ਰਾਸ ਬਿਖੈ ਹਮ ਕੋ ਸੰਗ ਲੈ ਸਖੀ ਜਾਨਤ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਸੰਗ ਅਰੋਗੇ ॥
raas bikhai ham ko sang lai sakhee jaanat gvaaran sang aroge |You will take me alongwith you in the arena of amorous sport, but I know that there you will engage yourself with other gopis
ਹਉ ਨਹੀ ਹਾਰਿ ਹਉ ਪੈ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਹਮ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਾਰਿ ਪਰੋਗੇ ॥
hau nahee haar hau pai tum te tum hee ham te har haar paroge |“O Krishna! I do not feel defeated by you, but in future also, you will be defeated by me
ਏਕ ਨ ਜਾਨਤ ਕੁੰਜ ਗਲੀਨ ਲਵਾਇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਕਛੁ ਕਾਜੁ ਕਰੋਗੇ ॥੭੪੬॥
ek na jaanat kunj galeen lavaae kahiyo kachh kaaj karoge |746|You do not know anything about any alcove, what will you do by taking me there.”746.
ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨ ਸੁਤਾ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਅਤਿ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਰਸ ਭੀਤਰ ਭੀਨੀ ॥
brikhabhaan sutaa kab sayaam kahai at jo har ke ras bheetar bheenee |The poet Shyam says that Radha became absorbed in the love of Krishna
ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਹਸਿ ਕੈ ਛਬਿ ਦਾਤਨ ਕੀ ਅਤਿ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਚੀਨੀ ॥
ree brijanaath kahiyo has kai chhab daatan kee at sundar cheenee |She said smilingly to the Lord of Braja and the winsome luster of her teeth,
ਤਾ ਛਬਿ ਕੀ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਜੁ ਭਈ ਕਬਿ ਕੇ ਸੋਊ ਕੀਨੀ ॥
taa chhab kee at hee upamaa man mai ju bhee kab ke soaoo keenee |While smiling looked like the flash of lightning amongst the clouds, according to the poet
ਜਿਉ ਘਨ ਬੀਚ ਲਸੈ ਚਪਲਾ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਠਗ ਕੈ ਠਗਨੀ ਠਗ ਲੀਨੀ ॥੭੪੭॥
jiau ghan beech lasai chapalaa tih ko tthag kai tthaganee tthag leenee |747|In this way that deceitful gopi (Radha) deceived the cheat (Krishna).747.
ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨ ਸੁਤਾ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਅਤਿ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਰਸ ਭੀਤਰ ਭੀਨੀ ॥
brikhabhaan sutaa kab sayaam kahai at jo har ke ras bheetar bheenee |Says the poet Shyam, who is deeply absorbed in the mind of Sri Krishna,
ਬੀਚ ਹੁਲਾਸ ਬਢਿਯੋ ਮਨ ਕੈ ਜਬ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ੍ਰਹ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ਸਭੈ ਮਨਿ ਲੀਨੀ ॥
beech hulaas badtiyo man kai jab kaanrahrah kee baat sabhai man leenee |Radha was completely filled with the passionate love of Krishna and remembering his words, she was filled with joy in her mind
ਕੁੰਜ ਗਲੀਨ ਮੈ ਖੇਲਹਿੰਗੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਤਿਨ ਸੰਗ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸੋਊ ਕੀਨੀ ॥
kunj galeen mai khelahinge har ke tin sang kahiyo soaoo keenee |He told Sri Krishna, 'Kunj will play in the streets', he agreed.
ਯੌ ਹਸਿ ਬਾਤ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਦੁਚਿਤਾਈ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਤਜਿ ਦੀਨੀ ॥੭੪੮॥
yau has baat nisang kahiyo man kee duchitaaee sabh hee taj deenee |748|She said, “I shall play with Krishna in the alcoves and I shall do whatever he says.” saying this, she, unhesitantingly, abandoned all her duality of the mind.748.
