮਨੁ ਯਾਹਿ ਲੁਭਾਯੋ ॥

Then the prince thought that he should see that woman, who loves him

ਖੈਚ ਨਿਖੰਗ ਕਸਿਯੋ ਕਟਿ ਸੋ ਧਨੁ ਲੈ ਚਲਿਬੇ ਕਹੁ ਸਾਜ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥

He tied his bow in his waist and carrying the arrows he made up his mind to go

ਦੂਤੀ ਕੋ ਸੰਗ ਲਏ ਅਪਨੇ ਇਹ ਤਾ ਤ੍ਰੀਅ ਲਿਆਵਨ ਕਾਜ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥੨੨੦੨॥

He accompanied the messenger to bring with him the woman in love.2202.

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

DOHRA

ਸੰਗ ਲਯੋ ਅਨਰੁਧ ਕੋ ਦੂਤੀ ਹਰਖ ਬਢਾਇ ॥

ਊਖਾ ਕੋ ਪੁਰ ਥੋ ਜਹਾ ਤਹਾ ਪਹੂਚੀ ਆਇ ॥੨੨੦੩॥

Getting pleased, the messenger took Aniruddh with her and reached the city of Usha.2203.

ਸੋਰਠਾ ॥

SORTHA

ਤ੍ਰੀਅ ਪੀਅ ਦਯੋ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਚਤੁਰ ਤ੍ਰੀਅ ਕਰਿ ਚਤੁਰਤਾ ॥

That woman caused cleverly the meeting of both-the lover and the beloved

ਕੀਯੋ ਭੋਗ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ਊਖਾ ਅਰੁ ਅਨਰੁਧ ਮਿਲ ॥੨੨੦੪॥

Usha and Aniruddh then enjoyed the union with great delight.2204.

ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

SWAYYA

ਚਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਕੋ ਭੋਗ ਕੀਓ ਨਰ ਨਾਰਿ ਹੁਲਾਸ ਹੀਯੈ ਮੈ ਬਢੈ ਕੈ ॥

ਆਸਨ ਕੋਕ ਕੇ ਬੀਚ ਜਿਤੇ ਕਬਿ ਭਾਖਤ ਹੈ ਸੁ ਸਬੈ ਇਨ ਕੈ ਕੈ ॥

Getting pleased in their mind following the instruction of Koka Pundit about the postures of the union, they enjoyed the sexual union through four kinds of postures

ਬਾਤ ਕਹੀ ਅਨਰੁਧ ਕਛੂ ਮੁਸਕਾਇ ਤ੍ਰੀਆ ਸੰਗ ਨੈਨ ਨਚੈ ਕੈ ॥

ਜਿਉ ਹਮਰੀ ਤੁਮ ਹੁਇ ਰਹੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਤਿਉ ਹਮ ਹੂ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਰਹੈ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਕੈ ॥੨੨੦੫॥

Aniruddh said smilingly to Usha, causing his eyes to dance, “Just as you are mine, I have also become thine in the same manner.”2205.

ਸੁੰਦਰ ਥੀ ਜੁ ਧੁਜਾ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੀ ਸੁ ਗਿਰੀ ਭੂਅ ਪੈ ਲਖਿ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥

On this side the king saw that his pretty banner had fallen down on the ground

ਜੋ ਬਰੁ ਦਾਨ ਦਯੋ ਮੁਹਿ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਵਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਯੋ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਸੁ ਜਨਾਯੋ ॥

He came to know in his mind that the boon bestowed on him by Rudra was going to become a reality

ਤਉ ਹੀ ਲਉ ਆਇ ਕਹੀ ਇਕ ਯੌ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮੋ ਕੋਊ ਆਯੋ ॥

At the same time, someone came to tell him that someone was living with his daughter in his house

ਯੌ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਬਾਤ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਅਪਨੇ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਰੋਸ ਬਢਾਯੋ ॥੨੨੦੬॥

Hearing this and getting infuriated, the king went there.2206.

ਆਵਤ ਹੀ ਕਰਿ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਭਾਰਤ ਕੋਪ ਭਯੋ ਚਿਤਿ ਰੋਸ ਬਢਾਯੋ ॥

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੇ ਪੌਤ੍ਰ ਸੋ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਹੂ ਕੇ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਜੁਧੁ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥

On coming, and holding his weapons with great fury, he began to fight with the son of Krishna in the house of his daughter

ਹੁਇ ਬਿਸੰਭਾਰ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਜਬ ਸੋ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਕੇ ਕਰਿ ਭੀਤਰ ਆਯੋ ॥

ਨਾਦ ਬਜਾਇ ਦਿਖਾਇ ਸਭੋ ਬਲੁ ਲੈ ਇਹ ਕੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਧਾਮਿ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥੨੨੦੭॥

When he fell down, then the king playing his horn and taking the son of Krishna with him, went towards his house.2207.

