ਭਾਜਿ ਚਲੌ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਦੇਤ ਗਹਾਈ ॥੪੧॥
bhaaj chalau triy det gahaaee |41|But if I try to run away, she will get me caught.(41)
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਯਾਕੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰੋ ॥
taa te yaakee usatat karo |So praise it
ਚਰਿਤ ਖੇਲਿ ਯਾ ਕੋ ਪਰਹਰੋ ॥
charit khel yaa ko paraharo |‘It will be better if I praise her and through dramatisation get rid of her.
ਬਿਨੁ ਰਤਿ ਕਰੈ ਤਰਨਿ ਜਿਯ ਮਾਰੈ ॥
bin rat karai taran jiy maarai |‘Without agreeing to commit sex, she will kill me.
ਕਵਨ ਸਿਖ੍ਯ ਮੁਹਿ ਆਨਿ ਉਬਾਰੈ ॥੪੨॥
kavan sikhay muhi aan ubaarai |42|‘I wish some disciple of mine could come and save me.’(42)

ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਤਵ ਰੂਪ ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਪਿਤੁ ਮਾਤ ਤਿਹਾਰੋ ॥
dhanay tarun tav roop dhanay pit maat tihaaro |(He said to her), ‘You are admirable and so are your mother and father.
ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਨ ਹਾਰੋ ॥
dhanay tihaare des dhanay pratipaalan haaro |‘Your country is commendable and commendable are your sustainers.
ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਵ ਬਕ੍ਰਤ ਅਧਿਕ ਜਾ ਮੈ ਛਬਿ ਛਾਜੈ ॥
dhanay kuar tav bakrat adhik jaa mai chhab chhaajai |‘Your face, which is very pretty, is so meritorious,
ਹੋ ਜਲਜ ਸੂਰ ਅਰੁ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਦ੍ਰਪ ਕੰਦ੍ਰਪ ਲਖਿ ਭਾਜੈ ॥੪੩॥
ho jalaj soor ar chandr drap kandrap lakh bhaajai |43|‘That, even, the Lotus- flower, Sun, Moon and Cupid lose their vanity.(43)
ਸੁਭ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਤਨ ਭਰੇ ਚਾਰੁ ਚੰਚਲ ਚਖੁ ਸੋਹਹਿ ॥
subh suhaag tan bhare chaar chanchal chakh soheh |‘Your body is blissful and your eyes are coquettish.
ਖਗ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਜਛ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਅਸੁਰ ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ਮੁਨਿ ਮੋਹਹਿ ॥
khag mrig jachh bhujang asur sur nar mun moheh |‘You are winsome to all, the birds, deer, beasts, reptiles and demons,
ਸਿਵ ਸਨਕਾਦਿਕ ਥਕਿਤ ਰਹਿਤ ਲਖਿ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਹਾਰੇ ॥
siv sanakaadik thakit rahit lakh netr tihaare |‘Shiva and all his four sons have languished by looking at your eyes.
ਹੋ ਅਤਿ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਚੁਭਤ ਨਹਿ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੪੪॥
ho at asacharaj kee baat chubhat neh hridai hamaare |44|‘But the strange phenomena is that your eyes have not been able to penetrate into my heart.’(44)
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਪੌਢਤੀ ਅੰਕ ਪ੍ਰਜੰਕ ਲਲਾ ਕੋ ਲੈ ਕਾਹੂ ਸੋ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਭਾਖਤ ਜੀ ਕੋ ॥
pauadtatee ank prajank lalaa ko lai kaahoo so bhed na bhaakhat jee ko |(She replied,) ‘Cuddling you I will lie down on the bed and will never divulge this secret to anyone.
ਕੇਲ ਕਮਾਤ ਬਹਾਤ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਸਿ ਮੈਨ ਕਲੋਲ ਨ ਲਾਗਤ ਫੀਕੋ ॥
kel kamaat bahaat sadaa nis main kalol na laagat feeko |‘Frolicking thus, whole night will pass, and, even the Cupids play will seem trivial.