ਦੋਊ ਜਉ ਹਸਿ ਬਾਤਨ ਸੰਗ ਢਰੇ ਤੁ ਹੁਲਾਸ ਬਿਲਾਸ ਬਢੇ ਸਗਰੇ ॥
doaoo jau has baatan sang dtare tu hulaas bilaas badte sagare |When both of them, talking smilingly, fell down, their love and merriment increased
ਹਸਿ ਕੰਠ ਲਗਾਇ ਲਈ ਲਲਨਾ ਗਹਿ ਗਾੜੇ ਅਨੰਗ ਤੇ ਅੰਕ ਭਰੇ ॥
has kantth lagaae lee lalanaa geh gaarre anang te ank bhare |Krishna smilingly hugged that beloved to his bosom and with his strength he embraced her
ਤਰਕੀ ਹੈ ਤਨੀ ਦਰਕੀ ਅੰਗੀਆ ਗਰ ਮਾਲ ਤੇ ਟੂਟ ਕੈ ਲਾਲ ਪਰੇ ॥
tarakee hai tanee darakee angeea gar maal te ttoott kai laal pare |In this act, the blouse of Radha was pulled and its string was broken
ਪੀਯ ਕੇ ਮਿਲਏ ਤ੍ਰੀਯ ਕੇ ਹੀਯ ਤੇ ਅੰਗਰਾ ਬਿਰਹਾਗਨਿ ਕੇ ਨਿਕਰੇ ॥੭੪੯॥
peey ke mile treey ke heey te angaraa birahaagan ke nikare |749|The gems of her necklace also broke and fell down, meeting her beloved, the limbs of Radha came out of the fire of separation.749.
ਹਰਿ ਰਾਧਿਕਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਚਲੇ ਬਨ ਲੈ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਨੰਦ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
har raadhikaa sang chale ban lai kab sayaam kahai man aanand paayo |The poet says that Krishna, being filled with bliss in his mind, took Radha with him and went towards the forest
ਕੁੰਜ ਗਲੀਨ ਮੈ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੇ ਮਨ ਕੋ ਸਭ ਸੋਕ ਹੁਤੋ ਬਿਸਰਾਯੋ ॥
kunj galeen mai kel kare man ko sabh sok huto bisaraayo |Roaming in the alcoves, he forgot the sorrow of his mind
ਤਾਹੀ ਕਥਾ ਕੌ ਕਿਧੌ ਜਗ ਮੈ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਸੁਕ ਆਦਿਕ ਗਾਇ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥
taahee kathaa kau kidhau jag mai man mai suk aadik gaae sunaayo |This love-story has been sung by Shukdev and others
ਜੋਊ ਸੁਨੈ ਸੋਊ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੈ ਜਿਹ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਧਰਿ ਮੈ ਜਸੁ ਛਾਯੋ ॥੭੫੦॥
joaoo sunai soaoo reejh rahai jih ke sabh hee dhar mai jas chhaayo |750|Krishna, whose praise has been spread throughout the whole world, whosoever listens to his story, is fascinated by it.750.
ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਜੂ ਬਾਚ ਰਾਧੇ ਸੋ ॥
kaanrah joo baach raadhe so |Speech of Krishna addressed to Radha:
ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਹਰਿ ਜੂ ਇਮ ਰਾਧਿਕਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਹੀ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਮੈ ਤਰੋ ਤੁਮ ਕੋ ਗਹਿ ਹੈ ॥
har joo im raadhikaa sang kahee jamunaa mai taro tum ko geh hai |Krishna said to Radha, “Your swim in Yamuna and I shall catch you
ਜਲ ਮੈ ਹਮ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੈਗੇ ਸੁਨੋ ਰਸ ਬਾਤ ਸਭੈ ਸੁ ਤਹਾ ਕਹਿ ਹੈ ॥
jal mai ham kel karaige suno ras baat sabhai su tahaa keh hai |We will perform acts of love in water and shall also talk to you there everything about love
ਜਿਹ ਓਰ ਨਿਹਾਰ ਬਧੂ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਕੀ ਲਲਚਾਇ ਮਨੈ ਪਿਖਿਬੋ ਚਹਿ ਹੈ ॥
jih or nihaar badhoo brij kee lalachaae manai pikhibo cheh hai |“When the women of Braja will see you here covetously,
ਪਹੁਚੈਗੀ ਨਹਿ ਤਹ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਏ ਹਮ ਹੂੰ ਤੁਮ ਰੀਝਤ ਹਾਰਹਿ ਹੈ ॥੭੫੧॥
pahuchaigee neh tah gvaaran e ham hoon tum reejhat haareh hai |751|They will not be able to reach upto this place, we will remain there delightfully.”751.
ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨ ਸੁਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਜਲ ਪੈਠਨ ਕੀ ਬਤੀਯਾ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
brikhabhaan sutaa har ke mukh te jal paitthan kee bateeyaa sun paaee |(When) Radha heard from Sri Krishna's mouth about entering the water,
ਧਾਇ ਕੈ ਜਾਇ ਪਰੀ ਸਰ ਮੈ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥਿ ਬਡਾਈ ॥
dhaae kai jaae paree sar mai kar kai at hee brijanaath baddaaee |Hearing the words of Krishna, about going within the water, Radha ran and jumped in water
ਤਾਹੀ ਕੇ ਪਾਛੈ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਪਰੇ ਕਬਿ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਉਪਮਾ ਇਹ ਆਈ ॥
taahee ke paachhai te sayaam pare kab ke man mai upamaa ih aaee |Shri Krishna also went (jumping) behind him. (Seeing this scene) this simile arose in the mind of the poet.
ਮਾਨਹੁ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਜੂ ਬਾਜ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਪਿਖਿ ਕੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਰਿ ਕੋ ਜਿਉ ਮੁਰਗਾਈ ॥੭੫੨॥
maanahu sayaam joo baaj pariyo pikh kai brij naar ko jiau muragaaee |752|Krishna followed her and according to the poet it seemed that in order to catch the Radha-bird, Krishna-falcon pounced upon her.752.
ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਤਬੈ ਧਸਿ ਕੈ ਜਲਿ ਮੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੋਊ ਤਬ ਜਾਇ ਗਹੀ ॥
brijanaath tabai dhas kai jal mai brij naar soaoo tab jaae gahee |Swimming in water, Krishna caught hold of Radha ,surrendering her body to Krishna,
ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਤਨ ਭੇਟ ਹੁਲਾਸ ਬਢਿਯੋ ਗਿਨਤੀ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਜਲ ਭਾਤਿ ਬਹੀ ॥
har ko tan bhett hulaas badtiyo ginatee man kee jal bhaat bahee |The joy of Radha was increased and the illusions of her mind flowed away like water
ਜੋਊ ਆਨੰਦ ਬੀਚ ਬਢਿਯੋ ਮਨ ਕੈ ਕਬਿ ਤਉ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਕਥਾ ਭਾਖਿ ਕਹੀ ॥
joaoo aanand beech badtiyo man kai kab tau mukh te kathaa bhaakh kahee |The bliss enhanced in her mind and according to the poet,
ਪਿਖਿਯੋ ਜਿਨ ਹੂੰ ਸੋਊ ਰੀਝ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਪਿਖਿ ਕੈ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਜਿਹ ਰੀਝ ਰਹੀ ॥੭੫੩॥
pikhiyo jin hoon soaoo reejh rahiyo pikh kai jamunaa jih reejh rahee |753|Whosoever saw her, he was allured, Yamuna was also charmed.753.
