ਜੋ ਕਛੁ ਕਹੋ ਕਰਿਹੋ ਅਬ ਸੋਈ ॥
jo kachh kaho kariho ab soee |I will do whatever (you) say now
ਤਵ ਆਗ੍ਯਾ ਫੇਰਿ ਹੈ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੪੪॥
tav aagayaa fer hai na koee |44|‘I will render every service to your desire and will never evade.’(44)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਮੈ ਯਾ ਸੋ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਕਰੋ ਕਹਿ ਅਲਿ ਦਈ ਉਠਾਇ ॥
mai yaa so gosatt karo keh al dee utthaae |‘I will have a talk with him alone, saying so she made all the others to leave the place.
ਆਪੁ ਆਇ ਤਾ ਸੋ ਰਮੀ ਹ੍ਰਿਦੈ ਹਰਖ ਉਪਜਾਇ ॥੪੫॥
aap aae taa so ramee hridai harakh upajaae |45|Then, herself, started to quench the thirst of her heart.(45)
ਲੈ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਘਰ ਚਲੀ ਮਨ ਮਾਨਤ ਕਰਿ ਭੋਗ ॥
lai taa ko ghar chalee man maanat kar bhog |She felt homely with him, and commenced favourite sex-plays.
ਯਾਹਿ ਮਿਲਿਯੋ ਸਭ ਹਰਿ ਕਹੈ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਲੋਗ ॥੪੬॥
yaeh miliyo sabh har kahai bhed na jaaneh log |46|‘I will have a talk with him alone, saying so she made all the others to the secret.(46)
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਤਵਨ ਜਾਰ ਕੋ ਸੰਗ ਲੈ ਚਲੀ ॥
tavan jaar ko sang lai chalee |(He) taking fifty girlfriends with him
ਲੀਨੇ ਸਾਥਿ ਪਚਾਸਕਿ ਅਲੀ ॥
leene saath pachaasak alee |Then she brought her paramour to her home along with other fifty friends.
ਗੋਸਟਿ ਹੇਤ ਧਾਮ ਤਿਹ ਆਵੈ ॥
gosatt het dhaam tih aavai |He used to come to her house to visit
ਸੰਕ ਤ੍ਯਾਗਿ ਕਰਿ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥੪੭॥
sank tayaag kar bhog kamaavai |47|With sweet talks, she impressed all, and, then making them to leave, she enjoyed sex-plays.(47)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਤਵਨ ਜਾਰ ਸੌ ਯੌ ਰਹੈ ਨਿਜੁ ਨਾਰੀ ਜਿਯੋ ਹੋਇ ॥
tavan jaar sau yau rahai nij naaree jiyo hoe |The lover lived there as if he was living with his own wife.
ਲੋਗ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਹਿ ਪਗ ਪਰੈ ਭੇਦ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੪੮॥
log guroo keh pag parai bhed na paavai koe |48|But the people considered him Guru and did not understand inner secret.(48)
ਚੰਚਲਾਨ ਕੇ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੋ ਸਕਤ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਪਾਇ ॥
chanchalaan ke charitr ko sakat na koaoo paae |No one can understand the cryptic character of women,
ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਸੂਰ ਸੁਰ ਅਸੁਰ ਸਭ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬਿਸਨ ਸੁਰ ਰਾਇ ॥੪੯॥
chandr soor sur asur sabh braham bisan sur raae |49|Not even Sun, Moon, gods, demons, Brahma, Vishnu and Indra.(49)(1)

ਗੰਗ ਜਮੁਨ ਭੀਤਰ ਬਸੈ ਕੈਲਾਖਰ ਦੀ ਦੂਨ ॥
gang jamun bheetar basai kailaakhar dee doon |There exists a valley at Kailakhar, at the confluence of the River Jamuna and the Rives Ganga.
ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਲੋਗ ਬਸੈ ਘਨੈ ਪ੍ਰਤਛ ਪਸੂ ਕੀ ਜੂਨ ॥੧॥
tih tthaa log basai ghanai pratachh pasoo kee joon |1|The people of that place lived a life of destitute, like the animals.(1)