ਜਾਗਤ ਲਾਜ ਬਢੀ ਤਹ ਮੈ ਡਰ ਲਾਗਤ ਹੈ ਸਜਨੀ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਕੋ ॥
jaagat laaj badtee tah mai ddar laagat hai sajanee sabh hee ko |‘I am living on dreams (about you) and wake up afraid of losing you.
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਿਚਾਰਤ ਹੌ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਇਹ ਜਾਗਨ ਤੇ ਸਖਿ ਸੋਵਨ ਨੀਕੋ ॥੪੫॥
taa te bichaarat hau chit mai ih jaagan te sakh sovan neeko |45|‘I would rather die, than to wake up from such a dream.’(45)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਬਹੁਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਤਿਹ ਰਾਇ ਸੋ ਯੌ ਬਚ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸੁਨਾਇ ॥
bahur triyaa tih raae so yau bach kahiyo sunaae |Then she declared loudly and told, the Raja.
ਆਜ ਭੋਗ ਤੋ ਸੋ ਕਰੌ ਕੈ ਮਰਿਹੌ ਬਿਖੁ ਖਾਇ ॥੪੬॥
aaj bhog to so karau kai marihau bikh khaae |46|‘Either I will have sex with you or I will kill myself by taking poison.’(46)
ਬਿਸਿਖੀ ਬਰਾਬਰਿ ਨੈਨ ਤਵ ਬਿਧਨਾ ਧਰੇ ਬਨਾਇ ॥
bisikhee baraabar nain tav bidhanaa dhare banaae |(Raja,) ‘God has created your eyes like sharp arrows,
ਲਾਜ ਕੌਚ ਮੋ ਕੌ ਦਯੋ ਚੁਭਤ ਨ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਆਇ ॥੪੭॥
laaj kauach mo kau dayo chubhat na taa te aae |47|‘But He has endowed me modesty and that is why they cannot pierce me.(47)
ਬਨੇ ਠਨੇ ਆਵਤ ਘਨੇ ਹੇਰਤ ਹਰਤ ਗ੍ਯਾਨ ॥
bane tthane aavat ghane herat harat gayaan |‘Your eyes are penetrating and on the very first sight they oust the knowledge.
ਭੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਕੌ ਕਛੁ ਨਹੀ ਡਹਕੂ ਬੇਰ ਸਮਾਨ ॥੪੮॥
bhog karan kau kachh nahee ddahakoo ber samaan |48|‘But for me, having no attraction for sex, they are merely like berries.’(48)
ਧੰਨ੍ਯ ਬੇਰ ਹਮ ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਪਥਿਕ ਕੌ ਲੇਤ ॥
dhanay ber ham te jagat nirakh pathik kau let |(She) ‘Worthy are those berries whom whole world can see,
ਬਰਬਸ ਖੁਆਵਤ ਫਲ ਪਕਰਿ ਜਾਨ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਘਰ ਦੇਤ ॥੪੯॥
barabas khuaavat fal pakar jaan bahur ghar det |49|‘And the trees, whose fruit people eat and go home satisfied.’(49)
ਅਟਪਟਾਇ ਬਾਤੇ ਕਰੈ ਮਿਲ੍ਯੋ ਚਹਤ ਪਿਯ ਸੰਗ ॥
attapattaae baate karai milayo chahat piy sang |Talking nonsensically, she was becoming impatient to meet her love.
