ਦੁਖ ਦਾਹਤ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੇ ਆਯੋ ॥
dukh daahat santan ke aayo |Thou hast been destroying the sufferings of the saints
ਦੁਖਦਾਹਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਦਿਨ ਕਹਾਯੋ ॥੧੧॥
dukhadaahan prabh tadin kahaayo |11|Therefore Thou art called ‘Dukh-dahan’ (the destroyer of sufferings.11.
ਰਹਾ ਅਨੰਤ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
rahaa anant ant nahee paayo |Thou art Infinite and none could know Thy limits
ਯਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਬਿਅੰਤ ਕਹਾਯੋ ॥
yaa te naam biant kahaayo |Therefore thou art called ‘Breant’ (the Boundless Lord)
ਜਗ ਮੋ ਰੂਪ ਸਭਨ ਕੈ ਧਰਤਾ ॥
jag mo roop sabhan kai dharataa |Thou createst the forms of all in the world
ਯਾ ਤੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਬਖਨੀਯਤ ਕਰਤਾ ॥੧੨॥
yaa te naam bakhaneeyat karataa |12|Therefore thou art called Creator.12.
ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਕਹੂੰ ਨ ਤਾਹਿ ਲਖਾਯੋ ॥
kinahoon kahoon na taeh lakhaayo |None hath been able to comprehend Thee,
ਇਹ ਕਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਅਲਖ ਕਹਾਯੋ ॥
eih kar naam alakh kahaayo |Therefore thou hast been called ‘Alakh’ (Incompre-hensible)
ਜੋਨਿ ਜਗਤ ਮੈ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਨ ਆਯਾ ॥
jon jagat mai kabahoon na aayaa |Thou dost not take birth in the world
ਯਾ ਤੇ ਸਭੋ ਅਜੋਨ ਬਤਾਯਾ ॥੧੩॥
yaa te sabho ajon bataayaa |13|Therefore all called Thee ‘Ajon’ (Unborn).13.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾਦਿਕ ਸਬ ਹੀ ਪਚਿ ਹਾਰੇ ॥
brahamaadik sab hee pach haare |Brahma and others have got tired in knowing Thy end
ਬਿਸਨ ਮਹੇਸਵਰ ਕਉਨ ਬਿਚਾਰੇ ॥
bisan mahesavar kaun bichaare |Who are the helpless gods Vishnu and Shiva?
ਚੰਦ ਸੂਰ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਰੇ ਬਿਚਾਰਾ ॥
chand soor jin kare bichaaraa |The sun and moon also meditate on Thee
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਜਨੀਯਤ ਹੈ ਕਰਤਾਰਾ ॥੧੪॥
taa te janeeyat hai karataaraa |14|Therefore Thou art known as the Creator.14.
ਸਦਾ ਅਭੇਖ ਅਭੇਖੀ ਰਹਈ ॥
sadaa abhekh abhekhee rahee |Thou art ever guiseless, and shall be guiseless
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਅਭੇਖੀ ਕਹਈ ॥
taa te jagat abhekhee kahee |Therefore the world calls Thee ‘Abhekhi’ (Guiseless)
ਅਲਖ ਰੂਪ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਨਾ ॥
alakh roop kinahoon neh jaanaa |None knows Thy Invisible form
ਤਿਹ ਕਰ ਜਾਤ ਅਲੇਖ ਬਖਾਨਾ ॥੧੫॥
tih kar jaat alekh bakhaanaa |15|Therefore Thou art described as ‘Alekh’ (Incompre-hensible).15.
ਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ਸਰੂਪ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥
roop anoop saroop apaaraa |Thy beauty is unique and Thy forms are Innumerable
ਭੇਖ ਅਭੇਖ ਸਭਨ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਰਾ ॥
bhekh abhekh sabhan te niaaraa |Thou art distinctly separate from all guise and not committed to any faith or idea
ਦਾਇਕ ਸਭੋ ਅਜਾਚੀ ਸਭ ਤੇ ॥
daaeik sabho ajaachee sabh te |Thou art the Universal Donor and Thou Thyself dost not beg
ਜਾਨ ਲਯੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਮ ਤਬ ਤੇ ॥੧੬॥
jaan layo karataa ham tab te |16|Therefore I have known Thee as the Creator.16.