ਬਹੁਰਿ ਸੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥
bahur su mantree bachan uchaare |Then the minister spoke.
ਸੁਨਹੁ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਨ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਯਾਰੇ ॥
sunahu nripat praanan te payaare |The Minister said, ‘Listen My most cherished Majesty,
ਏਕ ਕਥਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਸੁਨਾਊ ॥
ek kathaa triy tumeh sunaaoo |Let me tell you the story of a woman
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਮਰੋ ਤਾਪ ਮਿਟਾਊ ॥੨॥
taa te tumaro taap mittaaoo |2|‘Now 1 will tell you the story which will illuminate all your anxieties.’(2)

ਕੈਲਾਖਰ ਕੇ ਰਾਵ ਕੀ ਏਕ ਹੁਤੀ ਬਰ ਨਾਰਿ ॥
kailaakhar ke raav kee ek hutee bar naar |The Raja of Kailakhar had a very pretty lady.
ਰਾਜ ਨਸਟ ਕੇ ਹੇਤੁ ਤਿਨ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਕਿਯਾ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
raaj nasatt ke het tin chit mai kiyaa bichaar |3|Once in her mind she contemplated of destroying the monarchy.(3)

ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਇਕ ਰਾਨੀ ॥
prem kuar taa kee ik raanee |His love was a queen named Kunvri.
ਬਿਰਧ ਰਾਵ ਲਖਿ ਕਰਿ ਡਰ ਪਾਨੀ ॥
biradh raav lakh kar ddar paanee |Prem Kumari was the name of that Rani.
ਯਾ ਕੇ ਧਾਮ ਏਕ ਸੁਤ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
yaa ke dhaam ek sut naahee |Observing the Raja’s old age, she was always apprehensive.
ਇਹ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਚਿਤ ਮਾਹੀ ॥੪॥
eih chintaa taa ke chit maahee |4|One factor always worried her the Raja had no male issue.( 4)
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਯਾ ਕੇ ਭਯੋ ਬਿਰਧ ਗਯੋ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਾਇ ॥
putr na grih yaa ke bhayo biradh gayo hvai raae |The Raja had no issue and he was getting old.
ਕੇਲ ਕਲਾ ਤੈ ਥਕਿ ਗਯੋ ਸਕਤ ਨ ਸੁਤ ਉਪਜਾਇ ॥੫॥
kel kalaa tai thak gayo sakat na sut upajaae |5|He had lacked sexual potency and was unable to produce a child.(5)
ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਛੂ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਨੈਯੇ ॥
taa te kachhoo charitr banaiye |(Queen thought) Then a character should be made
ਰਾਜ ਧਾਮ ਤੇ ਜਾਨ ਨ ਦੈਯੈ ॥
raaj dhaam te jaan na daiyai |(She thought) ‘I should conduct some manoeuvring and should not let the throne slip out of my hands.
ਪੂਤ ਅਨਤ ਕੌ ਲੈ ਕਰਿ ਪਰਿਯੈ ॥
poot anat kau lai kar pariyai |Someone else's son should be adopted
ਨਾਮ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਕੌ ਬਦਨ ਉਚਰਿਯੈ ॥੬॥
naam nripat kau badan uchariyai |6|‘I should get child through some body else and announce it to be of Raja.’(6)

ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਇਕ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਹੁਤੀ ਲੀਨੀ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥
garabhavatee ik triy hutee leenee nikatt bulaae |There was a pregnant lady, which she called to her house.
ਰਨਿਯਹਿ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਅਧਾਨ ਜਗ ਐਸੇ ਦਈ ਉਡਾਇ ॥੭॥
raniyeh rahiyo adhaan jag aaise dee uddaae |7|She let loose the rumour that the Rani was pregnant.(7)
ਅਧਿਕ ਦਰਬ ਤਾ ਕੌ ਦਯੋ ਮੋਲ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਹ ਲੀਨ ॥
adhik darab taa kau dayo mol putr tih leen |She paid lot of money to that lady and bought her son.
ਸੁਤ ਉਪਜ੍ਯੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਰਾਇ ਕੇ ਯੌ ਕਹਿ ਉਤਸਵ ਕੀਨ ॥੮॥
sut upajayo grih raae ke yau keh utasav keen |8|The announcement of the birth of son of Raja gave her immense satisfaction.(8)
ਡੋਮ ਭਾਟ ਢਾਢੀਨ ਕੌ ਦੀਨਾ ਦਰਬੁ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
ddom bhaatt dtaadteen kau deenaa darab apaar |She gave out abundant amounts in alms to the Bards and Minstrels
