ਜਬ ਹੀ ਦੂਜੋ ਦਿਵਸ ਪਹੂਚ੍ਯੋ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
jab hee doojo divas pahoochayo aae kai |When the second day arrived
ਭਰਿ ਗੋਨੈ ਪਨਿਯਨ ਕੀ ਦਈ ਚਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
bhar gonai paniyan kee dee chalaae kai |So they sent the bags full of shoes.
ਲੋਗ ਖਜਾਨੌ ਜਾਨਿ ਟੂਟਿ ਤਾ ਪੈ ਪਰੇ ॥
log khajaanau jaan ttoott taa pai pare |(Enemy) people thought it was a treasure and fell on it.
ਹੋ ਉਹਿ ਦਿਸਿ ਤੇ ਉਨ ਬਾਲ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਧਨ ਜੁਤ ਹਰੇ ॥੧੨॥
ho uhi dis te un baal nripat dhan jut hare |12|On that side, that woman robbed the kings with money. 12.
ਦਿਨ ਦੂਜੋ ਗਯੋ ਦਿਵਸ ਤੀਸਰੋ ਆਇਯੋ ॥
din doojo gayo divas teesaro aaeiyo |(When) the second day passed and the third day came
ਤਬ ਰਾਨੀ ਦੁੰਦਭਿ ਇਕ ਠੌਰ ਬਜਾਇਯੋ ॥
tab raanee dundabh ik tthauar bajaaeiyo |So Rani played the nagara at one place.
ਲੋਗ ਦਰਬੁ ਲੈ ਭਜੈ ਜੁ ਤਿਹ ਮਗੁ ਆਇਯੋ ॥
log darab lai bhajai ju tih mag aaeiyo |People fled with their wealth (and it came to that) road.
ਹੋ ਲੂਟਿ ਧਨੀ ਸਭ ਲੀਏ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਕ ਪਾਇਯੋ ॥੧੩॥
ho loott dhanee sabh lee na jaanik paaeiyo |13|(He) robbed all the rich, did not let even one go. 13.
ਦਿਵਸ ਚਤ੍ਰਥੇ ਦੀਨੀ ਆਗਿ ਲਗਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
divas chatrathe deenee aag lagaae kai |(He) set fire on the fourth day.
ਆਪੁ ਏਕ ਠਾ ਥਿਰ ਭਈ ਦਲਹਿ ਦੁਰਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
aap ek tthaa thir bhee daleh duraae kai |Aap hid the party in one place and persisted.
ਸਭ ਰਾਜਨ ਕੇ ਲੋਗ ਬੁਝਾਵਨ ਲਾਗਏ ॥
sabh raajan ke log bujhaavan laage |All the people of the kings started extinguishing the fire.
ਹੋ ਜੋ ਪਾਏ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਰਹੇ ਮਾਰਿ ਅਬਲਾ ਦਏ ॥੧੪॥
ho jo paae nrip rahe maar abalaa de |14|(Here) the kings who remained, (them) were killed by the woman. 14.
ਦਿਵਸ ਪਾਚਵੇ ਅਪਨੀ ਅਨੀ ਸੁਧਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
divas paachave apanee anee sudhaar kai |By preparing his army on the fifth day
ਮਧਿ ਸੈਨ ਕੇ ਪਰੀ ਮਸਾਲੇ ਜਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥
madh sain ke paree masaale jaar kai |She went to the (enemy's) army lighting torches.
ਮਾਰਿ ਕੂਟਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੈਨ ਨਿਕਸਿ ਆਪੁਨ ਗਈ ॥
maar koott nrip sain nikas aapun gee |Aap went out beating the king's army.
ਹੋ ਪਿਤਾ ਪੂਤ ਸਿਰ ਤੇਗ ਪੂਤ ਪਿਤੁ ਕੇ ਦਈ ॥੧੫॥
ho pitaa poot sir teg poot pit ke dee |15|(There was such an uproar in the enemy party that) the father hit the son in the head and the son hit the father in the head. 15.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਰੈਨ ਸਮੇ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਬਿਖੈ ਮਾਚਿਯੋ ਲੋਹ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
rain same tin hee bikhai maachiyo loh apaar |At night there was a bitter war between them.
ਭਟ ਜੂਝੇ ਪਿਤੁ ਪੂਤ ਹਨਿ ਪੂਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋ ਮਾਰ ॥੧੬॥
bhatt joojhe pit poot han poot pitaa ko maar |16|The heroes died fighting, the father killed the son and the son killed the father. 16.
ਰੈਨ ਸਮੈ ਤਵਨੈ ਕਟਕ ਲੋਹ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਬਿਕਰਾਰ ॥
rain samai tavanai kattak loh pariyo bikaraar |A fierce battle took place in their army during the night.
ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਰਾਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਘਾਯਲ ਭਏ ਸੁਮਾਰ ॥੧੭॥
aooch neech raajaa prajaa ghaayal bhe sumaar |17|The big and small, the king, the subjects, countless people were injured. 17.