ਮੈਨ ਬਾਨ ਬਾਲਾ ਬਿਧੀ ਬਿਰਹ ਬਿਕਲ ਭਯੋ ਅੰਗ ॥੫੦॥
main baan baalaa bidhee birah bikal bhayo ang |50|Her each and every limb was demanding, because she was absolutely stung with the passion.(50)

ਸੁਧਿ ਜਬ ਤੇ ਹਮ ਧਰੀ ਬਚਨ ਗੁਰ ਦਏ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥
sudh jab te ham dharee bachan gur de hamaare |(Raja) ‘Since the time I realized the sense of maturity, which my Guru had taught,
ਪੂਤ ਇਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਨ ਤੋਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਜਬ ਲਗ ਘਟ ਥਾਰੇ ॥
poot ihai pran tohi praan jab lag ghatt thaare |“Aye My Son, so long as there is life m your body,
ਨਿਜ ਨਾਰੀ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ ਨੇਹੁ ਤੁਮ ਨਿਤ ਬਢੈਯਹੁ ॥
nij naaree ke saath nehu tum nit badtaiyahu |“You promise to enhance love with your own wife,
ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਕੀ ਸੇਜ ਭੂਲਿ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਹੂੰ ਨ ਜੈਯਹੁ ॥੫੧॥
par naaree kee sej bhool supane hoon na jaiyahu |51|“But never, even by mistake, bed with else’s wife.(51)
ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਕੇ ਭਜੇ ਸਹਸ ਬਾਸਵ ਭਗ ਪਾਏ ॥
par naaree ke bhaje sahas baasav bhag paae |“By relishing else’s wife, Inder, the god was showered with female genitals.
ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਕੇ ਭਜੇ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਕਾਲੰਕ ਲਗਾਏ ॥
par naaree ke bhaje chandr kaalank lagaae |“By relishing else’s wife, Moon was blemished.
ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਕੇ ਹੇਤ ਸੀਸ ਦਸ ਸੀਸ ਗਵਾਯੋ ॥
par naaree ke het sees das sees gavaayo |“By relishing else’s wife, Ten Headed Raawana lost all his ten heads.
ਹੋ ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਕੇ ਹੇਤ ਕਟਕ ਕਵਰਨ ਕੌ ਘਾਯੋ ॥੫੨॥
ho par naaree ke het kattak kavaran kau ghaayo |52|“By relishing else’s wife all the clan of Korav was annihilated.(52)
ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਸੌ ਨੇਹੁ ਛੁਰੀ ਪੈਨੀ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨਹੁ ॥
par naaree sau nehu chhuree painee kar jaanahu |“The love with else’s wife is like a sharp dagger.
ਪਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਕੇ ਭਜੇ ਕਾਲ ਬ੍ਯਾਪਯੋ ਤਨ ਮਾਨਹੁ ॥
par naaree ke bhaje kaal bayaapayo tan maanahu |“The love with else’s wife is an invitation to death.
ਅਧਿਕ ਹਰੀਫੀ ਜਾਨਿ ਭੋਗ ਪਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਜੋ ਕਰਹੀ ॥
adhik hareefee jaan bhog par triy jo karahee |“The one who thinks himself to be very brave and indulges carnally with else’s wife,
ਹੋ ਅੰਤ ਸ੍ਵਾਨ ਕੀ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਾਥ ਲੇਾਂਡੀ ਕੇ ਮਰਹੀ ॥੫੩॥
ho ant svaan kee mrit haath leaanddee ke marahee |53|“He is killed in the hands of a coward like a dog.”(53)
ਬਾਲ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਦੇਸ ਦੇਸਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਆਵਹਿ ॥
baal hamaare paas des desan triy aaveh |“Listen lady! Women come to us from far off lands,
ਮਨ ਬਾਛਤ ਬਰ ਮਾਗਿ ਜਾਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਸੀਸ ਝੁਕਾਵਹਿ ॥
man baachhat bar maag jaan gur sees jhukaaveh |“They bow their heads and wish for boons.
ਸਿਖ੍ਯ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਸੁਤਾ ਜਾਨਿ ਅਪਨੇ ਚਿਤ ਧਰਿਯੈ ॥
sikhay putr triy sutaa jaan apane chit dhariyai |“Those Sikhs (disciples) are like my sons and their wives like my daughters.
ਹੋ ਕਹੁ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ਗਵਨ ਕੈਸੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿਯੈ ॥੫੪॥
ho kahu sundar tih saath gavan kaise kar kariyai |54|“Tell me, now, the pretty one, how could I copulate with them.”(54)
