ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੂ ਕੇ ਦੇਖਤ ਹੀ ਤੇਊ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੇ ਲੋਕ ਕੀ ਓਰਿ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥੨੪੩੨॥

maat pitaa hoo ke dekhat hee teaoo braham ke lok kee or sidhaae |2432|

On seeing their parents, they all went to the abode of the Lord.2432.

ਅਥ ਸੁਭਦ੍ਰਾ ਕੋ ਬ੍ਯਾਹ ਕਥਨੰ ॥

ath subhadraa ko bayaah kathanan |

Now begins the description about the marriage of Subhadra

ਤੀਰਥ ਕਰਨ ਪਾਰਥ ਤਬ ਧਾਯੋ ॥

teerath karan paarath tab dhaayo |

Then Arjan went on a pilgrimage.

ਦੁਆਰਵਤੀ ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਦਰਸਾਯੋ ॥

duaaravatee jadupat darasaayo |

Then Arjuna went on pilgrimage and he had a sight of Krishna in Dwarka

ਅਉਰ ਸੁਭਦ੍ਰਾ ਰੂਪ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥

aaur subhadraa roop nihaariyo |

And saw the form of Subhadra.

ਚਿਤ ਕੋ ਸੋਕ ਦੂਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੨੪੩੩॥

chit ko sok door kar ddaariyo |2433|

There he saw the charming Subhadra, which removed the gried of his mind.2433.

ਯਾ ਕੋ ਬਰੋ ਇਹੈ ਚਿਤ ਆਯੋ ॥

yaa ko baro ihai chit aayo |

Marry him', this (thought) came to his mind.

ਉਹ ਕੋ ਉਤੈ ਚਿਤ ਲਲਚਾਯੋ ॥

auh ko utai chit lalachaayo |

Arjuna coveted to marry Subhadra

ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਬਾਤ ਸਭੈ ਇਹ ਜਾਨੀ ॥

jadupat baat sabhai ih jaanee |

Sri Krishna wanted to know all this

ਬਰਿਓ ਚਹਤ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ॥੨੪੩੪॥

bario chahat arajun abhimaanee |2434|

Krishna also came to know all about it that Arnuna wants to marry Subhadra.2434.

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

DOHRA

ਪਾਰਥ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਕੈ ਕਹੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਸਮਝਾਇ ॥

paarath nikatt bulaae kai kahee krisan samajhaae |

Sri Krishna called Arjan and explained the whole matter

ਤੁਮ ਸੁ ਸੁਭਦ੍ਰਾ ਕੋ ਹਰੋ ਹਉ ਨਹਿ ਲਰਿ ਹੋ ਆਇ ॥੨੪੩੫॥

tum su subhadraa ko haro hau neh lar ho aae |2435|

Calling Arjuna towards him, Krishna instructed him to abduct Subhadra and he would not wage a war with him.2435.

ਤਬ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਸੋਈ ਫੁਨਿ ਕਰਿਓ ॥

tab arajun soee fun kario |

Then Arjan did the same.

ਪੂਜਨ ਜਾਤ ਸੁਭਦ੍ਰਾ ਹਰਿਓ ॥

poojan jaat subhadraa hario |

Then Arjuna did the same and he abducted the adorable Subhadra

ਜਾਦਵ ਸਭੈ ਕੋਪ ਤਬ ਭਰੇ ॥

jaadav sabhai kop tab bhare |

Then all the Yadavas were filled with anger.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਪੈ ਆਇ ਪੁਕਰੇ ॥੨੪੩੬॥

sree jadupat pai aae pukare |2436|

Then all the Yadavas getting infuriated came to Krishna imploring him for help.2436.

ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

SWAYYA

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਰਾਜ ਤਬੈ ਤਿਨ ਸੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੁਨਾਈ ॥

sree brijaraaj tabai tin so kab sayaam kahai ih bhaat sunaaee |

Then Krishna said to those people.

ਬੀਰ ਬਡੇ ਤੁਮ ਹੂ ਹੋ ਕਹਾਵਤ ਜਾਇ ਮੰਡੋ ਤਿਹ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਰਾਈ ॥

beer badde tum hoo ho kahaavat jaae manddo tih sang laraaee |

“You people are known as great warriors you may go and fight with him

ਪਾਰਥ ਸੋ ਰਨ ਮਾਡਨ ਕਾਜ ਚਲੇ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੀ ਨਿਜਕਾਈ ॥

paarath so ran maaddan kaaj chale tumaree mrit hee nijakaaee |

“If you are going to fight with Arjuna, then this means that your death has come very near

ਕਿਉ ਨ ਚਲੋ ਤੁਮ ਮੈ ਤਬ ਤੈ ਤਜਿਓ ਆਹਵ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਇਹੈ ਠਹਿਰਾਈ ॥੨੪੩੭॥

kiau na chalo tum mai tab tai tajio aahav sayaam ihai tthahiraaee |2437|

I have relinquished fighting earlier, therefore you may go and fight.”2437.

ਤਬ ਜੋਧਾ ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਕੇ ਧਾਏ ॥

tab jodhaa jadupat ke dhaae |

Then Sri Krishna's warriors ran away.

ਪਾਰਥ ਕਉ ਏ ਬੈਨ ਸੁਨਾਏ ॥

paarath kau e bain sunaae |

Then the warrior of Krishna went and they said to Arjuna,

ਸੁਨ ਰੇ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਤੋ ਤੇ ਡਰਿ ਹੈ ॥

sun re arajun to te ddar hai |

O Arjan! Listen, (until now we) have been afraid of you.