ਲਗਨ ਸਗਨ ਤੇ ਰਹਤ ਨਿਰਾਲਮ ॥
lagan sagan te rahat niraalam |Thou art not influenced by any omen or auspicious time
ਹੈ ਯਹ ਕਥਾ ਜਗਤ ਮੈ ਮਾਲਮ ॥
hai yah kathaa jagat mai maalam |This fact is known to all the world
ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਰਿਝਾਯਾ ॥
jantr mantr tantr na rijhaayaa |None of the Yantras, Mantras and Tantras please Thee
ਭੇਖ ਕਰਤ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਨਹਿ ਪਾਯਾ ॥੧੭॥
bhekh karat kinahoon neh paayaa |17|And none could realise Thee by adopting different guises.17.
ਜਗ ਆਪਨ ਆਪਨ ਉਰਝਾਨਾ ॥
jag aapan aapan urajhaanaa |All the world is engaged in its own interests
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਨ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥
paarabraham kaahoon na pachhaanaa |And none comprehends the Transcendental Brahman
ਇਕ ਮੜੀਅਨ ਕਬਰਨ ਵੇ ਜਾਹੀ ॥
eik marreean kabaran ve jaahee |For Thy realization many go to the cremation ground and graveyards
ਦੁਹੂੰਅਨ ਮੈ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧੮॥
duhoonan mai paramesar naahee |18|But the Lord is not there in both of them.18.
ਏ ਦੋਊ ਮੋਹ ਬਾਦ ਮੋ ਪਚੇ ॥
e doaoo moh baad mo pache |Both of them (the Hindus and Muslims) are destroying themselves in attachments and in vain discussions and disputes
ਤਿਨ ਤੇ ਨਾਥ ਨਿਰਾਲੇ ਬਚੇ ॥
tin te naath niraale bache |But O Lord! Thou art distinctly separate from both of them
ਜਾ ਤੇ ਛੂਟਿ ਗਯੋ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਉਰ ਕਾ ॥
jaa te chhoott gayo bhram ur kaa |He, with whose realization, the illusion of the mind is removed
ਤਿਹ ਆਗੈ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਕਿਆ ਤੁਰਕਾ ॥੧੯॥
tih aagai hindoo kiaa turakaa |19|Before that Lord, none is a Hindu of a Muslim.19.
ਇਕ ਤਸਬੀ ਇਕ ਮਾਲਾ ਧਰਹੀ ॥
eik tasabee ik maalaa dharahee |One of them wears a Tasbi (the rosary of Muslims) and the other one wears Mala (the rosary of a Hindu)
ਏਕ ਕੁਰਾਨ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਉਚਰਹੀ ॥
ek kuraan puraan ucharahee |One of them recites the Quran and the other one reads Puranas
ਕਰਤ ਬਿਰੁਧ ਗਏ ਮਰਿ ਮੂੜਾ ॥
karat birudh ge mar moorraa |The adherents of both the religions are foolishly dying in opposing each other,
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੋ ਰੰਗੁ ਨ ਲਾਗਾ ਗੂੜਾ ॥੨੦॥
prabh ko rang na laagaa goorraa |20|And none of them is dyed in the love of the Lord.20.
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਰੰਗ ਏਕ ਕੇ ਰਾਚੇ ॥
jo jo rang ek ke raache |Those who are imbued in the love of the Lord,
ਤੇ ਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਲਾਜ ਤਜਿ ਨਾਚੇ ॥
te te lok laaj taj naache |They forsake their shyness and dance in ecstasy
ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਜਿਨਿ ਏਕੁ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥
aad purakh jin ek pachhaanaa |Those who have recognized that Primal Purusha,
ਦੁਤੀਆ ਭਾਵ ਨ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਆਨਾ ॥੨੧॥
duteea bhaav na man meh aanaa |21|The duality is destroyed form their hearts.21.
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਭਾਵ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਚੇ ॥
jo jo bhaav dutiy meh raache |Those who are absorbed in duality,
ਤੇ ਤੇ ਮੀਤ ਮਿਲਨ ਤੇ ਬਾਚੇ ॥
te te meet milan te baache |They are far away from the union of the Lord. Their supreme friend
ਏਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਜਿਨਿ ਨੈਕੁ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥
ek purakh jin naik pachhaanaa |They who have recognized the Supreme Purusha even a little,
ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਪਰਮ ਤਤ ਕਹ ਜਾਨਾ ॥੨੨॥
tin hee param tat kah jaanaa |22|They have Comprehended Him as the Supreme Essence.22.
ਜੋਗੀ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਹੈ ਜੇਤੇ ॥
jogee saniaasee hai jete |All the Yogis and Sannyasis
ਮੁੰਡੀਆ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਗਨ ਕੇਤੇ ॥
munddeea musalamaan gan kete |All the ascetics and monks with shaven heads and Muslims