ਪਿਤੁ ਲੈ ਖੜਗੁ ਪੂਤ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
pit lai kharrag poot ko maariyo |The father took the sword and killed the son
ਪੂਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਪਰ ਝਾਰਿਯੋ ॥
poot pitaa ke sir par jhaariyo |And the son (taking the sword) struck the father on the head.
ਐਸੇ ਲੋਹ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਬਿਕਰਾਰਾ ॥
aaise loh pariyo bikaraaraa |There was such a terrible war
ਸਭ ਘਾਯਲ ਭੇ ਭੂਪ ਸਮਾਰਾ ॥੧੮॥
sabh ghaayal bhe bhoop samaaraa |18|And all the kings were wounded and killed. 18.

ਦਿਵਸ ਖਸਟਮੋ ਜਬੈ ਪਹੂਚ੍ਯੋ ਆਇ ਕੈ ॥
divas khasattamo jabai pahoochayo aae kai |When the sixth day happened
ਦੋ ਦੋ ਮਰਦ ਲੌ ਖਾਈ ਗਈ ਖੁਦਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
do do marad lau khaaee gee khudaae kai |So a trench as deep as two men was dug.
ਗਡਿ ਸੂਰੀ ਜਲ ਊਪਰ ਦਏ ਬਹਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
gadd sooree jal aoopar de bahaae kai |(iron) pole was inserted (in it) and water was poured over it.
ਹੋ ਬਦ੍ਯੋ ਖਲਨ ਸੋ ਜੁਧ ਖਿੰਗ ਖੁਨਸਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੧੯॥
ho badayo khalan so judh khing khunasaae kai |19|He made a war with those wicked and gave the horses a mosquito net. 19.
ਪਰਾ ਬੰਧਿ ਕਰਿ ਫੌਜ ਦੋਊ ਠਾਢੀ ਭਈ ॥
paraa bandh kar fauaj doaoo tthaadtee bhee |(The queen) made the army stand in two rows.
ਤੀਰ ਤੁਪਕ ਤਰਵਾਰਿ ਮਾਰਿ ਚਿਰ ਲੌ ਦਈ ॥
teer tupak taravaar maar chir lau dee |Arrows, guns and swords continued to shoot.
ਭਾਜਿ ਚਲੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਪਾਛੇ ਕਟਕ ਲਗਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
bhaaj chalee triy paachhe kattak lagaae kai |(Then) the queen fled with her army behind. (Seeing this, the enemy team followed)
ਹੋ ਪਛੇ ਪਖਰਿਯਾ ਪਰੈ ਤੁਰੰਗ ਨਚਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੨੦॥
ho pachhe pakhariyaa parai turang nachaae kai |20|The horsemen while dancing the horses fell into the ditch and were chased (with spikes). 20.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਏਕ ਬਾਰ ਸੋਰਹ ਸਹਸ ਸ੍ਵਾਰ ਜੁਝੇ ਬਰਬੀਰ ॥
ek baar sorah sahas svaar jujhe barabeer |Sixteen thousand warriors died in a single battle.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਆਨਿ ਅਬਲਾ ਪਰੀ ਹਨੇ ਤੁਪਕ ਕੈ ਤੀਰ ॥੨੧॥
bahur aan abalaa paree hane tupak kai teer |21|The queen came again and killed (the remaining survivors) with guns and arrows. 21.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਜਬੈ ਸਪਤਵੌ ਦਿਵਸ ਪਹੂਚਿਯੋ ਆਇ ਕਰਿ ॥
jabai sapatavau divas pahoochiyo aae kar |When the seventh day arrived
ਸਭ ਪਕਵਾਨਨ ਮੌ ਦਈ ਜਹਰ ਡਰਾਇ ਕਰਿ ॥
sabh pakavaanan mau dee jahar ddaraae kar |So poison was added to all the food.
ਖਲਨ ਖੰਡ ਕਛੁ ਚਿਰ ਲੌ ਲੋਹ ਬਜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
khalan khandd kachh chir lau loh bajaae kai |By fighting with the enemies for some time and cutting (them) to pieces
ਹੋ ਔਰ ਠੌਰ ਚਲਿ ਗਈ ਨਿਸਾਨੁ ਦਿਵਾਇ ਕੈ ॥੨੨॥
ho aauar tthauar chal gee nisaan divaae kai |22|Then she went to the other side after playing the bell. 22.
ਮਾਰਿ ਪਰਨਿ ਤੇ ਰਹੀ ਸਿਪਾਹਿਨ ਯੌ ਕਿਯੋ ॥
maar paran te rahee sipaahin yau kiyo |When the battle stopped, the soldiers (of the enemy party) did this
ਸਰਕਿ ਸਰਕਿ ਕਰ ਸਕਤਿ ਨਿਕਰ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਲਿਯੋ ॥
sarak sarak kar sakat nikar tih ko liyo |That by moving around and taking spears in hand
ਝੂਮਿ ਪਰੇ ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਦੁਰਗ ਕੇ ਦੁਆਰ ਪਰ ॥
jhoom pare chahoon or durag ke duaar par |The gates of the fort were broken from all sides.
ਹੋ ਲਈ ਮਿਠਾਈ ਛੀਨਿ ਗਠਰਿਯੈ ਬਾਧਿ ਕਰਿ ॥੨੩॥
ho lee mitthaaee chheen gatthariyai baadh kar |23|(From there) took the sweets and tied them in knots. 23.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥
doharaa |dual:
ਬੈਠਿ ਬੈਠਿ ਸੋ ਸੋ ਪੁਰਖ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਮਿਠਾਈ ਖਾਹਿ ॥
baitth baitth so so purakh jo jo mitthaaee khaeh |(There) the man who used to sit and eat sweets,
ਮਦ ਬਿਖੁ ਕੇ ਤਿਨ ਤਨ ਚਰੈ ਤੁਰਤੁ ਤਰਫਿ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੨੪॥
mad bikh ke tin tan charai turat taraf mar jaeh |24|His body would be poisoned and he would die immediately. 24.
ਚਾਰਿ ਪਾਚ ਘਟਿਕਾ ਬਿਤੇ ਬਾਲ ਪਰੀ ਅਸਿ ਧਾਰ ॥
chaar paach ghattikaa bite baal paree as dhaar |After four or five hours, the queen collapsed holding the sword
ਜੋ ਬਿਖੁ ਤੇ ਘੂਮਤ ਹੁਤੇ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਦਏ ਸੰਘਾਰਿ ॥੨੫॥
jo bikh te ghoomat hute sabh hee de sanghaar |25|And he killed all those who had started eating ghumeris (due to the effect of the poison). 25.
ਅੜਿਲ ॥

ਬਹੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਬਦ੍ਯੋ ਸੁ ਦੂਤ ਪਠਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
bahur milan triy badayo su doot patthaae kai |Then the woman arranged for reconciliation by sending a messenger
ਚਲੀ ਆਪਨੀ ਆਛੀ ਅਨੀ ਬਨਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
chalee aapanee aachhee anee banaae kai |And he prepared a good army and went.
ਤੁਪਕ ਚੋਟ ਕੋ ਜਬੈ ਸੈਨ ਲਾਘਤ ਭਈ ॥
tupak chott ko jabai sain laaghat bhee |When the army passed beyond the guns,
ਹੋ ਪਰੀ ਤੁਰੰਗ ਧਵਾਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨੈ ਕਢਿ ਲਈ ॥੨੬॥
ho paree turang dhavaae kripaanai kadt lee |26|So, after taking out the swords and driving the horses (on the enemy party), it broke down. 26.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ॥

ਸਭ ਰਾਜਨ ਕੌ ਮਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਈ ਖਪਾਇ ॥
sabh raajan kau maar kai sainaa dee khapaae |Killed all the kings and destroyed (their) army
ਜੀਤਿ ਜੁਧ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੋ ਗਈ ਜੈ ਦੁੰਦਭੀ ਬਜਾਇ ॥੨੭॥
jeet judh grih ko gee jai dundabhee bajaae |27|And she went home after winning the war, playing the trumpet of victory. 27.
ਤਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਜਗਤੇਸ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸੀਖੇ ਚਰਿਤ ਅਨੇਕ ॥
taahee te jagates nrip seekhe charit anek |Lord kings of the world learned many characters from him.
ਸਾਹਿਜਹਾ ਕੇ ਬੀਰ ਸਭ ਚੁਨਿ ਚੁਨਿ ਮਾਰੇ ਏਕ ॥੨੮॥
saahijahaa ke beer sabh chun chun maare ek |28|(He) killed Shah Jahan's soldiers one by one. 28.
ਇਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਖ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਭੂਪ ਸੰਬਾਦੇ ਦੋਇ ਸੌ ਚਾਰ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਮਾਪਤਮ ਸਤੁ ਸੁਭਮ ਸਤੁ ॥੨੦੪॥੩੮੫੮॥ਅਫਜੂੰ॥
eit sree charitr pakhayaane triyaa charitre mantree bhoop sanbaade doe sau chaar charitr samaapatam sat subham sat |204|3858|afajoon|Here ends the 204th chapter of Mantri Bhup Samvad of Tria Charitra of Sri Charitropakhyan, all is auspicious. 204.3858. goes on

bijai kuar taa kee triy janiyat |His wife was known as Bijay Kuari.
ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਏਕ ਤਹਾ ਬਡਭਾਗੀ ॥
chhatree ek tahaa baddabhaagee |There lived a lucky Chhatri.
ਤਾ ਤਨ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਕੁਅਰਿ ਕੀ ਲਾਗੀ ॥੧॥
taa tan drisatt kuar kee laagee |1|Kumari's eyes fought with him. 1.

ਰੈਨਿ ਪਰੀ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਲਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
rain paree taa ko triy layo bulaae kai |At night, the woman called him
ਰਤਿ ਮਾਨੀ ਚਿਰ ਲੌ ਅਤਿ ਰੁਚ ਉਪਜਾਇ ਕੈ ॥
rat maanee chir lau at ruch upajaae kai |And played with him with interest for a long time.
ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਉਰ ਜਾਇ ਨ ਛੋਰਿਯੋ ਭਾਵਈ ॥