ਮਹਾ ਪਤਿਤ ਤੇਰੋ ਬਧਿ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ॥੨੪੩੮॥

mahaa patit tero badh kar hai |2438|

“O Arjuna! we do not fear you, you are a great sinner, we shall kill you.”2438.

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਪੰਡੁ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਨੀ ਇਹੈ ਮਾਰਤ ਜਾਦਵ ਮੋਰ ॥

pandd putr jaanee ihai maarat jaadav mor |

Pandu son (Arjan) came to know that the Yadavas would kill me.

ਜੀਅ ਆਤੁਰ ਹੋਇ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹਿ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਦੁਆਰਕਾ ਓਰਿ ॥੨੪੩੯॥

jeea aatur hoe sayaam keh chaliyo duaarakaa or |2439|

When Arjuna thought that the Yadavas would kill him, then he became agitated and started for Dwarka.2439.

ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

SWAYYA

ਸੂਕ ਗਯੋ ਮੁਖ ਪਾਰਥ ਕੋ ਮੁਸਲੀਧਰਿ ਜੀਤ ਜਬੈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਆਯੋ ॥

sook gayo mukh paarath ko musaleedhar jeet jabai grihi aayo |

When Balram brought Arjan home, Arjan's mouth went dry.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਸਮੋਧ ਕੀਓ ਅਰੇ ਪਾਰਥ ਕਿਉ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਡਰ ਪਾਯੋ ॥

sree brijanaath samodh keeo are paarath kiau chit mai ddar paayo |

On being conquered by the people of Krishna, when Arjuna reached Dwarka, then Krishna counseled him, “O Arjuna! why are you afraid so much in your mind?”

ਬ੍ਯਾਹ ਸੁਭਦ੍ਰਾ ਕੋ ਕੀਨ ਤਬੈ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਮੁਸਲੀਧਰਿ ਕਉ ਸਮਝਾਯੋ ॥

bayaah subhadraa ko keen tabai jab hee musaleedhar kau samajhaayo |

When (Sri Krishna) explained to Balaram, he married Subhadra.

ਦਾਜ ਦਯੋ ਜਿਹ ਪਾਰ ਨ ਪਇਯਤ ਲੈ ਤਿਹ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਧਾਮਿ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥੨੪੪੦॥

daaj dayo jih paar na peiyat lai tih arajun dhaam sidhaayo |2440|

Then he explained to Balram and got the marriage of Subhadra solemnised with Arjuna, a great dowry was given to Arjuna, who on its receipt started for his home.2440.

ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰੇ ਪਾਰਥ ਸੁਭਦ੍ਰਾ ਕਉ ਹਰ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਯਾਹ ਕਰਿ ਲਯਾਵਤ ਭਏ ਧਿਆਇ ਸਮਾਪਤੰ ॥

eit sree bachitr naattak granthe krisanaavataare paarath subhadraa kau har ke bayaah kar layaavat bhe dhiaae samaapatan |

End of the chapter entitled “Arjuna brought Subhadra after abducting and marrying her” in Krishnavatara in Bachittar Natak.

ਅਥ ਮਿਥਲਾਪੁਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਰੁ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਨ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗੁ ਅਰੁ ਭਸਮਾਗਦ ਦੈਤ ਕੋ ਛਲ ਕੇ ਮਾਰ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਕੌ ਛਡਾਵਤ ਭਏ ॥

ath mithalaapur raaje ar braahaman kaa prasang ar bhasamaagad dait ko chhal ke maar rudr kau chhaddaavat bhe |

Now begins the description of the king and Brahmin and the description of the killing of the demon Bhasmangad and getting the release of Shiva

ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਮਿਥਲ ਦੇਸ ਕੋ ਭੂਪ ਇਕ ਅਤਿਹੁਲਾਸ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮ ॥

mithal des ko bhoop ik atihulaas tih naam |

There was a king of Mithila country, whose name was Atihulas

ਜਦੁਪਤਿ ਕੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰੈ ਨਿਸਿ ਦਿਨ ਆਠੋ ਜਾਮ ॥੨੪੪੧॥

jadupat kee poojaa karai nis din aattho jaam |2441|

He used to worship and make offerings all the time to Krishna.2441.

ਮਤ ਕੇ ਦਿਜ ਇਕ ਥੋ ਤਹਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਨ ਲੇਇ ॥

mat ke dij ik tho tahaa bin har naam na lee |

There was a Brahmin there, who did not utter anything else except the Name of the Lord

ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਬਾਤੈ ਕਰੈ ਤਾਹੀ ਮੈ ਚਿਤ ਦੇਇ ॥੨੪੪੨॥

jo har kee baatai karai taahee mai chit dee |2442|

He only used to talk about God and always remained absorbed in that in his mind.2442.

ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਭੂਪਤਿ ਜਾਇ ਦਿਜੋਤਮ ਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਹੇਰਹਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਬਿਚਾਰੈ ॥

bhoopat jaae dijotam ke grihi hereh sree brijanaath bichaarai |

The king (of Mithala) went to the house of that great Brahmin and thought only of seeing Sri Krishna.

ਅਉਰ ਕਛੂ ਨਹਿ ਬਾਤ ਕਰੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਦੋਊ ਸਾਝ ਸਵਾਰੈ ॥

aaur kachhoo neh baat karai kab sayaam kahai doaoo saajh savaarai |

The king went to that Brahmin’s house and told about his intention of visiting Krishna and both of them did not talk anything else in mornings and evenings except Krishna.