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੇ ਪੌਤ੍ਰ ਕੋ ਬਾਧ ਕੈ ਭੂਪ ਫਿਰਿਯੋ ਉਤ ਨਾਰਦ ਜਾਇ ਸੁਨਾਈ ॥

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਚਲੋ ਉਠਿ ਬੈਠੇ ਕਹਾ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਜਦੁਵੀ ਸਭ ਸੈਨ ਬਨਾਈ ॥

On this side, the king bound down the son of Krishna and started, and on the other side, Narada told everything to Krishna. Narada said, “O Krishna! get up and march with all the Yadava army

ਯੌ ਸੁਨਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਚਲੇ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਅਤਿ ਕਰੋਧ ਬਢਾਈ ॥

Krishna also hearing this in great rage moved

ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ਸਭੈ ਰਿਸ ਸੋ ਜਿਨ ਕੋ ਅਸ ਤੇਜੁ ਲਖਿਯੋ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੨੨੦੮॥

It was very difficult to see the effulgence of Krishna, when he carried his weapons.2208.

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

DOHRA

ਬਤੀਆ ਸੁਨਿ ਮੁਨਿ ਕੀ ਸਕਲ ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਸੈਨ ਬਨਾਇ ॥

ਜਹਿ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਕੋ ਪੁਰ ਹੁਤੋ ਤਹਿ ਹੀ ਪਹੁਚਿਯੋ ਆਇ ॥੨੨੦੯॥

Hearing the words of the sage, Krishna taking all his army alongwith him, reached there, where there was the city of the king Sahasrabahu.2209.

ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

SWAYYA

ਆਵਤ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਜੀ ਕੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਛਿਯੋ ਤਿਨ ਮੰਤ੍ਰਨ ਦੀਨੋ ॥

Hearing about the coming of Krishna, the king consulted his ministers

ਏਕ ਕਹੀ ਹਮ ਜੋ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਇਹ ਦੈ ਸੁ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤੁਹਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਨ ਲੀਨੋ ॥

The ministers said, “They have come to take your daughter and you do not accept this proposition

ਮਾਗ ਲਯੋ ਸਿਵ ਤੇ ਰਨ ਕੋ ਬਰੁ ਜਾਨਤ ਹੈ ਤੂ ਭਯੋ ਮਤਿ ਹੀਨੋ ॥

ਛੋਰਿਹੋ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਕਰਿ ਕੇ ਕਰ ਆਜੁ ਸੁ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਇਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਨ ਕੀਨੋ ॥੨੧੧੦॥

“You have asked for and got the boon from Shiva without understanding (its mystery), but on that side, Krishna has also avowed, therefore it will be wise to release both Usha and Aniruddh and also pay tribute to Krishna2210.

ਮਾਨੋ ਤੋ ਬਾਤ ਕਹੋ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਏਕ ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰਉਨਨ ਮੈ ਹਿਤ ਕੈ ਧਰੀਐ ॥

ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਅਨਰੁਧ ਕੋ ਲੈ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕੇ ਪਾਇਨ ਪੈ ਪਰੀਐ ॥

“O king! if you agree with us, then we say, take both Usha and Aniruddh with you and fall at the feet of Krishna.

ਤੁਮਰੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਪਾਇ ਪਰੈ ਸੁਨੀਐ ਨਹੀ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਬੈ ਲਰੀਐ ॥

“O king! we fall at your feet, never engage in fight with Krishna

ਅਰਿਹੋ ਨ ਜੋ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੋ ਭੂਅ ਪੈ ਤਬ ਰਾਜੁ ਸਦਾ ਕਰੀਐ ॥੨੨੧੧॥

There will be no other enemy like Krishna and if this enemy is converted into a friend, then you can rule all the world for ever.2211.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਇਕ ਜੋ ਰਿਸ ਕੈ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਕਰਿ ਜੋ ਧਨੁ ਸਾਰੰਗ ਲੈ ਹੈ ॥

ਕਉਨ ਬਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਯੋ ਭੂਅ ਪੈ ਤੁਮ ਹੂ ਨ ਕਹੋ ਬਲਿ ਜੋ ਠਹਰੈ ਹੈ ॥

“When Krishna in his fury will take his bow and arrows is his hands, then you may tell who else is more powerful, who will stay against him?

ਜੋ ਹਠ ਕੈ ਭਿਰਿਹੈ ਤਿਹ ਸੋ ਤਿਹ ਕਉ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਜਮਲੋਕਿ ਪਠੈ ਹੈ ॥

“He, who will fight with him, in persistence, he will dispatch him to the abode of Yama in an instant