ਜਲ ਤੇ ਕਢਿ ਕੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਸੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਰਾਸ ਮਚਾਯੋ ॥
jal te kadt kai fir gvaaran so kab sayaam kahai fir raas machaayo |Coming out of water, Krishna again began to engross himself in the passionate and
ਗਾਵਤ ਭੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਖਭਾਨ ਸੁਤਾ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
gaavat bhee brikhabhaan sutaa at hee man bheetar aanand paayo |Amorous play alongwith the gopis, Radha, with great joy in her mind, began to sing
ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਨਾਰਿਨ ਸੋ ਮਿਲ ਕੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਜੂ ਸਾਰੰਗ ਮੈ ਇਕ ਤਾਨ ਬਸਾਯੋ ॥
brij naarin so mil kai brijanaath joo saarang mai ik taan basaayo |Together with the women of Braj, Sri Krishna played a line of sarang (raag). U
ਸੋ ਸੁਨ ਕੈ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਆਵਤ ਧਾਵਤ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨੀਆ ਸੁਨ ਕੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੭੫੪॥
so sun kai mrig aavat dhaavat gvaaraneea sun kai sukh paayo |754|Together with the women of Braja, Krishna played upon a tune in the musical mode of Sarang, hearing which the deer came running and the gopis also felt pleased.754.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਸਤ੍ਰਹ ਸੈ ਪੈਤਾਲ ਮੈ ਕੀਨੀ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਧਾਰ ॥
satrah sai paitaal mai keenee kathaa sudhaar |(Sammat) This story was well composed in seventeen hundred and forty-five.
ਚੂਕ ਹੋਇ ਜਹ ਤਹ ਸੁ ਕਬਿ ਲੀਜਹੁ ਸਕਲ ਸੁਧਾਰ ॥੭੫੫॥
chook hoe jah tah su kab leejahu sakal sudhaar |755|In Samvat 1745, the story of this poet was improved and if there is any error and omission in it, then the poets may still improve it.755.
ਬਿਨਤਿ ਕਰੋ ਦੋਊ ਜੋਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਸੁਨੋ ਜਗਤ ਕੇ ਰਾਇ ॥
binat karo doaoo jor kar suno jagat ke raae |O king of the world! With folded hands please,
ਮੋ ਮਸਤਕ ਤ੍ਵ ਪਗ ਸਦਾ ਰਹੈ ਦਾਸ ਕੇ ਭਾਇ ॥੭੫੬॥
mo masatak tv pag sadaa rahai daas ke bhaae |756|I request folding both my hands, O the Lord of the world! Thy servent may ever have this wish that my forehead may always remain in love with Thy feet.756.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਸਮ ਸਿਕੰਧੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਟਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨਾਵਤਾਰੇ ਰਾਸ ਮੰਡਲ ਬਰਨਨੰ ਧਿਆਇ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥
eit sree dasam sikandhe puraane bachitr naattak granthe krisanaavataare raas manddal barananan dhiaae samaapatam sat subham sat |End of the chapter entitled “The description of the arena of amorous play” (Based on Dasham Sakandh Purana) in Krishnavatara in Bachittar Natak.
ਸੁਦਰਸਨ ਨਾਮ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਣੁ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਜੋਨ ਤੇ ਉਧਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਕਥਨੰ ॥
sudarasan naam brahaman bhujang jon te udhaar karan kathanan |Salvation of a Brahmin named Sudarshan from snake-birth

din poojaa ko aae lagiyo tih ko joaoo gvaaraneeyaa at kai hit sevee |The goddess whom the gopis had worshipped, her day of worship arrived
ਜਾ ਰਿਪ ਸੁੰਭ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਮਰਿਯੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਜਗ ਮਾਤ ਅਭੇਵੀ ॥
jaa rip sunbh nisunbh mariyo kab sayaam kahai jag maat abhevee |She was the same goddess who had killed the demons named Sumbh and Nisumbh and who is known is the world as the undistinguishable mother
ਨਾਸ ਭਏ ਜਗ ਮੈ ਜਨ ਸੋ ਜਿਨਹੂ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਕੁਪ ਕੈ ਨਹਿ ਸੇਵੀ ॥
naas bhe jag mai jan so jinahoo man mai kup kai neh sevee |Those people who have not remembered her, they were destroyed in the world
